Well, Maybe I'm a snob but this is definitely an "ok" Thai restaurant. I ordered this as a takeout and the person behind the counter was very nice. There was only one table occupied in the restaurant at 6:15 at night and the whole place smelled like an old wood cabin. I ordered the red curry and requested 4 out of 5 stars with spiciness. I got something that was closer to 2 stars. But, this is Spokane and it's a different demographic than Seattle so I get it. Also, the peppers were undercooked, practically raw. The chicken was not as tender as I had hoped. The rice seemed a little firm. Flavor was amazing, though! And they gave me extra basil as I requested. I would probably try somewhere else next time.

We used to dine in all the time before Covid and this place was amazing great vegan options and large family style portions! Amazing flavors! Now since this pandemic their portion sizes have drastically changed. 18$ a plate and it's not even enough to share between two people? Called in and asked and the lady was super defensive denying any change but clearly based on this picture and the pictures from a year ago you can clearly see the portion change..... will never be dining here again unfortunately.

Just NO! We stopped here on our way to our hotel for the night. Everything was wrong. The Tom Yum soup didn't have any lime taste, I even dig through looking for lime leaves and couldn't find any. The pad Thai had a burned flavor. The chicken satay had the right color but zero flavor. The massama curry was so poorly cooked the onions were almost raw. It had one potato and other than spicy no flavor. The rice was nice and sticky. Other than that just NO!

Showing how much grease was in the Cashew Nut Chicken. I should have taken a picture of the curry too, but forgot.

Her warmth was genuine, her recommendations were spot-on, and she had an incredible ability to anticipate what we needed before we even asked. Lily checked in at just the right moments -- never intrusive, never absent. She remembered details from earlier in the conversation, kept the energy upbeat, and handled a small mix-up with our order with total grace and a smile. That kind of poise is rare. If you're lucky enough to be seated in Lily's section, you're in for a treat. She's the kind of server who turns a good meal into a genuinely memorable experience. We'll absolutely be back, and we'll be asking for her by name!

We had a group of eight and there was a lot of "not ready yet" which the staff handled with ease. Food came out quickly but mostly all at the same time. We had a few items that came out later but it was reasonable and expected. Ambiance is very nice, simple but elegant. You would feel comfortable coming in dressed up or casual. Let's get to the nitty gritty, the food quality was very good, taste was a knock out. The pasta and sauce was good enough that I was looking for specific tastes so I could recreate it, that's what I hope for in a restaurant! And there was fresh bread, oh how I could wax poetic about fresh bread and so few restaurants are on this very simple add. Dessert - I'm always hypercritical of crème brûle because like bread it's pretty simple ingredients but takes some care, Muzuna's nailed it. All in all you should stop in for dinner and you won't be disappointed!

Tonight two people of our party had pho and one said it was the best by far, and the other felt that our usual haunt in Hawaii was more to her liking. So much so, it will be a decent snack later on tomorrow in the form of leftovers. The service is what I want to also comment on. The staff was very welcoming and the food came out fast. Please also note that their "spring roll" is what most people call a summer roll. Their deep fried spring roll is called an "egg roll" on their menu so make sure you know what you want and order accordingly. All in all, it was a great experience and we will come back again on our next visit.

We came in right before closing, so yes... we were those people. But the staff was incredibly accommodating, welcoming, and FAST. They got us seated and our food out quickly without making us feel rushed or unwelcome. We started with the edamame and gyoza. The gyoza was cooked perfectly with such great flavor and was the perfect way to kick things off. Then came the main event... FIVE different sushi rolls. Every roll was beautifully plated and clearly crafted with care. And while presentation is great, I'm a firm believer that pretty food means absolutely nothing if it doesn't taste good. Thankfully... it DID. Every bite had such a great balance of flavors and textures. You could tell there was thought put into each roll, and honestly, they really know what they're doing over there. We also ordered the General Tso's Chicken, which was spicy, flavorful, and breaded perfectly. Definitely another standout! And beyond the food, the ambiance and speedy service were two of the highlights for me. It had that perfect date-night feel while still being relaxed enough for a night out with friends. Overall, Umi Kitchen & Sushi Bar was a BIG win for us. Great food, beautiful presentation, quick service, and an atmosphere that made for a really fun night.

I think it's unnecessary to be entertained and checking on excessively, we dine at restaurants for the food, after all. Servers were here to help facilitate that process, and for many others. Our table were checked in on just enough times to make sure we had everything we needed and they were very polite:) One note on reservation: we went at lunch time on a weekend, I actually booked ahead of time. But once we arrived it seemed unnecessary as there were plenty of tables to choose from. If you forgot to make reservation, I say give it a try regardless

The steamed dumplings weren't my favorite to be honest. They were dense and slightly dry. The crab ragoons were amazing though. The outside was crunchy and the filling was creamy and well balanced! For entrees we got the yum gai tod, the siam crunchy chicken, and sweet and sour (chicken) The yum gai tod was very fresh with a beautiful zesty flavor! That being said - you have to eat it with all the sides otherwise the chicken is much too sour. It was crispy and everything was super fresh. The sweet and sour (chicken) can have any kind of meat. The veg were cooked well, tons of sauce (maybe too much), and the chicken was not fried. The spice (level two) built up nicely and wasnt overwhelming. The sauce itself was balanced and appeared to be homemade! My entree, siam chicken, was no doubt the best! It was saucy and crispy! The vegetables were cooked perfectly (nothing was under done nor over cooked). The sauce was tangy and sweet and the level one spice was perfect!!! For dessert we got sticky rice and mango along with coconut ice-cream! The desserts were probably the best part about the menu! The ice-cream wasnt as smooth as I like but there was this salty coconut sauce that paired beautiful with the soft coconut flavor. It was my favorite of the day. The sticky rice was nearly perfect! It also had a salty coconut sauce that was perfect with the sweetness of the mango and sticky rice. The thai ice tea was great! It had none of that bitterness that is common with Thai tea. All in all I will be returning!

It was vegetables and herbs and pork wrapped in rice paper. It was really refreshing and the sauces; peanut, sambal, and chili were so good! But they were 14 dollars and barely had any pork... The bao buns were good, the pork belly being really great. The bun itself was not great, but the sauce in the bao made up for it. But it was 12 DOLLARS for TWO small sized bao buns! The kalbi was tender and really nicely charred. The flavors were nice with a sweetness that paired well with the smoky flavor and was probably the best dish over all. The bombay chicken also had a really nice flavor, but was so dry it was nearly impossible to eat. I got the ko moo yang which is a marinated pork dish. The flavor wasn't exceptional - it was also dry. We did get sides; marinated greens, egg, radish, and noodles but the portions sizes for them were comically small. I swear there were 6 macaroni noodles. The Thai tea was overly sweet and this was mentioned-! they only had coconut milk and told us that but it was so chunky, a sort of curdle milke texture, it was hard to suck through the straw. Our service was very slow and a member of my party had mentioned that she didn't eat spicy food and so the server didn't bring over hot sauce for the rest of the party who do eat spicy? Plus it was very slow moving which was strange because there was no one there, like it took ten minutes for two drinks which were sodas. We arrived there around 3pm and left around 5pm.
