I had an amazing time with me and my family, my sisters birthday was here and the staff was all so nice going out of there way to make our experience as comfortable as possible. Our server, Kim, was also very helpful, with a friendly demeanor and smile that just makes you feel like you're chatting with a friend. The servers who brought the food around were also very helpful, always very polite and extremely professional. I can see why the pricing is so high it is definitely a great and thrilling experience. We decided to go eat at Texas de Brazil on Saturday because our home state, Louisiana, still has not allowed restaurants to open for inside dining. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our server was at our table very quickly to take our drink orders and explain the dining process, which is a little different right now. Instead of going to the salad bar, we told our server what we would like (from a list of options provided) and she prepared the plates and brought them to us. The food from the salad bar was fresh and delicious, and our server went back to get us more food on new plates as often as we wanted. It was then time to order the meats! We got to choose 4 meats at a time, and they brought enough for everyone at our table to have a serving or two. We ended up trying a total of 8 meats, all of which were excellent. We finished with dessert - a cinnamon swirl cheesecake that was unbelievably good. We were so happy to be able to sit down and eat in a restaurant, and we're glad we chose Texas de Brazil! read more

I enjoyed myself. My husband and I went for my birthday on a Tuesday night. He made reservations just in case, but it wasn't needed. We were sat immediately and our server was awesome. He was very attentive, but at the same time let us be. Our waters were filled, our plates were moved, and our napkins were folded every time we left the table. That was impressive. My family and I ate there Thursday, March 7. The food was really good, however I was really disappointed because I had two young children with me and was charged full price for the children. I paid over $20 per plate per child for them to eat half a plate of rice. Their ages are 3 and 7. I was charged the full amount myself and did not even eat any of the meat. I surprised my parents with dinner, the chicken was dry, the steak was bristle-like and service was horrific. I prepaid for their meal and even left a very high gratuity, my dad had to get up and find someone to ask for meat after waiting for thirty minutes. They did not receive refills on their drinks and saw their waiter minimal. I have now emailed the corporate office three times and have not received any communication in return. Very bad recent experience at the new branch in Tyler. I was very excited to learn Texas De Brazil opened in town and had dinner there with family 3 weeks ago, it was great. Unfortunately, like many restaurants in tyler, the quality drops after the first few weeks. Had dinner yesterday with wife an another couple. Only one meat server passed by in the first hour. He passed by 3 times with lamb and that is all I had for dinner!! Shocked, I complained to the floor manager and he said not to worry and if I had any requests. Nothing came out but parmesan chicken and another type of meat that was served completely rare. 2 hours had past and we decided to eat anither plate of salad and leave. Service was slow, management was unresponsive and 2 to 3 slices if meat were not worth the 200 bucks. read more

We came in from out of town and I had previously made a reservation to eat at this restaurant. It was a weekday so not very busy and we were seated right away . I don't recall our waitresses name but she was really attentive and nice. They had us write what we wanted on our salad on a preprinted sheet of paper. I assume due to Covid-19. We tried all the meats but the sausage, beef, and Parmesan crusted chicken wing were our favorites. They definitely kept the meat coming and before I knew it we were full. It was expensive but the experience my family had was worth it. They do have military discounts here as well for the whole family not just the military member. We went on December 30th, to celebrate a birthday. We had a reservation for 4:15 - arrived about 15 minutes early and we were seated promptly. Our server, Andrew, was excellent and the entire service staff was on point. When we went to the salad bar, we came back to our table where our napkins had been beautifully re-folded. All the meats we sampled were delicious and prepared as we asked (we tend to like our beef rare to medium rare). I was disappointed to read some of the other reviews because I thought everything was outstanding. It is expensive, but we would enjoy going again for a special occasion! read more

I was a little skeptical to try this one cause they're a little bit expensive for something you don't like. But they are every bit as good as my previous employer if not better! Worst service and meal ever! We waited one hour after reservations. Waiter greeted us 15 min after we sat down and brought us papers for salad, which we never received. After 30 min of sitting down had to ask a meat server to bring us a plate for the meat, which they did immediately. Food was either rare or well-done. We kept asking for medium. Meat server even acknowledged that our waiter was the worse. Our waiter continued to ignore us but paid a lot of attention to a table that was 20 feet away with 6 people. Finally asked for manager who came over snd said it would get better but service never did. After hour of being seated, our waiter finally came over and asked if there was anything he could do for us.. by this point of horrible service and food my husband told him to go away. Asked for the manager (Fabio) and he sent the helper over to bring us our ticket..Fabio never came to our table. The helper who we learned worked in the back cooking the meat apologized for the poor service, etc and went to talk to Fabio about horrible experience. We were given a discount but no apology from the manager. We are regulars and this is by far the worst experience we've ever had... plus, it was our anniversary. DO NOT go to this restaurant until new management and better servers are hired. We will go find dinner somewhere else tonight at 9:32 pm. There are really no bad meats and they will cook to your desired liking ... which makes it perfect for my medium and my mom who wanted well done(). Decided to give this place a try. While we were seated promptly, I noticed most of the waiters were b.s-ing with each other. Around 10 minutes later, our waitress decided to leave the group and wait on us. I ordered a Grey Goose with lime. 10 minutes later, my drink came. No lime, that took another 10 minutes. The pork and chicken were both dry. The food wasn't the best and the drinks were way overpriced. My Grey Goose and tonic was $9.50 and my wife's Martini was $11.50. I have eaten at Texas de Brazil in FTW and Houston o multiple occasions and was super excited to escort my parents on their first trip to a Texas de Brazil. The experience, and that what it should be, was not up to par with previous experiences. We made a reservation and arrived 10 minutes early, we still waited 25 minutes. We were seated in what appeared to be and felt like the "bar" area. The ambiance wasn't there, it was bright and close to the front door and bar. The main dining room was what I would have expected as we had reservations. The salad bar was excellent as I have come to expect and the bisque was also good, but the meat was all under cooked , all of it - every piece. I asked for medium every-time and most time I was given rare or one one occasion what appeared to be below rare. The service was also lacking, I had to ask for more water, ask to have plates removed, ask for more bread and ask to have someone find my waiter. They even removed the bananas before I was finished with them while picking up some of the plates. We did order dessert and the check was brought before we even got the dessert. They then came back to pick up the check before we had even put a spoon in the desert. It was close to closing time, but again at 50+ bucks a person - I would expect the waiter to still be attentive and not make me feel rushed and definitely not be MIA. Overall I have had good experiences at other locations, this one will turn you off to the chain and that's unfortunate. Bernard's would have been a better choice and is where we will go in the future. Reservation was 8 pm 12/27 and the waitress was a young blonde female and there were 4 in our party. Had dinner with my wife at Texas de Brazil on Christmas Eve. We each had a cocktail (she had a margarita & me a glass of wine). A trip to the salad bar did not appear to be as fresh & well stocked as on our previous two visits. We basically had the filets & mashed potatoes. The filets had fat and grizzle which we had not experienced before. We took home a desert (key lime pie) that we ate later that evening at home. The bill came & with a tip it totaled $145.56 (service was good & I think the tip was approx. $22-$24). Didn't think the salad bar & filets were even close to the quality we had experienced on our previous two visits & I really doubt I will ever go back there for a meal. read more

This place has fairly decent food. The service has been great during our two visits. We were disgusted yesterday when my wife went to use the ladies room and there was shit all over the toilet. Maybe someone should take a look occasionally. It is not the restaurant's fault that people are disgusting shitbags, but they should try to mitigate these fecal matters. I also was disappointed that I had to sit and listen to someone's kid bang plates on the table and scream constantly while trying to enjoy my meal. Went in to have dinner on 12/9/18 with my fiancé. After dining for about 15 minutes the waiter comes to take empty soup bowls and plates. Somehow he managed to drop all the plates all over me ruining my new sweater and jeans and getting food particles and liquid in my beard. I understand these things happen, but the lack of professional management and leadership is apparent . I got a half ass apology from the waiter, and a bartender gave me club soda so I could wipe my stains off. She also offered me a coupon for dry cleaning....Never once did the managers come talk to me, offer to pay for my meal or even offer a discount. From the look of things they were all huddled together joking about the matter! After sitting there for another 10 minutes, no one came to acknowledge us, that includes the guys that serve the meat. We ended up just walking out as all the management just watched us. There is a reason that this is a failing location. POOR MANAGEMENT!!! I have been supporting this restaurant at various other locations for the greater part of 10 years! Were greeted and seated promptly for our reservation. Introduction to the restaurant was very good explaining how things worked, was provided a beverage menu & house specialty, and the meats that would be offered for the evening. We realized because of Father's Day weekend and because reservation times were very limited that they would likely to be busy, and they were. However, it was very apparent they were not prepared for the volume. Beverages took an inordinate amount of time to get initially (besides water) or subsequently. We waited 10-15 minutes after reordering each time and our last requested beverages we had given up on ever getting whenever they apologized and finally brought them. We flipped our cards to green soon after visiting the salad bar and basically never turned them back over (red) until we were finally finished... two-plus (2+) hours later. If we wanted Picanha or Chicken we would have been set. Anything else, was a significant wait and we had to ask repeatedly for other selections. I had literally given upon getting the Leg of Lamb (that I had asked about/for when we were first seated at 5:45 pm on Saturday). The quality of the food was never in question and I attribute some of the challenges to getting served to us being seated at a table right next to the salad bar. We watched customers toward the middle and back of the seating areas being covered up with Gaúchos (servers). They basically FLEW past our table with our green cards faced up on their way to tables within the core of the restaurants. To top this off, whenever I made reservations one option was to specify the occasion. We were there for my wife and my anniversary and my adult son's birthday and I specifically marked Anniversary. Unfortunately, we were never asked anything about this or what was the occasion for our visit which was disappointing.
