Yesterday I had an appointment that I made the day before. I got a call the day of saying that they had to reschedule because they were low on staff. I needed a wheel alignment, which they only use 1 staff for anyway. Today I walked in for my appointment that was rescheduled from yesterday. I was told I wasn't on the schedule and couldn't be seen and that my new appt was on Friday. This is the 3rd time it's happened. I'm tired of it. I've never had these issues in Otsego. My alignment is horrible and I have to drive long distances to work, it's wondering and steering stiff. I was really relying on them this week. Now I have to come in tomorrow on my gym day after work. I can look forward to not seeing my family tomorrow.

They did a full diagnostic and let me know what all needed attention but stayed focused on my immediate needs and got my vehicle back on the road. Yes, service is requested to replace the rivets with black rivets that all match and are flush with…read morethe wheel trim. Tires Plus apparently slapped on whatever they could find at the time. Rivets within wheel well skirt were simply left off and not reinstalled. The wheel well skirt is loose and flopping around. Nearly $1,400 in shock replacement work done and this is the best they could do? Not acceptable. We called after noticing the white rivets. The person at the front desk denied any knowledge of anything. Lastly, after replacing all four shocks and all four tires with brand new tires, we were told by the manager Damian that the "Jeep Death Wobble" would stop. A month later It did not stop and was just as bad as before all of the above was replaced. We found a reputable and knowledgeable mechanic who replaced the tie rods. That has fixed the Jeep "Death Wobble." Tires Plus should have recommended that we go to a mechanic that could have checked the tie rods first before Tires Plus charged $1,400 to replace the shocks. Replacing the shocks AND the tires DID NOT solve the problem. The root cause of the problem was the tie rods. We wonder now if Tires Plus did a shotty job installing all four shocks?

He said the Progressive hadn't notified him that I would be coming. Even with that set back things got set in motion pretty quickly. He reached out to the technician who would be doing my inspection. The technician happened to be running late, but upon his arrival he wrapped up the inspection very quickly. Progressive had me block out an 8am-9am time slot on my calendar and I was out of there by 8:45am! The technician was super friendly. He chatted with me for about 10 minutes after he completed the inspection. He walked me through what points caused him to achieve his end results, and also gave me some advice on auto body issues unrelated to the incident. I was going to be giving this place a two or three star review due to how the experience started, but the efficiency and friendliness of the technician really turned the whole scenario around!

Although this time I brought it to a reputable shop to have the work done as: 1. Bernings doesn't honor their work, no warranty. 2. I didn't want to go through the same issue I had with the rear axle, paying for repairs and then repeated failures. 3. I' wanted the work done right. The universal joint that was replaced at Bernings turned out to be the incorrect part which then of course failed. In addition, the tie rod end I had replaced at Bernings also failed. As I stated in my previous review, the technicians (I'm using this term very loosely with these clowns) have no clue what they're doing. And the owner, your typical con man. So be warned, stay away from Bernings.
