Visited Texas Roadhouse recently for my birthday, and there were definitely some highs and lows. The bread is absolutely to die for, and the peanuts are always a fun touch. We shared the boneless buffalo wings to start, and then we ordered two medium ribeyes and a pulled-pork platter. Unfortunately, both steaks came out well-done instead of medium, so we had to send them back. I'm really glad they were willing to redo them, but for a place that specializes in steaks, you'd hope they'd get that part spot-on the first time. Aside from that hiccup, the service was fantastic, they are super friendly and attentive, which made the experience much better. Absolutely come for the rolls again! Ha! We stopped somewhere for dinner every time we come up to Lake Livingston and since we were approaching dinner time, we decided to get Roadhouse! Love that they have the option to join a waitlist online, which we did and we were seated immediately when we got there. Quinn was our server and he was very intentive, nice and quick with the service. Hard working young man right there! The place is very casual and a family friendly environment. Our experience was outstanding friendly greetings by staff, as well of our hostess Ms. Heather was super friendly, and attentive to all our requests on ordering our food. Her professionalism and mannerism deserves "Kudos" a star and team player working for your location. Was in the mood for a steak without the high price tag attached so we settled for Roadhouse..We went the day before mother's day which was a little busier however it was just the two of us so we only had to wait about 15 to 20 mins to be seated. We order the Porterhouse, onion bomb, and the Texas selection with baked potatoes. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The margaritas was so freaking good. The only downside was the waitress she was wondering around instead of attending to her customers. Great food as always can't beat it, prices on the menu does not disappoint even with todays inflation. i really enjoy either the chicken fried chicken or the chicken fried steak, it never miss on flavor and the the breading is good and tender the Sides are awesome and go well with any dish on the menu, i love there buttered corn, mash & steak fries also the baked potato is good but i prefer is loaded with bacon, cheese, & sour cream. oh yea! the hot yeast rolls with that cinnamon butter is a amazingly delicious and can be addicting we usely get a couple baskets of the bread rolls thats how good they are. The service is great I never had an issue here with that it's always friendly and attentive every time me and the family go. always when i leave i take a few bags of there salted bagged peanuts such a great snack. i know things are not perfect and things happen like long wait times or service can be a miss but this place does get really packed on some nights. I've been to location twice and the main issue is they are not set up for large groups. Just went tonight with a group of 9 people for my daughter's birthday. They tried to squeeze 9 of us into a booth that fit no more then 6 people. We ended up having to be split up. But other than that the service is good. The food is good and prices are fair. If you are a smaller group then you shouldn't have any issue. Larger groups I would look elsewhere. read more

I stopped going here several years ago... not sure why. We decided to try it on a whim. It was very well priced, a super value for the food. The salad was excellent. The meat was well cooked. For anyone looking for Halal options: avoid the baked potatoes (both regular and sweet) because they're made with pork grease, but the mashed potatoes are fine. They must have a policy that prevents them from seating everyone due to staffing constraints, but it's honestly ridiculous that customers would have to wait for over 40 minutes. I've been to this location several times in the past, but after my experience yesterday, I'm incredibly disappointed with the way me and my family were treated. I had called ahead to ask about bringing in a large party (we originally had 20 people). I was told they don't take reservations or waitlist parties over 10 by phone, but I could come in person an hour or so before and get on the waitlist that way. The person on the phone even assured me that I didn't have to wait there the whole time because they'd have my phone number and could text me when our table was ready. That seemed fair, so I came in around 5:30, like they suggested. The moment I arrived, I was treated as if I was doing something wrong. The hostess gave me an attitude and made a face when I said it was for 20 people. She went to get a manager, who told me everyone had to be present before we could even be added to the waitlist--completely contradicting what I was told earlier. When I mentioned this, the manager said I had been misinformed and blamed a 16-year-old employee who supposedly gave me the wrong info over the phone. She even said she had already yelled at that employee, which was unnecessary and unprofessional to even mention to a customer. We adjusted the party size to 16, then eventually 14, just to accommodate their rules and get seated. Despite trying to be cooperative, the staff continued to treat us poorly--hostesses were rude, rolling their eyes, and giving us dirty looks for no reason. One of my cousins finally asked why the attitude, reminding them we were paying customers, not trying to eat for free. Once we were finally seated, we had two servers. One of them was kind and professional--we made sure to leave a tip just for her. The other one, though, had a terrible attitude from the start. She barely checked on us, gave short and snappy instructions like she didn't want to deal with us, and then walked off. When we asked the good server if we could leave the tip just for her, she told us that the hostesses and some of the staff don't like big parties because they "always bring problems." That comment honestly summed up our whole experience. It felt like we were being judged and mistreated just because we came as a big group. There was no kindness, no customer service, and absolutely no professionalism from the management. I don't understand why a family trying to eat together is seen as a problem, but that's how they made us feel. We won't be returning to this location again. TASTY! Sat at the bar on this visit and has super fast service. The Long Island Iced Tea is always $5 and is one of my favorites. The complimentary rolls are warm right out of the over and comes with a whipped cinnamon butter. We also enjoyed a bag of the complimentary roasted peanuts. The rattlesnake bites, fried bites of cheese and jalapeños, came with a side of ranch to dip were served piping hot . The grilled pork chop was super moist, seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Caesar salad was ok. It was a little over dressed in my opinion and the croutons were not very crunchy. Their green beans are the BEST! Food was brought before our salads and mine was completely forgotten about so it came when I was almost done with my meal. My friends sons hot dog had a big ol hair in it. I let the waiter know that it is our first time and the manager brought us a sampler of side dishes to try. Everything we tried of the sampler was delicious, but my favorite was the chili. Our family of 3 loved our dinner, I like the ambiance, our waiter was great. We also ordered $5 Long Island iced tea. They were delicious. We can't wait to go back! 6 of us were dining. I added only cheese to my baked potato. They upcharge $1.29 for a "loaded" baked potato. When our $129.00 bill came there was a .79 upcharge for cheese on the potato. I pointed out to our waitress that neither the menu nor she disclosed this minor charge. The manager came and after arguing with me she agreed to remove the charge as it is not disclosed. She then informed me that in the future she would not remove these charges. I told her that I had spent over $250 in a week there and if she was willing to loose a customer over an improper policy there are many other restaurants willing to take my $. If a restaurant discloses charges to the customer when ordering or on their menu the customer has the option to choose but when they add undisclosed charges it is just sneaky. read more
