My favorite place to go get a prime rib! It's flavored uniquely, love it. And a good cut of meat. It seems most places I go to, the prime rib is bland - not here! Everything I've tried is delicious - the food is six stars! The potato sides are a bit small (come on people, potatoes are cheap!) - but tasty. The cuts of meat are pretty nice, and the free bread is DELICIOUS (mmmm, cinnamon butter!) - so you can fill up on those if you desire extra carbs. We usually order loaded fries or potato skins (both great) as an app, since we like to pig out when eating here until we can no longer move. Their drinks are standard fare - premixed margaritas bother me a little (I like to take my chances with a bartenders heavy hand) - but they are still not too bad. It's a loud restaurant - though I'm not taking any points off for that, it's sort of their thing (whether or not I like it). If it's somebody's birthday, they make a huge production and pretty much SCREAM about it to the entire place and make them ride a saddle (freaky). The screaming is a bit much. And they make the staff line dance sporadically - which I find not cute, but rather annoying (especially if you are sitting at one of the tables near the action - awkward!) Not to mention it just slows the staff down. My reason for not giving this place 5 stars is the service. It isn't bad, per se - they give you what you want and in a timely manner. But the waitstaff seems to ALWAYS be very rushed (I've eaten here maybe 10 times). Very fast, what do you want go go go sort of feeling. And the food is brought out by some kitchen gopher - which is annoying if you want something additional or there's an issue - you can never be sure if your message will make it back to your waiter. Maybe I'm too demanding, but I prefer one point of contact. If the waitstaff slowed it down a little bit (maybe stop line dancing and focus on waiting) I'd give this place 5 stars in a heartbeat. Best chain steakhouse around. It's in a safe enough but shady part of town. You'll probably not get mugged if you stay in the plaza, but you may get run over in the parking lot. Why why why? Why would anyone go here? For months the billboard on 290 said something along the lines of "voted number one restaurant ...by restaurant institutions magazine". The same people who supply our nations schools and prisons! The sad thing is, the steak I had was actually quite good. Everything else that surrounded it, from the decor to the service to the sides to the bloody banquettes were just...well...bad. This is an institutional restaurant! Nothing more, nothing less. First of all, I am a picky person when it comes to ordering steak. They are usually very expensive anywhere I have ever gone and most of the time when I order one, they are bland, over or under-cooked, and otherwise not enjoyable. This spawned me to stop going out for steak and perfecting the grilling process of steaks at home. When we came to this Texas Roadhouse in Worcester, MA, I was not expecting perfection but perfection is what we got. First the service was amazing as our waitress kept our drinks filled without asking. She also kept the rolls with the cinnamon butter spread coming. My wife ordered the chicken mushroom dish which was very good. I ordered the big boy's 16 oz steak and I topped it with mushrooms and pepper jack cheese. What I received was beyond amazing. If you live within range of this restaurant and you are looking for steak, go no place else. From now on whenever I am within range of Worcester, MA, I will go here to order that steak! read more

I went here in a bad mood, very hungry. I hate chain restaurants, country music and kitschy decor where I eat-- this place had all three plus it was ridiculously loud. You're not going here for an intimate conversation. We arrived about 545 on a Sunday night and were seated right away. The place was packed so we obviously timed it just right. In my mood I don't think a long wait would have been tolerated. We sat at a good size table that was overcrowded with peanuts, specials, sauces, to the point that I asked the waitress if another table comes with our dinner. She was upbeat and attentive and took my humor seriously and cleared off some room. Walking in the raw steaks are on display and you can hand pick yours if you want-- a great sign for a steak place. I ordered a 6oz sirloin and a side of steak fries and a house salad. The rolls were hot and fresh and the butter was whipped and had a touch of honey. I was rolling my eyes over the place when the salad came and it was an easy third base hit-- fresh and inventive with nice bits of egg and cheese on it. Dressing was on the side as I asked for it and it was a great start. My steak came right after-- cooked exactly Medium-- hot pink in the middle and it was like butter. I've eaten in five star restaurants all over the world and this was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Huge surprise overall-- but for the other reviewers-- don't come to a steakhouse and order chicken. This is a steak house. Do you complain at McDonald's because the fish sandwich is awful? Shame on you! ;) Best of all-- I left not feeling like I'd just swallowed a baby calf-- the portions were absolutely perfect. I chose this restaurant for my first review because it's currently my favorite place to eat and it's always nice to be able to say something positive about a place. My wife and I first started going to the Texas Roadhouse in Worcester, MA about a year ago and really liked the place a lot. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a drive to the Worcester location so we didn't get there too often. Recently, a new location opened up in Leominster, a few miles from our house and we've had a chance to try it out a few times in the last couple of months. I'd like to review a number of dishes on the menu, but since I've become addicted to their ribs and haven't had the desire to try anything else, this review will be pretty limited in scope. To put it simply, the Texas Roadhouse ribs are probably the best I've ever had. They're tender pork ribs with a slightly sweet but tangy barbeque sauce that gives them the perfect flavor. I usually have the full slab, which currently go for $16.99 and includes two side dishes. The choice of side dishes include, baked potato, sweet potato, chili, house salad, Caesar salad, apple sauce, vegetables, mashed potatoes, rice, green beans, baked beans and steak fries. Again, being a creature of habit (if I find something I like, I stick with it), I've always selected the Caesar salad and the baked potato for my sides. The Caesar salad is absolutely wonderful. They give you a good size salad portion and the Caesar dressing is unlike any other that I've ever tried. It has a hint of mustard flavor, which doesn't sound good on paper, but in reality is quite delicious. This may not be a Caesar salad for purists, but for me it's just perfect. With my baked potato, I splurge and pay the additional $1.19 to get it "loaded". The extra money buys you cheese, sour cream and bacon bits which is the only way to eat a baked potato in my opinion. In addition to your meal, Texas Roadhouse supplies unlimited peanuts and sweet rolls with what I believe is butter infused with cinnamon. The rolls are excellent and if you're not careful, you might find yourself full before you even start eating your meal. Also watch out for peanut shells. They're all over the place and could be a danger if you're wearing slippery shoes. There are a couple of downsides to this place that have nothing to do with the food. First, it is always crowded. If you don't call ahead you might find yourself waiting for over an hour to get a seat. This is a pain, but I guess it's just the price to be paid for quality of the food. The second problem is noise. The place is loud. The music is loud, the background noise is loud and they do that damn birthday thing where the staff comes out, yells at the top of their lungs and sings a birthday song to the victim. I really hate this practice and find it annoying that so many places seem to do it now a days. I probably should find a better class of restaurant to frequent. In spite of the negatives, the food more than makes up for it and I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good meal at reasonable prices. read more

We gave this place a shot a few weeks ago. Wow, was it crowded! We had to wait for awhile to be seated, but it appeared to be a fun atmosphere at least. When we finally did sit, the waitress explained the menu to us. The Valentine's day combo's didn't really save you all that much money, and were a bit misleading.. only one of the combo prices was listed (the least expensive). Anyway, I decided on a T-bone, and my wife went with the prime rib. As I always do when I have good steak, I order it RARE, and given that the menu rated rare as a "cool red center", I figured I'd be safe. No such luck - it was medium-rare. Granted, I could have just chowed down, but I did order rare, and it was our first time there, so I sent it back. A real rare steak was delivered 10 minutes later or so by one of the managers, and was much better than the one I sent back. Anyway, the food was good (not great), but the prices, imho, were. Definitely a good food value here.. food and drinks for my wife and I and our 3 kids came to ~$80ish... that's not too bad for a steakhouse! The service was very good too.. the waitress was attentive and friendly, even after I sent the steak back. So.. we'll be back. It's not the One-Eleven, and I definitely miss Cactus Pete's... but it's good. Oh yeah... the roasted peanuts and peanut shells all over the floor were a plus! :D BTW, if the line is out-the-door as it normally is, give the sushi place next door (Kyoto) a shot - not the best in Worcester, but definitely not the worst either. read more

This is by far my most favorite restaurant EVER! Such a great selection for reasonable prices. The staff definitely doesn't not disappoint! They are all super friendly and professional. This visit to the Texas Roadhouse started out very well. The staff was friendly and we were seated after a very short wait. Our server arrived immediately to take a drink order and brought them quickly, but we had to ask for menus. Again, the server was quick and efficient and brought rolls and butter to the table when he took our order. These were delicious - hot from the oven and the cinnamon honey butter was the perfect compliment. For dinner, my husband had a rib eye steak with baked potato and a side salad and I had a sirloin with chili and green beans. The chili was very disappointing. It seemed to be just beans and ground beef in a watery sauce with cumin. The spice level was fine, but not special. Our server informed me that there was bacon in the green beans which I thought was great. What isn't better with bacon? I'll tell you what - their green beans! They were way over cooked to the point of being soggy, had two tiny bits of bacon and an overwhelming liquid smoke flavor that made them inedible. On the other side of the table, my husband's salad was fresh, crisp and larger than expected for a side salad with an adequate amount of dressing and his baked potato was as it should have been. And then came the steak - ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!! They were both cooked to order (medium rare), were juicy and very tender. My only complaint was the liquid smoke from the beans stayed on my taste buds and made the flavor less than it should have been. I cannot compliment the wait staff enough. They were all pleasant, efficient and friendly which is so rare these days and made it worth going back. I will, however choose different sides next time. read more

I have eaten at other Texas Roadhouse restaurants and the food was very good. I think the issue with this one is management and the employees. I was with my family and ordered the cup of chili and after 3 spoonfuls noticed a very hard object in my mouth. It was a large piece of bone about 1/2 inch in length and sharp enough to cut paper. I called the server over and showed her and she basically told me that was to be expected as they hamburger their own beef for the chili. I told her she was wrong and that I could have been seriously injured had I ingested that. She asked if I wanted another bowl and I said I wanted to leave. After more useless discussion and my attempts to get a manager over which were useless we left. I would stay clear of this place. read more

Had lunch with my wife and 3 year old yesterday. Was pretty disappointed. The cup of chili was room temperature. My cheeseburger, which I asked to have medium well, was mostly pink and slightly raw in the middle. My wife was happy with her steak lunch. Also, it's fairly family friendly in terms of booster seats and kids menu options; but they do not have paper menus or crayons for toddlers, just FYI. They still have peanuts on the table, which was fun. Not horrible, but not great - I'd rather go to a number of other places for a $10 cheeseburger. read more

I've never had a complaint regarding the food or service. In my opinion, its always great. My issue is the noise level and the line dancing right next to me as I'm trying to enjoy my time with or without the kids and my meal. Last night, whatever jig they were put up to performing included stomping or banging on the wall so it was a higher level nuisance. Overall my experience was a good one at the Texas Roadhouse last night. We arrived at the restaurant and were welcomed right away and brought to a table for four. We were given a high top booth in the lounge area next to the bar. Even though it took a bit for our waitress to come over she was friendly, suggested favorite items and was very attentive throughout our meal. It was busy around 6pm so I understand things can happen and a greeting could be delayed but she did walk by at one point and tell us she would be over in a minute. They forgot our potato skins for an app so we did have to wait another 10 minutes for those which was displeasing, but, we had bread and other apps for the kids so it was alright. I had never been there before, but my friend had with the 2 kids. I had the country chicken which was delicious. I was happy with my experience and Brittany, our waitress, was great. read more

Had an excellent meal here the other evening. My steak was excellent, as was the salad. Service was fantastic. I sat in the bar area, and it as somehow quieter there than in the main part of the restaurant. As any fan of Texas Roadhouse knows, the place can get pretty loud. One thing I noticed about this place was that there weren't as many peanut shells on the floor as there usually are in other Texas Roadhouses. I would certainly visit here again when in the area. read more

I love the Texas Roadhouse! Very laid back "come as you are" which is nice when you just want to blow off steam and grab a bite. Also good for family or a group of friends. Steak is only OK... I wouldn't go there for the steak with so many other options in the area. But the BBQ offerings are quite good for a chain! Particularly the ribs. They steam them prior to the BBQ bake so they literally fall off the bone tender and juicy. I have eaten every half rack ever ordered there with fork only ... no need to pick it up. Sauce is mildly sweet but the best attribute is definately the succulent tender meat. Portion size on these are quite good too! They have sides for those like me who like to indulge. Usually I go with "loaded" sweet potato ( baked with molasas and marshmellows ) and a creamy ceasar salad. Occasionally I'll get a skewer of cajun shrimp app but most of the time I'm still stuffing my face with the fresh bread they give you when seated. It's literally steaming and moist out of the oven; with a cinamon sugar butter to slather on it and melt away. I'm always full when I leave and I'll have eaten so many sweets in the midst of my meal I rarely crave dessert. And for me that's saying something! read more

So I've only been to Texas roadhouse once I will say the bread and butter is amazing I will definitely be back for that. Now as far as the rest of the experience staff was ok at best not very friendly or Attentive. The food was ok but the appetizers had like black burned bits of substance from the fryer wasn't very appealing but tasted alright. After seeing how are appetizers looked we didn't order Entrees so I can't review those. All in all I might visit here again but just for bread n beer drafts. read more

I think cell phone etiquette needs help these days.. but that guy must have had a screw loose if he thought that was going to get him a decent tip. I've been here and had steak of course but also come here for a chicken Caesar salad... (don't ask) and been just as satisfied. Overall very happy with most menu selections and they do give you free peanuts. The shells on the ground are a welcome addition to the quirkiness of Texas Road house... however there always seems to be someone sweeping it up all the time? For drinks, I suggest any of the inexpensive beers (Sam Summer was around 3 bucks!) and the Margaritas ... quite delicious. Oh and no morning steakies... they don't open till 3:30! It's a fairly run of the mill steakhouse. Nothing special. The steaks aren't seasoned that well so they're bland but they seem to be able to get a good medium rare doneness down. Their rolls were decent though. I ordered one of their chicken dishes that had gravy on it. It was tasty and they gave me a ridiculously huge portion so I had enough for a second meal later. I had the rice pilaf on the side which was very unimpressive. It was that parboiled funky rice you get from really cheap places. My husband had a sirloin that was bland and tough. But it was nice and pink on the inside. All in all, the meal was nothing to write home about. You could probably make a better steak at home for a lot less money. read more

I had zero expectations as the parking lot was full of exclusively American pickup trucks. We rolled up in a blue 1993 Saab, and folks just looked at us funny. Then we went inside. We were lucky enough to be seated in the bar area, they cleaned a table just for us. Ridiculously friendly service and ridiculously ridiculous portions. Standard meat and potatoes Country music. We went on Valentine's Day and it was packed, but the food and service was exceptional! We were told it would be a 35-40 min wait and it only ended up being about 10 minutes. The server (Liz W) was very attentive and almost anticipated every request we had before we could even ask. She asked about every little topping that typically comes on their salads and chili (and even down to the cinnamon on the apple sauce) to make sure it was going to be to our liking. This place has their takeout game perfected! You order online, they tell you when it will be ready. Go there, pull up and respond to the text you got and they tell you if you are good to come in (it's ready!) They pack every meal with care, toppings are in their own separate containers, exactly how you would want. Get a baked potato? You have butter and sour cream on the side! We come here pretty often, but usually before 5:30PM. Because it's always crowded and from Monday to Thursday before 5:30PM they have good deal dinner set only $15.99 for two people. Most of their food are delicious, I especially like their yummy bread and house salad with honey mustard dressing. I go here frequently. The rolls are great. The steaks and ribs are fantastic. Never had a bad server here. They keep the atmosphere in a good mood with the dancing and try getting others involved. They are right there when it comes to refills and and taking empty plates out of the way. All the food here is great.the only thing is the peanuts. I have two kids who likes to taste the salt off the shell and that freaks me out, because of the open barrel in the front of the restaurant, that EVERYONE digs into. The prices are great too.
