I will say they could've been hotter. I ordered a side of Mac and cheese which was lukewarm and lacked flavor. Mac n cheese from Popeyes is 10000% better. Steak fries were ehhh. Our waiter kept forgetting our order which was annoying especially since he wasn't writing anything down. I had a really good experience at this location. I didn't realize Turlock even had a Texas Road House. So when I drove by I wanted to check it out. It's been a while since I have had Texas Road House so I ordered a Strawberry Margarita, I didn't realize how huge the drink was so I only finished half of it before I left. I ordered the Country Fried Chicken with some green beans and a caesar salad. In addition, I added a side of shrimp which was delicious. Everything was tasty and my server Cameron was super dope. Went here for a special anniversary dinner with my husband. The food was really good. We started with deep fried pickles and Ranch which was delicious! Then I got a 8 oz sirloin he got an 8 oz New York I got corn and green beans he got a loaded baked potato and vegetables. I didn't like the buttered corn but they put black pepper on it and something else I've had better corn.. he enjoyed all of his sides especially like the peppers for his steak topper. The one thing I could say negative about the place is that we really didn't get any good customer service. In fact in the end we had to go get our own to-go box because our waitress didn't come back and check on us. We weren't offered dessert which we probably would have gotten, refills, Etc. We secured our wait on the app, which still left a waiting time, but we were eventually seated. Our server was Ronnie. He was extremely friendly and personable. He kept the rolls flowing and our drinks topped off. We each ordered a sirloin. I had oral surgery prior to my visit, so this was the first "real food" I was able to consume. I was happy to see a Texas Roadhouse open in Turlock, CA. My family and I had a early dinner - wanting to ease our curiosity of the new restaurant. First thing we experienced was the excellent service & hospitality by the staff. They have a nice system of getting guests seated after checking in at the door. Our waitress was fantastic! Fun, professional, friendly and accommodating. She was on top of it! The food was good... not particularly great or mind blowing, but solid. The prices for the entrees were decent, too. I had the half-rack of ribs, a loaded baked potato & the chili. The ribs were good, feel right off the bone & tender. The chili was great and I could have done without the potato. Loaded it was not. My parents ordered the sirloin steak & the catfish. The steak looked pretty good and was prepared perfectly to my mothers liking. The catfish was a bit underwhelming and dad didn't seem that impressed. The blooming onion is a must if you order an appetizer. We all enjoyed that! Overall... our initial impression of Texas Roadhouse... the service is better than the food... but that's subjective and it's worthy of trying it for yourself. read more

The food is yummy! So much variety to choose from. The complimentary bread they give is delicious. The drinks are made well. I usually order a rib-eye and the meat is tender and flavorful. Placed a to-go order online. Received a text stating it was ready and to text "HERE" when parked. Did so and waited 20 minutes. Finally called the restaurant and was told they do not take orders out to cars due to "safety concerns." We were excited to try the new Texas Roadhouse on Friday night. Arrived and lot's of people, the wait was about 30mins. In the meantime we were casing the cuts of steaks in the display. Husband asked a waitress that was grabbing some hot rolls about selecting our steak choice if we had to wait to be seated or could we pick now? He then asked her if the Dallas Filet was a filet mignon? We were shocked when she responded she doesn't know because she is a vegetarian. We were finally buzzed to be seated in a small 24x24 table. I told the waiter/host um yeah, this table is too small for us. Could we be seated in that bigger table? He replied well you will have to wait longer! Husband was not happy and asked why if those tables are open? He then proceeded to seat us in the bigger table. Seated and the new waitress comes over introduces herself says she is covering for waiter who is taking his break. We ordered drinks and got some hot rolls to start. We told her we already picked out rib eyes from the case and gave her our tickets. Husband got a bone in rib eye and I selected the boneless rib eye both 23 oz. I got the sweet potato and house salad as my sides. He got the baked potato and french fries. Side note we saw the host trying to seat 3 grown women at the same small 24x24 table and they had the same response. Nope, this is not going to work. Our food came cooked correctly medium well slight pink center. I took my first bite and felt it tasted salty, tried second bite was ok, third bite had a weird taste. Hubby said it happens when they season fast with salt and throw it on the grill. I don't know we both ate only half and took the rest home. The waiter came back from his break and asked if we needed anything else? Just boxes, please. Time to pay at your table with the kiosk. Trying to pay with card and leave cash tip. The kiosk wasn't working right, but waiter came over and ofcourse it works then. The bill was a little confusing both steaks were 23 oz each husband cost $40 and mine was $38 20oz plus $2 each oz x4 +$8. Service was okay. Steak wasn't seasoned right. Hubby felt nausea later that evening. Next day ate left overs and hubby and son got sick from steak. I think staff is still new and chef needs more practice with seasoning. read more

My husband and I dined at the Roadhouse for the first time in Turlock. Our experience was superb. Our waitress was Macie and she did an exceptional job. She provided cocktail and menu options. She was quick and attentive. Our steaks were perfectly cooked medium as requested. The fully loaded mashed potatoes are to die for. I tried the new Margarita with black salt. It was a perfect blend. We were also visited by the manager Jeff, he was friendly and welcoming. This experience was exceptionally wonderful considering it was my husband's birthday.
