My son and I had dinner here on April 22. The service was equal to or better than any restaurant I have ever been to. With service this good, they could have served me tree bark, and I would have enjoyed it. In reality, the food overall was very good, which is why there almost always seems to be a wait. The staff and especially the management should be commended on a job well done. (I would note that we recently went to the same branded restaurant in Hunt Valley and had the completely opposite experience. Got there at 5:45pm on a Sunday. We were told it was a 20-30 minute wait. Waited for a long time without the buzzer going off and new people coming and going. At 7PM we were told they skipped us and we would be next. Ten minutes later we were brought to a table only to be served raw steak instead of medium well. And that was after a manger came to check on us and said the steak wasn't quite done yet and he was going to have them cook it longer. Never going here again. read more

Have been coming almost every Sunday for YEARS! Know many of the staff and see many friendly faces. Their food is always timely and good. However- as someone who loves coming here with church family and friends... It breaks my heart to be split up the way we do. Every time if you have a party of 6+... You must be separated amongst various booths or tables rather than just flipping tables together. It is claimed it is a fire hazard, but they did that for YEARS before hand and never had an issue... Color me surprised that this huge chain is getting 5 stars but yeah, it was really that good. Believe the prior reviews about the bread. It was divine -- all yeasty, warm, buttery carbohydrate perfection. I had the "Dallas filet" which the server said was their most tender cut. It was superb and yes, extremely tender, grilled to a perfect medium, and the mushrooms and onions on top were yummy (okay, so the onions could've been a bit more caramelized). The green beans were topped with onion and bacon (okay, so they were a tad too soft) and there was a delicious, hot baked potato on the side with no foil in sight. A decent baked potato is something that seems an insurmountable feat for so many restaurants, so they get a whole star just for that. My husband had the ribeye with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies, all great. And the 3 kids enjoyed their mini burgers, ribs, and chicken tenders (which seemed freshly made, not microwaved from frozen). Gosh, even their iced tea was tasty. Our server Rick was excellent. The service and waiter were really good. The roles and our potato skins were very good to. But when we got our entrees my all American burger was way overcooked and very salty. Also, the "fall of the bone ribs" were super dry, and the steak was undercooked but the steak was very tasty. All and all I would say it was a meh first time experience. But, I will acknowledge that the manager came over to our table and apologized and got me a new burger that wasn't salty and cooked medium. Let me start by saying that this was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had by far. I am here from California on business and chose to eat here because I'm staying at the Days Inn next door. I wish I lived here so I could frequent this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome. The young lady who greeted me was very pleasant and the one who took me to my table was very nice and informative when I told her it was my first time. My server was Heather. She is one is the best servers I've ever had. She was very sweet, attentive, informative, and helpful. A young man named Grant brought me a welcome package since it was my first time, which I found very thoughtful. The rolls and butter were out of this world, the fried pickles were perfect. I ordered the 8oz sirloin and shrimp combo for my entree. The steak was a PERFECT medium rare and melted in my mouth. The shrimp was well seasoned and super yummy. I can't express enough how awesome everything was. I will be visiting my local Texas Roadhouse location in California and I can only hope it's as amazing as this one. Thank you, guys! read more

Won't be coming back here. Came early with our two kids (1 and 3). We came early because kids will be kids. No wait! Great! We sit down and the waitress asks if we would like to have the kids meals come out with the app. Sounds good. Big mistake. Not two minutes later one of the kids meals comes out, for the 3 year old. She tried to be good and wait for the other meal, but come on she's 3! My one year old's meal didn't come out til 20 minutes later! By that time the 3 year old was pretty much done. Our meal? Yeah not for 30 more minutes. My 3 year old was about the climb the walls. The waitress never came over and gave us an update about why our meals took almost an hour. When they finally came out there was a half hearted "Wow that took a while" we just asked for them to go. Whoever was in the kitchen needs their head examined. So after confronting the manager who more then had her hands full ( she obviously does not have a decent number two to assist) she rectified the situation by seating us within 5 minutes of being notified of the situation ( so for those keeping track our wait was an hour when we had been told it would be 5-15 minutes) she also offered to comp our dessert or appetizer but we were not interested in either. So instead she gave us half off our bill. Nice and we appreciated it by giving the waitress a good tip 30%. But the table was dirty and the window and shades were disgusting (we know because our table was smacked up againist) biggest takeaway not fault of staff but of owner and designer corporate. 4 tables are not enough in such a elder community not a friend of the handicapped is this restaurant. read more

This is our go to restaurant of choice in Westminster. We have been there a minimum of 10 times in the past year. They are very consistent. Not once have we had an incorrect order. We always order steaks and they have been cooked perfectly every time. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. My only complaint would be the wait time since they are ALWAYS busy. Lucky for us we discovered call ahead seating and it works like a charm. read more

My husband and I went here because he likes steaks (I try to avoid red meats) and I wanted him to enjoy himself which he did. Since I don't eat red meat I decided to try the grilled salmon. Who can screw up salmon? Evidently Texas Roadhouse can. Long story short, it was the WORST salmon I've ever eaten (I eat it anywhere and everywhere) but this is the first that actually had a horrible fishy taste to it. It was loaded with sodium on top of that I guess to disguise the horrible flavor. My fault. This is a steakhouse and it is steaks which they do best. They are definitely NOT a seafood restaurant. Even the shrimp had a bad smell to it. When I complained about it all I got was an "i'm sorry...I'm sorry". Want seafood? Go to Red Lobster, or Legal Seafoods or any other reputable seafood restaurant but do NOT order seafood from Texas Roadhouse. The only reason it's on the menu is to "please" non meat eaters like myself with an option but this is NOT the option to take. read more

Went here for my boyfriends surprise birthday dinner and it was fantastic!! ALL of the host staff were sweet and helpful, despite our having over 12 in our dining party! (Call ahead seating is a must!!) Our server (Amber, I believe) was exceptional. She was patient, attentive, and kind. We had a few unexpected guests and she made everyone feel welcome (plus a joke that was pretty funny!) As a former server, I know we were kind of a pain but she was effortless. By far the best chain steakhouse. I've been to many locations across the country and haven't been disappointed. Westminster is just as good as the rest. The steaks are always done exactly to order and the cuts are very good. The ribs are juicy and my girl's favorite. The signature margaritas are delicious and refreshing. Can't say enough good things about the food. Yesterday I took my 3 kids there for father's day, and they loved the cheese fries, ribs and steak that they ordered too. The managers stay very involved in the service. Yesterday the waiter was delayed with something and the manager came over, apologized for the delay and took our drink and appetizer order himself. Other times the managers would go around, introduce themselves and make sure everything was ok. The staff is always busy but they take care of business and are always friendly. Call ahead seating is a must. Rarely can you just walk in and be seated. Busy days the wait can reach 2 hours. Great place for a date, dinner with family, or just to hang out at the bar. read more

This is our favorite steakhouse. Awesome place for a great meal! The staff is always friendly and ready to serve! We love the Dallas Fillet and ribs. We know the steaks will always be tender and cooked to perfection. The service is usually great too. One time, over the summer last year, the wait staff lost track of our order and we had to wait over an hour. My husband and I have been to the Westminster TR several times. First of all those complaining about the long wait! Why do you think there's a wait? Not because it isn't good. I've had the steaks and they were wonderful. The vegetables, salad, and of course the bread and butter. When we go there we eat at the bar. We get great service. Everyone needs to take a moment and realize that the person serving you is not cooking the food. If your steak or whatever meat you order is not to your liking then let your server know so it can be corrected. It is not always your servers fault if the food isn't right, but then most of you take it out on them by leaving a lousy tip!. This restaurant comes highly recommended by us. read more

This was the worst experience that I have ever had the people were rude. When asked to see a manager they sent a little girl who clearly did not know anything about satisfying a customer. This happened on Saturday, March 26, 2016. We were also told that at first they could accommodate my family but they put us a different tables even though we brought it to their that there was space to accommodate. Went to the Westminster location tonight for the first time in many years. Five of us and we waited about 1 1/2 hours. Server was nice and the food was good. I ordered almost the most expensive item on the menu the ribeye. Got the 16 oz with fully intending to take some home. At the end of the meal, I put half in a box with the fries left over. Unfortunately, walked away from the table without our box. It was only about 15 seconds to walk around the corner to realize that I forgotten the box. Walked back already the box was thrown out. Could not believe it. Aren't they trained at all than when something is in a box it is not necessarily trash? People at the front desk said "sorry, they are supposed to bring boxes like that to the desk". Guess no one told them that or just bad training. Don't know why they have all the posters around about training awards, etc. We had already been there 3 hours and had enough of the noise and just did not want to wait for a manager, so just left. Very disappointed and will not return there. Will look for a restaurant with better staff training. read more

Stopped in for lunch and while the restaurant was only about a third full we were that we would have to wait about 20 minutes for a table(?!?!) I walked thru the restaurant to the restroom and there was literally at least 7 servers standing around chit chatting doing nothing so on my way back to the waiting area I approached the hostess stand and asked since there were numerous tables available and many servers doing nothing if we could be seated and at least get a drink - that we didn't mind waiting to order food. She told me she would have to see what she could do but amazingly we were seated right after that. I under stand shift changes but this was ridiculous - a manager should really be watching what the very young girls at the hostess stand are doing because this put us all in a bad mood as well as the other patrons that were sitting in the waiting are that had noticed the same thing. I came here a few weeks ago and forgot to write a review about my awesome experience dining here. We had a large party of 12 so they had to split us between 2 tables (which I didn't like but I wasn't going to argue) the hostess Kenna who was extremely nice & respectful told us it was going to be about a 40-50 minute wait. She gave us updates of what the tables were doing and the moment they got up, the tables were cleaned and we were ready to sit down and eat! The girl who sat us, she seemed very nice and gave us an extra basket of rolls when we asked. Not to mention she carries rolls, silverware and 4 kids menus at one time! The rolls are always amazing there and so is the butter. I did not like that we had 2 different servers for our tables. My sons steak wasn't cooked correctly. Just a little over done but it was fine. He still ate it and he loved it. We did talk to a manager named Dave and he helped us out! He offered to give us a free appetizer. My husband said he's had our server before and she was amazing. (Her name was Lauren by the way) she was so nice and sweet! However, she had her ears gaged which grosses me out. I got the ribs and they really are fall off the bone! My daughter got the chicken critters and they are perfect for young kids. I recommend coming to this place but not if you have a larger party unless you don't mind splitting!
