We came in for dinner as usual on Sunday night, 11/17/24 around 7:40pm. Sat at the bar and Aubrey took great care of us as always. I had chicken critters with ranch and bbq, house side salad - no eggs, ranch dressing and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. One of my favorite things about the bbq at Texas Roadhouse when it's served with the chicken critters is that it's warm! Makes the bbq that much better. He had the bbq chicken and sirloin - a favorite for him. For sides he had a side Caesar salad and a loaded baked potato. Listen, chain restaurants are what they are. They are consistent, you know what to expect. Texas Roadhouse is our favorite in the area. We come here almost every Sunday for dinner, and sit at the bar. The service is always great, the food is consistently good and the draft beer is cold. read more

The food was great, service was okay, but it was difficult to hold a conversation because of the noise level. Why they have the music volume turn up so loud is beyond my comprehension. Also, we sat at a table for two which would have been okay if there hadn't been an empty can for peanuts and another object for pill paying (?) that took up a good portion of the table. Arrived and had a brief wait, so we grabbed drinks at the bar due to the waiting area was busy and crowded. While there are no pictures, my partner enjoyed his Raspberry Frozen Margarita and I loved the Blackberry Porch Rocker (we both had seconds). The bartender was quick and friendly. When we were notified our table was ready, there was a brief confusion when we arrived, so we had another short wait. There were approximately 5 hosts at the stand at different moments of time, but all seemed a bit confused. Also, during this wait near the host stand, I noticed their steak "showcase" was incredibly empty (there were 4 steaks in it), which seemed odd. I'm sure it was a busy night, but it seems like keeping the showcase full would be a priority since you're supposed to be able to select your own steak. Appetizers and bread came out quickly. We were impressed by the sauces for the Onion Cactus. When the meal came, the burger was HUGE. I was so impressed. However, the Herb Crusted Chicken was quite small. We ordered the green beans that were underwhelming and had a ton of onions in them, and broccoli. The broccoli was fresh and cooked perfectly, but the green beans appeared soggy and canned. The easy pay system at your table allows you to pay as soon as you're ready and choose your receipt option. We enjoyed that. Also, our server, Abbigall was excellent! Overall experience was not good. Seated right away, but went downhill from there. Extensive wait for the wait staff. Had to go find our waitress just to give our order only to find a group of 6 of them standing at the front stand chatting. Finally got to order, however the steaks were over cooked. Asked for medium rare and they came out well done. Additionally, watched 6 more wait staff sitting at a table in the middle of the restaurant just chatting for a long period of time instead of taking care of customers. Also used the restroom and wow, what a mess. Garbage all over the floor with the garbage can overflowing. No sign of a Manager anywhere.... Would not recommend. read more

This Texas road house is superior to the others. We sat at the bar and the bartender was hustling and working so hard, yet was still very attentive. It was very busy, but not uncomfortable or too loud. We waited 45 mins for a "special " table because we had a 91 year old member with a wheelchair. We were given a huge booth in the corner. It was a NIGHTMARE to get him out of his wheelchair and "slide" into the booth. If you need ADA seating DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Bathroom's were filthy and floors were very slippery with paper everywhere. Imagine being disabled and trying to use the bathroom like that like we experienced. What an excellent example of what Texas Roadhouse should be. Sort of felt like one of those proof-of-concept stores tightly run on corporate oversight. As a group, this crew's serious about what they do and the product they put out. Noticeably so. And I know my Texas Roadhouse. Back when y'all first moved into Florida, we'd drive hours just to see you. So I know a thing or two about Texas Roadhouse and unfairly my expectations are high. This one's Awesome. My husband and I went to the Texas Roadhouse today 9/14/24 for our birthday. We both got the 1/2 slab of ribs. I was not impressed with my rib, I think it was over cooked. it was black charred on outside and crunch, it was also dry. I only at two ribs and took home for my husband to have later. This is a steak house, right? We've been here several times and for some odd reason, they absolutely cannot cook a decent steak! The last 3 times we've been here my Wife ordered an 8oz Fillet medium rare. This time it came back well done. Sent it back for re-fire. The second one came back mooing on the plate! Seriously? A damned steak house and they can't get a Fillet correct? So I sat there and basically ate alone. By the time the second steak had come out I was of course done eating (the restaurant was absolutely NOT busy, still took almost 25 minutes to send out a raw steak). This used to be our go to for steaks. But after 3 bad steaks I just have to think maybe they should stick to potatoes and burgers. We are SO DISAPPOINTED and PISSED OFF! Remember the smells of youth when you went to a Ponderosa Steakhouse ... it's distinctly and the smells and tastes bring back memories. Texas Roadhouse is that kind of place , the kids are welcome , throw peanut shells around and know what you'll get which is a consistent cooked steak , great sides and rolls and attentive service. You cant do fine dining every time out and this fills a place when you want a steak and don't want to fire up the grill. The marinade for the meat brings back that smell and memory of a bygone time . read more

I never leave reviews but absolutely had to on this place. Those leaving good reviews, especially on the steaks, have to be friends and family. The cooks do not know how to cook a steak. Every time we go there, which is more times than I can count, our steaks are wrong. If someone orders a medium well because when they ordered a medium the last time, their steak was still breathing, they get a hockey puck instead. And when it was sent back, the server returned with another hockey puck. I order a medium steak, i ended up with a steak that was still breathing and when i sent it back, the server returned with the same steak as if they never put it back on the grill. The server could clearly see it wasn't better because it was still cut and she still chose to bring it out to me and ask if it's better. There was still blood on the plate. This was an issue every visit. I even traded my steak with another at the table a few times because mine was under cooked while hers was over cooked and judging by past experiences, we figured that would be easier. We only kept going back thinking it has to be a fluke and at some point they're going to get our steaks right. Not once has that happened so we will not be returning to this location again. Last time we went there was the last straw. We sent a medium well back because it was a hockey puck and the manager returned with another hockey puck knowing it was supposed to be a medium well and had the audacity to ask if it was better when she could clearly see it wasn't. Then when we said no, she didn't even offer to take it off the bill. Another thing, we've gotten a burnt onion blossom before as well so the servers aren't being trained that well either because they are not supposed to bring out food that is obviously wrong. By far the WORST experience we have ever had in a restaurant. Manager wasn't very helpful. All apps came out with dinner, And waitress after dropping my dinner in the garbage never came back to our table at all.. had to get my own to go boxes and walk up front to have someone print our bill so we could leave.. "they said she had a meltdown from dropping my dinner" no birthday cheer for my son which is why we chose this place. Managers "resolution" was -$10 from the bill.. she should have been to our table once my meal was dropped into the garbage to reassure us problem is being fixed. Poor management read more

It seems this place can never get any orders right. Even when I go in person, they still mess up my order. When I went in person a few weeks ago, I got the chicken critter salad minus egg and bacon... the waitress repeated the order back to me, but my salad still came with egg. I didn't complain because it's whatever. It's nothing new that Texas Roadhouse didn't get my order right, but it was a first time not getting it right in person to my recollection. Today, my mom went in to order food to go (did not order online - just went in to get take out). She was told it would be a 20 minute wait. Well a whopping 35 minutes later she gets a bag with someone saying "here's your order". We have had horrendous experiences with ordering to go from Texas Roadhouse, so we know better than to trust that everything is in the bag - good thing because the chicken critter salad was completely MISSING. My mom goes back inside with the bag and receipt saying she didn't get the salad we ordered. The hostesses seemed to be coming up with every excuse in the book about how her order wasn't in the computer system even though my mom had the receipt with the date and time the food was ordered... again, at this rate now 40 minutes ago. Everyone seemed so befuddled by my mom's order, when it was genuinely just a pulled pork sandwich with a side salad (which we never got) and a chicken critter salad minus tomatoes (which we almost didn't get if we wouldn't have checked the order in the car before heading home). After about ten more minutes of waiting we finally got the chicken critter salad. Let's see if we remember what the salad was supposed to be: chicken critter salad minus tomatoes, but guess what we discovered when we opened the box at home? Tomatoes. Sure we can pick them off but after a total of 55+ minutes they STILL DIDN'T GET THE ORDER COMPLETELY RIGHT. AND MY MOM TIPPED... just to be disappointed. Oh, and did I mention the side salad of the pulled pork sandwich wasn't even in the bag either? Despicable. Look, I don't work in food service and never have, but I am always very lenient with businesses as I respect those in customer service and food service, and I try to respect everyone and ALWAYS tip, but this specific location has ALWAYS messed up orders for us, whether in person or ordering to go or online. My Suggestion: if you want Texas Roadhouse, go there in person if you're going out to eat, otherwise expect to pick up your food probably with more of a wait than you were told, and you get all the way home just to be disappointed that your entire order isn't in the bag/is incorrect. The amount of times they have not made things correctly or forgotten parts of our to-go orders is beyond what is normally acceptable to the average customer. No amount of compensation could ever equate to the complete and utter disappointment this business location has given me and my family and friends. Absolutely unacceptable. Texas Roadhouse of Muskegon staff: PLEASE DO BETTER. Have one person in charge of putting to-go orders in the bag and have another person check it for quality checking. I get you guys are busy or might be understaffed, but for the love of all that is good, to-go orders matter too. We have been loyal customers for YEARS since this place first opened, and today was just the last straw. A Pulled Pork Sandwich with a Side Salad (which after all of this mess we never even got) and a Chicken Critter Salad Minus Tomatoes should not take 55+ minutes to get right, but you didn't even get it right anyway. A friend of mine and I were kicked out for being "too intoxicated" when we never ordered any drinks yet and had no alcohol in our systems. This is horrible on the employees part to do so. They were incredibly rude about it as well. I've never been more disappointed in an establishment. There were people dining who were clearly more intoxicated than they should have been yet we were kicked out. I've never had something like this happen even when I have been intoxicated at any bar. Overall the employees were horrible and I do not recommend coming to this Texas Roadhouse. I wish I could give it zero stars. read more

Typical Texas Roadhouse but with better wait staff than we are used to. Our server was amazing and we had a good time with her. Two of our meals were sent back due to them being way overcooked and the sides were not correct. Started off being able to shop while waiting for our table, they sent us a text letting us know we could be seated. This is a great option so we weren't sitting around just waiting forever. Our server Ashley did a FANTASTIC job!!! She was nice, upbeat, you could tell she was smiling (even behind the mask) she was attentive, checking on us at all the right times and bringing refills as needed. We stopped here yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the menu. There is a call in number you can call to get placed on their waiting list. Not a reservation, but moving your place up on the wait list. We were placed in a side room where tables were safe distanced apart. Our orders were the 3 piece catfish, so meaty and delicious and a 10oz Prime Rib. It was another winner at our table! We had a salad which was beautiful and full of the makings of a great salad. With this placed packed, long wait list. And a constant flow of diners, it is telling me that you might want to join in , this is an "it" place to consider when eating out. I can't believe the service has gone down that bad. I ordered the same drink I always do never changed it up. It was made wrong so I asked for it to be remade. The front end manager Matt he was still gonna charge me for my drink even if I refused it. Then proceeds to say it's Michigan State law. Him not knowing I've done restaurant and retail management for over 30 years and there is no law preventing the consumer from returning a drink they did not like. Peggy and I dined here on Father's Day. Bobby was our waiter and he was awesome! I opted for the medium rare prime rib, sauteed mushrooms, and a baked potato. Peggy chose the grilled chicken, which was very moist and tasty. The adult beverages were current and cold, thanks to Bobby. I am not usually one to write a review but the service I received during my most recent visit to this Texas Roadhouse was terrible throughout the entire visit. It started off with some rolls that were stale and hard as a rock. Completely inedible. Then there was our waitress. Now, I myself am also a server so I understand that it can sometimes be a little hectic and hard to give each and every table the greatest service, however, I hardly observed my waitress being busy at other tables and instead I saw her laying her head down and talking to the host stand, or wasting time standing in the corner for minutes at a time. She must have visited our table only 3 or 4 times during our entire stay. Every time I asked her for something, she always took way to long to retrieve it for our table (again, she was clearly visible from our table doing absolutely nothing productive) and consistently got our requests wrong. Someone at our table ordered ribs, and when they finally came out they were completely burnt and inedible. We, once more, waited far too long to get the attention of our server and ended up flagging down another one to complain about the dish. I was pretty upset about our treatment at this point, and I did something that is usually out of character for me; that being to ask for a manager. This was by far the worst experience of the night. When I explained to her the horrible service we received from our server, her response was that she was busy with another table of 10 people. I have never felt more insulted by a public establishment in my life. The manager, whose job is to ensure that the customers visiting their establishment feel welcome and cared for, essentially told me that my problems were not important because our server was busy with a bigger table. The cherry on top was that the only compensation I received for this abysmal dinner service was a coupon for a free appetizer the next time I visit the restaurant. Why would I return to a restaurant that clearly didn't value my time and didn't respect me as a paying customer? I am appalled by the service, or lack there of, that I received tonight and I never plan on returning to this restaurant. read more
