The food as always did not disappoint. The prime rib is deliciously flavorful with just a hint of smoke and tender as can be. I am staying in a hotel next door and made a to go order. It was confusing for me as there was no mention to go in a separate to go door. When Igot there the person serving was amazing. He took time to get me what I needed. I went in the main entrance and was first ignored by the hostesses and a waiter. When I finally was able to get their attention the woman who spoke to me was extremely rude and dismissive. Barking at me for asking where to pick up a to go order. I have never been treated like that at the Albuquerque location. Guess Texas Roadhouse Denton has enough business to treat customers so disrespectfully. The Denton I35 location was not welcoming to me and seemed annoyed that I was in a wheelchair. read more

It was very busy, graduation week. Went on a Thursday night at 8 pm. Family of 6. The wait time to be seated was immediate. Except the table was being cleared when the hostess tried to seat us so she had us stand right there in the aisle for 5 minutes. It took about 15 minutes to receive our drink order. My partner put in a request to be put on the waitlist tow a two top. She gave her first and last names and was told the wait would be 45 minutes. We arrived just as she was receiving a text message saying our table was ready. We went to the host stand, and we were told by the host that her name was not on the list. One of the best steakhouse I like to go to. I thought it was different for being in the state of Texas but it was still the same as the other places. Hands down the food was the same which I get the 20oz bone in rib eye along with the two sides. Customer service was the best it could be. Usually the steaks are good! They always seem to undercook them though. So be careful with that. Staff is friendly and prices are good. Sometimes the staff talk to really loud and annoying guys crying about only having your kids for 2 hours a week. Blaming the world, but having listened to your 30 min rant to your "friend" who happens to be a staff member. I can see why you are divorced. We are trying to eat, not hear your life story. My husband ordered his burger with a side of ranch, we didn't get ranch for our cactus blossoms, there's just a big whole in the middle and no cinnamon butter for our bread! This continues to be a top choice for my husband and I because the service and food is not just great, but very consistent. This is not a place you visit and leave disappointed. When it comes to chains, steak lovers have to admit that you can get a really great quality steak for a super reasonable price compared to competition, which makes this the best of both worlds and not a special occasion only place. Is it possible to spend a lot here? Oh yeah, we've done that lots of times. However, our most recent visit was a great reminder to me that two adults can get two entrees with a couple of upgrades and still only get a $27 (before tip) check. When you leave completely satisfied and full with some leftovers, that's an awesome value for a nice dinner. I love the atmosphere here because it's super laid back and you'll have just as good of a time at the bar as you will at a table or booth. If you're the type that wants to catch the game, they not only have plenty of screens, you can see them in almost every section. The lighting is low, but not dark, I think it's perfect. Very rarely it can get too loud in there, mostly dependent upon the people seated nearby. However, it's usually packed and at most it's a dim roar in the background. The noise level is the only potential negative I can see. If you're celebrating a birthday and let them know then it gets really loud when they sing to you. Now you know- open your mouth at your own risk. :) You can't make reservations here, but you can phone in to get on the wait list. Typically if we can find a parking spot (which can sometimes be tough because they're popular), that means we will be waiting 15 minutes or less, so we don't really do that. We did do it once on Christmas Eve though and it was seamless- called to check their hours, got on the wait list with a confirmation number and showed up to be seated within 2 minutes. I believe you can also get on the wait list online, and also place a pick up order. In my opinion, if you show up anytime before 6pm that's your best chance for little to no wait and a comfortable noise level. I love the service here, they have a very high standard for their staff. I've been impressed with really friendly and attentive service on most visits. The hiring manager and training program must be really thoughtful and smart. Over the course of all our visits, there were maybe 2 times where I didn't think the servers were up to Texas Roadhouse standards. Very important note here, those times were not bad (never experienced anything close to bad service here), just average service I can get anywhere. To me, that's a great track record! The food is delicious! You'll always be served freshly hot rolls with their crack butter...erm, I mean cinnamon butter. They are not stingy with it either, we always destroy the first basket (don't judge, it's only 4) and are always offered more. They're even willing to throw in extra rolls with your leftovers if you ask. Typically there is a bucket of peanuts on the table as well. For this reason, you don't really need to order appetizers. We certainly have and I've enjoyed the tater skins and the killer ribs, but it's not possible to leave here hungry because the entrees are big portions and you have the bread and peanuts. Feel free to overindulge, it's just a tip to keep the cost down. They have more than just steaks here, though I don't know why you wouldn't get a steak. My husband mixes it up more than I do, he's ordered everything from the 20 oz bone in ribeye to the chicken fried sirloin to the burger to the ribs to the chicken critter salad. He's satisfied every time we leave. They also have pulled pork, bbq chicken, catfish, shrimp and salmon. They have a decent sized kids menu too. I stick to the filet or the sirloin because I don't like fatty cuts and they're tender and easy to cut. In fact, the sirloin is my favorite in town in regards to taste, portion and price- a great value! The seasoning is always on point and they always have you cut into it to check the cook- and they will fix it if it's off at all! They don't have as many side options as other steakhouses but what I've had has always been good- fresh salads, super flavorful mashed potatoes, well seasoned broccoli, good steak fries. I think one time I found the broccoli a little watery (but still tasty) and the corn was a little meh, but that's what, 2 out of 30+ times? I love consistency! I ordered a full rack of ribs to go. When I got home the ribs were very dry and hard. I called the manager and she told me she would email me a $25 coupon to make up for the bad meal. I never got that coupon. I called yesterday and talked to the same manager and after asking my name she said she never talked to me and said maybe I talked to the other female manager. My last trip to this Texas Roadhouse will be exactly that. I should have left when I pulled up and noticed that the Veteran parking signs had been removed from their parking lot. Went in and was sat next to an unhappy looking older couple (the man was wearing a Army Veteran cap). My family ordered our meal and were promptly served by the same waitress waiting on the older couple. Afterwards I overheard the waitress telling the couple that the kitchen was really backed up to which they responded that they didn't want the meal anymore and wanted to settle up. She left and came back with a manager who apologized and gave the same excuse to which the woman replied that she understands that mistakes happen but that they'd been waiting for an hour. At this point the manager offered to take 10% off of their two alcohol drink order and left. Then the couple noticed that nobody at our table was eating our food and instead were watching this unfold. I asked if they were Army to which they replied yes (he was an Army Vietnam Veteran) and after briefly talking Army together we started discussing what had occurred with their meal. They repeatedly told us to enjoy our meal and not to let this spoil our evening. I felt horrible and was appalled. Then the manager shows up with their plates and acted irritated when they reiterated that they weren't going to eat the meal and just wanted to leave. They paid their tab, thanked us for the pleasant conversation and left without incident. After seeing how Vets are being treated here I'm definitely never stepping foot back into the Denton Texas Roadhouse. To me this begs the question of what in the world is going on with Texas Roadhouse??!! Is this a systematic problem coming from the corporate headquarters?? Disgusted and saddened. The food was not what what ordered asked for ranch dressing got blue cheese, asked for steak medium got well done. Waiter was suppose to bring more rolls didn't get them, has to stop the waiter for more tea, he never came back to the table. Paid him is cash but on the zoisk thing on table said owed the amount I gave him in cash never got my change told him it didn't show I paid like it did my friends he said don't worry sometimes they don't clear. I always think the steak in Texas Road House tastes better than other fancy steak house that I had been to. The meat in Texas Road House has lots of flavor; the texture, tenderness and the portion are all great. My favor favorite is the bread they have there! I believe that's everyone's favorite too~ if it is not, it is okay ... ;) I think the environment is not bad, it is fun when you have peanuts all over under your table.. and you can step on them lol & jk! Sunday Family Dinner - the place was busy but we were seated quickly. Our server, Candace, introduced herself and explained she was new. We ordered drinks, passed on appetizers and ordered dinner. Steak and Shrimp, Prime Rib and a Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich. The food arrived and everything was exactly as ordered which is a great start! Everyone liked what they ordered, the portions are large and reasonably priced. Used their system to join the wait list ahead of time. It worked flawlessly! The time that was estimated was a actually fairly close to our actual wait time. Steak requested medium-well and it was perfect. Server was pleasant and helpful in suggestions and handling our requests. Bread was served almost immediately after being sat, which was nice to have. Chicken was a tad bland and dry, but still good. Not very impressed with the fresh veggies option, but doused in their mashed potatoes anything becomes delicious. Payment at table was flawless, including gift card and credit card. All in all a really nice meal. Note: parking can be hard to find. Normally love the Texas Roadhouse. However, this location is the worst I've been to. Went on off peak time, so there was no crowd. Waitress brought our meals after a longer than normal time. Steak was cooked as ordered, but had sat at waitress station til it was lukewarm. It was also unseasoned and bland. The carrots in the mixed veggies were completely raw which was strange given the broccoli was cooked to mush. The rolls were also lukewarm which is the primary reason my sons want to go here. I have always liked Texas Roadhouse and have an 7 year old grandson that I wanted to take to experience the "peanuts". But lately it's been way too busy for me - especially with that energetic 7 year old in tow. I finally decided to go at lunchtime on a Friday during spring break, with the 7 tear old and his 12 year old half brother. We were very disappointed that the bucket of peanuts was no more, but at least they brought a bag of peanuts when I asked about them. Then there was our food. All was good but it took 3 tries for them to get my steak "medium well". I expect that at a lot of restaurants but NOT at a STEAKhouse. No big deal except the boys were almost through eating when my steak came out the 3rd time. And I was surprised that when we ordered 1 dessert to share neither the manager nor the server offered to comp it. Went back today (not 2 months later) to take one of my great nieces for an early dinner. She had never been here before and was very excited about it. Everything was fine but it took three times to get my steak right this time, too (only this time it was almost burned). My niece had almost finished her meal by this time, as well. I asked her if she'd like a dessert and she said no, but again I found myself in dismay that the server didn't offer us a free one nor were we offered ANY sort of compensation for my meal. I NEVER ask people to take my meal off a ticket and have even argued with managers who tried to insist. As long as it's edible in the end I'm usually ok. But today I realized that this must be a POLICY with Roadhouse. I think they have way too much business to think they need to compensate a customer who's been inconvenienced. It started with us watching our waitress have an in depth conversation with one of her customers that lasted 15 minutes before she finally came to our table for drink orders, then the chicken fried steak was cold and so tough I could only eat half of it, unfortunately we never saw our waitress again to complain. We gave up on ever seeing the waitress again, my wife got up to find a to go box for herself, I paid the check using the terminal on the table, left my half eaten food on the plate, and wandered out of the restaurant. These folks have pandemic take out down pat!! We ordered filet medallions and 1/2 slab of baby back ribs. When we arrived, we were greeted and directed to a numbered parking spot. There, we were greeted again and our name verified. Dinner came out a few minutes later (we arrived a couple minutes early) When we got home, we found the beef cooked perfectly to our requested temperature and all the hot foods (beef, ribs, rice, veggies and rolls) steaming hot - and delicious. Texas Roadhouse is my go-to place when I want a good steak without paying steakhouse prices. The food is always solid, the service is usually great, and the atmosphere is fun. This location was no exception. The staff was awesome (props to Zach, Lauren, and Heather), the food was terrific, and the place was lively as always. If I had to complain, the steak wasn't seasoned very well (or not at all), but I had no problem adding my own. Rather not enough than too much, right? The chili was also lukewarm, but given that I got one of the last bowls that day, apparently, I'm not complaining. It still tasted great.
