Our last 2 visits to this location there were dogs in the restaurant. These were clearly not service dogs. The one lady poured water out of a dog bowl dish back into her glass on the table. The other lady had the dog sitting in the booth right next to her. Both times manager did not do anything about it. This is unsanitary and proposes serious health risks. Horrible service. Arrived on a Tuesday @ 4pm in order to avoid the evening crowd. Turns out to be a good decision as there were only 6 other groups in the entire establishment. Texas Roadhouse decided to seat our group of 7 in a regular booth, near the bathrooms, and amongst 4 other families squished into their booths all around ours. Making matters worse....they thought to pull out the extension rods from the booth, and bring over a spare chair & table top, so that one of us could 'enjoy' sitting in the aisle...EVEN CLOSER to everyone else around us. Before we all sat, I politely asked if we could sit 10 feet away at the bench wall with all of the couple tables pushed together for large groups.....and was told: "We don't have wait staff to serve that area." So we left, and went to LongHorn Steakhouse on Pleasant Valley Rd, and the service was polar opposites! Not only was Longhorn steakhouse just as busy (or lack thereof) at that particular time, but they had no problem providing COMMON SENSE spacing between groups, and table selection..so that our experience was a pleasant one. Enjoyed a delicious anniversary meal with my partner. Our server (Can't remember her name- brunette young woman) was accommodating to all of our needs. I received a baked potato instead of a sweet potato & after I kindly brought it to her attention, our server was apologetic and promptly fixed this mistake. As always, I overindulged in the rolls before our meal arrived & she brought a to go box. the only issue with our evening out was the rude (and possibly intoxicated) couple in our section that decided to get loud with the wait staff and management. Whatever their issue was could have not been that big of a deal- they were shouting & using profanities. Truly disgusting behavior in a public setting!! Have to share my rant. We order dinner. Get our plates put on the table in front of us. My husband got a steak with chicken. We started eating. The waitress comes up and says you got two.. my husband said yes.. two drinks because they got doubled up by Two different waiters .. she like no two steaks.. she asked after he had starting eating if she could take the one steak off his plate to the back . I'm like no..he has started eating off the plate. I requested to speak to the manager, Ed, comes over and says he needs to take he steak Off his plate. I'm like no..he has started eating off that plate. He continues with then you will be charged for the 2nd steak. I'm like it was your staffs mistake and he has started eating off his plate. The manager felt I was being rude.. my thought is who would have gotten that steak if they had taken it back to the kitchen. so I picked it up with my fingers and said take it.. paid our bill and left the steak for them to do what they wanted with it! I used to really like this restaurant; however, will never return. Today as we were waiting to pay for our meal. a veteran came to our table and told us management was kicking her out of her seat because she was there "solo. " I approached the manager and asked if she was being kicked out. The manager said she was trying to "take care of all the veterans." Well, evidently if a veteran is dining alone they are not welcome. I used my 1st amendment right and told other diners what was happening. Some guy named Alex came out and threatened me and told me to leave. I told him this event will be posted to social media and he threatened to call the cops. I told him go ahead. He followed us into the parking lot continuing to harass me. It is a shame that an establishment that claims to support vets will treat vets in this way. I am a vet and am really hurt that they would do this. I am sure that corporate will do nothing to correct the problem at this location. Our meal was not the greatest either. We had our 3 pound service dog in a concealed stroller by our table out of the way. We always order a small piece of chicken to eat in her enclosed stroller. My wife and I went to Texas Roadhouse last night with reservations. We were greeted nicely and taken to our table. After a short while we were served water and our order was taken. Salad was served and even before it was finished our entree was served. I ordered Prime Rib, medium rare and my wife ordered Dallas Filet, medium rare. Upon arrival my Prime Rare was barely cooked and my wife's Filet was medium. Thankfully my wife and I were able to switch plates and suffered thru the meal. Maybe it's my overall aspect of today's "chains". Golden Coral use to be a great place and it didn't feel like "eat until your busting and get out". Now a lot of chains just feel plastic. My friends and I had just come back from hiking Old Rag, and this place hit all the spots. I ordered a full rack of ribs with their chili and fries. Ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, but holy cow, the chili was out of this world. I would definitely recommend if you're on the fence on sides. I went to this location recently while visiting my family a few days ago while on spring break and I order the same thing every time I go to any Texas roadhouse location. upon receiving my order it was incorrect. I then asked to speak with a manager. when said manager (alex i believe) came to my table they told me I was wrong I knew immediately I wasn't wrong as I order the same thing every time. he was very unprofessional and quite rude. after reading more of these reviews I realize I am not the first to be treated poorly as a customer and I honestly believe he should be fired. Make sure you come hungry as Isaac is very attentive on the rolls and refills without needing to ask. I was impressed with the large party celebrating a 7 year old boy's birthday. I have been to Roadhouse on many occasions, most of which, have been positive. Last night was the worst dinning experience I have ever had there and probably will not go back for a long time, if ever. I realize it was a holiday, but I've worked in the service industry and our experience was inexcusable. It all started when I called ahead at 1:30 for 6 pm. They told me to call back around 4. I called back at 4 and made the 6 pm reservation and got w confirmation number. We arrived at 5:45 (15 min early like they suggested) and checked in. The people who checked in infront of us were quoted a time of 1 hr 15 min and they didn't call ahead. We were also told that time and I questioned it because we did call ahead. The hostesses assured me that it wouldn't take that long ( looking back, it was prob just to get rid of me). We went and sat at the bar and after 1hr 20min we went back up to the hostess stand at which time the manager acknowledged that they checked us in wrong. She said that she would provide some apps for our table to make up for it. We sit down (finally) and the service is sooooo slow. Our waitress was slow to get our drinks, take our order, refill our drinks, and bring us our check. Once we did put our order in, it took us 40 min (yes 40) to get our salads! After about another 30 mins pass we get our food. A very friendly waitress/manager? Brings out our food and says I know this isn't going to be right so I want you to cut into your steak while I'm here. I got the sirloin and shrimp. My shrimp were cold and my steak cooked well (I ordered it medium rare). I also ordered my steak smothered with onions and mushrooms and it didn't come out with them. My boyfriend ordered his steak medium and his was also well done. The waitress/manager put us in an order for new steaks and I have attached the picture of the pre/post steaks. It doesn't even look like the same piece of meat!!!! I finally got my right steak after most everyone at the table had already finished their meal. Finally we get the bill, and of course, I've been charged for an app that I was promised for the mistake the hostesses made when we checked in. I was also charged for the smothering of my steak which I never received (even on the second steak). Needless to say, I was angry. The waitress did take the check back and took off the mistakes, but it took 15 minutes. We still paid for our meals, which we shouldn't have because our dinning experience was horrific. We got to Roadhouse at 5:45 and didn't leave until 10:15. Unbelievable! My back was hurting by the time we left because we had been sitting for so long. 4.5 hours is entirely to long to spend at a restaurant for the meal not to be perfect. My only regret is that I didn't put up more of a fight when it came to the check. I never should of had to pay for my meal. My dinning experience was unfortunately a disaster. read more
