Ate here tonight for the first time. We were in and out in less than an hour! Amazing service. The food was delicious. Everything we tried was flavorful. They brought us a sample plate of their side dishes for us to try since we were new customers. Little things like that go a long way when trying new places. Menu is lacking soups. I love a good french onion with a steak meal. Steaks are as advertised in size and prices are within average. It is not difficult to cook a steak if you're paying attention to time and temperature. My medium rare T-bone steak was medium. My husband's medium NY steak was rare, literally red and fleshy inside. HMMMMMM. Thank goodness we aren't too picky about cuts so we switched steaks. Steaks had great flavor. LI tea was perfect! Baked potatoes are huge. Mixed vegies too salty. read more

This was my first visit to the Texas Roadhouse in Wake Forest, but it definitely won't be my last. First of all, our server, Miranda, gave us a very good first impression as she was friendly and helpful and she took excellent care of us. She was by our table every 3-4 minutes checking to see if everything was good and if we needed anything. When I told her that it was our first visit, she had samples of the various sides brought out to us and that actually made the decision more difficult as all of them were exceptional! The food was delicious. The Cactus Blossom was awesome; the rolls were delicious; and the Smothered Chicken was over the top. All at a very reasonable price for the quality. We went early, and we now know why there was a line out the door to get in as we were leaving. We will definitely return very soon! read more

My sirloin was really good and my husband said his country fried sirloin was really good too. Our side not so much. The fries were typical fries (got them loaded and cheese was like it sat under a heat lamp) the rice was pretty terrible. I ate one bite and left it. My husband like his mashes potatoes but said his green beans were way too smokey. The potato skins with ranch were good also. The service was decent... she was nice but my husband went without tea for like 10 minutes because the waitresses had to stop and do a dance.. that none of them seemed to be happy about doing. read more

I'm a big fan of Texas Roadhouse and this restaurant does not disappoint. Steaks are made to order and ribs fall off the bone. Fried catfish is pretty good. Service is excellent and the rolls are outstanding. Iced tea here is true Southern, not like some of the Texas Roadhouses in the North. Peanuts at your table are always a plus to snack on prior to your meal. I love the atmosphere of these places, helps to be a country music lover. This is my second time writing this review. The first time the company got it deleted. We love Texas Roadhouse and we love eating there. The other night was just a terrible experience, when I received my portobello chicken it had long piece of hair in it. The two female managers where terrible and highly unprofessional. One of them was even trying to argue with someone at our table over some salmon. But gladly we had Will that was able to fix our problems. It's sad it took 3 managers to be of assistance. The food is good-your normal tasting chain steak house. the noise level is very loud. The kid's mac n cheese is kraft and is always dry when brought out. We have been there at least 5 times and my picky eater is always disappointed with it. (my steak eater child is always happy though) read more

If you have anyone with allergies stay away. Visited last night told the server of the allergy which is easy to accommodate . Three times there was an issue . After a 30 minute longer wait than quoted an hour into waiting for food , and then cheese and butter placed on the items ordered after advising and having to send food back 2 times they 3rd time was enough. Went for Mother's Day dinner. We used the yelp app to get on the waiting list and still had to wait for almost an hour after we got there but it was worth it. Our steaks were perfectly cooked. My only complaint is that I ordered the 10 oz ribeye and it was very thin and more fat than meat. Next time I'll stick to the sirloin. My daughters was thick and melted in my mouth like butter! The service was good but it was extremely loud due to all the people and the music. Overall we enjoyed it. read more

Came in 10:15 pm 45 mins till close (11:00 pm) our servers name was Josh table 114-1, service was horrendous food horrible the worst un-edible our server said that we made a mistake because we came in "too late to eat" we arrived 45 mins to close the wait staff were all teenagers or at least for sure acted like them we ordered a cheeseburger, fries, 8 oz steak medium rare, chicken steak, vegetables, mashed potatoes, salad, and chili, and an appetizer of fried pickles The cheeseburger was hard as the croutons on our salad we went to get another one and the guy kept trying to replace the bun and argued with us about getting just a new bun but we got it The steak we ordered was medium rare but we got it well done my son couldn't even get to the bottom of the plate so I had to do it The chicken steak we ordered came out as a fried sirloin it wasn't event chicken and when we showed that it was just steak not chicken they could've cared less We asked for the manager we got the back line assistant manager he came out totally unprofessional and all he gave us a 10% discount We went to pay for our $50 meal with a $100 bill and the whole time we were in there it was loud from the waitstaff and there wasn't even any customer it took extremely long time to get our change we got $30 back which we were supposed to get $50 back And after the meal he said it's not his fault he was doing the best he could with what they gave him So we went to Wendy's which was much better as always This experience was extremely bad and I hope they get enough customers to not feel bad because we will DEFINITELY not be returning as far as a customer service perspective if your company cares about like this Texas Roadhouse location it you might as well lock your doors read more

Call me a snob but this place was less than mediocre. Salads looked a day old and my wife's steak was full of gristle. My filet was Ok and sweet potato was yummy. The place was packed when we arrived at 9 pm but I have no idea why it is so popular. Don't mean to get political but I noticed quite a few "deplorables". Golden Corral offers same food but it's all you can eat! Where I'm from, a "Steakhouse" is supposed to be fancy. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to friends or family! read more

Call ahead seating is not what is advertised. Called ahead at 3:54 for a party of 8. Arrived at 5:00 the time that was advised and still waited close to an hour. When Checked the website they tell you to check for your status, it always indicated no parties ahead of us. This seemed to be incorrect. read more

To me, the most important thing is friendly service and this place just does not cut it. The hostesses always seem to have an attitude with the customers. The bartender always seems to be in a bad mood and takes it out on her coworkers. Don't really like being around an environment where I feel that the employees are on edge half of the time. I have only been twice in my life. First time I got a chicken Cesar salad, since I'm not big on steak, I found a long blonde hair in my salad about half way down. I knew it was not mine bc my hair was black at the time. I also went tonight and got the same thing, only this time I found a few shortish pieces of darker hair about half way in my salad. In all honesty we go out a lot and I usually go for steak at most restaurants. I've had 12 dollar steaks and 100 dollar steaks. I've come to the conclusion that the Texas Roadhouse constantly has the best value for what you pay. Their bone in ribeye, the highest cost steak is very very close to the 50 to 100 dollar steaks, some times even better. If you have a TR near you, consider yourself lucky. read more

we were seated right away with no wait which was great but thats all that was great. waitress (Ashlyn) took our drink order. i personally asked for a sweet tea with a lot of ice and extra lemon. im guessing there must have been a shortage of ice tonight. there might have been 10 pieces of ice in the glass. i did get plenty of lemon. we had to ask for silverware and plates. she had someone else bring them out no big deal. She brought out our salads she pretty much drop them on the table and was gone before we could ask about the salad dressing. she wasn't seen again till the food came out. again she tried to drop and run but this time i had to almost yell to get her to stop so i could get some A-1 sauce. She never came back to see if the food was ok. my medium well done steak was way over cooked. my kids fries looked as if they were cooked then recooked and yet recooked again. i asked for bacon on my baked potato. barely had any bacon at all. finally got a drink refill after i finished my meal.we planned on some cheese cake after eating our meal. we asked her about dessert since we were brought the bill without seeing if we wanted any. i made the comment to her what about dessert she kindly replied "well do you want dessert" quickly replied Nope not with that attitude.the whole time we were there when she did come to the table she was short and had an attitude. this is be far the worst service we have ever received here and we come at least once a month.i personally picked this place tonight for my birthday dinner. i understand people have bad days but don't pass it onto customers. what would have been a 30-35% tip was cut down to about 10%. i really am disappointed in our visit tonight. other than the seating it truly was disappointing. read more

I went there for lunch around 2.30 PM on a Saturday and was not quite busy and was able to start as soon as we went there. I ordered a sirloin stake which I ordered fries and corn soup as sides. Fries were amazing and corn soup was tasty, but sirloin was not juicy as I expected and was dry. Overall service was average and the noice is as expected on a road house. And yes they had from scratch made breads which is bit sweet, not the taste I expected. read more

Love Texas roadhouse! Visited this location this past Tuesday and it was pretty consistent with the visits I've had at other locations. Little did I know that it was 'kids night' which was great cause my 5 yr old got a kids meal for 99cents. I usually get the 9 oz sirloin with the green beans (love those) and the sweet potato with cinn, brown sugar, and their butter. I eat so many rolls with that awesome butter they have (and peanuts) that I only eat a small portion of my steak and take the rest home for lunch the next day. My family can usually eat here for less than most places. My husband generally gets the ribs and eats every bit of it. The sweet tea is also very good. I would be in trouble if I lived closer to one! read more

This review is for their curb side pickup. The person taking my order was distracted and not listening. When I ordered a Dallas Filet, medium I was asked how did I want it cooked. When I ordered the second Dallas Filet, medium I was again asked how did I want it cooked. The ordering process did not get any better with the rest of our order. I asked about the pickup process I was told to drive to the Capital Blvd side of the building and park in the designated area and someone would come out with our order. We arrived at the designated time and parked in one of the marked parking spaces. We waited 5 minutes and when no one came out I called and asked if I needed to come in for my pickup and was again informed where to park and that someone would come out. I informed them that we were already there and in a designated parking spot. Someone finally out and asked for the name on our order and went inside to to pick it up. A few minutes later they delivered our order and we returned home to eat (a five minute drive). When we opened the boxes with our steaks we found two well done very dry and overcooked steaks. We have dined in at this location and never had such a bad experience. We will not be returning. read more

Worst restaurant I've ever been to. I watched them cook frozen steaks on a flattop grill before transferring them to a grill and then put a weighted iron on them to quicken the cooking process. Way to ruin a steak, no moisture left in mine. Potato skins were burnt and greasy. They spilled part of my meal on the girl in the next booth, left it on the floor and didn't ever replace the item. Steak fries were greasy and overcooked. Server spilled butter over my shrimp and potatoes which made them taste off, tried to catch her when she brought the meal but she just turned and left. Restaurant was filthy as was the bathroom. After waiting for two hours to be seated after being told half hour we were all very disappointed. I would not recommend this to anyone as you can get better food just about anywhere. read more

I've been to this place twice now. 1st time over 2 years ago and just recently. It has improved a lot since my last visit. Staff has always been pleasant, although my recent visit they seemed much more knowledgeable about the menu. Food was far better on the most recent visit I had a hamburger and steamed veggies. The steak is about standard with these types of establishments (per my friend). It's been getting to be more and more crowded, but lunchtime is fine. If you haven't visited, it's worth a visit. read more

We had eaten at the Jacksonville, NC location a couple of months back and enjoyed their food so much we wanted to try this Wake Forest location, it being closer to our home. Once we finally found the place, we had to wait for about 20 minutes or so before we were seated (this was on a Saturday evening). Despite the place being extremely crowded, the waitress Ashley was very good and came by frequently to check on us, refilling drinks, bringing rolls, extra napkins, etc. The steaks (we had sirloins) were cooked exactly like we ordered and were excellent. My wife is adamant about her steak being well done with no pink whatsoever and this is the way they cooked it. Mine was med. well as I had requested. At another "roadhouse" in the area, it's not uncommon to have to send something back but not at Texas Roadhouse on this visit. To cut to the chase, all was quite excellent but I wish they had better road signage for first-time folks visiting...we really had a hard time finding the place because it's not visible from US 1. But now that we know where it's at, we'll definitely be returning (and probably soon). read more

Excellent steakhouse. They are always flavorful and juicy. The cooks get the doneness right almost every single time. The free bread is hot and the cinnamon butter is a nice touch. Don't fill up in the free peanuts or you'll *have* to get a take home box for your dinner! If you leave here hungry, it's your fault! read more
