Well, Maybe I'm a snob but this is definitely an "ok" Thai restaurant. I ordered this as a takeout and the person behind the counter was very nice. There was only one table occupied in the restaurant at 6:15 at night and the whole place smelled like an old wood cabin. I ordered the red curry and requested 4 out of 5 stars with spiciness. I got something that was closer to 2 stars. But, this is Spokane and it's a different demographic than Seattle so I get it. Also, the peppers were undercooked, practically raw. The chicken was not as tender as I had hoped. The rice seemed a little firm. Flavor was amazing, though! And they gave me extra basil as I requested. Great ambience. Small setting but the coming and going makes it super fun place. It has a nice feel and you may think you're actually in Thailand eating. The menu is quite extensive which worries me but the time it took for my red curry with chicken and jasmine rice to come out I knew items were being cooked fresh. Some good drink options as well but I didn't try or look at the drink menu. My curry was very good- basic Thai food. I ordered a spice level 4 which was perfect. I usually like tongue burning spice but I'm glad I went with 4 and not 5. It had enough kick in the after bite that satisfied my spice craving. Seeing how busy this place is I think it speaks for itself. Service was attentive. I'd definitely come back here again. read more

This hole-in-the-wall - the north side has a much better atmosphere - used to be my favorite Thai restaurant in the valley. With the pandemic keeping me home, I was jonesing for Thai so I look into getting it delivered. Turns out that they jacked up the prices roughly 50% for the pandemic and that is without the outrageous delivery fee and whatever the delivery company charges. What used to cost roughly $12 to order in the restaurant is suddenly almost $19 +$6 delivery fee + delivery company fee and is almost $30 for one entree. I will never return, even if they stop price gouging. Don't support shady businesses please. read more

Now since this pandemic their portion sizes have drastically changed. 18$ a plate and it's not even enough to share between two people? They're very inconsistent with how they cook their food. I'm not a huge Thai person and usually just get fried rice with beef. Every single time, and I mean EVERY single time, the mess around with the ingredients or don't know how to consistently keep the spice "stars" the same. Multiple times I've chosen a #3 spice level, and it's either burning my butt off, or no spice at all... or 3/4 the plate FULL of semi-cooked veggies, or barely any at all. Only once or twice they nailed it but I keep setting myself up for disappointment everytime I order here. read more

Just NO! We stopped here on our way to our hotel for the night. Everything was wrong. The Tom Yum soup didn't have any lime taste, I even dig through looking for lime leaves and couldn't find any. The pad Thai had a burned flavor. The chicken satay had the right color but zero flavor. The massama curry was so poorly cooked the onions were almost raw. I love their dinner combos D4 red curry and D5 with cashew nut chicken.. They come with butterfly crab-filling wontons (that are the BEST!), spring rolls, plum sauce and the best Pad Thai with chicken! Thai Bamboos Pad Thai is a bit dry without chicken (in their lunch special) so I go with their dinner special to get all the goods together.. leftovers are great! Thanks for having a great menu and points system! I've got a few free items... but y'all aren't always so great at getting my number input with to-go orders so perhaps make sure you have the right orderer AND rewards account pulled up when verifying who you're talking with. All three Thai Bamboo's are lovely places. The service is ok. I have had to ask for my tea the last two times I got take out. Once in the valley and today on the south hill. My question is; why do they insist on burning the wontons the last two times I've ordered them? They are beyond edible. I'm also not sure what's going on with the Phad Woon sen but it smells off. I've given them four tries at different locations and I'm sorry to say I won't be back. read more

We were really wanting some good Thai. The place we wanted to try was around the corner, but they were closed. We don't live and Spokane and remember eating here once before and it not being memorable. Anyway, we decided to give it another go. Our food was very disappointing. While it had flavor, it lacked spice (ordered a 3 out of 5, which usually makes my nose run a little) and the food was EXTREMELY greasy. I don't think we'll be back, which is too bad because we come to Spokane yearly. I'm only giving this place 3 stars because the staff was extremely friendly and the facilities were clean. We visited here for the second time when we went for a visit. I was highly impressed at their care and attention to detail for the person in our party with a shellfish allergy. They had lists of every ingredient they use. The food was excellent, but portions a bit small. We had six people we were feeding, and four combos were needed to get enough to feed everyone, which made it a bit pricey. I would revisit the place, but would think it would be more reasonable for lunch. We loved the great customer service we received and even though we live out of town, will visit again read more

Don't let the outside apperance fool you, this is a gem in the valley. There are not many great Thai places in Spokane, so I decided to go here because of proximity. The first time, I ordered take out, which was very quick and the lady on the phone was very friendly. The second time I ordered take out, I didn't even have to say my name or anything. She already had my name and last order looked up based on my phone number, which was cool. This is great for people who always order the same thing because they keep it on file for quick order later. I have not dined in, but the dining area looks like a decent size and the wait staff is friendly. There is a very small waiting area for take out, so I recommend coming in a little after the quoted time for your order, just so you don't have to wait too long on the small bench next to the register. The food has a great variety, with the usual Thai staples, along with some other Asian fusion items. I especially like their dinner combos, which have pretty good value. I am always left full with the dinner combis, which have plenty of food. I highly recommend dining here, whether for take out or dine in. read more

I can't rave enough about the flavorful food coming out of the Valley location. I always make sure to get a combo dish so I have leftover's to take to work when my husband and I dine here. Their menu is HUGE, so many delicious items to choose from with spice levels 1-5 ..3 is a very good flavor of spice but 4 really kicks it up a bit. Service is always great. The staff is always very friendly and knowledgable around their menu items! The berry Sangria is AMAZING for a tasty beverage with any meal. Go check them out, bring friends and trust me, you'll so be coming back to the place, it's that great! read more

I love Thai bamboo, but this time and last at this location something was up with my Fried Rice. Not actually fried? And very oily, almost as if they went to fry but didn't leave it cooking long enough. Flavor stars are never consistent, and this more similar to oily white rice than fried rice. read more

We ordered for the first time from here tonight. It was pretty bad. The Tom Yum soup was basically spicy broth with onions. SO MANY ONIONS. Hardly anything else in the soup. The Pad Thai was sweet....not like its supposed to taste. The yellow curry was full of onions, overly spicy (hot) but not much flavor otherwise. The rice served with the curry was undercooked and crunchy. For the price point, I expected way better. I feel like I paid for flavored onions. We stopped here on a whim while traveling through Spokane on business. The tips posted on Foursquare made it sound palatable. The exterior is a bit rough but go inside and scan the extensive menu. The highlight was the Trout Salad - which was absolutely delicious- filled with an amazing mix of Thai flavors and a little spice. The vegetarian yellow curry was also tasty.
