Only reason I'm giving a 1 star is because I can't post without giving them a star. We were traveling and decided to eat here , big mistake !!! First , the waiters and waitresses brought food to the wrong table. Secondly, The food was subpar at best. Lastly, the waiter German "lost" my credit card after he was asking where we were from and other shady/suspicious questions.(pretty sure he stole my card) and I would severely recommend you do not eat here. Because of there unoriganization I had to cancel my credit card I use for my hotels while I'm out of state miles from home i recommend nobody eats here unless you want Your card stolen. read more

I've been to Texas Roadhouse in other states a few times before, and we enjoyed the food... For no reason this place let me down a little bit... It's kinda ironic cause we are in Texas now... Had lunch on Sunday with Lopez couple:) I love the rolls more than the steak... I don't know if living in Texas made me have higher standards for steaks or what, but I didn't really care for the steak I had... And the presentation of the food is...ugly... I had fresh veggies and a salad as sides, and they came in separate plates which left the pathetic 6oz steak in the plate that's too big for it... I understand the salad in a separate bowl but the veggies? One look at my petit little steak and my appetite decreased by half... Well the food, though not impressive, was ok, and everything was alright until a roach decided to join our conversation... We get with our waitress and later the service manager came to us to apologize and ask us if we want anything on the house. We were to full and pass on that LOL .And the next minute another waiter was trying to get that little bug while we were still at the table... The roach might get right onto our plate... I'm in town for business and went in to redeem my free birthday appetizer. I'm a tough critic of restaurants and customer service; however, my experience was NOT disappointing. The fresh baked rolls with honey butter were perfect, hot, soft and not over done and dark. My waitress was Kristan. She was bubbly and energetic. She helped me to pick out my choices! I ordered the 8 ounce sirloin medium rare it was perfect!!! A manager came out and brought me a bag of peanuts and thanked me for coming in since it was my first time at their location. My Snake bites appetizer was great!! Hot and I had to blow on it to be able to eat it. I didn't get to eat much of it because soon the salad came out. Kristan remembered that I didn't want tomatoes in my salad A+! The steak was cooked to perfection medium rare it perfectly done and tender. The sweet potato had marshmallows and caramel sauce. Omg! We have eaten here twice as well as their other restaurants in Lubbock, TX and Corona, CA. Both times here at the Amarillo location, our food has been amazing. I had the 16 oz. prime ribs twice and they were both delicious. When ordering steaks or prime ribs in TX, keep in mind that they cook them a little more well-done than in California. I guess we like them a little more raw in CA. The rolls with honey butter is simply delicious. The service is pretty good considering how crowded they get. read more

Always great if you like to crash your diet every now and then. I love the rolls and I can eat way too many. I ordered chicken fried chicken and the portion was big enough for two. The brownie was disappointing however, but then I am a brownie connoisseur and it's probably a good thing that I didn't find this one too good at all because it saved me 1250 calories. :-) read more

The medium rare prime rib I had here was the best steak I have eaten in my entire life! It was juicy, tender, and flavorful. I had it with onions, mushrooms, au jus, and horseradish. Their caesar salad is also delicious! I will stop her every trip. read more

So disappointed. Staying in a hotel about 100feet from the restaurant. I order two ribeye steaks to-go. I dutifully arrive 20 minutes later (as scheduled). The counter servers are talking amomgst themselves, after several minutes, they notice me and check my order. My order isn't ready so they say nothing and I awkwardly wait. I hear her prompt the kitchen on my time. I notice them filling bags of peanuts. After another 5-10 minutes I see my order come out. I continue to watch them talk amongst themselves, then she realizes my order is two feet behind her. She reviews my order (which is a saving grace). I ask for one of the bags of packaged peanuts and promptly politely told those are for another order and I can get my own. Back at the room, and starving, I opened thr meals but couldn't tell my cold 12 oz ribeye from the 10 oz, thank goodness we had different sides (which was cold too). The steaks were cooked medium well (we asked for medium and medium rare) and burnt on one side. My Aunt didn't even finish her steak. What a way you end a long day of travel. The staff was friendly and the service was fine. The kitchen and prep area looked like an after school gathering. My sirloin steak was a little over cooked. It's not hard to cook a medium well steak. My guess is that there was not a Colaneri school graduate cooking the steaks. In defense of the restaurant, I did not ask to replace the steak and I don't know who exactly was cooking the steaks. Absolutely LOVE the Texas Roadhouse in Amarillo! The service is phenomenal an the food is delicious, not to mention that I can make a mess with the peanuts! This location never ceases to amaze me. The second you walk in the door you are greeted by quirky sweet hostesses, soon to be introduced to their fresh hand cut steaks. The aroma of fresh baked bread and slow cooking steaks fills the air. When to reach you table, your server is there ready to place your drink order almost instantly. My personal favorites are the 11 oz. sirloin, and the fall off of the bone, award winning ribs! We ordered a to go order on Valentines day.We wanted to enjoy the food but not the crowds. Our food was great except my husbands chicken fried steak. It was overcooked and was very leathery. I emailed a complaint, and within minutes Melissa called me and offered me a replacement. Very happy with the service and quick response to the messed up order. Just left here, May 29, 2017, after sitting at our table for over ten minutes and not a single waiter coming to us. They visited the two tables next to us, even to just chat and not serve. And when leaving there were about 7 servers just standing around the host station chatting. First and last time we will ever visit a Texas Roadhouse. We went to Cheddars down the street instead where the food isn't overpriced like Texas Roadhouse and the service has been great! We are very picky steak eaters (I personally hate most steak). But Texas Roadhouse has managed to make the only steak that we like to eat and don't feel dissatisfied paying restaurant prices for. They go out of their way to make our steaks the way we like them. They also offer peanuts and have really good cinnamon butter and rolls while you wait. The only problems I've ever had with service is sometimes it's difficult to get a refill and I have to explicitly ask (even if the server is standing at my table and can see my empty glass). This is not every time though and certainly in the minority of our experiences. As far as food goes, the steak is the most important and fantastic, but the sides leave a little to be desired. The only side I like is their baked sweet potato. Even so, we enjoy coming here and will do so again. read more
