Had a party of 10 they let us know they couldn't sit us till 8 that's fine but once we got there they sat us at two different tables without asking if we were ok with that. Service was very sweet... the waitlist is a bust and we joined the waist list for 15-25 min just for there to not b a waitlist... there was some kind of fuzz in my drink after I drank it half way and when served my chilli bowl there was leftover greens on the side of the plate it was served on... husband got the bone in rib med rare just for it to be rare and I got the 14 oz ribeye med just for it to b medium rare.. so we just took a few bites and left home to recook the food bc no point on taking it back just for it to b cooked dry... the blossom there was a pile of grease on the bottom of the plate... only thing good was fried pickles... not worth over 100 read more

Long wait but did not know we could call ahead. And get a time when we could arrive, however eating peanuts and watching people was a good way to pass the time. First time eating here! The wait was less than ten minutes on a Monday afternoon. The entire staff was professional and kind, very attentive, and deserve nothing less than a 5 star review. We ordered the combo appetizer which was my favorite part. We chose tater skins, rattlesnake bites, and boneless buffalo wings. They were all yummy. Ordered two kids meals- steak bites and mini cheese burgers, fried catfish and a T-bone steak. Everything was cooked well and as requested but all meats were overly salted. This is a newly finished, and newly opened location, and it gets very busy and crowded from the time it opens until closing time. My mom and I arrived on 02/05 (Saturday) at 11:10am, just after opening time. We did not experience any wait to be seated because we were just a party of two. There were a few larger parties in the waiting area still waiting to be seated. Our waitress was very friendly and kind; her name was Monique. She took our order right away, our sweet rolls were brought right away, and our drinks (just sodas) were brought right away. The booths and seats around us filled up quickly. Monique came back to the table and let my mom know that part of her order was not quite ready; they were waiting on the kitchen to make the country gravy. Another waitress stopped (tall, brown hair, thick, with arm tats) who said it would be 8 minutes and said "give us some time, we just opened" (by this time it was 11:45am). Monique brought our food a few minutes after that but we waited several minutes for the gravy to be brought. Finally, we checked in with Monique and she apologized that it was taking so long for one item. My mom flat out asked if she could get a discount since her food was brought out, incomplete, and was now getting cold waiting for the gravy. Another 7 minutes or so went by with no gravy, but another worker came by. He put his arm around my mom's shoulders and told her that he agreed with her! The gravy should be on the chicken fried chicken, and he also likes the country gravy. "So that's why your lunch is on me! I just bought your lunch", he told her (tall, thin man with salt-and-pepper hair). I think he must have been the manager. The gravy finally came out, but I was already done with my lunch and Mom took hers to go (with the gravy, of course). Monique apologized again for the gravy issue but we told her it wasn't her fault, that she was really great, and we appreciated all her help. Not very accommodating for large parties. We called at opening (11 am), was told then to call back 2 hours before our party arrives (330pm). Overall, the food was cooked very well. The only issue was our server, Gabby. She came to our table a total of four times the entire time we were seated. Several times we had to ask other waiters and waitresses to refill our drinks, take plates, help us with things, etc. Pretty disappointing but at least the food was good. read more

The staff at Applebees was not 4 deep at the reception booth like TR (Texas Roadhouse). Enabled mediocrity because of a brand that other locations like Tracy have paved for them ....what a shame! I ordered prime rib medium rare. It was definitely very rare. I asked to please bring me back a medium rare slice but instead they put it in the oven and cooked it. Yuck. for the price I paid in the fact that they are a specialty of beef they should've cut me a nice fresh slice of medium rare prime rib! The prime rib has no seasoning on the outside of it, no herbs, no flavor. The best part is that herb crusted outside part. But they don't use any herbs. It had a strange sweetness to the meat, along with a smoky taste. I've never had prepared this way before and I did not like it at all. They specialize in beef, they should know how to make a classic slow roasted prime rib as advertised and pictured. I do not recommend it. I paid $42.00 for this with shrimp add on. I only drank water. Positive side, my dog got the whole thing for her dinner tonight. She Loved it! Server was great, restaurant very clean, but very crowded and very very loud between the people and blasting music. if that's what you like you'll enjoy this place. But if you're looking for a relaxing nice dinner, and a romantic and relaxing, this is not the place for you. read more

I really hate to give a 1-star review because we like Texas Roadhouse and are glad to see one in Turlock, but tonight was truly a 1-star experience, based on food quality AND our service. We did the online waitlist and were seated within our time frame, so that was good. Our server was friendly enough but definitely not on her game. She took our orders, and we got our drinks quickly enough, but then we sat there for about 20 minutes without being checked on and without being brought out chili. Idk about anyone else, but I like my salad or chili ahead of my meal. My husband had to flag our server down to ask for his chili. As she walked away, I joked, "Watch, she's only gonna bring yours." Sure enough, she did. Wth. So then I had to ask for mine and she came back with it. She apologized but she seemed so overwhelmed and flustered. Keep in mind this was 8 pm on a Monday night, not Friday during dinner rush. We waited about 45 minutes for our food--in my world, that's a long time, but okay. Sometimes the server will ask us to make the first cut into our steaks before they walk a at so they know it's cooked correctly--not this time. I had ordered the 6 oz filet medium well. That steak was so freaking raw that it was practically alive. I was so disgusted. It took a few minutes for the sever to come back around so that I could show her the nasty steak. She again apologized (again overwhelmed and flustered) and told us she'd have it made right. I sat there another 15 minutes while my husband and son finished their meals, and by that time I was completely over it. As the manager was bringing the steak back out, my husband was asking our server to take it off the bill and we'd leave without it, and that's what we did. You'd think there'd be a little trying to make it up to us, like, "Hey, sorry your food and service both sucked. How about free dessert?" I wouldn't have even wanted it, but the effort would've been appreciated. Nope. So they took it off my bill, but that's only right, since they ruined it and I didn't eat it. My experience with this new restaurant was poor. I have visited several Texas Roadhouse in the state of California, New Mexico, and in Texas and this experience was far worse than any before. My food order was wrong, temp of the food was warm (not hot / or felt as if it was just cooked). I ordered three steaks, and all of which came out overcooked. My sons chicken was trying and had no flavor. My daughter got sick off of pink lemonade, made her stomach upset to the point where she could meet her meal. I ordered a glass of red wine to come with my meal, the line did not show until after the meal was complete. Mine is the easiest thing to pour and should be one of the first things to the table with the meal unfortunately that was in the case. VICKIE/VICTORIA provided immaculate service tonight on 2/10/23 *chefs kiss* :) She kept all my guests laughing (party of 4), made sure our bread never ran empty, and ensured drinks were always filled. Our food came out perfect - kudos to Vickie, expo, food runners, and the cooks (items correct and steaks cooked to right temp). Vickie had amazing communication as well, as our togo food wait time was a bit on the longer side - totally understandable but her continuous updates were thoughtful. Togo food came out just as ordered & she even included all the ranch requested. :D She can definitely upsell, is extremely personable, and keeps guests happy. You can tell she loves her job and excels in it. She's the main reason why we'd return to this location!! We went there a few weeks ago. I eat my steak well done and have been to the Modesto location a few times. This steak came out burnt and only part of it was edible. I realize I asked for well done, but this can be achieved without burning it to a crisp. The cooks should have never let it leave the kitchen and the waitress should never had delivered it to our table, what a waste of money. I also sent two emails to their home office absolutely no response at all, I think this shows just how they feel about their customers. read more

Stopped by for an early Sunday dinner with the family. Place was packed so my expectation for great service was low. Sure enough the service was ok but the food was pretty good. Had the ribeye w/shrimp combo. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I recently had a $70 ribeye at a fancy steakhouse in San Jose that was not as good. The only reason I'm giving this place a 1 star is because of the bread. I used to like Texas Roadhouse a lot and it was better for me that they opened a new place in Turlock. The staff was friendly, we were seated and ordered our food and we waited almost two hours for our food. This was a Friday night and it wasn't busy at all. The food was terrible, I ordered a 12oz medium rare steak and it came out well done.. practically burnt. Then to top it off I ordered Mac and cheese.. WHICH I DO NOT RECOMMEND EVER. The first time I visited Texas Roadhouse was around last Thanksgiving for a work-related gathering. At that time, I left raving about the tasty Raspberry sweet iced tea and cinnamon buttered bread. So tasty. So then tonight, we return again--as a large family party, split across two tables and needing a table extension. Sebastian, our waiter, was fantastic. I appreciated that he checked in to verify what we ordered--and some adjustments by some of our party--was accurate. The bread and cinnamon toast was incredible, again. We went out this evening to celebrate some birthdays and it was a wonderful (but loud--which I would say is the only drawback) place to go for good company and great food. Usually Texas road house is date night place but I 100% do not recommend this place for one we got there at 8 pm never got our food waited two hours then someone next to us got there food before us and it's the same thing. I asked our waitress to cancel it and she said it was coming out then another 20 minutes pass. And I'm talking with the table next to us he said he been there since 7 waiting and they messed up everything. Manager would not come out and speak. Then we got our tab and then they gave us our food finally and we asked for well done. For one everything is cold and two it literally looks raw. We have heard so many good things about the bread from here so I was really excited to taste the bread but in my opinion it wasn't the best I thought my mind was going to be blown away. We did an appetizer, it was fries with Cheese and bacon and it was salty which I didn't really like. My sister got the ribs and it was dry and there wasn't really all that great. It a long wait for a walk in.. you need to make reservations prior to going so you dont have to wait up to a hour.. the steaks that we had were on the spot.. ordered a beer but not k n owing the price was a shock .. i ordered a blue moon and the cost was 9.95 for a tall glass... all the servers were friendly and very fast to please.. its a pricey, so its a place i can only go when theres extra cash ... place was.
