I went specifically to get the Christmas Koala and he's adorable. I ordered the Gingerbread Fizz but asked for the Coke to be replaced with Diet Coke just due to taste preference and they were very accommodating, even asking me to let them know if it wasn't good since they had never made it that way before. Server was very friendly. Service was prompt. Food was as expected.

Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambience: 4.5 Date/Time: 3/21/2024 7:30pm Order: Spicy Jammin' Meatloaf Crowd: 3/4 full Their upped game is still going strong! The noise level is still high but the seating to the far right of the entrance has less of it. The online waiting list feature is nice when you suspect the restaurant might be full. It allows you to put yourself on a list before you arrive so the theory is you wait less at the restaurant. When you find something good, why order anything else? :-) Went with the spicy meatloaf again and it didn't disappoint! 2 thick slices of meatloaf with a spicy sauce on top goes well with a baked potato and broccoli. If you like meatloaf and you also like some heat, try it, and if heat isn't your preference, have them put the sauce on the side and try a little of it. The meatloaf itself doesn't have any heat to it. Oh, and that bread... YUMMM! Service was excellent! I wish I had remembered her name as she was very attentive and really worked to take care of her customers! Again, try this location out and don't let the lower overall star rating scare you. It's a very good experience and highly recommended!

A mediocre meal at this location. The restaurant was about 75% full at prime time on a Friday night. Seating was quick. Service very efficient, friendly and accurate. The pace of the meal was quick, about 10 minutes from order to service. Tried ribeye and bbq'd shrimp. Both were room temperature at service. The steak, ordered medium rare was served rare. The steak was at least 40% fat; not a great cut of ribeye. Steak was very tasty - nicely seasoned. Shrimp similarly seasoned and also tasty. Had the food been hot this would have been a great meal. Also tried filet and lobster. The lobster and melted butter were refrigerator cold. The filet was served rare instead of as ordered - medium. Steak was very tender and delicious. Lobster cooked perfectly - not too rubbery with a nice crunch to each bite. Again if this entree had been served hot it would have been excellent. Overall I'd say proceed with caution. It's a reasonable meal for the price but execution can be sketchy.

Some family members and myself stop by this location after an appointment in the area. The hostess very friendly and cordial. Our server- equally so- the food was prepared per specifications- I had a cup of delicious potato soup & a chicken filet sandwich- there had the salmon entree and rib eye steak entree- all delicious. Located in a convenient location- close to near by's interstates and routes - accessible parking and wheelchair accessible ramp. The team will open the doors when needed l! A favorite!

I visited Outback to redeem a reward that was shown on my account. Unfortunately; when I placed my order the take-out cashier alerted me the reward didn't show on her end. Management came to speak to me and explained a situation of a company called "yayy rewards" actually issued the credit and I said I needed to contact them for resolution. Clearly, this left me annoyed & frustrated. I continued with my order because I am lazy and didn't feel to cook or wash dishes. The bacon cheeseburger was tasty and so was the loaded baked potato . The staff member that checked out my order was friendly and helpful as much as she could be. Luckily I'm a frequent DARDEN group patron, so I don't have these issues normally. Unika B. & Co.

Had Alice Springs chicken with sweet potato with brown sugar and cinnamon delivered. Sweet potato burnt up and unedible Mushrooms were not sliced and got just a stem in one part on the chicken They have gone way down hill... Will not do this again The AI response is ludicrous...

The service was top notch as well. All of the wait staff were friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and took care of our large group well. I started with the Old Fashioned Flight, with their Aged Old Fashioned, one with Old Forester 1920, and one with Buffalo Trace that they said was their restaurants pick. The first 2 were really good, but I think they gave me the wrong drink, because the one with BT didn't taste like it had any bourbon in it at all. But the waiter switched it out for me with a Tequila OF, which was really good. They brought out two salads for the table, and their Cesar Salad was really good, the dressing was so good. I ordered the Australian Lamb Chops, which were amazing. Simply seasoned, but done so well. I ordered a side of Chimichurri sauce, and it was not needed at all. My wife had the meatloaf, which was delicious, and the group all enjoyed their meals and drinks. We left full and happy. I definitely recommend you add this place to you list if you've never been.

The restaurant is beautiful, cozy, and comfortable, and the hosts and servers have been excellent every time. We made reservations once through OpenTable and once by phone -- both were easy, and reservations are probably a good idea since they stay busy. The food has been great both times. On our first visit, my husband and I shared the ribeye and loved the flavor. Their Caesar salad is also surprisingly unique and delicious with broccolini instead of a traditional Caesar style. I also really appreciated being able to order a single Rockefeller oyster since most places require a half dozen minimum. The second time we visited for an early Mother's Day dinner with my son and shared the off-menu tomahawk, which was excellent as well. The only consistent issue we've had has been steak temperature. We usually order medium, but their interpretation of medium has come out significantly more rare than expected. The first time, we had to send the steak back, and they asked us to identify only the undercooked portions to recook separately, which was a bit awkward and something we hadn't experienced before at a steakhouse. The second time, we tried being more specific and even requested an approximate temperature around 140°, but the steak came out closer to medium-well. That said, the flavors, atmosphere, and service have been so enjoyable that we'll absolutely keep coming back. We're just hoping we can eventually land on the perfect medium steak on a future visit.

When you walk in you'll be transported back in time to a rustic feeling, fine dining, and country feeling (since the restaurant is in a barn) type atmosphere. We started at the bar on the second floor to have a drink and then grabbed a table. At the upstairs bar I ordered the Angus Barn Smoked Old Fashioned (Crafted with Angus Barn 65 Maker's Mark Private Selection and a special proprietary syrup, served tableside in a custom smoke box) which was very strong and a fun drink to order as it is served in a large smoke box. To grab our table we checked in with the host downstairs and were seated. Once seated the table had a complimentary dish of cheese and crackers which were surprisingly very good. For an appetizer we ordered the Wagyu Philly Cheesesteak Eggroll (Wagyu beef egg roll filled with mushrooms, onions & smoked cheddar served with a truffle garlic aioli) which were high quality and pretty heavy. The order comes with two egg rolls cut in half just as an fyi. For my entree I ordered the 22 oz bone in Royal Ribeye and upgraded the side to Mac & Cheese. Each steak is served with either soup or salad and a side. I went with the French onion soup instead of the salad. The French onion soup was very tasty and had a good amount on Gruyère cheese and bread. Additionally the ribeye was excellent and the garlic butter on the side was a nice touch. For dessert I ordered a crème brûlée which was a perfect way to end the meal. I'm looking forward to checking out the Angus Barn during the Christmas holiday season as I hear it is beautiful. Looking forward to stop in later this year for another great meal.

Elegant, Ambient and too sweet (3.5 star)…read more I came here for work meeting and had prefix menus so my experience may be different from others. Venue: it is good sized venue, ambient and has upscale elegant - classic theater type of look. Went to the small room area in the back to the left past the kitchen. Food: I have tried crab shrimp bisque, cheese steak roll, calamari, NY steak and cheese cake. The shrimp bisque was good but I've had better- for example near by Capital grill and definitely not closed to any of the bisque at fisherman's wharf. But you know what, when I got chunk of crab and shrimp I started to change my mind that it was getting pretty good. Cheese steak roll was pretty good but real rich. Calamari had good flavor but extremely sweet. The whole table agreed that there was unnecessary amount of sugar in there. Steak was nice and thick- however it would've been better if it had more salt and seasoning. The steak was cooked perfect medium rare. Texture was soft but I was slightly suspicious of meat tenderizer in there. Just a thought. Cheese cake was good but again, I've had better. Service: service was good. Although since it was table size to acclimate a party - everyone was attentive. Price: in my opinion it is overpriced. I.usually put price insight in the beginning but I am giving my insight on this last because- overall the experience and food was good. Surprisingly, despite the restaurant being empty, we had to wait about 30-40 minutes. The staff kept telling us our table was "getting ready," which was confusing given how quiet it was. Service throughout the meal was quite slow. We started with the shrimp appetizer, which was good. We initially ordered oysters, but were informed 10-15 minutes later that they were unavailable, so we switched to calamari, which was just okay. For entrées, we ordered steak, crab cake and crab stuffed shrimp . Steak was served on a large plate with a very small portion and no sides included. At that price point, you would expect a more substantial serving or at least accompaniments. Dessert was the highlight -- we tried the crème brûlée, chocolate cake, and carrot cake, and all were enjoyable. One odd detail: the check was split into two without the server asking how we wanted it handled. Overall, for a higher-end steakhouse, we expected better service, smoother communication, and more attention to detail. The ambience is nice, but the experience didn't quite match the price or expectations.

It has a sauce and a slice of lime on top. It comes with whipped potatoes and apple sauce. Probably the best pork chop I've ever had. I also ordered an individual side of Sweet Sriracha Brussel Sprouts. While the sprouts were tasty, they were more sweet than spicy, at least heat wise, which was a little bit disappointing. It's definitely worth a visit especially for lunch on Friday which is the only day they serve lunch.

Was really impressed by the hospitality of the bartender Toulson (spelling?). He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and gave me detailed recommendations. -- The Hamachi Crudo was so bright and light. I really enjoyed the puffed rice on top and the basil ice complemented the dish well. The grapefruit added some nice acidity and the little crunchy bites were the perfect texture contrast. The pieces of fish were large and thick. -- The Manchego-herb Biscuits were awesome. One order comes with four small biscuits. Crust was flaky, the inside was soft and moist, and the flaky salt was the cherry on top. -- The Seared Duck Breast was phenomenal. The duck was juicy and tender and salted well. The skin was thick, sooo flavorful, and melted in your mouth but I would've liked a little more crispiness on the outside. I enjoyed the mix of fresh vegetables and warm cooked vegetables served with the dish. -- The Lemon Yuzu Tart was a nice bright and rich dessert. The tartness comes from the jam on top of the tart but it doesn't overwhelm the dish. The creme brulee style top was a nice touch. The buttermilk ice cream was more on the icier side than creamy. I really enjoyed all the dishes I tried here and am looking forward to my next visit.

I substituted the coleslaw for broccoli, and it was the perfect choice. The trout was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and one of my favorite dishes on the menu. We also had the dream team behind the bar: Chris, Shaq, and Gabby! They made the entire experience even better with their friendly personalities, outstanding service, and attention to detail. They were engaging, fun, and made us feel like valued guests from the moment we sat down. They truly elevated our evening. The only disappointment was the change in the Malbec selection. We were longtime fans of The Seeker, and the new Alta Vista simply doesn't compare. In our opinion, it lacks the smooth, rich flavor that made The Seeker such a great pairing with the meal. We definitely don't think it's an improvement and would love to see J. Alexander's bring The Seeker back. Great food, outstanding bartenders, and another wonderful dining experience. We're just hoping our favorite Seeker Malbec makes a return!

Seriously, if you can't find a pour you like here, you may just need water instead. Started with the biscuits topped with crackling and house-made preserves, and honestly, that combo alone made me question why I don't eat more biscuits in life. Sweet, salty, buttery chaos in the best way. For the main, I went with the pork chop and greens. The chop leaned a little overcooked for me personally, but the sauce helped bring things back together and added good flavor. The greens had a nice little kick of heat, but I kept waiting for that deep smoky ham hock flavor to show up like an old Southern grandma entering the kitchen... and it never quite arrived. Overall though? Still a solid meal, strong whiskey program, cool atmosphere, and definitely worth checking out if you're in Raleigh looking for a bourbon-forward dinner spot. Travelin_Broke approved with a slight side-eye from the greens.
