This was our first time going to this Pumpkin Fest. We had previously gone to the one in front of the Leander Humane Society. This one is much bigger with rides for the kiddos, plenty of photo opportunities, food trucks, live music, a small petting zoo, a train ride, and wait for it a beer garden. Our crew went on Halloween day and we were surprised at the lack of crowds. We were able to park close to the entrance and we never waited to go on any of the rides. The rides had seen better days but our granddaughter had a blast on the tea cup, train, and slide rides, and that's all that matters. We snacked at the Jamaican food truck and their jerk chicken & shrimp plates were very good. The beer garden provided us with a Sam Adams Octoberfest beer which was a perfect accompaniment on a beautiful fall afternoon. Upon leaving all the kiddos received a gratis small pumpkin. There were plenty of other larger pumpkins for sale. I can see how this would be an expensive day if you have a couple of kiddos. The entrance fee is $15 pp and the rides average $6.00 pp so it does add up. Take note for next year First Responders, Military and Veterans admitted free every Friday. read more

This year's edition of Texas Pumpkin Fest was a definite step up from last years. Tickets were $15 per person and include a multitude of activities from a small haunted house to various photo ops and even some rides. Parking is free but this place can get packed quick so plan accordingly. There are many different food options throughout the grounds as well and good shade coverage, something they added more of this year. We felt like their shops offering was smaller this year but we're not completely sure on that. There are additional things you can do if you buy tokens for them such as: a petting zoo, train ride, and pumpkin smashing. We bought some tokens for pumpkin smashing and it was definitely worth it. The bigger the pumpkin, the more tokens it cost so we maxed it out and got some very large ones and let it rip. It was a lot of fun and we recommend this activity to anyone who goes. Lastly, we searched for and selected our perfect pumpkins for carving, which also were decently priced and healthy/good shaped. This is an extremely fun place to go on a cool fall morning with family or friends and is worth the drive out to Leander no matter where you are in Austin, highly recommended. read more

No it's not at all. Most of things your kid will want to do will cost extra. Example One of the rides costs 2 tokens at $3 a token. So $12 to ride the ride for 2 kids. Yeah pass. The "free stuff" is a joke. The condition of this slide says it all. The guy In front of us and kid even cut himself from the rust walking up. So ghetto. Awful experience. Paid $30 entrance fee for me and my teenage daughter but there was substantially nothing to do for anyone over the age of 8. No hay ride. No maze taller than 3 feet. Substantially nothing included. And what little was offered was extra, a lot extra. We quickly realized our mistake and immediately requested a refund. Instead of admitting it's geared towards young children and refunding our money, the owner immediately became aggressive and hostile, and threatened to call the law on us because we requested a refund. If your children are over the age of 8, Sweet Berry Farm is far better and $0 entrance fee! TPF claims their farm has fun activities for all ages - that's just not true. read more

We made this a family tradition without even realizing it! The first time we came here it was 2020, during C19 and here we are, one more kid later, and my how things have changed!! This festival has grown so much and we had a blast!! There are plenty of activities for the entire family to enjoy that will keep you there all day. There is a large parking lot in the front and parking is free. I loved that they had wagons for you to borrow right out front, so you don't have to carry your pumpkins (or your kids lol)-- also free. Inside they have: pumpkin smashing, train rides, wrestling matches, magic shows, carnival rides, vendors, face-painting, photo-ops, food trucks and of course, the massive pumpkin patch (with a variety of different pumpkins)-- and this list is only what I can remember. Some rides required tokens, while others (most) were free; they had porta-potties (3 of which were wheelchair accessible) and handwashing stations. Every staff person we encountered was kind and welcoming, and kept lines running smoothly and efficiently; they also kept the grounds and picnic areas well maintained. If you haven't visited the Texas Pumpkin Fest with your family yet, GO! It's definitely Texas-sized and so is the fun! It's a family tradition we're excited to keep. See you next year! read more

This is not it. Nothing to do but walk around in dust. Absolutely no value. Feels like a poor man's mall carnival. The few (4) free attractions are in poor condition. Photo ops are scarcely assembled and include tents, chain link fences, and porta-potties for your background. For Texas this is a pretty good pumpkin patch. They have loads of activities for children including a big slide, trampoline, petting zoo, haunted house, and train/hayride. Lots of pumpkins on the property to choose from of all sorts and it's charged by weight $1/pound. They have little wagons you can take around with you. They also have a stand near the VFW selling beer and wine. The only improvement I would suggest would be to try to make the hayride a little more than just a lap around the property. I am beyond amazed at this festival year after year. The staff is very kind and the owner goes above and beyond for the guests to ensure an unforgettable time! I have two boys on the Autism Spectrum, and the fact that they don't charge for those with special needs warms my heart. I never know if the amount of people at an event is going to be too overwhelming for my children. There have been times when we have left a festival ,after we paid, because it was too much sensory overload for them. That being said, I would go on a Friday of you are concerned about the amount of people. The other two days, in my experience, are very busy!! The pumpkin selection can't be beat. There are many food options to choose from that offer a variety of flavors and accommodate many price points. The rides are fun for all ages, children and adults alike. First time at the Texas Pumpkin fest! It's was just me and my mom and cost $29. They have food trucks, kids activities and plenty of photo ops. It is definitely more kid driven. I think it's a little pricey for what you actually experience. We walked the entire fest within 20 minutes. All of the staff was friendly, and it being a Sunday made it very busy, but no long lines to take pictures, and the lines to the food trucks went by really fast too! read more

Highly recommend! Me and my s/o came for around two hours and it was tons of fun! There's mini pumpkins, large pumpkins, pumpkin smashing, a haunted hall, and so many other fun pumpkin related activities! My only issue was the heat but of course Texas will be Texas! They also have a beer garden, bungee jumping, and a petting zoo. This is perfect for family fun, an autumn date, or just looking for pumpkins! We HAD planned on going to this, but they cancelled the whole event at the last minute because we got 0.02" of rain. That's right, it's an outdoor event that cancelled after two HUNDREDTHS of an inch of rain. Like it was never enough to even get an umbrella out for, no lightning or anything, sprinkled very lightly for maybe twenty minutes, and they told people to wait an hour and come back. Or to keep checking back for updates. Or whatever. But all essentially meant that they were cancelling entirely. read more

Great place to take the family. Giant slide, hay maze, magic shows, pumpkin pie eating contest for the kids, bouncy house, and tons and tons of pumpkins. Texas Pumpkin Fest event is exactly what commUNITY is about. Family owned and created with love and it shows! Prepare to be amazed at the variety of shapes and colors of pumpkins and gourds. There's so much to do (train rides, games, vendors, magic show, pumpkin smashing, photo ops) and so many memories to be made. I personally love and appreciate that Thursdays are free for veterans, first responders, military, and their families. And always free entry for children in diapers and our special needs population. This is a large lot filling all sorts of pumpkins, gourds and squash of various colors. There are food trucks and attractions mainly for very little kids. There are some photo spots as well. $67 dollars for a family of 4 just to enter! We were completely taken a back by this and asked what it included. The girl at the front kinda told us what it included, which was some rides, a 50¢ pumpkin and maybe magic tricks? I've been to many pumpkin patches and this, I can tell you, was mediocre at best. They did have some food vendors, but prepare to pay 'state fair kinda prices'. I attended this last year 2023, more than once. There were a lot of activities, for the kids and the adults. The food Vendors were great. Lots of food choices. The lemonade was fabulous and the Giant Corn dog to go with it made it even better. It's actually located at the VFW in Leander. Veterans of Foreign Wars. This Pumpkin Fest supports Veterans and I was fortunate enough to meet a few Veterans who have been directly helped through the support of this event as well as others that have been hosted at the same location. It was nice to hear first hand that this Texas Pumpkin Fest was not only so much fun, but that also really does support Veterans. I can't Wait for this year. This was our fifth year going. And unfortunately, so disappointing this year! They've raised the entrance fee to $15 per person, including children. When I asked if this included anything, at entrance, she told me no pretty much just to see the pumpkins. Which, by the way, you do have to buy pumpkins additionally. And then we found out now you have to buy tokens for pretty much all of the rides. In order to smash a pumpkin, it was six tokens, which would cost you $18! For myself, my husband, and our four year old, we spent almost $150 for two hours... And we really didn't get to do that much with him. I think it's extremely overpriced for what you're getting. In the past, admission was cheaper, and a lot of the rides were included. They are charging tax or credit card fees on top of everything. So every time we bought tokens for three dollars a piece, we were also charged additional fees. They also took away weekday options, which were a lot less busy, and you could actually enjoy the festival a bit more. But now it's only on the weekend, so definitely long lines and a lot of waiting. Unfortunately, this would be our last year we're going to go. read more

The entry fee is $5 a person, credited to your purchase. What you will not realize until you see the prices is that they are 3-5x as much as HEB for the same pumpkins. HEB large pumpkin is 5-7$, here it was $25. The small pumpkins as HEB are $3, here they were close to $10. I understand it's a small local business but the HEB is about 100 yards away and vastly cheaper. read more
