Everything is awesome from servers waiting great taste 5 star.So much better than any other Texas Roadhouse ever

For Easter, my family chose to dine out instead of cooking and went to Texas Roadhouse in Newark, Ohio. With a party of 17, my husband and I arrived early to secure seating, only to be told we couldn't be seated until our assigned server arrived--despite the fact that she had quit and was still on the schedule. A woman who appeared to be a manager or assistant manager then told us to move from the bar area (where we were told to wait) to the waiting area in front of the restaurant. When I questioned why we couldn't be seated in the meantime, she became visibly irritated, raised her voice, and made the situation uncomfortable, emphasizing that "It is Easter" and she was giving her employees time with their families. With that and her display, we decided to leave, and as we did, she repeatedly said, "Have a nice day!" in a condescending tone. Fortunately, LongHorn Steakhouse in Heath, OH turned our day around. They welcomed us immediately, and the managing partner, Adrienne Schmitt, went above and beyond--having heard about our experience, she even provided complimentary appetizers. The difference was remarkable. Excellent service, great food, and genuine hospitality. Kudos to LongHorn--we'll be back. Texas Roadhouse in Newark, your management team needs to do better. read more

30 dollar ribeye steak. Too chewy to eat. Full of fat and gristle. I couldn't eat it and now I'm out $31.99. I've had stuff like this happen before, but I keep going back. But never again. I will be a longhorn from now on. read more

We love Texas roadhouse and go to 1 every week. If your from the Phoenix Arizona area you will understand this comment, the TR is the AJ of TR. The food was good as usual but the chili at this place had way too many beans in the chili.....all the other TR and chili have double to triple the meat to beans. The table behind us had kids running around the restaurant and constantly getting on the way of the servers. read more

This is the second time in a week that our steaks were over cooked. Way over cooked. I ordered the Filet Medallions. The steak was over cooked and the rice was cold. (Ordered medium rare) Husband ordered the Steak salad. And ask for the house salad instead of what came with it. Steak was ordered medium rare and it came back well done. And the wrong salad. I asked the waitress what was going on. She said they had some newbies cooking and they've had a lot of over cooked steaks. I'm sorry. But I understand newbies but I don't want to pay for their mistakes. If a cook is messing up that bad, have that person step aside and get someone in there who knows how to cook. Food is always good. But your pickup line is absolutely horrible. We were parked in a parking spot and the pickup line is right behind us and it's just impossible to get out. Your parking lot is already way too busy with the business you guys get. And that pick up line is probably the worst thing you could put there. We had to wait 23 minutes just to get out of are spot so we hit no one. Absolutely horrible idea for this place. And you franchise owners or managers or whatever really hope you review this. read more

Awesome place, great service. Always one of my go to restaurants. Quick, good quality food, great ambiance and very good service. Love the freshly baked bread and sweet fresh soft butter !! Appetizers were yum - Fried Pickles. Tater skins and cactus blossom. Main meal of Salmon Cesar salad was super !!! If you are staying in Courtyard which is just next door to Texas Roadhouse, high possibility of getting this coupon of free appetizer with the main entree at the check-in time. Horrible experience. Courtney the "manager" was particularly rude. We had a coupon that they had honored a month ago from our Tax service. We had received two and tried to use the other one which was refused this time. We were then told we should visit a different restaurant to get this resolved or see our tax service. Good was sub par and my salad came out before the appetizer. Had we known our coupon would not have been honored this time, we would not have ordered it. Courtney also suggested in rather sarcastic tone that we should mention her name. Cactus blossom still had the skin attached to it. We dare not report that to her though since she was unreasonable and nasty. read more

I was in Newark for my son's hockey game and we had a hankering for steak afterwards. This place was hopping! We had to wait but they had it down to a science considering the chaotic waiting area. Our waitress wasn't terribly friendly, but I'm sure she was slammed with tables. The rolls and salads came quickly and were just as expected, but our entrees took at least 30 minutes to come out. I ordered the 6 ounce filet and while it wasn't the choicest cut (I expect a filet to be thick), it was cooked to the requested med rare. The service was excellent. It went fast. The food was amazing. And the ambiance was good.

The service was great. I ordered the 14oz ribeye medium rare and had to send it back twice because it came out well done. The manager and waitress were very apologetic and brought me the bone in ribeye instead. It was fantastic and cooked correctly. If you like a steak more medium well or well done then I would still order the normal ribeye. If you like medium rare or a rare steak then I'd go with the bone in ribeye. It's significantly better and thicker. The fries, salad, ranch, rolls were all great. The waitress and manager made my steak experience a great outcome. I would definitely return. read more

I receive yearly gift cards from work for restaurants and Texas Roadhouse finally came available. Food has been outstanding most of the time. I recommend making it clear to hostess that you want chicken breast because saying chicken results in chicken fingers all the time and I don't like that and it doesn't make sense a adult asking for chicken fingers at a steak house with sirloin or filet. Usual atmosphere is country, dark and moderate loud. I wish I had company as usual on these lonely days. read more

looking forward to having a great meal here but it was anything but. My experience today is by far the worst that I have ever had at any restaurant. The server seemed oblivious to an issues. My husband brushed it off as she was young but she wasn't blind. I ordered prime rib medium rare and received a well done end cut and al dente broccoli. Good, attentive service and clean etc. but you know Im a foodie of sorts. so first thought how can the prices be so reasonable? Ah I noted the lighted signs throughout tout 'choice' rather than 'prime.' well friends make of me what you will but the slightly undercooked 'choice' 'ny' 'strip' I got is not really what I'm after. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of steaks and prime rib. Flavorful but a little on the salty side. Server was fun and did a great job. Hot buns are stupid good with the cinnamon butter so control yourself so you don't fill up before your meal. read more

We both ordered the filet (steak)salad that comes with lettuce, bacon, red onion, tomato, croutons, blu cheese and Italian on the side. The filet was cooked medium. This was a flavorful salad! The blue cheese crumbles added a bite to it? And the bacon bits were thick and crisp. A winner all around. read more

Took the family out on 12/28 for a Holiday Dinner - big deal for us. Decided to go early because we have only a few decent restaurants and they get very busy. On arrival at 430 we were surprised to see there was already a waiting list of about 20 minutes - no big deal but will recommend that you do call ahead - they apparently have a remote check-in so you can wait while you drive in. Once we were inside I was shocked to see how many people they crammed into that restaurant. It was so bad that I looked for fire exits and planned an escape in case anything happened, which for my family, based on where we were seated, would have been going out a window because an attempt to reach a door would have resulted in our death. It was so tight that waitresses and customers had to take turns using the aisle to get in or out of the area we were in behind the hostess table. They also had a waitress station in that aisle - not a lot of sense in that... I ordered a thick cut 8 ounce NY Strip that was about 1/2 inch thick and barely recognizable as a NY strip. Don't fall for the "Thick Cut" BS. The steak was overcooked, I ordered medium rare, and kind of gristly. I would not order that item again. My son had a rare 11 inch Sirloin - that was cooked correctly and he enjoyed. The baked potato was good - we liked the skin treatment. The salad was good. The buttered corn was horrible - lay off the pepper for God's sake - not sure who's taste said that was good but they are wrong - it was terrible. Call it peppered corn or something - it was a disappointment and we left it uneaten. The green beans were good but very watery to the point where they tasted watered down. By the way - $3.19 for a cup of coffee feels ridiculously high but we don't eat out a lot so maybe that's normal for a cup of black coffee... Overall, the value was just not there for us - out the door for 3 at around $75 bucks - will not return. read more

The line to get in is long but the steaks are worth the wait. I added grilled shrimp and it was delicious. I recommend the Caesar salad and sweet potato as sides. Greg's fries were over cooked (hard). And who doesn't live the tolls and cinnamon butter here. Yum! read more

We eat at this location about once a month or so. I've never had a bad meal or experience. Steaks are always spot on, salads nice and chilled and the bread, well that's just divine. We typically sit at the bar and Heather is excellent. read more

Was in the area visiting from Chicago and decided to stop in with my family. We were able to put our name on the "virtual" wait list, we waited about 15 minutes and our Table was ready. We were seated, ordered drinks and a appetizer. Our server bought out bread (cold bread) and butter. Our appetizer was the blooming onion, it arrived hot and fresh. For entrees we had chicken tenders, a burger and a pulled pork dinner. Our food was average but whatever you do, DONT ORDER THE PULLED PORK it just wasn't good. On a Friday night, call ahead seating at 430 for a 7p dinner, everyone there at 630 and it's still a 60-70 min wait? And then we waited an additional 55 minutes? Never again. The food was meh, the service was great (waitresses). Very busy but we were never neglected as we were before we sat. Rachel our server was attentive, professional and friendly. The music sound level was perfect volume, was easy to talk and hear at the table. The plexiglass between the booths was clean and free of fingerprints. The staff had mask on. My sirloin and potato were warm and tasty. The Rolls were fresh and tasty. read more

Disappointment after disappointment service bad management unacceptable food was the only thing that was acceptable

We had never been to a Texas Roadhouse before and I can't wait to eat there again. Our server, Beau, treated us like we were his only customers and served us with 100% awesomeness. Although I'm a TX Roadhouse fan this is the first location which underwhelmed me. I've eaten at this location several times and the food has been consistently good. This location always seems to be hopping, so a 30, 45, or 60-minute wait isn't out of the question on a Friday or Saturday night depending on how many people are in your party. The reason for my three-star review was twofold: 1. Bathrooms - they resembled an aging sports arena. I'm not going to gross everyone out with photos of the floor but I am going to post a picture of a broken toilet seat which has clearly been broken for much more than a day. Come on management, step up your game. 2. Service - our server disappeared a few times and while we weren't in a hurry we could've easily left 15 minutes earlier had she been around more. read more

tried to attend for my daughter's birthday. Called ahead for a party of nine. All but a couple were present in our party and we had the orders ready for the two that were missing. hostess refused to seat us because the whole party wasn't present. no offer of drinks, no appetizers while waiting on the others to join us. I ate at the bar on a Monday night. Heather was outstanding and very friendly. I ordered the 14 ounce ribeye. It was full of fat. Very chewy. I didn't complain because Heather was so sweet and I was just too tired to deal with it. Typically, I always have a good experience at Texas Roadhouse, but I must admit, I as disappointed here. Hour plus wait for corporate food. The best thing was we discovered a local fine dining restaurant that we loved.

Tonight we went to celebrate my father's bday, big mistake. First they told us they couldn't seat 7 people. Then they could but they would have to do half table half booth....ok. then they say it's ready, all 7 of us go in, then they say no not ready, so we all go back out and wait another 20 mins. We sit, we order drinks, my father's was a diet and he ordered regular soda. We asked for his drink to be replaced twice....then asked someone other than our waitress to get him his drink. Everyone's steak was wrong, over cooked or under cooked. The Arnold Palmer with vodka that cost $3, little to zero vodka in it.... Horrible service, horrible food. Needless to say, we won't be back....I wish I could do zero stars....but it's making me choose a star rating....negative 5 stars.... read more

Food was amazing! Server was great and friendly! But, the wait was pretty long. I waited about 40 minutes for my food. But they made it up with the server's service. She was really nice and she listened. She tried to get to know the customers a bit, which I thought was very welcoming. The food servings are pretty big. The prices were reasonable. read more
