Took my son and the family to dinner Friday Father's Day weekend and the waiter had no clue what well done meant because my granddaughter will absolutely not eat meat unless it's well done and it was pink, then I have to eat all steaks medium rare have too got my steak and it was medium well done waiter looked at me like I was speaking another language then asked me multiple times if I needed a new steak or did it need to be cooked some more So finally they brought out a new steak and it was almost just like the first one so I just left it alone. Texas Roadhouse is a staple in the Oklahoma casual restaurant scene and is always super busy. Their food is pretty good and extremely consistent which is mostly why I enjoy coming here. The ambiance is loud and bustling, so if you are looking for something calm and reserved, well this ain't it. lol Whenever you come here always count on at least somewhat of a wait. Ordered a steak, medium rare, and when I cut into it, it looked sort of pink so I told the server it was fine but as I actually started to eat the steak I realized It was completely dry and 90% of it was very well done. The manager was walking around asking how everyone's meal was and I told him I ordered the steak, medium rare and he looked at it and said oh no that's not right. I've heard behavior from him in the past that made me extremely uncomfortable--especially in how he interacted with younger staff--and it's heartbreaking to feel like those concerns were never taken seriously. I expected better from both management and corporate, and it's disappointing to see that nothing seems to have changed. I ordered a medium Fort Worth Ribeye in two separate occasions to go and both times back to back the steaks were burnt around the edges, the grill marks were dark and burned into the steak, the steak tasted charred and burnt, no seasoning or flavor, except burnt taste, the steak was barely pink in the middle and the rest of steak was over cooked and not medium which is what I ordered. One occasion was my anniversary and the second time was supposed to be on the house for the previous burnt steak, both times they didn't get it right. I have been ordering steaks for years and honestly have rarely ever had to send a steak back or complain. I did see they have a new cooking system, but in my personal opinion it sucks! I think I am done with this restaurant. I just don't have the patience to wait on an order and then have a burnt steak as the end result. There is no excuse to send a steak out burnt period! Check on you and that's OK but it's when you're trying to go. I haven't been to the Texas Roadhouse in a few years, my nephew chose to come first 35th birthday. I ordered chicken fried steak, steak fries and a Caesar salad. My Chicken fried steak was tender tasty and fried a perfectly golden brown, Caesar salad was delicious to head shaved Parmesan cheese throughout the salad. My hubby ordered chicken fried chicken, the chicken was moist juicy and fried perfectly golden brown - delicious. We had a large group of 16, all of the steaks orders (ribeyes and fillets) were cooked to order - tender and juicy - a great hit. I had a piece of plastic wrap in my rice, a potato burnt beyond recognition and what looked like white water on my steak. Yuck. My company had hair on her plate and in her food. October 16, 2025, me and my family went to Texas Roadhouse for a Birthday celebration for myself and my daughter around 4:15 the restaurant didn't appear to be very busy. The waitress seemed pretty friendly she took our order fairly quick, didn't get our food it was at least 30 to 40 minutes later no drink refills at all the mashed potatoes were runny the gravy was horrible. Asked to address this with the manager, she was less than interested in what we had to say, didn't even apologize for the poor service, offered nothing just simply did not care.
