My family came from out of town to visit me and I suggested Texas roadhouse because their food is always good. Upon walking in a waiter looked us up and down. We are a big family of people of color. While waiting "on deck" Andrew looked us up and down as well and kept rolling his eyes while walking us to our table. Always come to Texas Roadhouse each year vacationing from Connecticut. first our server, Farren, was excellent- friendly, smiling, attentive. However our meal wasn't as good as it has been in the past. My steak was lukewarm at best, mashed potatoes looked seemingly like they were thrown in a bowl with mashed potatoes all over the outside of the bowl, my husbands ribs were dry with no extra sauce and a piece of chicken was found under the ribs (leftover from another plate????). We normally make TXRH a regular stop. It's usually very consistent and tasty. Tonight missed the mark. We went early to try to beat some of the crowd, but only slightly succeeded. Very packed house! They seated us and took our drink order and a coupon for a free app. We chose the Cactus Blossom. It came out quickly but was burned on the bottom! We had to request some bread since it hadn't been served until after the App came. The salads were served WAY before we got halfway through our App and our dinners came soon after. Definately felt like we being rushed through our meal. My wife ordered the Salmon and I specifically talked to our server about it when she ordered and asked for it to PLEASE not be overcooked...still translucent and tender. It came out hard as a rock and I could smell how fishy it was from my side of the table! I took a small bite but had to spit it out. Our server apologized and took it back to be replaced. The 2nd one came, but after a much longer period of time than it should have taken to refire an 8 ounce portion of fish. This time is was still a little raw on the inside so still a little tough and STILL fishy! The manager brought it to the table and I told her it was cooked BETTER, but it was still fishy! She didn't really seem to care. Asked if we wanted it replaced with something else. My wife said it would be OK. (She can stand fishy, I CAN NOT!) She also didn't want to wait that long for a replacement. Her Sweet potato was ALSO over cooked and you could plainly see it with all the BLACK skin on the INSIDE of the potato. I don't know how they perform their QC at this location but it clearly is failing. My steak was cooked to perfection and both salads were great as usual. Service was good, just pushy on the timing. Normally, when things go wrong at a restaurant, the manager will apologize and offer SOMETHING to try to make up for the problems. This one did not offer anything including an apology. I did ask her to replace our coupon for the onion app and she complied but didn't feel like she even wanted to do that! The bill came and there was no discount of anything. Friday night 12/16/22 @ 6:30 pm. Usually we come here with my in-laws every other weekend and spend a couple $ and really enjoy ourselves. Tonight our in-laws, in their upper 80's; and my wife waited patiently for an hour and a half to be seated after we were told the wait would be 30 minutes. We understand it's a busy time and night but the two young ladies in charge of seating continuously ignored us and kept telling us we're next, as we watched @ least 15 parties walk by us and got seated. Wouldn't have been so bad but after asking several times, what was going on; the 2 hostesses just laughed and thought it was funny that we gave up and left with our handicapped mother. Real nice. The girl sitting us down was AMAZING! Very friendly. She heard it was our first time so she brought the manager out to us and she created us as well. The server was great and attentive. We ordered drinks (captain and Coke & Jack and Coke) they were fine. My 1 star off was because their was a gnat in my husbands drink. So kinda gross we didn't say anything because honestly what can be done lol. Either it flew in or was there who knows. Not to crazy but just gross. I got the prime rib and never again. I'm not sure what sauce it's cooked in and the Sauce they give on the side just is not for me. My side was a double Caesar. That was yummy. We got fried pickles- really good! We had a wonderful dining experience with Kristina (server) who was very attentive to our needs. I ordered a slab of ribs, and was a little displeased when the slabs were cut and served as two parts. The reason most restaurants leave the slab intact, so it doesn't eliminate the actual rib portion to a FULL slab (which is 10 to 13 bones). If fewer than 10 bones are present, butchers refer to this as a "cheaters racks". When I discussed this with the manager, I was told that Texas Roadhouse slabs are 10 to 12 bones a slab. Okay, let's do the math for GP (general purposes)! My first slab was 10 bones and second slab was 9 bones. Therefore, a traditional or Texas RH slab could be missing any where from 3 to 4 bones per slab order. If 20 patrons order a slab a day, Texas RH would gain approximately 60 to 80 bones daily which equates to 4 1/2 to 6 1/3 full slabs. Who's gaining here? Not the patron dining in! I'm just saying... Stop cutting the slabs Texas RH and serve a FULL slab intact. This is what we're paying for when we dine-in or takeout. Overall, I really enjoy eating at Texas RH! I'm a big Texas Roadhouse fan! We always do call ahead seating (which I recommend everyone do) because there's usually always a wait around dinner time, especially on the weekend. The rolls are super great and soft. I always eat way too many and fill up before my meal. I personally wasn't feeling steak this time so I switched it up and ordered salmon. just had a terrible experience at Texas Roadhouse in Clermont, FL. I had done an online curbside pickup order. I got an email confirmation but no text. when I arrived I tried to find somewhere in the email to indicate I had arrived - still no text. so I called and sat on hold for over 5 minutes. then I went to the pickup window and rang the bell a minimum of 10 times - no response. so I go in and find 5 employees standing around the hostess stand. Asked to have a manager come out to my car as my car was running with my dog in it. I was upset, but she came at me with such a nasty attitude. She says I'm lying about not getting a text, sitting on hold, and ringing the bell. Said they did nothing wrong and have a good day. Visiting family and had good experiences at one of the CA locations but tonight at this location in Clermont the service was somewhat lackluster...both of the grilled shrimp entrees were overly salty and almost inedible even though we asked for one of them to be unseasoned ....kitchen was out of the seasoned rice but instead of offering another starch the Caesar salad was doubled...both kids said the steak was fine. read more

My kids really enjoy Texas Roadhouse and this location is convenient where they have some of their extra curricular activities. The servers and staff typically are extra nice to the kids and the kid's menu has a lot of options. They also love eating the peanuts and throwing the shells on the floor. I have had steak, sandwiches, and chicken. I think the drinks are also a great variety and they bring out fresh hot rolls. If I could do a zero I will give this place a zero. My daughter got food poisoning and when we called about what happened she says well we're not going to do anything about it. She didn't even offer to give us our money back. She threw up all night with the worst pain 8 hours after we ate. Spoke to a manager and she said well nobody else. Typical roadhouse atmosphere and service but if I could give this rating, it would be a -10. I got profusely ill about six hours after I got home. I didn't need anything all day other than yogurt in the morning at 10 AM. I ordered the blooming onion with my mother and the chicken tenders and french fries. I was throwing up Had to go to the emergency room and they told me that it was definitely food poisoning. My mom had to rush me to the hospital. I have never had an attack this, It was absolutely excruciating. My mom called the next day and spoke to the manager at the location. Her name was Dallas Christmas. She said that's never happened to anybody at their location and it must've been something I ate. The doctor at Orlando health even admitted there's nothing else in my stomach other than bacteria from something recently that I consumed. Unless you're looking to die from pain, get admitted from the hospital or be in your bathroom for almost 4 hours. Just not going to this location or having somebody figure out where the management system needs to be corrected. It's true this is a roadhouse right off the great Hwy 27 in central Florida. A celebratory steak was in order tonight and I offered to buy to ensure it was a real steak. Plenty of choices with hand cut steaks on sale at the meat counter. A pail of peanuts accompanied us to our table and aa empty pail for the shells too. Good Ol'e potato skin was an appetizer I was surprised to see and almost ordered until I remembered my portion guidelines. I started with a Garden Salad, all fresh and crisp. And dove into my 6z filet with an add on grilled shrimp T-on, add on sauté mushrooms and steak fries. I ordered no onions chili it was very good even with onions served hot and chef-mate perfect with shredded cheddar on top. My steak was great cooked perfect medium the rest of the meal obviously sat in the window waiting for that steak. I mentioned it to the served but declined a redo plate. Extra disappointed because we ordered off the early dining specials and they don't give the discount for takeout. So we paid full price for some bad meals. My Caesar salad was so full of brown lettuce, I threw out 1/4 off it by the time I picked the brown out. I asked for extra butter for the yeast rolls. I can't figure out if the two butters given were supposed to be for the baked potato and sweet potato or for the dinner rolls. Obviously, two butters was not enough. After arriving we were seated about 5-10 minutes which was wonderful as there were tons of people waiting. First star goes to the front of the house! Our server was Kristina, she was very attentive and had great customer service, which by the way can be hard to find nowadays. So another star just for her! The food was ok. I opted for a sirloin so that may be my fault. I normally get the ribeye but not too hungry I opted for the sirloin which was not to my liking.
