This is by far the best steak in the area and good pricing. Been sitting at the bar top last three visits. The girls behind the bar are awesome and can't receive any better service. Went in last night with a party of 12. They where very accommodating and got us seated quickly. They sent us two waiters to wait on us and the service was great. They where ontop of our drinks all night and appetizers and food where delivered promptly and correctly. Think twice before you dine here! My family and I came in on a weekend, not too busy. However, they brought us to a table that had not even been cleaned yet. We had to stand in front of other families eating while they took care of it. While we were inside, somebody hit my car. I noticed it when we got home and I called first thing in the morning. Apparently Texas Roadhouse has no cameras facing the parking lot whatsoever. This is alarming to me considering I was parked in the front row right facing the doors of the restaurant. read more

I've always been a fan of Texas Roadhouse and hadn't been in sometime however I ended up coming here twice within a week. They decent margaritas that they have on special Tuesdays for $3.50 and only $5.25 the rest of the week so you can't really beat that. We were trying to decide between Outback and Texas Roadhouse and decided on the latter because the Dyer, IN location has always been consistent with the quality of food. I ordered the 10 oz. King Filet and my wife ordered the ribeye. Both were delicious....tender and juicy. Jordan was our server, and very attentive. I like this place more now than ever. Always has good food and good service everytime I've gone and now they took their service a big step further. Every staff member who waits on you asks about your last visit, hostess and servers. I like that! Had a poorly cooked steak and a problem with the side dish. They were all over it. Bad thing about a steak cooked wrong, you send it back and then you get to watch your company eat while you wait. That's anywhere you go. Well the server was GENUINELY apologetic and had the manager come over and she was awesome too. Wish I remembered their names. Got a fresh meal, prepared right and they took the whole meal off the bill. I couldn't ask for more. They handled the situation the best they possibly could and made it right. Excellent! read more

This has become one of my favorite spots. They have the best customer service (waiters and waitresses) in the world. Manager Michelle, comes around and make sure we received great service. We typically went here because we liked the food and they had a Monday discount for kids (and we have a bunch). They've since eliminated that Monday special but we still go because we like the food and the kids enjoy the atmosphere. What kid doesn't like being loud and talking to a giant armadillo named Andy? Hell I still like doing that sometimes. It's a "country" theme so if quiet boring elevator music style dinners are what you want, this is definitely not for you. I like the filet and the kids like the chicken and baked potatoes and loaded heart attack ready cheesy fries. They are good but that means you shouldn't eat it. If you let the server know about a birthday in your group, they'll bring a saddle out and have the birthday recipient sit on it and tell the whole restaurant about it with a big "YEHAAWWW!!" Yeah, hokey I know but the adults get embarrassed and the kids love it. We've always been treated well and sometimes we have a longer wait to be seated but that's because of our very large family. I've read that they have a LOT of MSG added in their food, that's something I'll investigate further. Altogether my only gripe is the elimination of the "Kids eat for .99" and the MSG content. read more

A nice juicy 8oz steak with steak fries, chili, and delicious rolls for under $11? You can't beat this place for the price. I work right across the street at Jewel and come in here very often. The food is delicious and affordable. I have a bunch of receipts from Jewel that have $3 off coupons on the back for takeout making it even that much more affordable. For the price it's hard to beat. Everything is very good. If you want to eat yourself into a food coma for less than $20 this is the place to do so. The only beef I have with it is that it's not open for lunch hours during the week. read more

This is my wife's favorite restaurant. She swears by all the steaks, particularly the Fort Worth ribeye. It's a great atmosphere and the service is always friendly, and they often exceed our (high) expectations. If you're not into steak, the rest of the menu is somewhat limited, but whatever I order, I know it's going to be good. I usually hesitate to get ribs at any other place than my favorite rib joint (Wagner's in Porter), but it is a 45 minute drive and I don't make it there often. Texas Roadhouse ribs didn't disappoint me at all. They are a very close second to my favorite. So close, that when you consider the drive, it's going to be a Texas Roadhouse dinner outing. read more

Where do I start? I took my grandma here as she's never been to any Texas Roadhouse location. It was quite crowded when we came in, but the two of us were seated three minutes after arriving. The service was great, our waiter didn't hover, but he was definitely around our table enough. Polite, prompt, and all around perfect. Raspberry margaritas were great, no ice chunks even though they were frozen. Steaks melted in our mouths! The onion appetizer was hot and delicious. Our only regret was not saving room for dessert. I happen to be in the hospital just down the street and by the time I was admitted the cafeteria here had closed, so I ordered dinner for myself and my friend as a thank you for bringing me in. I ordered via yelp and placed the order on my credit card, He went and picked up the order, which included several sodas. When he got there he asked if they had a drink carrier and was told no. He then asked for them to be taken off of the bill and that is when the manager got involved and said she was not sure if they could be taken off of the bill. I happened to give him my credit card and ID and I am glad I did because they needed it, but rather than credit or void the order I was charged again... for the same meal! He then brought the order back to me and rather than the 11oz steak I ordered I got a 6oz steak, which was overcooked. I then called the store and asked for the manager WHO COULDN"T HAVE BEEN MORE USELESS! I asked why I didn't have an itemized receipt, she couldn't give me an answer. I asked why I got a 6 oz sirloin instead of an 11 oz one and she said: "Because you ordered it". Without an itemized receipt, how am I supposed to know what they think I ordered? When I asked if she would be kind enough to go over the order with me, that is when the attitude really started, and mind you, this is the MANAGER of the store I have on the phone! My friend's order was prepared adequately, but neither one of us ordered steaks with a heaping helping of attitude. I get that sometimes people have bad days and I have worked dealing with the public ALL OF MY LIFE, it is seldom I come across someone in a management position with such absolute disdain for the public or their job.I can spend good money for steaks anywhere, and from now on I will spend my money anywhere else. This is not the first time I have had issues at this particular location either, but on every other occasion they were willing to step up and make the situation better. This is the FINAL Time I will come here!!! I ordered the Rib-eye steak 20 ounce,witch by the way is the best steak they have in rib-eyes. I ordered medium well and when received the steak it looked OK,I was eating the steak cutting the fat off of it,as progressing, there was a lot of fat. Besides the fact of that,when I started to eat some of the steak it tasted burnt,although I didn't see it was until I took the onions and mushrooms off witch was about halfway through the steak. Then I turned the steak over and was astonished that they would serve such a burnt steak. It tasted so burnt that I could not finish it.I called the waitress and she said you should of sent it back. Well by that time it was discovered with the mushrooms and onions on top. it was to late to send it back. You could see when you turned it over that it was BLACK !!! I had a bad taste in my mouth until I went home and brushed my teeth. This is why I will never go back to that place again. The manager was very rude and said you should of sent it back. They disguised the burnt steak with mushrooms and onions.You generally don't turn that over when you get the meal and inspect it like that.
