They had to come back and tell us multiple times that they didn't have the beer we asked for, they didn't have the ingredients to make any of the mixed drinks we tried to get that we asked for before the beer. We never got our appetizers or food after waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes we finally just left. The managers were no help nor did they ever come to us. We finally found one as we were walking out. The steak was returned to the table as a smoldering brick of char that was accompanied by a deep broiled sweet potato. The manager was called over to explain the inedible food and her response was, "I have a kitchen manager that handles the food. Is there anyway I can make this right?" Let me think... Your staff is slow and makes excuses for laziness. You don't control the food preparation. Your server can't tell the difference between a medium rare and burnt steak. As much as I absolutely HATE to write a bad review or send a negative response, I strongly feel that I have to at least voice my concerns. My father turned 84 years old today. Yes, you heard me correctly, 84! So my husband and I took him and my mother out to eat for lunch today, October 6, 2023 at around 12:00 noon. We were all in a fantastic mood because we were celebrating his birthday. So when the server walked up to the table, without even a greeting, he asked what we wanted to drink. My husband spoke up and said, "hey Tony, what's up?" (We saw that on his name tag) Tony began looking up and mumbling "the ceiling". After that, my mother told him that it was my dad's birthday and all Tony said was ok. Then, mom ordered her food and then asked if they have onion rings. Again, Tony mumbled something and said no. So after this very unpleasant interaction, the manager came by to bring our salads so we told her about what happened. She was extremely sweet and said she would have a talk with him after his shift. Well needless to say, we didn't see Tony again until after we were done eating. He never returned to make sure everything was OK. We had to ask other servers to bring extra items needed for our meal. We are beyond furious with his service. Also, we informed the manager when she walked by that mom's food was not hot. Even though the manager was nice, I truly feel that she could have done more to help save this horrible situation by offering to adjust our bill or even bring my dad a scoop of ice cream for his birthday. I ordered a side salad and had to ask another server to find it for me after we waited 45 minutes. The food took over an hour to get to us. It was luke warm and the steak was way undercooked. First off let me say the customer service here was barley up to par. They had us sat down pretty quick. The only issue I would say and this was a big one, out waitress seemed very judgmental in what we were choosing. My girlfriend when asked for what drink she wanted replied with "i"d like the raspberry tea please" with a rely from the waitress "people like strawberry better you should go for that." That is not professional at all. I understand giving advice but her attitude and the way she said it was almost demanding and if we didn't were on her bad list for the night. Consistently good food and great service! Generally it is packed no matter what day you go, however the wait time is never too long. It is noisy, so be prepared for that. I usually get a steak, salad and potato when we go! The rolls are addictive so watch out for that. Hubby likes the 1/2 rack of ribs. I am no stranger to this Texas Roadhouse location. I come here every time I'm in Mobile, and I worked as a server at this TRH store during my college years. The food is usually delicious, but this time, it was meh (note the three stars.) My biggest issues were with my server, though. She wasn't as efficient as she needed to be, and it made our dine-in experience bad. It wasn't her first shift, she had a name tag that said she'd been there for at least a year. She took a really long time taking our orders. I'd say that we waited about 25 minutes for her to take our order. I'm sure she took an extra 10 minutes to put our orders in after she took our orders. The store was very busy, but she wasn't working. She was walking around, talking to people at the bar, standing in the door of the kitchen and playing with her hair. It's not like she was running food to other tables or bringing drinks out to other people, she was literally doing nothing. Our glasses were kind of empty, but the other tables in her section definitely had empty glasses. We got our salads before we got silverware which is sad because it took 15-20 minutes to get our salads. She didn't even immediately get our silverware after we asked for it. We had to wait an extra 10 minutes before she brought our silverware. This may have been an issue with the kitchen, but when we did get our salads, the orders were slightly wrong like wrong dressing and missing toppings. We were told that they ran out of croutons. (They make the croutons in house. I worked at Texas Roadhouse for three years, and that never happened on one of my shifts.) The salads were thrown together. While we were eating our salads, another girl with a tray full of margarita glasses and salad bowls DROPPED THE TRAY RIGHT NEXT TO ME. I did get hit with with something, but I felt sorry for the girl and asked her if she was okay. My shirt got a little wet, but I wasn't hurt. The ribeye was good and cooked to a perfect medium. They definitely got the the temperature right, but maybe there could've been a little more seasoning. The marble in the ribeyes give it a great flavor, but you still have to season the steak. For the first time ever in the history of me eating at Texas Roadhouse, I could've used a little steak sauce to help my steak out a bit. (Had I asked for steak sauce, it would've taken all night to get there.) There was a little char on my steak. They overheated my loaded fries. The cheese was slightly burnt and tough. I'm not over exaggerating about how long we had to wait for our server lady to serve us and bring our silverware, etcetera. We were sat at the table at 7:33 PM, we didn't leave our table until like 9:13 PM. The bread was super soft and fresh, though. I'd never complain about that bread, for real. We usually go to Briquettes or Outback but decided to change it up and visit Texas Roadhouse. After ordering a medium bone in ribeye and a salmon dinner we waited roughly 45 minutes for our food. I was shocked the server would bring a steak that was so burnt the bone was actually charred. I understand the server cannot gauge what it looks like inside until the person cuts into it, but you could very clearly see this steak was overcooked based on the outside alone. We were told the kitchen could cook a new steak... but when we decided to grab a bite to eat, it was intended for us to eat together. I did not want to eat alone while he waited and then turn around and wait as he ate alone... so we just dealt with it. We rarely have issues when dining out and if we do, it's usually handled in such a fashion that it does not affect my opinion of the establishment. This is probably the one location of the chain where I've had a sub-par steak. Don't get me wrong here, I don't expect A5 Wagyu. I do however expect a decent steak. The bartender was very good and attentive. I believe her name was Mikayla. (Unsure of the spelling). I've resorted to sitting at the bar most of the time partially because I'm usually flying solo, and partially because most bartenders are way more attentive than the servers. My salad was good, I ordered without croutons or cheese. The steamed veggies were overcooked for my taste. My filet just wasn't good. I can't quite put my finger on a particular reason. It just wasn't good at all. I will most likely give them another chance. Maybe the crew was having a bad night. They refilled our drinks and kept checking on us. However, our food did not arrive until almost 2 hours later! Good thing they give you bread. Took my parent to TRH here in Mobile to celebrate their 41st wedding anniversary and it was good. It's no secret that when you want a good piece of steak and don't want to break bank TRH is always a good option the food was ok here. The reason I've decided to give them 3 stars it's basically for attention to detail. I went here on 9/30/20....my waitress was nice and attentive at first...thrn after waiting almost 40 mins for our food I realized "attentive" she was not. After catching my pissed off gaze, her and another server brought food that was lukewarm and dry as as a desert...i told her that this was not acceptable...she then took our plates to make us fresh food, we were also told that a manager would bring it to us...a manager came to the table sat our plates in front of us and told us to "cut the steak"...nothing else but that...i became even more upset by her negative attitude...we explained this to our server and another manger was sent but all he did was make excuses for the other "manager"'s behavior...he apologized but also again stated that she had jus had a bad interaction with another table. I dont care. We didn't do anything wrong but yet this is all we had to endure for jus a decent meal. We weren't offered a comp, reduction, or anything for sitting this long for subpar treatment. I come to this restaurant alot, I have never been treated like this. I have always been pleased in the past.. My tickets are almost always at least $100. The restaurant was hot and when we asked if the temperature could be adjusted, we were told that this has been an issue for three weeks and the manager is aware. However, she would notify management again since we are not the only customers to bring up this concern. We asked for salt and pepper since it was not on the table due to Covid restrictions, and we were given salt packs (which was fine). But the pepper was loose in a sauce cup with the salt packs placed on top of the loose pepper. read more
