    22oz Ribeye
    Tonja H.

Trish was our waitress once we were seated. I had chosen a 22oz ribeye and they didn't disappoint. The steak was cooked to perfection, my sweet potato was sweet even without the cinnamon sugar. I had a sangria mixed with margarita with a shot of 1800 that was exactly what I needed. Will definitely return.

From start to finish service was good. We stopped in for a quick bite for a late lunch. We were taken to our table upon check-in. We received the best care and service all around. There was a minor hiccups after I got my drink, but without missing a step another server stepped in for the assist. #teamtexasroadhouse Food was good, too good to finish unfortunately. But everything tasted good the next day. Win-win!

Dinner is great I highly recommend

Sirloin steak, loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli and carrots
    Ellen D.

We had heard a lot of positives about this restaurant and we weren't disappointed. We decided to go for an early dinner. We both ordered the sirloin steak dinner special. The steaks were cooked perfectly. I had loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli and carrots as sides. My husband had steak fries and applesauce. When we were seated, we were given a basket of homemade rolls with whipped butter. Our waitress, Dani, was very pleasant and caring. The restaurant manager, Becky, served us samples of corn, mushrooms, loaded potatoes and fried onions to try since she knew that it was our first time there. This was a very good dining experience with excellent food and hospitality. We will definitely go back. I highly recommend Texas Roadhouse in Westminster for a reasonably priced, delicious meal.

    Perfectly cooked NY Strip.

To start it reminds me of a truck stop because not only can you get food, you can coffee, slushies and gas (Caroll Fuel). They also offer sweet desserts from the Amish Market and raw butcher's meat in the freezer section along with fresh milk and beverages. Onto the food....the setup is easy because you order your food on a kiosk like you can at most restaurants. You bunch in your cell number, pick your food, and type in your name for pickup. We order a few items, a pulled pork sandwich, hand carved turkey sandwich, half slab of ribs, onion rings, pit beans (which is a trio of beans), and hand cut fries (which will remind you of Boardwalk Fries). The wait wasn't long at all, it took about only 10 minutes to get all of our food. The fries and onion rings were hot and fresh out the grease, the sandwiches were loaded, and the ribs were seasoned and cooked perfectly.

Today I tried the open faced turkey with fries and gravy, brisket quesadilla, collards, and Mac and cheese. I was able to grab a seat after ordering at the kiosk. The spot is so neat with lots of local favorites like zeeks, southern mountain creamery, and more. Also lots of grab and goes. The food is rediculously yummy. The open faced turkey was delicious and a great portion. The Mac and cheese is some of the best I've had. I definitely advise checking this place out!

As we were being led to our table I noticed many empty tables and 4 empty booths. I asked if we could get a booth rather than the table but she said no as they were reserved..okay. We had MD crab, cream of crab, and scallops wrapped in bacon for appetizer. All excellent! My soft crab sandwich and side of onion rings all cooked to perfection. My friends had shrimp and grits and stuffed rockfish, both meals exquisite. For dessert lemon tart and the chocolate peanut butter cake. Yum, the only thing that could have made that better was a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. Kudos for using a local company for their desserts, Bertuccos Bakery and giving them credit on the menu. Love it, supporting other Carroll County businesses. To top of the entire evening we had Blake as our server, the absolute % best. From the introduction, use of beverage napkins under our drinks, clearing of dirty dishes, and to the dry humor he engaged us with us throughout the evening. Thank you! In today's society many servers are handing me my bill before I even finish my meal and dont bother to clear away dirty dishes. What a pleasant evening out with friends with great food and quality service. We left by 530pm and the entire time we were there, at least 3 booths and a couple of tables were consistently vacant. Your hostesses need to work a little better at seating people without long wait times. The couple behind us were told a 45 minute wait. This is not our first time at Maryland Mallet and have been turned away at 4pm on a Saturday before due to no seating available because of reservations. Growing up in the hospitality industry, I would say that you may be losing some potential revenue. Just a thought! Kudos to Blake and your kitchen staff!

Another food runner also deserves recognition because he was incredibly motivated and on top of everything. Their timing was perfect. Braydn seemed to intuitively know exactly when to check on us, refill our drinks, and ask if we were ready to order. She was genuinely friendly and looked like she truly enjoyed her job, which always makes for a better dining experience. We sampled a few cocktails, and my White Cosmo was absolutely delicious! For dinner, I ordered the Oh My Mahi, and "oh my" was exactly my reaction. The moist mahi mahi was served over a bed of saffron rice and topped with an Asian slaw. There were so many layers of flavor, and every bite depended on how you attacked it. I started by dragging my fork through the hoisin sauce and picking up some rice, fish, and slaw all together. The temperature and flavor combinations were remarkable with the hot saffron rice with just a hint of hoisin, the fresh, flaky fish, a pop of ginger, then the cooler, crisp crunch of carrots, cabbage, red onion, red pepper, and I think spinach. Every bite was different, the presentation was beautiful, and the meal was simply amazing. My husband ordered the Papa Burger, a clever play on "jalapeño popper." It featured two flavorful patties topped with bacon, jalapeño jelly, cheddar, cream cheese, sautéed onions, and fresh-cut fries. I stole one bite...then another...then a third! I'm officially renaming it the "Oh My Poppa Burger" because it may have been the best burger I've ever tasted. That says a lot because I'm a traditionalist when it comes to burgers. I'm not even a bacon fan. Yet somehow this combination just worked. What is in that cream cheese, bacon, and jalapeño jelly combo that make this burger so ridiculously good? Next time I'm in a burger mood, I am coming here! But everything looked so good so I may be back before that burger mood strikes. The only reason I'm giving Lost Lion four instead of five stars is that my husband would have loved to add a simple slice of tomato and some lettuce. We were hesitant to ask because we know substitutions can snowball, and we quickly got the impression that the chef preferred not to alter the menu as written. He didn't even dare ask for a side of ranch for the fries after this. If small additions like lettuce or tomato were an option, even for a small upcharge, it would make an already fantastic burger even better for some. That said, between the outstanding service, creative and delicious food, excellent cocktails, and warm ambiance on a Thursday evening, The Lost Lion made a wonderful first impression. We'll definitely be back.
