There was a time when the TRH music was playing overhead and a team of waitresses started line dancing. Very people friendly environment. Everyone was working, smiling and happy. So glad to have this place in LS! Very good steak at affordable price. Have been 3 times. March 7, I was surprised @ the line @ 7:30 on a Thurs night but didn't have to wait too long. Although, another time I went online & got on waitlist. FYI the place is usually pretty loud. Piping hot, fresh, soft rolls. Loaded sweet potato - there was some kind of caramel sauce under the toasted marshmallows - so good, & my 6 oz filet was perfectly cooked medium - so juicy & tender. I ate all my salad & couldn't finish my steak & potato, so took great leftovers, including a roll, for work lunch the next day. Messed up my husband's potato order but fixed it right away. Not a fan that his gravy was an upcharge. I get they are pushing the add-ons like "loaded," but another time we went, I ordered loaded mashed potatoes (understood there was upcharge) but the amount of toppings was skimpy, so won't do that again. First time eating at this place and decided to try curbside delivery. We ordered two American classic burgers, one well done, the other medium. The packaging was just weird with soggy steak fries and hamburger patty in one container, bun with damp lettuce, tomato, and onion in another. No condiments were included, not even a napkin. The online order form asked for names for the individual orders so of course I assumed that is how we would recognize which was well done and which was medium. Well, you know what they say about assuming. Nope, no names. It was someone's brilliant idea to use M for medium and W for well done, each looking much like the other. You can imagine how well that worked. As it turned out, it really didn't matter as they were both well done. After eating these burgers, neither one of us could find one thing to recommend ordering take out, certainly not for the food, which was just okay. From other reviews, it seems dining in is an altogether different and pleasant experience, but one we will forego in the foreseeable future. Edit: I did want to also express my appreciation for all the employees there who are still working and doing their best in these tough times. Did a curb side to go pickup order. Got home and realized they forgot to put the steaks in the bag. The one thing we practically went for. Called to let them know I didn't have any steaks. Talking to some guy on the phone who said "this guy is full of shit" word for word. while he forgot to put me on hold. Like I want to waste my time calling because you can't put together a full order properly. Rudest customer service ever. read more

The service and the food have both been great. If you can, sit in Noah's section; he's a great server. Very personable and attentive, but not annoying! I didn't give them five stars because of the experiences we've had with the hostess area. We've used the app to get on the wait list, and we've also just walked in and waited. Every time, and yes, I mean every time, busy or not, they never greet us. There are normally two hostesses and one person to grab the rolls and seat us. When we walk up to their station, they're talking to each other, glance our way, continue to talk to each other and THEN acknowledge us. They act like they couldn't care less if we're there or not. One of them looks over at the third person who'll be seating us but they never, and yes, I mean never let us know we need to follow her/him to our table; she/he stands there with the rolls, staring at us until I ask if we're supposed to follow. Once we're seated, everything is good, but the next time we go, if we have the same experience with the hostesses, we won't be back. We'll drive to Belton or Blue Springs and cross our fingers that Noah is there! read more

Texas Roadhouse in general used to be good! Nowadays it's really gone downhill. I feel like they are a couple years away from being cafeteria style. Tonight they overcooked all the meat, like to death. Why ask your customers how they want it cooked if you're just going to cook them all in mass well done. All of the sides with the exception of the baked potatoes are all instant or from a can or jar and they come in cafeteria style bowls. Feel like I should just grab a tray and go through the line! The plates come sloppy and messy. You can tell they are mass producing and throwing crap on plates. We definitely will not be back. I would prefer to go spend my hundred bucks someplace a little more refined! read more

Seated in an area where bench was covered with peanut shells. Asked person seating us to clean bench. She stated she would get someone. 5 minutes later, we approached another person and she got right on it and was appalled that we were seated under those conditions. After sitting we realized that under the table among the mass amount of shells, there were 4 forks and a menu. My son-in-law went into the bathroom and the man cleaning tables that had the bottles and towels from belt took the towel (that he was cleaning the tables with) picked it off his belt and wiped the urinal with it. Attached it back to belt and went back to the floor. This is poor management, supervision and is definitely unacceptable. read more

Well, it started with the drinks. Ordered a Coke with no ice. Repeated it a second time. Waitress repeated Coke as she was walking away, but didn't repeat no ice. So, the Coke showed up with ice. Then ordered potato skins as an appetizer. They weren't completely bad. They were only really warm, not hot. The bacon that was on there was cooked, but it might have been overcooked. The bacon was more rubber than it was crispy, pretty hard to chew. Ordered a steak well done with mashed potatoes and corn, and buffalo wings. Waited a while for the food to come out, longer than what I've waited at most other places. When food was delivered, it was the wrong food. They brought out steak and shrimp with a side of mashed potatoes and some buffalo wings with sauce on the side. Informed them that wasn't what was ordered and within 2 minutes the food that was ordered came out......kind of. It was the steak and mashed potatoes (no corn) and buffalo wings with the side of sauce again. Was told that the buffalo wings weren't rolled in the sauce (like they are at every other place I've been to) but that they can be dipped in the sauce. Plus the food was cold. Pretty sure it was the same food that was brought out previously minus the shrimp. The steak was actually cooked as ordered and the mashed potatoes weren't bad, just cold. The buffalo wings though were not eaten as they were just something resembling buffalo wings. They were more like soggy chicken nuggets. the breading was really soggy and the chicken had a texture of a marshmallow, not to mention it didn't taste like chicken at all. Thankfully the buffalo wings were removed from the ticket. Also, the whole time drink refills were brought out with ice. The waitress was friendly, when she actually stopped to talk. A lot of the time she was talking as she was walking by, it was pretty hard to understand what she was saying, especially with the music playing. There were numerous times that the staff stopped , started clapping, and then started dancing in the walkways when certain songs started playing. This was pretty annoying as it made it difficult for people to be able to move about. Whether they were going to the restroom, trying to be seated, trying to leave, whatever, they had to wait or walk completely around the line dancing staff. Maybe focus needs to be on the customers instead of line dancing so that the wrong food or missing food or cold food isn't delivered. Who knows how long the food sits getting cold while the staff line dances. Will not be going back there. But to end on a positive note, the rolls are awesome and the peanuts are pretty good. read more

I have been to Texas Roadhouse many times, in fact it is one of my favorites, my friends and I drove an hour just to eat here. We always receive quality service and food, however this experience was different. Our waitress was very nice, and took our drink orders right away. We had a basket of rolls that were burnt and not warm. I ordered a Med rare filet, which came out nearly medium well, along with my friends steak that was "medium" but was also med well. She ordered Mac and cheese and a loaded sweet potato, the Mac and cheese was an extra dollar, though the Mac and cheese had crunchy noodles and was cold. The sweet potato was also an extra dollar to load, the potato came out with a measly four miniature marshmallows which were completely burnt. I wanted to speak with a manager because she had only come by as soon as the food was being set down. However she was nowhere to be found as well as the waitress. We waited for a while, so we decided to just pay and leave. I understand that this is a new establishment, hopefully they fix these issues because Texas Roadhouse is still one of my favorites, but maybe not this location. read more
