This restaurant means a lot to me because I have celebrated my birthdays and anniversaries there lately and always walked away very pleased. The service is always great without suffocating you and the food is outstanding. My kids love it, too. Went for an early dinner on MLK day. Walked in an told host stand that there were two of us for dinner. They told us it would just be a minute for someone to seat us. Another couple walked in right behind us, and got sat before us. I didn't let that really bother me, and we were sat right behind them anyway. We were taken to a table that would hold 6 people (remember this is just my wife and I) right behind the host station. Our food and service were both great, but my biggest complaint was the host stand. I was able to watch them the whole time we were dining, and it was embarrassing that that is the first and last thing you see. They were just a bunch of young girls, talking about everything but the job at hand. They were chewing gum, drinking from big Sonic cups and just being loud. The other worst part was they would basically lean over our table ever time the phone rang with a to-go order or any other questions guests were calling about. My wife was extremely upset with that. We will probably return, but defiantly not be sat anywhere near that horrible host stand!!! read more

Like most chains, you either get decent product or decent service but not both. Like other Texas Roadhouses that I have been to, this one falls in the decent product category. If you can get over the noise and otherwise tacky atmosphere, they do pretty well on food quality for the price. I had a medium rare rib eye that was done exactly as ordered. My baked potato was also good. The chili is decent as well. The rolls are great, though I prefer to get some regular butter and not just the cinnamon butter. my family's meals were very good also. The reason for the 3 star review is because of the "other stuff." We were taken to the furthest corner of the restaurant before there was any real crowd and made to stand and wait while a server took care of the table of 7 across from where they were trying to seat us. Why? Because there was a giant peanut barrel in the way and it was a table of 7. Even once seated, it was too crowded in the corner (only filled seats in the area were all right next to each other with the barrel limiting space). After that, our waitress forgot items three times and had to be reminded that we had asked for them (plain butter, some extra napkins and another round of rolls). Each time, we got an oh sorry, I forgot. This could have been a 5 star in terms of chain places. I am not a fan of the noise level at Texas Roadhouse, but I know that going in and wouldn't knock a star for something that is intentional to their "feel." read more

Went out for dinner with friends we decided to go here even after repeatedly having issues. All three of us order steaks. One medium Rare sirloin, one rare sirloin, and one medium rare t-bone. The rare steak came out fine the medium rare steak was well over cooked but at this point I was too hungry to send it back the medium rare t-bone was uncooked (rare) so was sent back. After 11 minutes my friends steak is brought back and it's now over cooked at medium-medium well. The hourly "manager" Mariah that brought the steak back was absolutely unprofessional and hateful. Pleasing the customer was not her concern. My friend was giving his concerns and she acted like he was annoying her. Then after walking off she stared down our table and begin talking about us to the expo. After bringing back another baked potato because that's all he wanted at this point. We heard her talking to our server Kristen about how nothing is making him happy. I understand communication in the service industry but talking loudly about a a table within hearing range is absolutely unprofessional. Mariah is not qualified for her title. Only saying that as I myself is a service manager. Josh was great and smoothed the entire situation over. Just being talked about and having numerous issues with out order was so upsetting. read more

We are very frequent guests at TR- but usually at our local location in OKC. This location was great overall but I deducted a star for two reasons: the bread was overworked and over baked. Big uh-oh for us because we LOVE the huge, light and fluffy rolls that are always just ever so slightly "done" on the outside. This batch was very dense and tough, much smaller and more compact, and the outer parts were much darker in color and much more firm than usual. We asked for a second basket but got the same thing, so I guess the whole batch was ruined. Second thing- hubby ordered his steak medium and got more of an in-between medium rare & rare. To me, that's the perfect steak, but it wasn't for me. ;) Hubby stuck with it though (we had a limited time until needing to leave) and he actually really enjoyed it (and it WAS delicious, so props for that), however he did wish it had come out medium. Our server was sweet and attentive- I think her name was Honor. Our food order was all delicious and hot and delivered in a timely manner. We would definitely give them another chance on those rolls! read more

. The parking lot was very spacey with plenty of parking nearside a freeway. As soon as I walked into the eatery, I noticed the placed was full of guests so you know that's a good thing. The young ladies at the door were also very welcoming walking through the doors. I was seated right away and the server came over to take my drink order within minutes of arriving to my table. The server also did an excellent job by communicating with me that it was happy hour for another hour and notified me of the specials. I ordered a half slab of ribs, which were recommended because in Texas eating meat is what it's all about I heard. The server was very thoughtful and advised how long my food would take to be served. Upon being served my ribs, I realized I was going to be full right away as the food portions are huge including my side item of a Cesar salad. Upon trying to take a bite at the ribs, the meat was so tender it just came right off without much effort. Might I add, my half slab of ribs came with two items. This showed me how much the eatery takes time in preparing their ribs. Each piece was tender and not to sweet just right, but again a lot of food portion wise so be ready to eat! The server was very well attentive to the needs of his customers and provided me with a re-fill before having to ask and offered for a box without asking, now that is service! Additionally, the server was very generous about serving his guests. I really would recommend Texas Roadhouse for a good meal if you like a good environment with great customer service read more

"Rick", owner of the Denton Texas Roadhouse can usually be seen tending to customers or moving along with the flow of his large customer service work force. The service is always friendly, the food - from biscuits and cinnamon butter, salads and BBQ meats, this Texan culinary is a mouth watering journey. The menu is generously appointed and I would score five stars just on these stated characters, but also know that Rick is a patriot like no other. Military folks get a discount every day and have a decorated room for them in the rear of the restaurant, and safety officers of both police and fire variety also have appropriately decorated rooms in front to give them the feel of respect and a safe, comfortable surrounding. Good, timely food, service and respect for customers, with so much more would warrant a sixth star if it was available. I highly recommend the Denton (off I-35E) Texas Roadhouse to any local or passerby. read more

I was there with Marshall a couple of weeks ago when the under cooked fish took over 25 minutes to return to the table. Even then it was because we stopped the waiter to see what happened to it. This has been a regular stop for the 8 of us but tonights experience pretty much took it off our list. Neither the waiter or the manager seemed to think it was out of the ordinary for tonights party of 7 to be finished eating when one person's meal was finally ready. What should have taken 5 minutes max to put it back on the grill for a tad longer and bring it back took almost half an hour. The hostess was rude! Told us it would be 10-15 min for a table for 6 people. (It was not busy). 40 min later we still were not seated. When I asked the hostess why it was taking so long she just ignored me and began talking to another hostess. Waited a few more minutes and asked again. I was told we could sit at two different tables. I returned the pager and left the restaurant with the manager chasing me yelling to come back and talk to her. My husband and I met a friend to celebrate our anniversary. Since it was a special occasion, I ordered the Prime Rib with a Caesar Salad and a baked Sweet Potato. When our dinner came, the Sweet Potato was very small and at least a third of the Prime Rib was fat and gristle. I sent it back and asked for a larger potato as well. (The manager agreed that there was too much fat & gristle.) I was very hungry and had to wait for my second dinner to arrive while my husband and friend ate their dinner. The second Prime Rib was about 50% fat and gristle, but I was starved by this time and went ahead and ate. We spoke to our waiter and then the manager. They agreed that the second prime rib was also below standard and that they would discount the bill. When we got the bill, they had only given us a $4.00 discount. We asked for the manager again and after some discussion about not only the poor quality but also the wait time of having to send a meal back, they finally decided to comp. the Prime Rib, although they weren't happy about it. We have dine in this restaurant many times being that the food was really good . But lately I do not know if they have changed the recipe on all their meals or what ever it was that has changed should have stayed the same .It has been not once or twice but 3 times that we dined in and our food was terrible . Not even warm it was so cold the texture of our meals where as if the food we were being served was from a couple of days before . Also my Mother who ordered a Chicken critter meal has hair in the chicken it was very disgusting .I was very upset being that we spent our hard earned $ at this place to only receive old food and hair in our food (disgusting). WE asked to speak to manage but was told manager was a little busy she ended up coming to our table right before we headed out .Will not recommend this restaurant being that they serve old food and not clean at all our silverware was filthy as well very very disappointed. Last but not least as we exited the restaurant we over heard one of the hostess saying someone was on the phone and wanted to speak to a manager on duty due to a to go Salad that was sent out frozen had lots of ice and that the chicken was still frozen in the middle so very disappointing .Do not go to this location obviously they do care abaut their customers and I will not go somewhere where they treat you as if they were giving us the food for free . read more
