Finding a carpet repair company turned out to be hard, but most other companies were responsive and said they don't do that work--I respect them getting back to me and I will Not review them. I take exception to The Carpet Specialist who failed to respond to numerous inquiries. What does that say if you hire them and they need to come back? Will they "ghost you?"

They said they would turn my invoice into the office then they would email me and it's been over a week. I called them a few days later and the lady never picked up and now the phone call goes straight to voicemail. The address listed for this business is an apartment which I believe is illegal to run a business from a residence. I'm assuming they are dodging tax by not providing me a receipt. I really need this receipt as we sold our home and need to provide to the new buyer. I have a couple of stars because they did a pretty good job. I will report them to the BBB for not providing an invoice as well as running a business from a residence. Also I thought they charged a bit high for the amount of work that they did. I would definitely get an estimate and shop around before using them in the future, especially if you need warranty or an invoice.

We went with Sam (the owner) for over 3500sq ft of hardwood, a job worth well over 26,000$. Sam has his hardwood jobs installed by his nephew Mac. Within the one week he took to install our hardwood, Mac's employees: - Stole alcohol from us - Urinated all over the bathroom, everywhere but the toilet - Asked our daughter about specifically how many men are around her and living in the home From the work itself it's been two weeks, we have uneven floors (after spending 3000$ worth of floaters/ leveling), hardwood planks popping up and slicing your feet as you walk by, cracking hardwood, uneven staining, unbalanced stairs, rotting quarter round, large paint stains on our front steps and backyard patio, oil stains from Macs truck on our brand new driveway. When I brought this up to Sam when delivering the final payment, his charm and kindness abruptly took a u-turn and he screamed at me from the top of his lungs like a distressed animal. He refused to warranty his work, which is similar to other peoples review. His exact words were "you don't know me" and "I'm going to do something about you" ...whatever that means. I have the audio recording of him screaming and saying all this. Our deal with Sam was to pay him cash directly as we can get a receipt of payment instead of paying the installers. On the last day of work his nephew FORCED his way into our home with a crowbar and hammer and threatened to smash all the wood unless I personally gave him cash payment right then and there of the remaining 7% of the balance with no option of receipt, with a hammer and crowbar in his hand about to strike me. Fort Bend County police were called and Mac left before they arrived, they documented his harassment. Stay away from this business if you care about quality or experience of any degree.

Jairo was easy to get in touch with and arrived early for the repairs. He showed a lot of care in his work and he made sure I was satisfied with the repair before packing up for the day. Both carpet repaired areas look brand new now and match my other carpet areas again.
