    Rolls
    Katie W.

While the service was excellent and the food was tasty, I decided to give this location 2/5 stars because of the person making the rolls. I sat toward the window where I could see the rolls being made. I saw the person who was in charge of making, cutting, and rolling the dough texting on her phone with her blue gloves that she had been wearing when preparing the rolls. Of course, cell phones are dirty. Time Magazine wrote that cell phones are 10 times dirtier than a toilet seat. I do not know if there was cross contamination because I did not see her change her gloves, but she was texting at her station and I didn't not see her leave her station. I later saw her texting with her bare hands. I will likely not return to this Texas Roadhouse location.

Texas Roadhouse is pretty awesome. Can never go wrong with steak. This location though is always busy though but it's fine, we were able to get accommodated within 45 minutes even though they said it was a 20 minute wait. Also just keep in mind about how much "extra" toppings or whatever cost when you order steak, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, etc. when the waitress asks if you want onions or mushrooms on your steak or if you want your sides "loaded", those will be additional in cost. Easy to be overlooked when they ask you. I ordered a medium rare rib eye and it came out nice was awesome and juicy. My wife ordered a sirloin with bbq chicken combo while our little one ordered mac and cheese. Everything was good! Keep in mind ambiance of the place can get loud at times.

You can't really go wrong at a Texas Roadhouse. I just wish service was more consistent here. My family and I have been several times and we either get phenomenal service or crappy service. When we get crappy service it's really disappointing because when we have good service you just expect that all the time and it really sucks when you don't get it. Example of phenomenal service: Drinks come or we are asked if we want refills pretty fast, even before we are empty. Checked in on several times, they're super friendly and personable, they ask if we want more bread vs us asking for more bread. When I get great service where I am tipping in the upwards of 25% .. crappy service I am at around 18%. Food has always been good here, very consistent and tasty. Texas Roadhouse is generally our safe family go to restaurant when we can't all decide where we want to go.

After a day of skiing we stopped by Texas Roadhouse. I don't remember ever coming here, but it is fantastic! It was busy (Christmas Eve) but we were seated quickly! FAST Review Food: We were seated with a batch of amazing dinner rolls with honey butter! A bag of peanuts and quickly got our drinks. A couple of Juicy IPA's and a Mango Margarita. We ordered the Smokehouse burger, pulled pork sandwich and a 6oz sirloin. The burgers and sandwich were huge, very messy and great. The 6oz sirloin tasted amazing. Atmosphere: it was Christmas Eve, there weren't many places open, but I was so impressed with how well the team there took care of us. It was relatively noisy, but too overwhelming and there are TVs all over. Looks like they have great bar seating too. Service: our server Danny was amazing. Super fun, energetic and very attentive. Seating, Drinks and food all happened super fast and there was still a line out the door when we left. Tip: as our daughter would say for the price conscious the 6oz sirloin with 2 sides is a great meal. Seems she visits there often, but I have to say overall the meal for the 3 of us was a great price. With 25% tip our meal cost $86.

Normally this place is great except this time we found a dead cricket in our salad. The manager came over to tell us they clean their salads thoroughly. Whelp...evidently not. Straight up nasty

I had the Monte Cristo. Not may places have Monte Criatos and not too many people know what they are. Turkey, ham, cheese sandwich, battered and deep fried. Whoaaaa, so good. Served with honey. Mmmm mmmm mmmm. This place didn't serve it with honey but with a raspberry sauce, and THAT was good! The batter was crispy fried to perfection. Sooooo good. The fries were really good, too. Not a bad bar. The service could have been slightly better as I was never asked about a refill for my Coke, but not a biggie. She was handling the whole bar and our party of 35, so no complaints. Our food came out in a timely manner. Try them out! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. The Monte Cristo eggrolls were absolutely sensational. The tater tots are superbly cooked, spiced and crispy on outside but steamy tender on inside. The pizza was a bit of a let down this visit (removed a star) but the chopped salad was a good side dish. The PB&J shot rounded things off nicely. My family stayed down the street at the HGI in Sandy for 5 nights for my son's soccer tournament and we visited Slackwater 3 times. Pro tip: join the waitlist on Yelp! Even during the week, the wait was 30+ mins each time. Food was great. We tried a lot of different pizzas - we got the Chicken Bro-Do, Hot Honey DP, Tikka Masala, Taco Camarones and Margherita. The airy artisan crust is the same on all pizzas and is delicious. I would recommend them all outside of the Camarones which felt a bit underwhelming as there was very little shrimp and flavor was flat. The Citrus Morita dry rub wings are incredible. We ordered these every night. The Morita chile sauce I would throw on everything. Super fresh and flavorful. It had the right amount of heat . The breadsticks are really good. Same bread that they use for the pizza and stuffed with a ton of cheese. Marinara sauce that comes with it is top notch. The Diablo sticks are spicy just to be spicy. The sauce isn't good. We switched to regular marinara. Would recommend staying away from these. Service is great. Everyone is very attentive. The staff definitely give off a chill energy but are focused, alert and friendly. This place is a must if you're in the area. Hope we can make it back someday.

My one complaint is that we made our reservation for 6:15, but at 5:55, I received a text that my table was ready and would only be held for 10 minutes. That means our table would be given away if we didn't arrive 10 minutes BEFORE our reservation time. The pizza is fantastic. Which I kept saying to my party through bites of pizza. It is the crust that makes this pizza. It is a little sweet but not in a dessert way. It has the perfect chewy bite. I was impressed. I never eat pizza crust, not ever, but it was good enough that my dogs didn't get their usual crust treat. We tried 4 different pizzas and I would recommend any of them.

Today, we arrived and noticed the menu had changed. We ordered our usual Legendary Omelets--something we've ordered for years. Each omelet was priced at $16 with cheese and bacon, and we included several vegetables on each. When our bill arrived, we were shocked. One omelet was $25 and the other was $22. We asked our waitress how a $17 omelet had increased so much and were told that Legends is now charging $1 for each and every vegetable added to an omelet. While it was listed on the menu, we didn't realize each vegetable would be an additional charge. It should have been communicated that EVERY additional vegetable will be $1! Our total came to $51 before tip--for two omelets. We expected it to be around $35. We understand that restaurants have had to raise prices, and we don't mind paying more for quality food. What is disappointing is the feeling of being nickel-and-dimed over basic vegetable toppings that have always been part of how we've enjoyed our omelets. The vegetables added to an omelet are so minimal, I don't understand the change. Sadly, this pricing change means we'll no longer be returning. It's disappointing to lose one of our favorite breakfast spots over a pricing policy that just doesn't feel like a good value anymore.

The restaurant is beautiful with fancy light up menus which is needed because it's pretty dark inside. I ordered the beef ribs and my husband ordered the picanha. Both came out extremely tough and chewy. My daughter had to spit out her bite because she got tired of chewing so we had to cut each piece into 1/2 cm pieces for it to be palatable. I've been to Brazilian steak houses before and beef ribs are usually the most tender and flavorful especially when there is bone. The server did say it was going to on the chewy side but I didn't think he was serious. Like why would you make meat intentionally chewy? For a $50 dish that came with no sides and worse than what we've made at home it's pretty disappointing. We also ordered a side of the grilled veggies which had some veggies that were so bitter and others that were undercooked and no seasoning. The purple yams were decent and the coquettes but again the pricing for each was exorbitant. Also because they have a somewhat open kitchen style concept the dining room got extremely hot and we were just dying to get out quickly. For two entrees, two sides, one app, a bottle of water and glass of wine a bill of $225 was not worth it. Sadly not a great experience.
