Sammie was our server tonight and she was one of the best servers I have seen in a long time. Coming from a background of working in a steakhouse I think that her attentiveness is admirable. She made sure within the first few minutes of us being sat to introduce herself and to start us off with our drinks (the dirty soda she recommended was great). I personally ordered a sirloin that came out a little rare and she immediately made sure that I had it redone which I thought was extremely professional of her. The ambiance of the restaurant was very clean and I thought it was more put together than the Texas roadhouse off of i-40. Manager Kody was terribly rude!!! We didnt receive our sides so asked if we could get them off the ticket and he was very rude. Would not really assist us and had a very rude tone of voice. Reservation for 7:30, checked in about 7:10-7:15 and was told to stand on deck 1. My husband went straight to deck one while everyone got out of the car. At 7:30 I checked because they kept seating big tables and we were still on deck one. They then informed me they called our name and no one came so they gave our table away. Yet we were told to stay on deck one and no one came to us and called our name. Said they would sit us when they could! Never will we come back! Not worth it! If someone tells you to stand on deck one maybe they should be checking the people on deck before walking outside and calling names and not checking with the people told to stand on deck! read more

Each time we tried to dig in and get a "good" bite we would only get a fry. The cheese and bacon would just fall off. We hardly got pre-bussed and refills before our dinner came out. Doing alittle Christmas shopping across town. I love Texas roadhouse...the homemade rolls are worth the trip alone. It's pretty crowded as expected but we are seated rather quickly. Our waiter a young guy is friendly but forgetful before he left the table he asked me to repeat order twice. It's funny! I thought old age leaves your train of thought, trailing. He literally was having a moment. Overall a friendly guy that's had a very busy day. The restaurant is busy with activity, looks like several birthday parties on hand. It's a very casual environment. I decided on catfish and my hubby pork chops and a side of ribs. We are hungry today!! Did I mention the rolls and the honey butter.. We hadn't been to Texas Roadhouse in over 3 years because of the lack of gluten free options and my wife has Celiac. Recently we looked at their menu online, specifically the allergen menu. It appeared they had made significant changes so we decided to give it a shot. We ordered the potato skins, which the online menu said did not contain gluten. And honestly it should, we are talking about half a potato, with cheese and bacon, nope, can't make that GF here. Our server returned with a manager and gave us the menu that I have attached below. I specifically asked about the online menu stating otherwise, she said she would need to ask her boss. Basically said no, the little menu is it, the only menu doesn't mean anything. Apparently whatever seasoning they put on their steaks contains gluten, our server didn't specify who at our table was GF so they didn't season any of our steaks. My 6 and 8 year old girls even commented on how terrible they were. It's really frustrating for a national chain to care so little about accommodating a patron with Celiac, and it's a steakhouse, literally the easiest thing to make GF. read more

Pretty good bang for the buck. We tried this place for the first time yesterday. Of course, the rolls were amazing. I ordered the 6 oz filet with a side of corn and a sweet potato. The filet was tender and tasty and I enjoyed the sweet potato. The corn tasted like it was straight from the can. My husband ordered the bone-in ribeye which was also good. His side of mashed potatoes was ok and he had the same opinion of his corn. We sat in the bar area and our server, Penny, was amazing. Margaritas were tasty and cheap. Went in on a Sunday, didn't have a wait at 12:30pm (line was a bit longer when I left). The service was quick and high quality. I love the rolls, they keep me coming back every time. But the sirloin was great too, had nice flavor, and was cooked to my order of medium. Give the Texas Roadhouse steak sauce a try too, added a nice kick of flavor. Pretty good. The Prime Rib really was a bit disappointing. It almost had no flavor. There was a bit of gristle, not sure that's normal but it wasn't enough to really bother me. The lack of flavor was disappointing though. There is a box on table to pay and okay games. I played trivia. There was no warning that there was a charge that I saw. I was surprised when I saw the $2.00 charge on my bill. They did offer to take it off but I declined. Just won't use that feature again. The fried mushrooms were good. Remember how the old fried mushrooms would burn when you bit into one that was boiling hot? Not so with these. They are sliced nice and thick but cool enough to not burn you. The server was so nice and the manager was quick to try to fix my over cooked steak. My kids loved their bbq chicken sandwich and pulled pork dinner. The atmosphere is pretty loud and very packed but it's a Friday night. If you do plan on coming to Roadhouse, I would make a reservation online before going. I wasn't crazy about it but like the idea. 14oz Ribeye (for the price it was a really good steak-cooked perfectly) truly amazing. Chicken fried steak was nice and tender. Get the Mac and cheese! The rolls and butter of course are always a treasure. We had Chey as our server and she was excellent. She's on top of it and she's kind but not in a cheesy way. 10/10 would recommend her.
