Do not use this company! 1st tech said the unit needed freon, but he couldn't figure out how to add it, said he'd have to talk to his boss. EIGHT days later, after calls, voicemail, and texts from me with no responses, I called and talked to the owner, who didn't know anything about it, but then called back to say he'd "dropped the ball" but had gotten back with our home warranty company to complete the paperwork they'd sent him SIX days before. The home warranty company, based on the owner's information, denied the claim because, now, all of a sudden, the problem went from a freon problem to total replacement of the unit because it was "improperly installed". I first requested a free HVAC tune-up through American Home Shield, and the Texas Heat & Air technician found an issue with my furnace's circuit board. Because the request was only for a tune-up, they couldn't repair it without AHS authorization. I initially vented my frustration (meant for AHS) in the wrong place - but Texas Heat & Air handled everything professionally. Once I submitted a new request, they got the job reassigned, came out the next day with the part, and fixed the issue quickly. Great service and communication all around! read more

This company is unprofessional. They schedule an appointment for the next day. I took the day off of work to be there. Then they sent a text message at 4:15pm to tell me they would not coming the next day and would be coming 4 days later. When i told them that would not work and that I had taken the day off, the owner called me. When I complained about them breaking a commitment the owner started yelling at me. Then he cancelled the service with AMS. If AMS books them for you, call them and ask it to be re-assigned. read more

He was able to repair my aging system and restore heat to my house so I could sleep warmly. I was especially appreciative as I dealt with four days with no power or heat during Snowmageddon a few years ago and don't want to repeat that experience. This company was hired though my warranty company. Although they came out as scheduled to asses the issue they never got with my insurance to provide a work order update. I attempted to personally follow up and contact them twice. They nver returned my call. Since the assessment it has been a week and my insurance mor I can get ahold of them leaving me to know the status or how much longer we'll be without air. I called them again, left a voicemail. Lets see if they'll call back. This comp is horrible and do not consider the needs and i of their clients lives I.e children, disabilities or pets whom are within the home who need a.c. If I could give this company zero stars if I would! Unfortunately, my home warranty company uses this company. I had a technician come out to my home May 29th. He diagnosed the problem in the attic & never took 1 step foot outside to look at the unit. I asked him what he felt the issue was? He told me I would be hearing from the warranty company in a few days. One week and a day later still no news. I reached out to American Home Shield and according to them NO report was ever submitted. I called them back the next week because I start receiving text to my phone that somebody else from Texas heating and air was coming out. I called American Home Shield and said I did not know about a technician coming out again I'm at work. But still nothing, no news. I call American Home Shield multiple times & finally I receive an email from them with a report from Texas Heat & Air stating that a technician came out to my house added Freon and returned 3 days later. This is an absolute lie! Technician never stepped foot outside my house did not add a drop of Freon, & certainly did not come out three days later which would've made it a Sunday, which they charge an extra $100 to do & that my unit needs to be replaced. I will not be using Texas Heat & Air and I would not recommend them to anyone! Liars don't get my business! The owner called and said this is the first he was hearing of it. I asked them who submitted the email. Does he not read his stuff?? I also asked him do you not keep records of when your technicians are out ?? Texas Heat and Air of Cleburne is the worst company. Unfortunately that is who our home shield contracted out to come service our AC unit. It stopped working in August. They came out said it needed a part. They had to order the part upon approval of home shield. Home shield approved it. Part was ordered. Came in about a week or so. Texas Heat and Air sent one of their techs back out to install it. Instead of waiting a few minutes to see if it was working correctly, they said it's fixed and left. I left the house. Came back a few hours later, it was 80 degrees in my House. Called the company up said they needed to come back out and take another look cause it wasn't working. The receptionist said they couldn't come back that same day and it would be another 2 days. The receptionist also assured me that they would send their senior technician out instead of the guy they sent originally. 2 days later it was the same technician and not the senior technician she assured me they were going to send out. My husband said that guy came and stayed a few minutes and said he could not fix it and did not know what was wrong with it and left. Needless to say my husband and I were both on the phone contacting the company and Home Shield that day. I asked the receptionist to have the manager call Me as soon as he was available, I told her that it was unacceptable to have the same guy come out twice and still could not fix the AC it had been almost a month we were without AC. The manager called my husband shortly after I talked to the receptionist and told him I was rude to his staff and made his gal cry And that he didn't want to continue doing business with us. His receptionist completely lied and made up a story and said I was cussing and I was rude to her. That NEVER happened. Our AC was fixed the next day. Our nephew said it was a 5 minute fix he went to the attic and all it was was a few loose wires. Incompetent technicians is all I have to say. He will even show you a picture of a melted part and say it was a surge so that (AHS) home warranty company will not cover . He will then proceed to give you a quote for a new system and tell you it is at a discount. I had my AC guy out and not only did he fix it, he would sell a new, better system at less than what tim quoted. Where do I start? I have a home warranty through Choice Home Warranty. My HVAC went out and so I made a claim to get it fixed. They sent this business out. The guy came out and fixed my system. Great... thought all was well paid my $65 service fee and moved on. The next day I get an email from Choice Home Warranty stating they have declined my claim. I then received a phone call from the owner and tech of this business and stated that I owe him 200 dollars because choice declined my claim and also stated he would get his lawyer involved and I would have to pay legal fees, etc. I contacted choice home warranty. Spoke with a case worker who stated I didn't need to pay anything and that it was on the tech for not giving me an estimate and that choice would take care of it. Monday comes around and the owner contacts me and says that I still have a past due balance that needs to be paid and I told him what choice stated. I then contacted choice again and spoke with another case worker. She said she would get back to me. She later called me and stated that since choice denied it because it is not included in their agreement that choice will not be doing anything. She stated the tech said you can pay the 200 dollars or choose for him to remove the part and fix it myself. read more

Texas Heat and Air was sent out by our home warranty company. No issue with timeliness. Major issue with diagnosis. Told our warranty company we needed a $1500 computer board. Took a week for them to tell them that diagnosis . Took them one day to tell us. They were waiting on us to just have them fix and pay before submitting. Turns out this was not the problem at all. It's actually nothing to do with the computer board needing replaced. Two additional companies come out, same diagnosis, same repair stating needing done. I hate writing negative reviews but I feel terrible for any victims of being scammed by businesses and hope this helps. Good luck getting them to respond to any and everything as well. Where do I even start with this company......I called first thing Mon morning and requested service with my home warranty (Old Republic) on my AC. They put in a work order with this company. I waited an hour and a half and still no call so I called myself and spoke to Trinity. Trinity said "I'll be working on tomorrow (Tuesdays) schedule around lunch and I'll call you back and give you a time." She called late Monday and said my appt was set for THURSDAY between 2-5. I asked what happened to tomorrow, she said well with all the rain it has gotten us behind. Not sure about the validity of that explanation. Thursday rolls around and the tech did not show up until 5:28 and we never received any sort of courtesy call to inform us that he would be that late, STRIKE 1.My husband excitedly met the man at his truck, "Hi, I'm Traivs." Man said nothing and rudely asks to my husband "can you put your dogs up" because apparently it was a problem that our PUPPIES were greeting him with wagging tails. My husband said "No, they are outdoor dogs but they won't bother you," which they never did, kind of a strike 2 but we'll let that pass. He takes him to the outdoor unit, man proceeds to run some tests and my husband tries to make small talk and the man was NOT having it. Frustrated with his unprofessional demeanor my husband gives up and walks away. After a few minutes of tinkering he says "that will be $75, cash or check." We don't carry either so the man walked back to his (already running vehicle because HE NEVER EVEN SHUT IT OFF and was also at our home for 14 minutes total, STRIKE 2) truck and hollers out "the warranty company will invoice you" slams his door shut. My husband walks up to window, knocks on it and asks "so it was low on freon?" he said "YEP!" and yanked is door shut and drove off, STRIKE 3. One hour later and the temp was steadily climbing, clearly not fixed by adding that freon, STRIKE 4. I call the office, of course its after hours, I press the "urgent" call code. It then forwards me to a recording that says "I'm sorry but the person you have called has not set up their voicemail," STRIKE 5.This morning I call their office around 7:30AM, no answer. I go online to see if there is another number or other contact info. I see the HORRIBLE reviews written and realize, as mad as I am, and based on what I am now seeing is the obvious way they run this company, I do not want them back on my property so I call my warranty company. I explained what happened and she excluded them from my policy so they will never give me that company again, and instead sent us to Indoor comfort Air Conditioning and Heating out of Benbrook (682-220-8830 whom I HIGHLY recommend, please take a look at the 5 star review I gave them on their page, simply wonderful people!!!!). She had to get a report from TX heat and air and she said she would get back to me. Meanwhile I get a call I couldn't answer, it was someone from TX heat and air. In the background we hear the FULL conversation about our home!!!! Can you believe it?! Haha. I heard the tech lying through his teeth. He said "well, I went over to the unit and the homeowner had taken it apart" Ummm, NOPE! All in all Texas Heat & Air is a HORRIBLE company, I honestly can't even believe they are still in business! They are unprofessional, rude, uncaring, not easy to get ahold of, not willing to work, etc. I could go on and on but I think the length of this review shows my level of distain for these individuals and this company!!! I also recommend that if your home warranty tries to use Texas Heat & Air, you might try to see if you can tell them you have used them in the past and they aren't allowed in your home or something. I know they usually don't give you an option but maybe that would work. Save your self the time and money (we had to go spend $400 on a window unit because they took so many days to get to us, and never fixed the problem anyway). I do know that Indoor comfort Air Conditioning and Heating from Benbrook) is in their database of companies they use so perhaps see if you can request them, you will be glad you did. read more

We submitted an insurance claim to have our AC repaired by this company. They never showed up to repair our system and some how tried to lay the blame on us the customer by telling the insurance company that we knew they were not coming out due to weather, which was not true. They should have called us regardless of weather if they were not coming out, that is called professionalism when you cancel on a customer. When they supposedly rescheduled and didn't show up on the following Monday, they said they called but conveniently didn't leave any message nor did they reschedule, so thats a second day wasted of my time. We even called them the second day and asked them to call and on the 3rd day still didn't have a call back so we contacted the insurance company who reached out to this company. Interestingly enough they laid blame each day on us, the customer, as to why they didn't show up. There is nothing professional about that, and I would never recommend this business to anyone! read more

He way overcharged for his services, I mean way overcharged, when we were in dire need of heat during a severe winter polar vortex. He showed up w/o any of the tools needed for the job and to get the heat "fixed" I had to let him borrow my tools. And to top it off the "repair" was installed incorrectly. $1100 for 35 minutes work with my tools and a part I could purchase locally or on the internet for $70-$100. I give Texas Heating and Air no stars. This is the most unprofessional and unreliable company that I have ever seen. I'm extremely frustrated after speaking to Tim on several occasions, not sure if he is the owner or the technician but hopefully as the owner he would care a little bit more about his business and the reviews. Tim seem more concerned about who was living in my home and other unrelated issues versus repairing my ac unit. My landlord found him through his warranty company and Tim initially reached out to me on Friday 4/30/2018 and said he was on his way and showed up between 430p.m. to 445 p.m. to only come in my home for five minutes to act like he did not know the thermostat upstairs was in master bedroom. He came in and asked my mother questions about the system when I had already told him what the issue was, then he just left and later told me well he could not properly determine the issue due to my mom not knowing where the thermostat was located but during the same conversation he told me the thermostat was in the master bedroom and the coils were frozen and he would come back. Not sure why the coils were frozen because the unit was not even on for days because it did not heat or cool and as far as the Thermostat all he needed to do was check the upstairs bedrooms. It appears to me that it was a holiday weekend and just didn't want to be bother at all. Then I asked could he come back Saturday and he was like no ma-am its Easter weekend and no one will be in the office until Monday. After that I should have used by first mind because he was like just call the office I may can get there Monday or Tuesday but he left the card with my mom and act like he was annoyed when I asked for the office number. I asked if there was anyway he could come back Saturday because it was really hot upstairs and that I have a new baby and a disabled son but he said no it would be next week. Although, there website shows there open 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Then he couldn't tell me when he could come back out and to call the office on Monday and when I call on Monday he answered and scheduled my appointment for Tuesday from 12-4 and called and cancelled due to some bogus excuse about rain and hail in Joshua when I live in Crowley, although it was not raining in Crowley. Then he said well its raining and temperature need to be up to 71 , well it was not raining in Crowley and it was very warm so he can come tomorrow. If I had known my landlord was using this company I would have checked the reviews and told him to stay away from this company. It appears to me this company only want to get the warranty fee but do not want to do the work. Never again!! read more
