Party of 4...where to begin. The waitress was disheveled at best. Long disappearances. Had to keep flagging down and asking for simple things, bread, drink refills, clearing of towering dirty dishes. I get it that happens, you don't always win with the server. But simple serving tasks being over looked makes it hard for you to converse and enjoy your dining experience when you have to keep flagging the server down. Or the "I dont want to take those dishes yet..." Food ordered. All the steaks ordered medium rare (warm Red center) without special instructions. Sides came to table by food runner. Salads were great. Then......we waited. It took about an hour for the steaks to hit the table. The steak was medium well (dark, maybe a thin line of pink). Debating over the time it took to get the steak, we didn't know if we should send it back or suffer. I never send things back. I feel awkward doing that. I ended up sending it back. Politely saying "my steak is over done and dry" they agreed and returned to the kitchen. While everyone else was eating their correctly made to order steak. I was promised another steak cooked to my liking, "5 minutes sir and your steak will be here". I was impressed. The manager came over and expressed the same sentiment and apologized. 20 minutes later everyone is done dinner. I am still waiting for my steak. Now I question. Do I take it to go now? Or awkwardly eat while everyone watches from my party. Steak arrives. Finally. I had to inhale my steak while my party packed things up and watched me eat basically. Again, not the dining experience I was looking for or expected at the road house. Now remember the manager knew of the steak, delivers second steaks, and doesn't even worry about making things right. Maybe a free app for the next time? Free dessert? Something that doesn't break the road house bank....but reassures the customer to come back. All and all I will come back. But it will be a while and likely share this sentiment when friends offer up the road house as a suggestion for the evening. read more

Came here due to high recommendation from colleagues. Did not book an appointment in advance. Came here on a Monday night , the place is crowded. We had a party of 10. Waited 10+ minutes for accommodation while we snack on peanuts. The initial service was excellent, the server was quick and knowledgeable about the menu. We got a couple drinks, and the appetizers. Both arrive within 5 minutes after we order (bread, and other finger foods) once we ordered. The waited talked up a storm, and gave us complimentary bag of peanuts with discount card since most of our party never been to a Texas roadhouse. The bread and their spread (cinnamon butter) were delicious. Breads are warm and fluffy straight out of oven. Here is where everything went wrong, and literally made us wanting to pay and walk out before our main course food even arrive 45+ minutes or so had passed by, our order has yet to arrive. Some of our party had their drinks refilled 2+ times. By the time food finally arrive, half of our party has stuffed up on appetizer and bread, and drinks. Some people in our party requested the food to pack up to-go because they were exhausted from waiting. The long wait time for food really soured up the overall experience. Arrive back home, the foods are delicious, but the slow service really left an unpleasant experience. Very bad service. The waiter barely checked up on us and my husband had to got to the bar twice just to get drinks. When we did order a drink with the waiter it never came. Our side dishes came out and hour after our steaks so we couldn't even eat our whole meal together and had to box the sides up. Restaurant wasn't busy and we felt like we just weren't cared about. I had the most enjoyable dining experience! I was celebrating my 77th birthday and just going through the motions. I wasn't expecting much since we are going through a pandemic, but this restaurant has it all together! Call ahead was well organized. Wait staff was absolutely wonderful. We decided to splurge and ordered the filet mignon. It was so reasonably priced that I wasn't really expecting much. Boy, was I surprised- the best steak I have ever gotten! Everything I ordered was wonderful! My server (Carter) was great and I will certainly request him next time! Next time you are in mood for a great dinner, give Texas Roadhouse a try. This place always seems to be packed so we normally don't stop by. A few days ago the parking lot was not full so we stopped in. We were seated quickly and sat in the bar area so we could take advantage of happy hour. I ordered a happy hour margarita. The margarita was a little small, but very good tasting. We ordered 1/2 slab ribs and house salad on a side ribs was very flavorful, good sauce and seasoning, grilled well. Salad was fresh and taste good. The service was great. Love this location! I also request to sit in a booth bar side as they always have the best servers working there. I visit about once a week due to the fact that I always know their is good service, good food, and great drinks. So why bother going someplace else? My favorite things are the chicken Caesar salad and the 8 ounce sirloin. You truly can't go wrong at this place! The ribs and prime rib are always flavorful. And those rolls... yum. This past weekend, it was especially great with the one waiter who really did great at serving us! He made it a point to repeat our order to ensure he got it right and he was very polite and prompt! I honestly have to say, I was pretty surprised by Texas Roadhouse. First, Happy Hour. It's 2.99 drafts and 3.25 margaritas. They have several to choose from and you can add various shots to them. I thought it was a good value considering they were tasty. Next, the service. Our server was really nice and really on her game even though it was a complete nut house in there. We got there around 5:15 got 1 of the last tables in the entire place. When we left, the lobby was overflowing. Now, the food. I was satisfied with my meal and everyone else was too mostly. One person in our party ordered a filet but it obviously wasn't. Or, the quality was just really bad. I got a sirloin but it almost resembled a filet. Our theory is that they accidentally switched our steaks (even though they were separate bills, different temps, different toppings and different sides) but the quality isn't great on their meat so it was hard to call either a filet. There was a discernible difference though so I'm guessing that is what they did. So basically, you probably have to order a filet to get something that resembles a nice sirloin..if that even makes sense. Still, I thought it was kind of fun in there (even though country music isn't my thing) and the happy hour made it more than worth it. read more

I have been visiting this place infrequently since it opened. Early on, it was a well-oiled machine. Food cooked/prepared properly, served promptly, and an overall customer service experience. The past two visits in the last three months have been way short of what I would call even a mediocre experience. Tonight was just bad and it wasn't my bartenders fault! My visit tonight was a play-by-play of what not to do in the Service industry. I sat at the bar because I was alone. I received a soft drink within a couple of minutes of arriving. The bartender, Michael, was polite (the bartender isn't the problem it's the management of the place) and asks if I'm eating which I reply 'Yes'...I see stacks of dishes nearby and he's trying to pump out drinks for the wait staff...I'm provided my complimentary bread/butter combo and then sit for the next 15 minutes waiting for a menu to arrive. There were several opportunities where he could have engaged me but he was trying to manage wait staff who couldn't explain what drinks their customers were ordering. With no menu and Michael (who has been bussing his dishes, clearing other checks at the bar, managing clearly undertrained wait staff, and making drinks for other customers based on near inept instructions from servers) must realize that I'm getting impatient decided to politely ask me what am I eating??? I was on the verge of leaving the a couple bucks on the bar to pay for my soft drink and roll out without eating. Thankfully, I have a filter, manners, and recognized Michael was overwhelmed...I was polite and said "No idea, I haven't seen a menu." I order something simple chili w/o onions (salmonella scare) and potato skins. So, the chili had red onions and the potato skins seems fine...I was able to scrape most of the onions off the chili and dug in...A hair warmer than luke warm would be a nice temperature assessment. Still it wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. The potato skins were clearly microwaved to melt the cheese (that gross greasy film when you microwave cheese was floating on top) as opposed to baking the plate. I was able to stomach about 2/3 of the chili and 1/3 of the potato skins before my body said no more. Paid my bill and left a tip (more than I should have but I recognize the bartender isn't cooking/preparing the food, and was sincerely apologetic for not getting me a menu in a prompt manner). This place needs help and badly...The busboy was nowhere to be found, the waitstaff couldn't describe martini ingredients (a little off-putting). If Michael wasn't a sincere guy, I would have had a much worse night. Good luck dude, you're going to need it read more

I'll keep it simple: My loaded baked potato came without being loaded, my daughter's mashed potatoes came as a baked potato, and my husband's fries came not at all. My husband, son, and I have eaten here a couple of times, and the food and service has always been really good. On this visit, we were seated quickly, and our waitress "Abigail" was super friendly and fast! This Texas Roadhouse is always on point, even when it's a peak business hour. My burger was delicious and French fries were tasty. I will say that although the chili was really good, I was a bit disappointed it wasn't "warm" enough. It wasn't worth the hassle of having them heat it up though. I asked for a side of the horseradish sauce, for my condiments (lettuce, tomatoes, and onions) to be placed on the side, and lemons for my tea, and Abigail quickly accommodated. Also, she kept our table clear removing plates and cups that we didn't need as she passed by our table. That's good service, and she did it with a nice demeanor and smile! Overall, I can't complain. I ordered the half chicken roast and after about 20 minutes they told me they ran out. Disappointing and my co-worker got the salmon and potato which clearly the salmon was much smaller. Worst experience at a Texas Roadhouse ever! They have really gone downhill. First they sat five people at a table that was meant for four people at the most. They gave us regular butter, the rolls were not cooked all the way. It took about 15 minutes for someone to even come to the table. We had to get our own silverware. The wrong table was written down for the appetizer and the lady did not no where to take it. When she brought the fry's out she basically threw them on the table. Service was bad waitress did not come and make sure everything was ok. My Grandson and I went around 4:00pm we got a table and the waitress took very good care of getting my grandson order, but did not pay attention to my order. We were talking about sides she did not bother to ask me about my steak order or anything else. She took her time to make sure my grandson order was perfect, he is a teenager I am the paying customer. After I realized I just order my sides and not the steak it took be 10 min to pull he aside to tell her she did not take my steak order. She told me she thought I just wanted sides. I said no I did not. When I gave her my steak order it was no what I ordered she was not around for me to tell her it was over, and I had to complain to the manager to take the steak off my bill and I took the sides home to cook a steak myself with their sides. We went here for the first time maybe a week ago. My dad used to eat here a lot and he'd tell me I have to check it out. Now that I live in Frederick I'm glad I did since it was very very good and I plan to go back many times! I had a steak with a mountain of mushrooms and onions, and my gf had the shrimp skewers. Both were very good but the sides were also very good. Steak was cooked to perfection. The warm bread with honey butter to start off was so good. The server was great and very hospitable. Supper on 6/17 My wife had ribeye and I had the strip sirloin We both had salads and steamed vegetables as our side orders. Loud crowded slow service the waitress disappeared more than once. Had to ask for refills for drinks. Salad was no more than lettuce and diced unripe tomatoes. Had to request onion for salad which also was diced?! Diced onions on salad? Really? Anyway the steamed vegetables apparently never made it into the post as they were raw. Very disappointed $60 for the experience and a lesson learned stay away. read more

By the time we got home we saw 1. I asked for a loaded baked potato and yes, PAID THE EXTRA FOR IT just to see cold mash potatoes in a cup. 2. My girlfriends steak wasn't cooked correctly and I asked for medium and get well done. Still decided to tip the waitress because she was nice but why couldn't anyone check to even see if the order was right? This is probably the best service I've had since coming here. It's a Wednesday so it wasn't super crowded so we were seated immediately (party of 3). The waitress was the best I've had. She was friendly, we saw her often and she was VERY honest which we all loved. I was going to order the 6oz sirloin but the waitress informed us that the 8oz was on special and it was a few bucks less. We asked for more rolls and they brought them pretty quickly. I ordered the raspberry margarita which tasted more like juice than a margarita but still good. The service overall great.
