I'm traveling on a little road trip. My hotel gives me a 10% coupon for the Texas Roadhouse which is next door. It's Saturday at 4:30pm and I decide to grab an early dinner. To my surprise, the parking lot is almost full and people are waiting in the lobby area for tables already. This must be Valdosta's Capital Grille! I immediately find a nice corner seat at the bar and I bypass the wait. My bartender was Hanna. She was so sweet and attentive! Even Josh, the manager, came over, addressed me by name and thanked me for coming in. I ordered a local craft ale from Georgia brewing. Delicious and ice cold! For dinner I had the Roadhouse Churasco. My flat iron steak was perfect temperature and it was surprisingly tender. The churasco sauce was fabulous too. My loaded mashed potatoes with bacon bits were excellent as well and the bed of rice the steak comes on was so flavorful. My broccoli and carrots were over cooked and dry, however. I have to say, my expectations weren't too high, but this chain does an amazing job! I'm definitely coming in again on my way home. read more

Best Thing The freshly baked rolls paired with their awesome honey cinnamon butter. Review It had been quite a few years since my last visit to a Texas Roadhouse, and this was my first time at the Valdosta location right off the interstate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Structurally, the restaurant has plenty of parking and is very easy to find, though it was definitely packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On the service front, the waitstaff was extremely nice. Our waitress was actually in training and did a fantastic job--she was highly attentive with refills and timed our ordering perfectly without making us wait around. The front-of-house staff seemed to know what they were doing, but the hostess failed to explain anything to someone who hasn't been to the chain in a while, throwing out terms like we were "on deck" without clarifying if we were signed in or what that meant. The highlight of the meal was easily the rolls; they are obviously the best thing on the menu, and the honey butter is incredible. From a value standpoint, the prices are very reasonable, the timing was great, and the food came out quickly. However, the food quality itself fell short of what I remembered. Cons The Peanuts: I saw the bucket for peanuts but didn't see any peanuts, nor were they offered. Lack of Communication: The front desk host didn't explain the seating process or what "on deck" meant. Overly Salty Chicken: The Chicken Fried Chicken was overly salty and tasted like it was dropped straight from a frozen package into a fryer, rather than made fresh. Overcooked Steak: The steak was ordered medium but served almost well-done and dried out, giving the impression it had been sitting on a warming pad for a while rather than being cooked to order. I got a roadhouse at least twice a month. I'm traveling through Georgia going back home to Orlando went to Texas roadhouse as a normal thing. Been there 100 times in my life. This was the worst experience. I'm almost any restaurant I've ever been. No roles no Caesar salad salad dressing and they're out of potato skins for appetizer and the excuse from the young guy that said he's a manager walked by the table was we're busy we walked in. We had a five minute wait at 5 PM on Friday night there's no excuse for not being prepared for a ship waitress struggle to remember what we ordered. We visited this restaurant on March 29, 2026. We received our rolls immediately, no silverware. We received our salads, no silverware. After approximately 10 minutes of looking at our salads, we received silverware. As we began to eat our salad, the meals were served. How does a restaurant not have clean silverware? This place is supposedly famous for their ribs. We found them flavorful and they were "fall off the bone ", but dry. We had to ask the server for barbecue sauce. When it came, it was about 1/3 of a small plastic cup. The "Chicken Critter" salad was, maybe two chicken tenders all chopped up on top of the salad. Looked to me like they chopped the chicken up to make it look like more chicken. The requested Bleu cheese dressing came in the same small plastic cup as the BBQ sauce and was also only 1/3 full. We had to ask for more in order to be able to take our leftovers home. Also, we didn't get an itemized bill with what was ordered, only one with the total amount on it. We are currently visiting the area and decided to get a nice steak for an early dinner. What a wrong choice to have made. First off the award winning rolls were cold, undercooked, and tasted quite bad. Next the butter for these rolls, why is it hard and cold ? Let's talk about the main dish. I order a 6 oz sirloin and a half rack of ribs. Steak came out cold and undercooked. Ribs were nothing but fat surrounding bones with horrible flavor. The loaded sweet potato, was just marshmallows not butter or cinnamon. Now my wife's food, same issue with the filet that she ordered. Ordered medium came out purple inside. Went there for a burger. Had to wait forever once we were seated. Once we were served drinks, they were the wrong drinks we ordered so they were sent back. When we finally got our burgers, mine was well done when I asked for medium, and the fries were cold. My girlfriend and her daughter got baked potatoes and they were raw in the middle. I dont recommend this place at all, it doesn't seem there is enough training or dedication with their staff, so one can also question the conditions in which they work. Was seated at around 7:50? didn't get our food till about 8:35/8:45 after being told numerous times by staff the food had just come up. Mind you, the table in front of us ordered after us? and got their food, ate, and was ready to pay before our food even got to the table. When the food eventually came, some of my party's food (mine included)was cold despite being told it was fresh out the kitchen. As for the manager(four eyed clown who clearly is undertrained) came over and "apologized" for the wait and asked to see what could be done. but our party had lost its appetite so we just asked for a discount and to go boxes. The discount was a messily 2 dollars off a 25 dollar check+ asking for gratuity after that awful service. And here's the best part- when heating up the leftovers later on? i split open my chicken to find that it was raw and undercooked. After taking the order I received the wrong salad and waited for my other. We had ordered a blooming onion for our appetizer and it did not come out until our food did. We were told that a manager would come speak to us but he never did. Once our food arrived my grandmothers shrimp was on me and my mother plate and she was not given a meal. Asking for a manager and it took forever for one to arrive. Once he did he fixed our problem and said the waitress would bring the rest of the food. While I began to cut into my steak i saw a hair in my food and was immediately disgusted as earlier we had seen a waitress carrying a try with her braids laid in the food. While the food itself was enjoyable, the overall dining experience was unfortunately overshadowed by poor customer service and disorganization. From the moment we walked in, we were met with cold stares from two staff members--a young woman with ginger hair and another wearing glasses--instead of a greeting. No one acknowledged us, and I had to initiate communication just to let them know there were two of us dining. Once seated, I ordered a $6 drink called "The Rocker," which tasted like flavored water with no sweetness or noticeable alcohol. When I asked for a replacement, I was informed they were out of the alcohol used in the original recipe and offered a substitute. I agreed, and while the second drink was slightly better, it still didn't leave much of an impression. Throughout the night, I was given dirty silverware and had to request plastic utensils. We were served without the bread that typically comes with the meal because they had run out, and I only received one of the sides I had ordered. Despite these issues, I decided to simply enjoy what I could and not let it ruin the evening--until the bill came. I was surprised to find that I had been charged not only for the original watered-down drink, but also an additional $8 for the substitute, with no prior mention of an upcharge for their own ingredient shortage. I considered speaking with management, but the manager already appeared to be handling other complaints. In short, while the food was good, the lack of professionalism and basic hospitality from some of the staff made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. I hope the restaurant can work on improving its service, as it has potential--but right now, it's not somewhere I'd be quick to return. read more

Been a year or so since our last visit. We came in night before Valentine's Day and it was busy. We were seated faster than I expected. Our server was one of the best I have had in a long time and I appreciate that level of service. The steak was cooked to perfection. i hope yall paying the grill cook working that night well because I rarely see properly cooked steak when eating out; ;) I should have wrote down our server's name. He definitely deserves a shout out. Servers these days visit your table a number of times and never bring back what is asked for or they just don't check on you. This man did the rounds and never missed a beat. We had the combo appetizer porterhouse ft worth ribeye topped off with a big ol brownie. Those rattlesnake bites were my favorite. The quality of the ribeye was so good omg i am drooling thinking about it. I also had a classic margarita with a patron kicker. Even that was perfect. I rarely find myself posting a good review of a franchise restaurant these days. You guys deserve some praise. Texas Roadhouse has won back the top spot on my steakhouse list in Valdosta. OMG! Those were the words that came out of my mouth when I left this "fine culinary establishment."It took 40 minutes on the online waitlist and 10 inside of the restaurant to get seated. Once we got seated, our order was taken and we actually got our drinks on a timely manner. But then, we proceeded to wait over 50 minutes for our salads! Then the food finally came 20 minutes after that. I would normally recommend Texas Roadhouse to people but not the Valdosta location! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I guess the ambiance was okay. I went on a Saturday night with friends. Our waitress seemed to be busy, which is understandable. Our steak had 50% fat and 50% meat. I know ribeyes have more fat than other steaks. But 50% fat is overboard. We complained. We did not ask for money back. The waitress said she would have a manager remove it from our ticket. The manager came over, and we explained the problem. He asked, "Well, did you ask for another steak?" We replied no. we just ate this one. He then said, "If the steak is not to your liking, then common sense would be to ask for a new steak." I was flabbergasted. He then said he would remove it from the bill. Later we asked if it was removed. He replied, " Yes, I took off $4 because that would be about $4 worth of fat." and he walked off. When they were placed in front of us, it was obvious they've been sitting for a while. The patties were cold and the fries were cold. The manager, Izzy, was notified and a new order was placed. After 40 minutes, the bartender notified the manager again that we were still waiting on our food for the second time and the burgers arrived warm and the fries were still cold. When we received our check, we noticed the manager, Izzy, had given us a 10% discount off one of the burgers. This was totally unacceptable. I go to Texas Roadhouse in Kenosha Wisconsin twice a week and love it. I do a diet of no carbs so steak is great for me. Today came here ordered my usual bone in ribeye medium rare. The steak came out raw. After letting the bar tender know she immediately took the steak back to have it recooked in the kitchen. After about 15 minutes she told me she was sorry and she would go check on it. She returned and said her manager would bring it out and apologized again. After another 10 minutes I assumed they started over with a new steak. A couple minutes later a women came out with my original steak looking like it was only half now. She did not introduce herself or apologize just said her you go can I get you anything else. I asked for a refill on my Pepsi and she brought it right away but still no apology or explanation on why it took so long or why the steak seemed smaller. If she was the manager handled the situation very poorly. Will not be coming back to this location when in this area. read more

Had a bigger group that went here for dinner. I totally understand that things don't necessarily go smooth when there is a bigger group. Our waiter was doing his best to take care of us. The problem came from the kitchen. They brought out the potatoes but no steak for three of us. By the time we finally got our steaks (which were not cooked correctly) everyone else in the party was almost finished with their meal. We had 2 managers come by the table. When we received our checks, they did not even discount our ticket for the mess. We were so over it by that point that we paid and left. Worst Texas Roadhouse we have ever been to. Our waiter was not friendly what so ever, took 30 minutes to give us bread, and never refilled our drinks. The food was so bland and didn't even taste like signature roadhouse food. Everyone knows Texas Roadhouse house salads are one of a kind, but at this location it was horrible. Wilted and warm lettuce, and soggy croutons. Both me and my husband got 8 Oz filets and they were both so flavorless. After 30 minutes we did get our bread which was warm at least! My white gravy also tasted super odd. Luckily, we are just visiting out of town and won't be back. read more
