I had a really great time , this is my first time going to one in America , I went to the one in Canada . The service is amazing everyone was super sweet and helpful . The place is pretty big it was Alot of people but not overly crowded, it didn't get uncomfortable until the seating though they are like old theater style chairs for the first few rows which I would prefer that we could choose our own seating ,but I was grateful I was in the front row not grateful I was touching elbows with a stranger but it was okay we drank and we cheered it was such a good show. The food was okay , the potatoes will always be my favorite the chicken was okay as well but I remembered the food tasting better in the Canada medieval times . I definitely want to come back.

So glad I finally got to experience Medieval Times! It's definitely a worthwhile event and truly fun for all ages. When you check in, you get a complimentary crown and are randomly assigned a team based color to root for (6 total teams). Seating is first come first serve so it does help to get there a bit earlier if you want to sit a bit closer, unless you pay extra for the front row seating. I love the competitive nature of this place and it feels like a genuine sporting event. You can order drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) before the show and choose a custom merch cup/mug with the medieval times logo to take home. Once the show / event begins, waitstaff serve the pre selected dinner courses in specific order: garlic bread and tomato soup to start, then roast chicken (bone in), herb encrusted baked potato (half of a potato) and corn on the cob. Lastly for dessert, you receive a chocolate eclair. Important to note there are no utensils provided, but you get wet wipes for cleaning your hands. I had such a fun time because the actors put on quite an impressive show and you get to take pics with the actors afterwards in the main hall. The duration of the event is about 1 hour and 45 min total. They also do fun things if it's your birthday with shoutouts and birthday items given.

First time at Medieval Times with some friends for a book club outing! It was really fun, I had no real expectations except for my experiences at Renaissance festivals so I was pleasantly surprised. The show was entertaining, the venue was clean, large, and definitely makes you feel like you're in a castle. The food was honestly very good! I was not expecting much since themed restaurants can be hit or miss with the food but the roast chicken was juicy, tender, and flavorful. The tomato soup was hot and delicious. The baked potato and corn were well seasoned and cooked well. The dessert was a frozen chocolate eclair and although it could have been thawed out more, I still enjoyed it as a sweet ending to a great time. The drinks were also delicious with a decent amount of alcohol. Service was great, our server really played the part of a "serf" and was friendly and attentive. There was a good mix of families, cos players, dates, etc so we didn't feel out of place since we had assumed it was majority families who come here. Overall I would go again! It was a great time!

    Ready for the show!

The experience and show was great minus one huge issue. Paid extra to have vip seating only to be sat where they store the scooped poop or poop tools. We had to endure eating with the foul horse poop smell the entire time. That was not enjoyable nor I feel something that should be anywhere close if you are paying extra for prime seating. I get what the show is but that's unacceptable and something I feel can be easy remedied. Other than that, the show was good and length enough to entertain the kids. The food was ok, would love to see actual options implemented to better accommodate kids.

This was for the kids more than adult. I went with my family including nieces and nephew. The kids LOVED IT. The single cousins were bored out of our minds. Food sucked. They don't give you utensils so you have to eat with your hands. They didn't bring the sides with the chicken, it came after and I was annoyed. I needed potato and corn with my chicken! The eclair dessert was so sweet. Food was either too salty or too sweet. Expensive for what it is. I did it once for the experience but I will not go back bc it's not my thing

We celebrated Mother's Day at Medieval Times! We got the Royalty package (the least expensive add on) and had lots of fun! It was expensive and the food was only so-so. But, the service was great, the entertainment was pretty awesome, and the drinks were strong so we ended up having a good time. It was totally kid friendly, too-in case you have kids. I'm not sure I'd rush to do it again anytime soon but it was a fun experience.

5 out of 5 show - the actors do an amazing job at really setting the scene and put on a great show! The food all gives "bought at walmart" BUT nonetheless still tasty! Staff was organized and quick to swap out food to fit the show. Such a lovely experience!

Booking it online was simple. I suggest going early to see everything like the pre show, the falcon up close and personal, the horses, and staying afterwards to meet the knights. We went early not to miss anything and to take as many pictures as we can. I must say the adults were more into it then the kids. Perhaps since we went after 7pm. I must say that my family experienced some racism from one of the servers. Where he assumed our race and said something in passing to another server expecting to be out of earshot. Since you're a minority yourself shouldn't you know better? The manager was called and they assured us that he would be moved to a different area. Since we were celebrating a birthday a shoutout was given to appease our group. Slices of cake were given to us as well. Not much else was done for us. I'm not sure what happened to the employee afterwards. Everyone else was super nice. But I feel like they should do some staff training on inclusivity, and what is and isn't allowed to be said around your customers.

Really love this experience. Me and my boyfriend went to celebrate our birthdays. I got the upgraded VIP royalty which was just priority seating. It was first come first serve and I bought a knighting ceremony for my bf. The ceremony includes meeting the king and queen, being knighted, taking pictures, they announce your title for everyone to cheer too and also announce a happy birthday to the crowd before the show starts. He loved it. You also gift a small gift for the ceremony and can upgrade the gift you want for a discounted charge. The souvenirs aren't cheap.. so if you expect to buy anything be prepared to spend money. Over all we spent about $150 on 3 items. The food - my bf got the regular dinner which was chicken a potato, corn, coffee, a soda, and a dessert. The chicken was super dried. The dessert was overly sweet and the coffee had no flavor. I got a vegan meal (which was also gluten free) - which was a 3 bean soup that also had rice, carrots and potatoes. It was really good! I also got hummus and carrots, celery. For dessert they have me an Italian ice. I also got the potato and corn and coffee. The potato was well seasoned and so was the corn. I really enjoyed my meal. The show was great which has a story line if you pay attention. It was about 2 hours long. There wasn't a wow moment for me but it was nice to experience this once. I also loved how everyone stayed in character even when I needed to ask for directions or accommodations due to my food restrictions. The only thing I didn't like were how close the seats were together. There is no personal space. But I do feel like everyone should experience this at least once

Highly recommend coming with a group of friends or bring your kids. Such an entertaining activity and the knights are all so talented. You really are transformed back in time. The food is medieval themed and is decent. The drinks are good though. Very on theme. Would definitely come back for a good time. Parking can be a little hard but if you time it after a show, there's plenty of room.

VIP in the green knights corner.

Make sure you eat a small appetizer before you come, if you attend the 7 pm showing. Dinner isn't served until closer to 8 and that feels like an eternity when you are hungry lol. The food is great. I do wish you got more than one piece of toast with your soup. We didn't ask for extra so they may have given us one had we done so. Everything they serve is so flavorful. From the roasted chicken leg quarters to the corn to the potatoes and soup is so hearty and filling. Be sure to keep in mind they serve food to be eaten with your hands like in the medieval times. The show, of course was so awesome! Lots of action, the horses perform beautifully and the actors our super committed to their roles. It was an amazing evening!!

I am a medieval fanatic. I love watching Game of Thrones and this activity reminded me of all of that. The entire atmosphere is 1800 the customs, the language, the food, the ambience all gives off that game of thrones vibe. The show is very exciting and entertaining. The food truly reminds me of medieval times we had such a great time. The menu is simple but very delicious chicken baked potato corn on the cob very simple but very flavorful. The customer service is very good. Everyone is pleasant. Everyone is smiling and everyone is willing to help. Ensure your experience is joyful. I recommend this for a date night or even a fun family event. It's kid friendly one thing I will share is that all of the food is eaten with your hands so I recommend bringing some plastic forks in your bag if you're not the type to eat with your hands, the true experience is eating with your hands, but for those of us ladies with really nice nails who don't want food caught under your nails, bring your own silverware. The seating is very tight. That's the only negative you sit very close to your neighbor, but other than that overall it is a true medieval experience

None of these people know who each other are LMAO

My little cousin plays basketball. Well, he's on the bench really, but we support no matter what. One day I jokingly told him "bro if you get in a game and get 10 points, I'll take you to medieval times" never has he even suggested going somewhere as crazy at it sounded, we made it a thing. Lowe and behold one day, this guy actually scored 10 points. So right after that, I called up every human I could think of and we went. Mind you none of these people know who he is or why we are there. But we were all united under a single banner. Cousinly love. Oh but the place is mid asf LMAO but that's not what this is ABOUT

Ask the Community - Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament

    Do the servers dress up?

    Oh yeah of course.

Do people typically dress up in Medieval costumes? *I see the answer from 2018 but am wondering if…

Hi there - our group didn't since we were from out of town and didn't pack for it. However, it would be fun to dress up and everyone attending would love it!!

Is the Torture Museum gone for good? I've probably been to MT Dallas about 20 times since it opened, and I was sad to see it closed on our last visit. I realize they closed it for Covid concerns, but why is it still closed?

I don't recall seeing a "torture museum". So I believe it was still closed.

Would the show be too intense for a almost 4 year old?

It REALLY depends on the child and his/her attention span because the action and fighting is not constant. He/she might get a little bored during the speaking parts. I recently took 2 six year olds and had to continuously remind them to stop goofing… Read more

    Does meal included?

Yes. Ticket price includes the show and meal, which is comprised of soup, bread, entree and side, dessert, and non-alcohol drink. Alcohol is available for purchase.

My girlfriend was planning on taking me here when I visit Texas and she told me I should dress up. What do y’all think?

Everyone wears jeans/tees basically but you do you! If she wants to dress up that sounds fun. No one will mind either way.

Do they have a kids menu?

The kids get the same food as everyone else, the only other option is vegetarian

Is there a different menu for kids? Chicken fingers?

The kids with us got the same exact meal, which is good because they are good eaters.

Can I bring my 14m old baby and how much for her ticket?

A children under 3 that sits on parents lap and eat off their parents plate are free. There was not room for a stroller where we sat. It is stadium seating long single row of seats with long narrow table in front. We had 2 kids, one just under 3… Read more

We will be going later this month for the first time, is the general admission alright or should we upgrade?

General admission is totally fine. The upgrade gets you a flag, front row seats, and maybe a picture session. Which we still have to buy.

The event was held at a hotel downtown Dallas in one of the conference rooms. The event had a cash bar (cocktails and beer), and a four course meal. There were pass hors d'oeuvres before the event began. Once you were seated at your assigned table, they began the meal with a salad. The croutons were stale. I didn't touch my salad after a few bites. For the entree, we had a choice between fish or chicken, so my fiancé and I ordered one of each. For our event, the option was a grilled salmon with a side of broccolini, or grilled chicken breast with a side of house potatoes. Overall, the entrees were better than expected, but nothing to really rave about. For dessert, they sliced up 4 different types of cakes for each person to sample. They were pretty standard. The venue had valet parking, but you can find a spot via SpotHero to self park. The men and women ("detectives") leading the mystery hunt made the whole night enjoyable! This is a PG-13 event and there were some inappropriate jokes tossed round. We laughed so much, and got to meet a lot of nice people! FYI, you will need to get out of your seat to "interrogate" the people in the room to try to figure out who the "killer" is. There are actors and actresses hidden within the audience, which made it so much more fun!

We arrived a bit early, so we grabbed a couple of drinks while waiting for the rest of our group. I ordered a double Tito's and cranberry--it was made perfectly and definitely hit the spot. Once we headed inside, it looked like seating was first-come, first-served, but we had opted for the VIP tickets. Having those reserved spots gave us a fantastic view of the stage; I highly recommend going the VIP route if you can! The show itself was top-tier. The openers had great sets that really warmed up the room, and then the "Queen" herself, Kelly Kells, took the stage. It has been a long time since I've laughed that hard! I was so grateful we chose this night to head out. In terms of the venue, everything was clean and well-maintained. The staff was impressive--they were super on top of it and got our food and drink orders out to us quickly despite the crowd. I'd definitely come back for another show!

Front door, bar tender, tour guide etc all so funny and kind which is why we'll be back for a show even though not for this tour. First of all, this is advertised online as a 75 minute tour. So when we ended after 45 minutes I was a bit disappointed to say the least. Barely 45 minutes too as we stopped once for a "photo op in a mural tunnel" and again go tell our own ghost stories to each other. It was also advertised as a funny comedic ghost tour with lots of stories. Our guide tried his best at some jokes about his ex Tammy, which were cute, but really struggled with the ghost aspect. There really weren't any ghost stories. He kept referencing the "broken hearts tour" as if we were going to hear some tortured stories of relationships, but we didn't. Additionally, we signed up for the "Hidden Hauntings Ghost Walk". So I think they've got a little bit too much going on to be well organized enough to coordinate this as a success. The EMFs were a bit gimmicky but what was worse was the fact that it was during the bright daylight? The vibe was strange but again, the staff were so kind so we didn't walk away upset ‍. Tl:dr ghost tour not as advertised but staff were nice enough that I'm sure other things they do are fun.

The burger was juicy and the sweet potato fries were solid. They've got an amazing diverse burger menu and I can see why it's a local favorite. Would definitely come back again.
