We visited this restaurant for dinner on Father's Day. As expected, it was very busy, but our quoted wait time of one hour was about half that. We have kids so we were put on the baby room as I like to call it. I'm not a fan of peanut shells on the floor as it lends an air of uncleanliness. Absolutely horrible service, the manager Lynn might be the worst excuse for management I have ever encountered. If you want staff to push you out of the way, while the manager looks on silently, & only after waiting double what was quoted on time, not receiving all my food, she decides I can "look it up myself" when asked to speak with a higher manager. Well I love Texas Roadhouse but this one really let me down. Been there several times and the service at the bar was mediocre at best. The bar tendars seem to be more chit chat with each other oriented than customer oriented. They take there time greeting you but are nice when they do. This night got me though. Kinda felt ignored but they were busy but not busy enough to cut up. Took my order but didnt offer or bring bread as usual. after two drinks my salad finally came out but with my entree. That is a bid pet peeve of mind. I sent the salad back. No silver wear and couldnt get the bartendars attention, she was too busy cleaning bar mats. I think it was the manager saw me looking around that realized what I needed and brought it to me. Then I realized she got my order wrong but I just ate it. After I was done she asked how things were and I told her. She apologized but never offered to take the salad off my check or discount it because I didnt get what I ordered. Food was ok but not as good as what I am used to getting at Texas Roadhouse locations I have visited. Maybe next time, if I go back, I will sit at a table. read more

I travel all over the US and this Texas roadhouse is the worst I have ever seen. They have cooks that goes outside come back in without washing hands then go back out again. He did this off and on the whole time I was there. It took 35 min for 1 pork chop dinner and it was not busy. They had a lot of employees playing fooling around and not taking care of things. 2 girls were were flirting and going in the cook area touching the cook and going in out side also. My chop was served cold and bloody and the Manger look like she did not care. She asked if I wanted something else I said no I want my pork chop the way I always get it. It looks like the thrugs of memphis is taking it over. When we left there was a car that was park in the middle of the parking lot it seemed to look like a dealer waiting for someone to come out get some drugs or something. His windows was in the dark dark tint where u can't see in. Maybe memphis police dept. Needs to ck it out I will never go back to this location ever again and I did call corp. read more

Recently moved to Memphis, I had dinner here for the first time tonight, our steaks were cooked to perfection! Everything we ordered was excellent! I went their for Father's Day and the wait was not long given our party size was small. We asked for a high chair for my 8 month son and our waiter told us we could not have one because we were at a booth and the high chair would block the walk way we asked for another seat that could accommodate us and they told us we would have to be added to the waiting list. At this time the wait was long so the waiter stated she could give us a boaster seat we agreed and she brought us one. After we got situated we noticed that the people sitting next to us had a high chair and the people across from us had a high chair I asked how this was possible and our waiter said they were not suppose to do that and she told the manger and the manger allowed them to keep the high chair at this time we were upset because our son kept sliding out the boaster seat because it was to big! Is it possible to give a restaurant zero stars? We have eaten at Texas Roadhouse for years. It's always been one of our favorite chains, consistently high quality food with great service. We were here just last week and, as usual, it was fabulous. Tonight we came for my husband's birthday. Call ahead seating was fine. The servers was gracious and happy and greeted us and took our order and delivered our salads promptly. My son was quiet and tired and kept his head in my lap. She was even inquisitive and happy about that. The entrees took a ridiculously long time. When they were delivered, they were cold. After we alerted our server to the problem, she returned both to the kitchen. They were delivered again only a tad bit warmer and now rubbery from being microwaved or over cooked because the steaks had been cooked to the ordered temperature the first time! We requested to see manager. The server asked her to come no less than 3 times. She only came after almost 15 minutes, when my husband finally emphatically and somewhat rudely told a passing hostess to send the manager NOW. She wouldn't even stand straight and have a normal conversation. She was bent over like a humiliated 5 year old. She actually asked if we wanted her to reheat the meals! After we told her no, we're done. She said she would tell our server to come clean up the table and she could comp the meal (the meal that was never suitable for eating) and "be right back". She did come back with two certificates for comped meals at a later date. Whoopee. Not really. Hope no one else has an experience this terrible at this location. read more

It was my birthday and unfortunately I chose to go to Texas Roadhouse. I had never been there before and I thought it was a good place to go. Boy was I wrong. We got there on a Sunday afternoon around 4pm. The place was busy already. My grandmother who is 97 years old and very disabled walking with a walker was with us. We told the guy who sat us we had a party of 5 and we needed a table because my grandmother had trouble getting up and down, the guy took us ALL THE WAY AROUND AND TO THE BACK OF THE RESTARAUNT by the bathrooms. When we finally got to the table, it was a booth for 4. There was no way we were going to all fit in the booth not to mention my 97 year old grandmother. The guy disappeared. My mother went back to the front to ask someone else why we can't have the available table we passed that had a setting of 6. The ladies at the hostess stand stood around looking at each other and said, okay I guess so but give us a minute. By the time we got ready to sit down the original guy who sat us shows up at the very same time we are fixing to sit down with another party of 5 saying this was supposed to be their table. We discussed it for several minutes then we were aloud to sit down and the other party went to a different table. They were not old, disabled or anything. Anyway, our server came and took our drink order while we looked at the menu. When our drinks came we had a different server. We asked what happened to the other girl and we were told she did not want to serve us. Well needless to say, we will not be going back to Texas Roadhouse. My birthday was ruined. I guess I thought this place was a better place. Our server we ended up with was nice but the whole thing started off wrong. They don't care about people with disabilities. Texas Roadhouse has got to be my favorite chain restaurant there is, but this one just really disappointed today. They had multiple issues on my visit today. Typically I can overlook a mistake or 2, it this was comical how bad they messed up over and over again. Ordered their 8oz Sirloin with salad and bake on side. My salad came and I had asked for no tomatoes, the waitress said she had notes that on my order, but they were still there. Then my Medium steak comes out looking like it was maybe seared for about 60 seconds each side. Super rare. I sent it back and when brought back to me it was acceptable, but still not medium. The baked potato was good, and they gave me an extra for the fact that I had to eat the steak and potato separate. But I was already turned off. Y the mess ups. Staff was friendly and everything and very sympathetic to the fact that I was having a bad experience so I gave a couple stars for that. But this place definitely needs so work. At the Texas Roadhouse that I frequent, they always cook the steak to perfection and I've never had a bad experience there in about 25 times there. This place needs new training or new management. This location has frustrated me every time I have made a visit and I definitely won't be back after tonight. My husband and I walked in behind a party of 5 or 6 and waited for them to coordinate a table with the hostesses (3 at the stand). One of them greeted us, looked directly at me, asked how many, and said to follow him. There was a huge crowd around the door, and in the shuffle a couple of people walked in front of us and followed him to the table we were supposed to go to. The host was completely confused, offered no explanation and left us standing there in the middle of the restaurant. We walked back to the front and commented that we were frustrated at the confusion and another hostess actually rolled her eyes at me. This seriously would not be a big deal, but this is the second time I've had hostesses here act this way towards me. Honestly, the place is loud and you shouldn't try and run off people being rude from the beginning. I am a customer service manager and I would fire people for rolling their eyes at a customer and not trying to remedy someone being upset. Last chance for this location. read more

Funny that a restaurant opens at 5pm and immediately has a meeting of most of the servers that lasts 15-20 minutes. Some servers working. Enough staff NOT in the meeting that they can text on their phones. Overall NOT impressed. And THEN we are finally seated. Music WAY too loud. And their dancing song comes on right after we place our order. And what would OUR server do? Head over to start dancing BEFORE placing our order. I have not had a decent steak here yet. They are always cooked perfectly they just have no flavor what so ever. The other dishes are fine, not amazing, but fine. I have ordered online numerous times with no problems, however, tonight was a different story. 1. When I arrived, 3 people were standing by the take out register and not one of them acknowledged me. They just kept looking at me until I said "Excuse me, I'm here to pick up a to go order." Only then did one of the young ladies go get the cashier for the take out orders. 2. I Ordered 5 meals. Every meal always got 4 pieces of bread, no questions asked. The cashier, only gave me 4 pieces, when I inquired about the rest of the bread she said she'll have to ask the manager because she was not aware she was allowed to give more bread based on the amount of meals in one order. The cashier was very apologetic and gave me a heads up that the man making the bread and the manager were both "moody" today and have been rude all night to both staff and customers. When the manager finally came, he said one basket per order. How are 5 people going to share 4 pieces of bread? Well the manager couldn't careless and said no one should have been giving my family 4 breads per meal if it was in the same online order. 3. They didn't give me all the salads I ordered and wanted me to come back and pick up the salad they didn't give me. I'm sorry, are they going to pay for my gas? I don't think so. On top of all that, the salads they did give us had like two bites worth of food in the containers. Never have I ever I had issues at this location before. We always got the right amount of food and the service was great. The cashier tonight was great and tried her best, but her manager needs to reevaluate his attitude before coming to work and be professional when it comes to dealing with customers and his staff.
