First time I made an appointment with them I got an old lady with shorter hair. I got shellac and she did well but it started to peel less than 24 hours later. I called in and Tiffany said to come in right away and she would fix them. She did at no charge and it was perfect for 2 weeks. I go to Tiffany for my nails. So far she's done two fills and each time they have been perfect! The complimentary drinks are an added bonus. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.... I came in yesterday to get my gel/shellac redone. First time I have coming to this place and I had high hopes because I had multiple tell me this was the best place they had come to. So first red flag I had was when I noticed the older lady I had didn't buff down my original shellac before she put the acetone on it, she filed it for about 2 seconds and the. Put the cotton ball soaked in acetone on my fingers. Well after only 2 minutes she came back and started with my pinky... It was NOT ready but she proceeded to RIP off my old shellac with the tools completely ruining my real nail underneath and breaking my nail to the nail bed.. She then had the nerve to ask me if I wanted my nails SHORT!!! REALLY?! I told her "Seems like I don't have a choice anymore." She looked at me and asked again, so yes you want them all short.... AGAIN.. She then proceeded to My next finger, this time I told her it was hurting me so she let them sit for a bit longer and move to check my other nail.... She only waited for a few more minutes and then decided it was long enough and then ripped off as much as she could and filed off the rest... I began to get so frustrated that I literally began to cry. CRY!! All my beautiful long nails had been ripped off the nails underneath were now all uneven and ragged.. She had attempted to file them but filed my nails into points!!! She got up and a younger woman sat down and began to take care of me. At this point I was just ready to get out of there.. My nails are now wavy and have bubbles where she didn't wait long enough between coats, the tips are harsh where they were not filed enough... They still had the nerve to charge me me full price. FYI im a guy, so my experience is limited by the fact I don't get my nails painted. Been going monthly for years to keep feet clean, just moved to area and was looking for new spot. I asked for the delux, the lady said delux, she talked to her friend next to her in their foreign language and I heard them say delux. Instead I got a bill for 35 (delux-55) and told I was done. As far as the pedicure, my feet look cleaner but not as clean as prior pedicures. But then again she took almost 10min to complete my pedicure. I'd give them 1 star but I did walk in and was treated right away. For the most part they all seemed very friendly, but nice doesn't replace poor work. Now i'll have to go somewhere else to get it done right and pay more. There was a lot of things lacking at this facility that seem status quo. The neighboring stores are still being built which makes me guess this is a very new family/friend owned store. I'd give them a couple years before trying again, maybe by that time they will have learn to run their business. read more

Came in over Valentine's Day weekend in need of a shellac pedicure and a shellac manicure. Brought my 10 yr old daughter along for her 1st big girl pedi too. They were quick to get us seated for the pedi's and quick to set me up for my prior shellac removal. Gave my daughter a water & myself a margarita. The pedi was awesome. They have a gorgeous chandelier and the ceiling is Tiffany blue. The shellac colors are abundant (and all brand new!) they carry OPI, CND and 2 other shellac brands (more than most places!!). My only complaint is the area that they do the manicures/nails is the lighting. They only have these little table lamps so it's hard to see. Excellent nail salon! I work in this area but don't live here so I didn't know any nail place in this area , so I tried them out. I needed to get my nails done during my lunch break, they accommodated me on short notice ! I got the paraffin deluxe pedicure which was great and gel manicure , Vicky is excellent! Tiffany did an amazing job on the gel manicure for my hands, and so fast too. I highly recommend them, ill definitely be a regular customer. Love this place read more

Visited Texy Nails twice. 1st was just due to the name and 2nd time really wanted a good manicure. I did not have to wait long before I got called back and they offered me a drink. This is my third time coming to this little gem and I've had no problems. A lot of nail salons are touch and go on quality but this place is consistent. It's on the small side but I go during off times so as to avoid any crowd of Saturday morning or Friday evening groups. My nails look great, they take their time and they are reasonably priced, cheaper than the big Forum Nails who actually give hit and miss quality and long waits. I was excited to bring my two sisters for a pedi, made a reservation at 6pm. We were not acknowledged by anyone. There was a sign-on terminal, but it only would select walk in. It's safe to say I've been searching for a nail salon since I moved to Schertz in November 2013. I found one that I liked, and started making appointments to ensure I was helped by the same man. I stopped going there because my last appointment was not with him. So I started searching AGAIN. I found a few ladies that I liked, but was disappointed with their selection of gel/shellac polish colors. I had heard about Texy Nails on a yard sale page on Facebook, and checked out the reviews here on Yelp. After reading through some of the reviews, and seeing the photo of the gel polish collection they have, it was a no brainer that I had to try them. I was NOT disappointed. I was a walk-in pedicure and manicure, and was seated in a pedicure chair as soon as I finished picking out my colors. This salon as THE largest collection of gel polish I have ever seen. More than the last three salons I've tried put together!! And their regular nail polish collection is also large. All of the staff was friendly and accommodating. I chose the Deluxe Pedicure and was very happy with the service. I got a shellac manicure and the only thing I wasn't pleased with was there wasn't a lotion hand massage! But other than that, I was completely satisfied with the services, the cleanliness of the salon, the polish color selection, and the prices. i usually have a wonderful experience at texy nails . the last time i had got them done kevin did them he did coffin acrylics and he was absolutely phenomenal and he made sure to clean up all the dead skin on my cuticle area as well .he was wonderful. today i got the same acrylic coffin but today i had helen she overall did a great job except for the fact that she cut my cuticle so bad to the point that it was bleeding and continued she had put this oil on my cuticle area and it started to get so hot and i didn't request it and when she finished my nails had what i think is acrylic remnants. i will be requesting kevin next time i go . read more

I started going to Texy about 5 years ago. I started out with Mike and he left then I was with Lee for 2 years and she left. I was a little discouraged after my second person left so I started hoping around nail shops. I didn't find another nail place quite like Texy. A year and half ago I came back and found Winnie! Oh my! There is a young girl who periodically works at the front reception desk. She must be related to someone because she certainly wasn't hired for her customer service skills or knowledge. She is downright rude, inattentive, and ignorant to prices and services offered. When I paid for services for my mother and myself, and added a tip, the girl says, "That's just the tip for you, right?" Dropping $140.00 was insult enough. Apparently, the $16.00 tip I added wasn't sufficient to her. Also, I paid for a higher level pedicure for the 10 minute massage. Yeah, that lasted about 4 minutes and when I objected, Kevin acted like he didn't understand me. The few people I have had work on me over the past three visits are not very friendly. I noticed that the pedi tub logs hanging on the wall are blank. Do they not clean them?? And if they do, why aren't they documenting that? They do have tons of shellac colors. Location is convenient but for the prices they charge and service they provide, I can go elsewhere. read more

This place is cool I think I just did not end up with the right nail technician my friends nails were on point I thought mine were... I don't usually get my nails done so I'm not the best judge but I do have to say I spent a lot of money here on gels and left a hefty tip to have my gels start chipping 2 days later while applying makeup I'm no nail pro or anything but I don't think the tips are supposed to chip the way they did also the nail tech was scraping the gel off my nails a tactic I've never seen done before usually they just soak them off for 30 min or at least that's what I've experienced every other time I've gotten gels not scrapping them off and damaging my existing nails. After they grew out a bit the part near my cuticles started lifting due to the gel not being cleaned properly off my skin. I want to go back but I want to try another nail tech. read more
