I haven't been to a Texas Roadhouse for so long, and I'm glad I went back finally. Still fantastic food. My husband got a steak and I got ribs. We both were in heaven with how tasty our food was. Our server was great too. Montez was his name and he had a good attitude, was friendly, and willing to joke around. He was attentive, but not overly attentive. I don't like when servers check on you every couple minutes. He let us dig into our food before asking how it was and checked back about halfway through to make sure we were good. I'd highly suggest requesting to sit in his section of he's working when you visit. All in all, we plan to go back. read more

I have been here in the past and enjoyed the atmosphere and the food but that was many years ago... My husband and I came in for lunch and were not impressed at all. Some people compare this chain to Longhorn but I think that is like comparing Ruth Chris's to steak at Denny's.... Our waitress was extremely slow even though she only had 2 tables and the place was not busy at all. I had the prime rib which was cooked perfectly but had no flavor at all. My husband was not impressed with his steak either. I can see if we came in and ordered fish at a steakhouse and it wasn't good but if steak is your game it should be at least good... The other part significantly bringing my review down is the place is just dirty and dusty. If had looked up into the rafters above us prior to starting eating we would've left before ordering our meals - that's how bad it was! The dust and dirt is literally caked onto the wood beams and hanging off. We will never be returning here. read more

I knew there were issues when I noticed some of the steaks in the display were brown, very strange. Waited 20 minutes, no service, asked for a manager who offered a free app and got a wait person who was very nice. My prime rib arrived, at least half was fat. It was inedible so I sent it back. I've been to different locations many times and have never had to send back a steak for poor quality. Took a while but got a decent replacement. Went to bathroom, very dirty, not up to roadhouse standards. While waiting for initial wait person I noticed other waitresses giving piggy back rides to other wait staff. The manager never came back to check and the waitress never cleared the salad bowls or anything else. My salad was drenched in dressing, barely edible. I noticed several bad recent reviews. After driving for hours I was glad to see a restaurant .2 miles from where I was parked on arrival. They offered takeout from an outside window which was even better! They're following all Covid precautions there. Fast service. Excellent fried pickle chips, fresh not frozen. My dinner was a grilled pork chop with green beans and steak fries. The chop was my only complaint as it was barely cooked but good seasoning so I forgave that. Onto the green beans: a bit watery but flavorful. The best part was the giant steak fries! Best Ive ever had! Side of buttermilk ranch made them the star of the show. Appreciated the free yeast rolls they gave and will share them with my kids tomorrow. This is my all time favorite steakhouse. The starting off buns are tremendously yummy! We always get seconds on those. My favorite is the sirloin 8z with grilled shrimp and a wide of cesar side and veggies. I could never be disappointed every time I dine here. Service is great, food comes out hot and fast. I am not sure if all waitresses were instructed to be so, they were mostly Southern girlish friendly. It was nice but I have to admit that it was weird to experience in the territory of "Go-F**k-Yourself" or "WTF-R-U-Looking-at" Masshole nation. As we entered, the hostess introduce us to the list of meat that they use(which was displayed in glass shelves right at the entrance). And it seems that they articulately have to mention that their bread is homemade. And indeed, it was hot and delicious. Every table has 2 cans. 1 can filled with shelled peanuts and other is for discarding the shells. This gave us an activity to keep us from being bored and impatient while waiting for the food to arrive. I had a rib eye steak. It was very delicious. I am not a big fan of steak sauce and also meat was very flavorful even without the sauce. I recommend not to use the sauce. Price is very reasonable. Most expensive entree doesn't even reach $20. Atmosphere is pretty typical family friendly franchise steakhouse. Imagine "Outbacks" replaced Aussie elements with bunch of pictures of horse pulling wagon and Willie Nelson and picture that Patrick Swayze pulling "Road House" style asskicking maneuver in the bar area. To tell you the truth, I really didn't enjoy my visit here like I thought I would. Walking up to the front door, I was amused by the sign on the front door warning about peanuts. What did we ever do before the age of PC and frivolous lawsuits? We stopped in on a week day for lunch, so there was no wait. We were greeted immediately and shown right to our seats. Our server, Jeffrey, came right over to take our drink order. There was a bucket of peanuts, and one for the empty shells waiting for us. Along with our drinks came warm biscuits with cinnamon butter. Mrs B had a strip steak, while I chose the baby back ribs. Her steak was good, cooked the way she asked. The ribs were delicious fall off the bone variety. Jeffrey was friendly and checked on us a few times throughout our visit. The country music blaring in the background was a bit much for us. Working on the city ambulance, I called ahead to place my pick up take out order. I called at 6:22pm. After being put on hold for longer than 5 minutes, I hung up. Called back and was told I would be put on hold again, I said "no, you can take my order now. I have limited time to order/pick up/eat food". An unintelligible female teenager took my order over the extremely noisy phone. I ordered only a side of cheese fries, no bacon, no chili, no meat of any kind. This order was repeated back to me, correctly. The teenage employee then asked my name 3x, getting it wrong each time. I had very little faith my order would be correct, but hung up and hoped for the best. Arrived at TRH to pick up my food at 6:53. Told the take out girl my name (Elizabeth) and she said the only to go order they had was for "Meg". Turns out it was for me and the girl taking the to go orders apparently just sucks at her job. Like a lot. I was charged $11.45 for my cheese fries, with no meat. Unless there's a week's worth of french fries in there, how in the name of all that is holy could a side of fries possibly cost more than $11?! Well little miss rang me up the entree size instead of the $6 side size I requested (and that she repeated back to me). Also, I opened the styrofoam take out container and -low and behold- my fries are smothered in dead animals (pork bacon and beef chili) despite me saying at least 3x "NO MEAT OF ANY KIND". I specifically stated "I'm a strict vegetarian". So now I'm not only aggravated that they got my name wrong, but now also I've spent $11.45 on food I can't eat. I called TRH and spoke with Mike, the manager. He apologized and asked how to make it right. He emailed me a "free app certificate". The only reason this place does not get 5 stars is because it is a chain, and I think 5 stars should be for local places with a very high reputation. Anyways on to the review... I love this place, like I stated before it's a chain so quality of food is expected to be on the low side however that is not the case, the food is always consistent and the cuts are quality for a chain like this. The quality of the steaks here has gone down hill compared to when it first opened several years ago. At my most recent visit the 8 oz sirloin was way over cooked, but most upsetting was how thin of a cut it was. It was clear my steak was reheated in the microwave due to the fact our waiter forgot to bring our appetizer, and we insisted the meal be served in order with adequate time between courses. Back to my steak, it was pale, dry and sitting in a pool of its juices, a tell tale sign it had been reheated. The waiter was willing to bring me a new steak but honestly the meal was lost at that point and my appetite zapped. A new steak would not make up for the lousy meal and poor quality we experienced. I'm kicking myself in the tush because I usually make a point to get our server's name, but it was so busy and a table near us was stirring up some drama, so I didn't get the chance. However, let me tell you this... our waitress was PHENOMENAL. She was friendly but not superficially in the "I'm going to be nice so I get a good tip" kind of way... it was genuine. She was attentive, even in the rush of the Mother's Day dinner. When I say attentive, I mean that neither our glasses nor our table was empty for the duration of our time. We left a generous tip, obviously to reflect our appreciation for the service, and this woman actually "chased" us down to thank us face to face. She was also really appreciative that we stacked our plates (all the other tables looked like all the frat boys from the 90s version of Zoo Mass ran through it), and made a point to thank us for it. Don't let the location stop you from coming here. The food is fantastic, tables and booths are clean, and the employees are well trained. Please please visit this location. The past few times I've eaten here I was highly dissatisfied. It makes me so upset because this used to be one of my favorite restaurants years ago. I went out with my family. It took over 20 minutes to get drinks (sodas!), an additional 20-30 minutes for one appetizer, and then everyone received their food and never brought mine. When I expressed my frustration to them they assured me they'd have something put together for me ASAP. 30 minutes later everyone is done eating, and I'm just getting my food. I'm a repetitive customer to this restaurant. I normally like the food and service. I always select my steak before I take my seat. This time, I selected my steak and sat at the bar. I waited more than 30 minutes for the food to come. The steak was barely warm in the middle and the inside and the fat was turning white already. The mashed potatoes was unusually cold and the gravy formed a thick skin layer on top of it. This means the food was maybe ready but was not picked up on time to be served hot. The bartender went herself to get me the food. Because no one brought it to me. When I told her the food is cold. She got me another mashed potato not nicely presented. Someone else came later to ask me how I like the food. She realized I want happy and I told her why. She suggested to make me another steak. But I didn't want to wait another long wait to get my food again. I didn't feel I was treated right from the get go. No one should be sitting and waiting this long for their food to end up served cold food. I just paid the bill and left and barely touched my steak and the rest of the food. This is really an awful experience I ever had at Texas Roadhouse in Worcester, MA. I hope the manager pays more attention to the way their customers are being served. This was by the worst dinner experience I have suffered through in a significantly long time. We waited 45 mins to be seated but that was somewhat expected on a Saturday night. The waiter was pleasant and did a terrific job engaging our table and making us feel welcome. The food took forever and the sirloins that we ordered were absolutely awful. I didn't even eat half of my main dish, let alone any of the sides. The steak fries (all 5 of them) were cold and gross. The loaded mashed potatoes were cold and disgusting. My kids all got the macaroni and not one of them could finish their plate. The macaroni tasted like pure margarine and was awful. We spent $70ish on the meal for all 5 of us but I wouldn't go back even if it had been $5. Disgusting unpleasant experience. I actually feel bad for the wait staff. Ordered curbside last night. The employees were very eager to help.. They were running back and fouth getting everyone's stuff. It was nice to see young people working with enthusiasm during this pandemic. Once they brought me my order I asked how I could get more bread (since you know the bread is the best). The employee said "I will get you more bread". She ran back in and came back out with extra bread and that lovely butter. When I got home and unpacked the food, everything was perfect and delicious! Last night my husband and 3 year old daughter went to dinner at about 445pm. From the moment we walked in we had a negative experience. The hostess was rude and very unfriendly. The dinner rolls where hard and cold as the butter was also old because it had a discolored layer on the outside. The waitress was the only positive thing. She was very friendly and attentive. My husband ordered half rack of ribs which where very dry and salty, he did not finish the 6 ribs and I had a 10 oz prime rib cooked Med. when the food arrived my steak was still Alive on the plate. When Mr Bethany and I have a date night planned and can't decide where to go -- this is where we end up. It's consistent & well priced for our budget. I like that it's kinda rowdy & loud -- sometimes I'm in the mood for that. We have found that the steaks are just as flavorful here as they have been at 111 Chophouse. My go to is usually the steak tips -- and yes, I am aware that these are generally the scraps from other steaks but they are always so good! Mr Bethany has found that he can order his favorite rib eye with a side of their peppercorn sauce ( it accompanies the pork chops usually) and *poof* he can have Texas Roadhouse steak au poirve. I've never had the adult bevies here --so I can't comment on the bar. The staff however has always been upbeat & quick. We had one instance where our meals came out 30 seconds after our salads. The waitress joked that I should eat faster-- but once we explained what happened, we were given new meals after we finished our first course ( they were completely different steaks -- still cooked perfectly). This is the restaurant I've been taking all of my kids (extended and real) for their birthdays if they venture into Worcester. It's fun, relaxed and darnit...they have PEANUTS!! If you are thinking of going at the popular times, expect a wait. It's pretty popular around these parts. The drinks are good, strong and priced decently. They have alot of appetizers, steaks, burgers and chicken dishes all done up with a cowboy flair. Sometimes you catch the waitresses doing a 2 step to Cotton Eyed Joe (I always think of Mandah when I hear that song) and you ALWAYS hear of someones birthday going off in some area. The lucky birthday person gets to sit in a saddle while they sing Happy Birthday....and no it wasn't me nor any of my kids. In all fairness my expectations for a good meal here consist of the beer being cold and a good price, some good apps (great salads & loaded baked potato's), and a hassle free dinner sitting at the bar.
