Haven't been here for years. But felt like seafood for dinner so decided to try. They've updated the decor but kept the mariner theme. Their menu had the same dishes from 10-20 years ago when we used to come all the time, but there were a few interesting updates. Our server was friendly enough. My Lobster Lovers Duo was good, but hub's Mariners Boil was mediocre. If you want a good boil, go down the street to Royal Crab. We both got hushpuppies. The hushpuppies were not sweet and you could see the corn in them. They were smokin hot and not greasy. Fabulous. The new shrimp dish this season was marry me shrimp. My brother's birthday dinners at this Red Lobster used to be a tradition probably 20+ years ago. I came back for the first time in a long time about a couple months ago for my father-in-law's birthday lunch with our whole family on a Saturday afternoon. There were about 16 of us and we had to wait over 2 hours until our food arrived and the place was not packed at all. It could have been that the restaurant was understaffed at the time. They only gave us one basket of cheddar bay biscuits to share and did not come back to serve more while we waited for our food. I ordered the chicken alfredo, which was delicious, but again, we had to wait so long. I am currently pregnant and it was torture to wait for food for that long. I do like the upgraded decor. Red lobster's menu has definitely changed, was shocked that you don't get a salad with the meal! That used to be one of my favorite parts of the meal. The lobster dip was good, it lacked some seasoning in my opinion. I ordered the Admirals feast with coleslaw and fries. The fries are notttt the best at all. But I enjoyed everything else on the platter - fish, shrimp and clams. One of the highlights of our red lobster experience was Donna! Went for valentine's Day we put in a reservation for 615 we arrived. The line was so long it was outside. We went to the counter and checked in the weight was supposed to be 20 minutes, but that turned into an hour of waiting to be seated. then once we were seated, we waited an hour and a half for our food to arrive. I got the seafood boil, thinking it was gonna be good because it's new and it was not everything was cold. I wasn't mad about the time. I was mad about the workers lying to us saying that it was almost our food coming out and just feeding us comments like 20 more minutes overall I was tired and just wanted to go home once my food arrived. Party of 3 entered requesting a table to accommodate one person using mobility scooter. Party was led to a booth, not a table. A mobility scooter does not fit with a booth. Again, a table was requested. In the meantime, a party of 14 came in and all available tables were rearranged to accommodate them. (Not the tables that were in the room at the top of the ramp). So very disappointed!! Husband ordered the Surf & Turf. Option was a filet or sirloin. His sirloin was quite small. No flavor and was dry rubbery. His lobster tail was VERY small, and right at a quarter of an inch thick. He got maybe three minimum bites. Food was served cool. Red Lobster, your version of a Caesar Salad is a JOKE! He got a Caesar Salad made with Iceberg lettuce, not Romaine lettuce. Four small shaved strips of dry Parmesan with 5 small croutons. The dressing absolutely was just a heavy olive oil. NO flavor. Please get someone in there that knows how to make at least a decent true Caesar Salad. If not, then google it for gosh sakes. My Fish & Chips were great, but my Hush Puppies were hard and very dry. Fish & Chips are served with French fries. I asked her what I could substitute my fries with. She said a baked potato. I said can I have the Mac & Cheese instead. Please note too, I specifically told her 3 different times, I do not like French Fries, so this was why I asked for a substitute. She placed my plate down and said here you go, enjoy your meal. To my dismay, my plate is loaded with FF. I said her name, which I will not post on here....remember I requested No FF. She looks at me and says, well that's how they served it. She picked my plate up and returned it with my bowl of the Mac and Cheese. She proceeded to walk off again and I had to grab her attention to ask where is my order of crab legs? Her reply was, oh yes, I'll be back. My Crab legs were between cool and cold, as was my drawn butter. The Crab Legs were just watery tasting w/no flavor at all. I opted for Mac & Cheese w/o the bacon topping. Of course this too was cool. There were more hard crunchy pieces of the pasta vs. tender pasta. How does one screw up Mac & Cheese? Then I got charged for the Mac and Cheese. Lololol I ordered a glass of wine with my meal. After finishing the meal, I had like one and a half inches left to drink. Looked down and there was a small fruit fly and a teeny tiny gnat floating on top. Vomito! But she took it back and brought me a fresh new glass and said the bartender said no charge. Came in on a Sunday after church and had a great experience . The service was great from the beginning as the host was kind and the server, Tracie was awesome as well! She was very attentive the whole meal and was just a sweet soul. The food was amazing! Fresh buttered cheddar biscuits and the shrimp was great. I called to see if I could buy all the lobsters in the tank and they hung up on me while I was on hold.

The food was great, I got the shrimp your way 2 dishes: garlic shrimp scampi and a shrimp Alfredo, the scampi had an amazing butter garlic sauce that also goes well with the biscuits, which the biscuits were delicious, fluffy and tasteful. The Alfredo was great good coating with an even spread of shrimp kinda hard to spin but it might just be me. No wait when Olive Garden was packed. I'm assuming a prom night. However it took a relatively long time for the food to come out. The place had really picked up from the last few years so if you had a bad experience before I think you should come back. The ambience is nice, very colorful the menu is pretty, the place is a lot more blue for it being named red lobster but it's a good deep navy ocean color. Our server was nice and refilled drinks when they were low but we didn't see her consistently. Overall very nice place the wait time and service could be slightly better but it didn't ruin my experience. read more

We had made a reservation at 6pm and arrived 5 minutes early, we were met with very kind hosts and a kind manager, but we then proceeded to wait 20 minutes even after having the reservation booked. Normally I totally get it, however for a reso that seems a little weird. After sitting down we were with met with our server George. He was kind, however he seemed a little out of it and forgot quite a few items throughout the night. We had sat and ordered our drinks at 6:20 pm and got our regular drinks within 3-4 minutes. However, our bar drink took over 20 minutes to come out yet again. They seemed decently busy tonight, however we watched several other bar drinks get taken to tables that sat long after us. When it came time for our Entree, I had to ask our server to prebus the already small table. After being asked that, he simply dropped the boil off and left, he didn't shake the boil or dump it, which is fine, but we already had quite a bit of trash on our table so it simply just added to it. Eventually after letting my empty glass sit on the edge of the table for about 10 minutes, and watching him pass 3 separate times, I stopped him and asked for a refill. Finally, when it came to the end of the meal, we had asked for a box which he had dropped on the floor in front of us and handed back to us, we didn't end up using this box, we requested another nearly 15 minutes later. The restaurant was indeed a little busy, however, coming from another server, there should've been a lot more service provided. I'm truly disappointed in how I was treated here. We walk in around 6:50pm Sunday night and there is no one at the front door to seat us. We waited around 10min before anyone even asked us if we'd been helped (they weren't busy). We finally get seated and the table is wet and I asked if they could get some rags to wipe it off which they just handed them to me and walked off. We then sit there for another 10min and no one stopped by to ask us for drinks the servers are just hanging out with each other and don't pay any attention to us. So we decided to just got eat somewhere else and the guy who just sat us told us to have a good night which rubbed me a little wrong since he knew we had been seated and not helped. Came here this evening for a birthday. Arrived at 7 pm, was told there was a half hour wait despite the fact there were numerous empty tables visible from the host area. Was finally sat around 7:45 pm. Our waitress was SUPPOSED to be Miata. We sat there until after 8:10 without anybody coming up to us for drinks, biscuits, nothing. An older lady working came up to our table and asked if we had been sitting without service this entire time, which we replied yes. She took our drink orders and brought us a basket of biscuits. She brought us the soda almost immediately, but we had to wait at least another 15 minutes for the margarita flight we had ordered. Nobody asked us for our entree orders until almost 8:30. An entire 90 minutes since first arriving at the restaurant. Our food did not come out until after 8:45 pm. We ordered the endless shrimp and was incredibly disappointed that after waiting and 1:45 for a table, service, and for our food to arrive, we had 15 minutes to eat and order more food before the resultant closed. Incredibly disappointed. Meanwhile, Miata, the lady who was supposed to be our waitress, only came to our table once to tell us that she was our waitress and to take our drink orders, but at this point we had already been waiting for over 20 minutes and the older lady had already noticed we had been sitting a long time and took our drink orders for us. I attempted to speak to the manager, an older black man, but he did not care about any of the complaints I had, only said he would go find our food, which did not come out for almost another 10 minutes. Red Lobster used to be a great establishment, but frankly this place just sucks now. The service sucked, the manager sucked, the food was sub par and not worth the price we paid at all. For a place trying to get out of bankruptcy, I'm not sure how they expect to succeed when you have locations like this ruining the name. Safe to say we will not be back to this location. read more

Red Lobster since it's inception has been the go to place for a decent seafood experience. Recently I ate at the one n Norman just off I-35 on the access road. I can honestly say. I don't want that experience again. Sea food is a critical food. You don't handle it right and you'll kill someone or make them very sick. Sometimes right then and there. What they brought me that day was way over cooked, not fresh and I was for the first time. Disappointed in the meal I ate part of. When the waitress brought my check she asked if I'd like a box. I reply no thank you. Most of my meal was still there. She didn't ask any more questions which told me that happens often at least at that Red Lobster. I wanted to give Red Lobster another try due to the new CEO. I hate to write a negative review because I know the company is trying to improve but the food was far from good. The food took forever to come out, but we were patient due to our large group. We spent a little under $500 and I honestly felt bamboozled. The food lacked seasoning, warmth and presentation. The seafood was extremely bland. One member of our family ordered the Parmesan chicken and described it as rubbery and left with stomach pain only after consuming 1 bite. The seafood wreaked and I was not a fan of the sauces they offer with the seafood boils. The restaurant was out of almost every fountain drink they had on the menu. Food is always OK at red lobster. Not the best seafood but not the worst. Always salty as a MF. That's to be expected. I usually write my review, mostly on service and ambience because that is always subjective, even in chains like Red Lobster. The young lady who waited on us was the sweetest girl, and she gave us just the right amount of attention. The food was more expensive than it needed to be, but the service made it worthwhile. I left the biggest tip I could. I hope they pay their wait staff well. I don't remember her name, but My Husband thinks it was Tina. The place was clean and she kept checking back to see if we wanted to add another order of shrimp in the que.
