I love going here because it's so fair-priced and the food is great, portions are good. I get a medium rare sirloin steak and it comes with two sides, on top of their complimentary rolls and shelled peanuts. I always have leftovers (which is great cause I can enjoy the food twice :P). Their strawberry cheesecake is delicious too. It's seriously such a deal going here. I honestly didn't expect it to be as tasty as it is because the prices are so good. Service is great too! I know it's a franchise but this location is REALLY good! They consistently have good service, they seem busy most of the time when we go and they serve really good steaks. Last time I had their sirloin steak which was really good. It was cooked exactly like I asked, medium rare. Their Forth Worth steak is also really good, probably better tasting since it's a little more fatty cut. I always get it with a sweet potato and honey-cinnamon butter which is an amazing combination. The only thing I would like to see improved is that they would have more tables and not so many booths. It's not always real comfortable in a booth if you are a large party. read more

I do live about 15 minutes away so i did try to factor that into the heat of the food and have some grace, however the food wasn't even a tiny bit warm at all, it was completely cold. I ordered my 8 oz filet medium because i am pregnant and cannot eat rare meat, and my steak came RARE. Some parts still being bloody. While the sides of all our meals tasted great, all our meat was cold and just not good at all. When i called the store i was completely understanding that stuff happens, but since this was an $86 order, and the main entree on every meal was terrible, i was only offered a $20 voucher for my next visit. I really enjoy going to Texas Roadhouse. My girlfriend and I go there often and I've yet to have a bad experience with them. They have a good selection of steaks in varying cuts and sizes, sure to find one that will meet your appetite. But just because it's a steak place don't discount their other offerings. They BBQ Chicken is good, the ribs are good, I've even had their grilled pork chop and it is good as well. They have a solid bar offering more than just the run-of-the-mill stuff. Some decent scotch and bourbon, some mixed drinks, pretty standard stuff. If you're near one and was a decent steak for a decent price, give Roadhouse a shot. The price of the EARLY BIRD special has gone up three dollars. When I went to the delivery window I was given a menu with a two dollar price rise and showing the early bird specials lasted until 6 o'clock. When I tried to pay, the cashier told me that early bird specials stopped at 5:30 despite the menu showing 6 o'clock. When I asked to see the manager, a very young man, obviously the DETESTED by the four people that I met working for him, hissed at the cashier who'd been working there for a few weeks, about a week longer than the manager had been, telling her to throw away the old menus and put out the new menus that showed another dollar increase in price and the fact that the Early Bird prices now stopped at 5:30. He is the manager of the store and HE had two piles of menus with different prices on them. Here's the manager about 25 years old and obviously way over his head and he's blaming somebody else that his menus are mixed between the old prices and the new prices. Absolutely unacceptable; the way I was treated by the manager, but vastly more important was the way he treated his staff. I became a Texas Roadhouse regular in the '90s, when I would take my airline cabin attendants to the Texas Roadhouse in Anchorage. They loved the ambience, the peanuts and the friendly staff and especially the food. I suspect that I've eaten at Texas Roadhouses all over the United States, many more than 100 times; often bringing an airline crew of 16 Chinese flight attendants and a copilot or two. I know this manager is not indicative of all the other Texas Roadhouses is in the United States & I know prices have gone up, but 40% since the last time I went there is a bit much. I think it's Outback Steakhouse for me now. That said, the food was excellent, but this manager's gonna run off all his good people very very soon. read more

Got about 3 ounces of very thin gravy. Had to ask for more. Got about 2 more ounces. Side of ribs, extra sauce. Overcooked to the point where the sauce was burnt. Chili is good, as usual. We enjoy coming here for the steaks, which by all means are pretty good for the price. They have good sides as well, especially the fries and mashed potatoes with rich brown gravy. Over time I've noticed this place is usually packed with people, and with that the service is still better than a lot of places. We've never had to wait very long for a table either. Although a little on the louder side, the restaurant itself has more dim lighting, comfortable and spacious seating and music just loud enough to where you can have a conversation without having to yell across the table. I appreciate that it's consistently clean here as well and that the staff seems friendly and well trained. I had been craving a real chicken fried steak ever since The Greenhouse let me down. Luckily Texas Roadhouse delivered. The chicken fried steak I had here was great, nice and crispy and flavorful with the steak cooked just right. Ariel loved her steak as well. Stopped in for lunch, to try this location out here in Denton. Sat at the bar, the bartender was great. Unfortunately the food sat out in the kitchen, waiting on someone to bring it out to us. Needless to say the chicken on the grilled chicken salad was cold and the lettuce was warm. The ribs were cold as was the chili. The bartender apologized and spoke with the kitchen manager. She took to food back to the kitchen and the manager came out about 10 minutes later with fresh food. So, it appears the cold chicken had been reheated and placed in fresh batch of lettuce, which caused the chicken to dry out. The manager again apologized and gave us a 10% discount on the meal, which was insulting. She went back to the kitchen with a fresh new grilled chicken salad, by this time I was finished with my meal and my hubby started on his. I believe our entire meal should have been comped for the long wait and for having to return the food back twice to finally get it edible. read more

Saturday night at 6PM, only a 10 min wait. Place was full but turning tables quickly. Ordered prime rib, rare, but got medium, gray inside. Sent it back but the next one was even more done. I was told this was the last of the rare, but again it was gray inside. So I ordered a Rib-eye. Took a long time to get it, and it was barely pink inside. Not even close to medium-rare. Well we got a coupon for a free appetizer so we decided let's do it. I like a place that under promises and over delivers. When we got there we were told it would be 15 minute wait. We were called after about 5 minutes. Our appetizer was a Cactus Blossom which was particularly good. (Same item different name) other places are just dripping with grease. This one was excellent. This place is disgusting. We sat by a window and the blinds are filthy-beyond filthy (picture to follow). The ladies restroom was just gross. The toilet paper cover was broken and on the floor. The trash dispenser was barely hanging on the wall-attached to the wall by one bolt. And the most disgusting was the toilet brush container under the sink covered with years of dust and gross stuff! I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. As for the food- chicken fried chicken tastes like it was fried in 2 week old oil and the ribs were smothered in bbq sauce. This was my second time visiting a Texas Roadhouse and both times it has been enjoyable. It's a very casual, country vibe but that's what makes it unique for a chain restaurant. My husband loves peanuts so he was enjoying munching from the free bucket on the table and he informed me that throwing the shells on the floor is all part of the fun at this place! They also bring free bread and a cinnamon tasting butter which is delicious. We both had a $5 LIT to drink which were good and we started with fried pickles which were tasty. We were so full they we decided to split a chicken fried chicken, I had a house salad and hubby had the green beans. Our service was good considering we were in a large group and it wasn't expensive. It's not anything outstanding but I also can't say anything negative so it's worth a visit for a casual meal. read more

We got there got seated and had to wait thirty minutes before I had to go tell the hostess that we have been waiting thirty minutes and no one had even acknowledged that we were there. So the manger can't remember her name but she was short and had black hair so she took our drink orders and gave us an appetizer on the house. So we were waiting on our food and it finally came. So they brought everything thing to us . As the waiter was leaving she asked him where her steak was and he said oh you wanted a steak to my wife and she said yes. Then he said he didn't her us when we said two steak and shrimp. So I gave my wife my plate and I had to wait another thirty minutes before they brought my plate finally. The manager came back over and we told her what happened so she gave us a dessert on the house. By that time Ime and my wife both lost our appetite and we took our food to go home. Those were our two. Plus our sides. I was starving. So she brought bread and some yummy flavored whipped butter. My husband ordered a drink from the bar. We were munching on that bread so she brought another basket.... I told her I don't even like breads but I loved theirs. Our steaks arrived and she asked us to please cut into them and she'd be right back, getting us refills. Well the med well was good. But the med rare was more medium than rare. She noticed it immediately and took it back to get another one. I took one steak fry told her I was starving. She left me the fries and green beans but when they brought it back I had fresh fries. And the manager brought it I didn't want anyone to get in trouble. I told her that I usually don't order steak when my husband does because they almost always (everywhere) overcook mine. My daughter's birthday dinner was quite the disappointment. It turns out their ticket system for placing orders can't handle more than 6 orders (we had 7 people) without the ticket order "getting in their gravy". So the order was placed on 2 order tickets. The first order arrived while the 2nd order came nearly 15 minutes later. So half of our table's guests sat with no food while the other half let food get cold being polite to wait. Two of the steaks were also not cooked to order. Our waiter whose main response was "not my fault" sent over the manager who apologized profusely, however it would have been nice to at least received a comp for a future meal or appetizer or something. Moral to the story: skip this place if you have more than 6 people so the order ticket doesn't get in their gravy. Got to say, as corny as it could be, that Texas Roadhouse is pretty good. I honesty don't have any complaints about the place except maybe parking. The wait time is rarely over 10 minutes even when I have gone at dinner time. The employees have always been polite and kind about everything. My dad intercepted a random waiter and asked him for some help and he happily assisted and was very nice about it. I ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad and it was pretty great. The chicken tastes like it was freshly grilled and has a nice char taste to it. It may be a little bit too heavily covered in dressing but if you like it dunked on then no problem there. The rolls are of course heavenly and I'm pretty sure that's the only reason my mom still goes. Always hot and fresh and if you need a new bath it will be out faster than x through a goose. read more

I originally wrote a review on google about my dine in experience earlier today, but after talking with my wife I figured why not post it on Yelp so that my experience can better reach the people that employ their amazing new addition Anne. I came in around 4 o'clock to this Texas Roadhouse on my way home, been here a couple of times but this time in particular made me feel incline to praise the impeccable service I received from a bartender named Anne. She told me during my brief visit that today was her first bartending shift after training which is why I felt it was even more necessary to brag about her service. She was attentive and helpful during my visit, I don't believe I had to ask for anything at all because she was already on top of it. Roadhouses in general feel like a friendly comforting atmosphere which is why I normally like to stop at them for food on the road, but Anne's service at this particular one will make me always want to stop here for a drink and some grub. Thank you Anne for taking such great care of me today. My wife and I will be returning for your service in the future. While many foodies tend to shun chains, I don't. At least, not those that offer a consistently quality experience across their brand. That has been my experience with Texas Roadhouse over the years. This location is within a very short walk of my hotel. Upon entry, there were several families waiting for tables (always a good sign) so I was thankful to find ample open seats at the bar - always my preference when dining alone. I always enjoy the Roadhouse ambience - lots of wood, good country music, ample TV's showing a variety of sporting events blended with décor that reflects the restaurant's location. Here, for example, was a large painting of a fishing boat on local Lake Lewisville. They even had an Oklahoma Sooner beer sign - not sure about that being right here in Mean Green country! I visit the Roadhouse for their beef, the prime rib specifically. Nicely seasoned and served a perfect medium rare, I managed to put all 12 ounces away (they offer a 16-ounce cut for the true carnivore). My sides of house salad and green beans were fresh and flavorful. And, of course, the freshly baked hot rolls with cinnamon butter are a Roadhouse tradition. I ate one and saved the other three for my son. I would love to see Roadhouse upgrade their wine list a bit. I'm a Cabernet guy, and Roadhouse's offering of Black Horse is OK but it wouldn't be my first choice. I'd love to see them offer an upgraded Cab; I'd gladly pay for it. I enjoyed my meal and some good bar side conversation. As usual and as expected, Texas Roadhouse delivered. read more
