Stopped by this location at the start of my Road Trip. At first,the 50 minute wait I was told on the phone threw me off a little. Since I was already in the parking lot, I decided to see what the walk-in wait time was. Was told 15-20 minutes but actually received a text message in 5 minutes. We sat down and we're quickly greeted by our waiter. I ordered a ribeye smothered in sautéed mushrooms and onions, with a side kick of ribs. Definitely a must. Food was cooked perfectly and enjoyed everything we got. Josh, who identified himself as the "Partner" brought us a nice "first time visitor" treat. Tried this place again after going to Longhorn steakhouse... its not the same at all. On any level. Staff at Texas roadhouse seems clueless everytime I go in. They don't really greet, and when they find you still haven't been helped, you notice your hungrier than before. When we were finally seated, ordered, and recieved our food.. I order steak and found a hair in it, a long curly curly brown hair. Waitress was sweet and polite but didn't really check on our table much. And I don't blame her... its incredibly crowded. Even having a corner booth/table. She immediately went to fix the issue. However it took so long at that i ordered a pizza online. Manager was very professional and apologized for the plate and offered to give me a new steak and not charge me at all. After waiting and finally getting the steak (which by the way was cooked wrong and seasoned bad) then waiting again for the check.... the charge was still there..... I'm sure you can tell how frustrating the miscommunication between the manager and waitress was for me at that moment. I felt like I went to Texas roadhouse to waste time and money. I waited and waited and waited to get a steak I couldn't eat and watched my date enjoy his. All in all.... T.R.has A LOT of work to do. read more

Only one word comes to mind, embarrassing. My wife and I got takeout from here. It was the only time I can remember getting takeout and having a horrible customer service experience anywhere. This is why.... I got there when they said my food would be ready and I went immediately to the front counter. "Hi I am here to pickup an order" her without even looking up " that counter over there" she then proceeded to continue looking at her cell phone. I went over and stood in front of the counter she had pointed to for 15 minutes while the three women at the front counter stared at their cell phones and ipads. I had the manager walk by me four times without even a "have you been helped". It is embarrassing that you can conduct a business built on customer satisfaction and perform with complete disregard. I will say that Texas Roadhouse is probably my favorite steakhouses in this area, but the customer service I can honestly say is the worst I have ever experienced. If you want to feel like you are unimportant and belittled I would highly recommend this restaurant. If you want a good customer service experience then I would go to the taylorsville location. It's TexasRoad house. You go, wait for 15 minutes and eat peanuts with a bunch of strangers sitting too close to you in a small dark room then you're seated and waited on by a waitress that is way over worked and too busy to really care about your table. Then you get some really good warm bread a few minutes after being seated. Your drinks take a few too minutes long to bring out but it's ok. Then you get that 900 calorie blooming onion which is good. Then you order $14 steak and shrimp and it's pretty damn great. Meanwhile it's super loud and obnoxious all around you and the country music is too loud. But you're all good with it bc it's TRHouse and you know exactly what you're going to get every time and it's not all that bad of an experience for what you pay. ‍ read more

From the moment we stepped into the door we were acknowledged and seated. Food was cooked to perfection. The meat(prime rib medium rare) was juicy and succulent. It was easily comparable to Ruth's Chris steak house or Flemings here in Utah (YES that good the sauce made the prime rib). We were without bread as our waiter was stretched thin (still did an amazing job!), however another member checked on us within minutes and we had fresh delicious bread!! Our drinks never ran past 1/4 full. Having said that they were a little slow on the food service side of things and thus landed them at a four star. We will be back!! Worth ever cent! read more

A great place to take your family! Our server was very nice and attentive. We never had to ask for something or even look for him even though it was a Saturday and it's always busy. I know where to take my family when they come to visit. Their food is always great! First time I tried their salmon and it was amazing! It was the perfect place to come to fill up our bellies after a day on Snowbird Mountain! Best steak and ribs in town. What can I say, BEST everything. Highly recommend the Dallas Fillet, med RARE. Fall off the bone mouth watering ribs. Amazing rolls, salads are great along with prices. If you get the steak kabobs get it with the recommended rice and add sautéed mushrooms. I like that they add chopped boiled eggs to the house salad. Typical steakhouse. I had the sirloin and ribs and it was good. The smother the steak with cheese and onions ( I think I may pass on the cheese the next time). The ribs were good and feel right off the bone. With my sides and the bread.. I left feeling full and satisfied. I love Texas Roadhouse! The atmosphere is awesome with lots of decorations and friendly staff. Honestly I come here for the hot rolls and cinnamon honey butter more than anything else, but the other food is also great. The onion blossom is good, but my favorites appetizer is the fried pickles. I love the house salad that comes with tomatoes, eggs, and homemade croutons. I usually get a steak, cooked well-done, which they do a good job with. They cook it so that it's still juicy, but cooked how I like it. I also usually get the loaded mashed potatoes, which come with butter, sour cream, cheese, and bacon bits. Starting with the good, the drinks were great (but Petron makes everything better right?), the appetizers came quick, the waitress was always smiling and the bar scene is fun, loud and with big buckets of peanuts you really can't miss with a group of buddies and a big game on the tv. The bread is soft and warm, the butter is deliciously seasoned with Cinnamon, a delightful breakfast style butter but good anyhow since we were so hungry. However, the appetizer portions are piddley for a TexMex style restaurant, they were tasty but really not much of anything. The bread came out late, the salad was tiny and really not much to speak of and our food came out 50 minutes from when we sat down. The manager said our ticket had been lost and that our meal would be comp'ed but when our bill came out, it was as if no one had mentioned this to the cashier. The pulled pork sandwich looked like it had certainly been pulled but I would have wanted more meat and more flavor. My dinner companion ate half of it and pushed it away. He eats everything and anything and if he won't eat it...I won't be harsh but it couldn't be good. Then for my meal, the catfish was cooked perfectly but the breading had no seasoning at all there was absolutely no flavor although it was perfectly crunchy. The sauce was good so if you like bland catfish and dipping it in a lot of sauce then go ahead and try it. I thought the little performance of line dancing was cute but really loud and when it went on more than twice during our meal, it got to be a bit annoying but that's the gimmick of the place so who am I to argue with a business model? I liked the people there. The service was although slow and our meal being held up, I'll call it friendly. That was for sure. Sadly, I would not go back and I LOVE Tex-mex. read more

This is a great place for a steak dinner if you don't want to break the bank, you get alot of food for your money, and the rolls and peanuts are a nice touch also. I've had everything from steak to chicken to ribs and all are great. I especially like the side salad,they serve it in a ice cold bowl which prevents the lettuce from wilting, and the ranch is some of the best I've had. The place can get a bit loud with the country music blaring and the employees occasionally busting out in song and dance, but it's what makes the place fun. read more

It was Christmas Eve so it's possible the experience is much better normally. It's certainly very popular as there was a long wait. I sat at the bar to avoid the wait and both servers were quite friendly and told me the others name to indicate that they could both help me which I thought was a nice touch. After ordering my initial drink, they seemed frazzled and forgot to come back and take my dinner order. The bartender that did not initially greet me seemed to pay more attention to the customers whose checks he opened up which I suppose makes sense as he probably assumed the other had me covered. The food was plentiful, the free bread was good, the barbecue pork was good but average and the loaded baked potato and corn was so-so. I guess you're paying for quantity not quality. My water glass was dirty, not just a smudge but a piece of something. If it wasn't Xmas eve, I would rate this lower, but I give them the benefit of the doubt. read more

Absolute best ever. I've been to Tx Roadhouse in other locations, but this one was outstanding. My server, Bryan, was soooo friendly and accommodating. I ate dinner alone, but he always checked on me to see if I needed anything. I feel that he went above and beyond to make me laugh and enjoy my meal that much more. I ordered the sirloin medium with a sweet potato and corn. Everything was very tasty, but that steak was to die for. I asked Bryan for Worcestershire sauce and didn't need it. I ate every last bit of my food. It was too good to waste since I don't have a microwave in my hotel room. I will be going back and trying some other items on the menu. We have been to this Texas Roadhouse as well as the one in Riverton on Bangerter Highway many times since my first review. Amazing to us how the quality of the food has diminished over the years. We went to the Sandy location last May and it was such a disappointment we hadn't been back until last night. The yeast rolls were hard, my hamburger was so salty I couldn't eat it. My husband had a ribeye that was also so heavily salted he didn't finish it. We didn't ask for to-go containers either do it had to be bad. In May we were on peanut ration. They gave us little paper sandwich size bags of peanuts. We were told it was because peanuts could be a health concern for some customers. Laughable. Last night we were back on the full bucket of peanuts so I guess they aren't concerned about health issues any longer. I gave up ordering steak there about 2 yrs ago because they are so bad. I only eat the burgers and after last night I won't be eating those either. I will say they make a great dinner salad. read more

I was skeptical for a long time to try the Roadhouse cause I thought it would be like very other chain restaurant but boy was I wrong. The atmosphere is fun when you first walk in and the service was just as fun. They do seem like they are trying to get your order as fast as possible and in a busy restaurant I get it. The fresh bread they serve for free is amazing and that butter is just as amazing. The first time I went I got a country fried chicken with gravy and mashed potatoes and it was incredibly tender meat. The manager brought a complimentary rib since it was my first time there and it spoke volumes about them caring about their customers. The steaks are as tender as any 5 star steakhouse and for the price you cannot beat it. My girlfriend and her 9 year olf kids faces just light up when I say we are going to dinner here. This place is busy as Hell and I can see why! I will be returning really soon. read more
