This place is not only delicious, but they have outstanding service and they are very accommodating of food allergies. I love this place!

My co-worker and I had lunch here because we were told that this small chain served the best Thai in Spokane. We are normally disappointed by local recommendations for Thai food and were happily surprised when our regular orders were spot on. I always order the pad see ewe and my co-worker gets the drunken noodles, medium spicy. Good portion size, flavors were good, spice was just right. Thai Bamboo is probably the best thai restaurant in the Spokane area. There are lots of menu items to choose from. The phad thai is delicious! That being said, I have a couple of complaints. Being a Seattle native, I've been to numerous thai restaurants that are higher in quality and much lower in cost. Thai Bamboo has amazing lunch specials, but dinner be pricey. You need to buy your single entree, rice, and any extras while purchasing dinner. During lunch you get your entree, side of phad thai, and rice for approximately $10. I will turn to Thai Bamboo until I find something better! read more

This place is great. Great service, great food. My group was making fun of me because I ordered two entrees but the food was that good. Our waitress was awesome. Friendly, helpful and never an empty glass. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in town. read more

My husband wanted to visit this place. He used to live in Spokane, he went on to explain how this place was the absolute best! Figuring it was a lot of talk... I was prepared for mediocre run of the mill Thai. I was WRONG' this place is AMAZING!!! Excellent service,excellent food! Tried this place several years ago during our annual summer visit to the Valley. We were craving Thai and heard good things about this place from a friend. Sure enough, this place was a hit and we've been going back every year since. We always order the Two Friends and an order of won ton soup... super yummy additions to the meal. For main dishes I usually order the Pad See Ew or Thai Garlic Delight. Everything is extremely flavorful with just the right amount of kick (just need to make sure to ask for it spicy!). As for the restaurant itself, it's a modest little place but has a great patio in the back. We love sitting out there on warm nights and have some drinks while we wait for our food to go. Service is always friendly. Prices are a bit on the high side compared to some other Thai restaurants we frequent, but it's definitely worth it. I love the pineapple red curry! I just want to keep going back for more. They have a huge menu and their staff is friendly for the most part. Their host for the night was awful though. She didn't greet us with a smile, didn't give us drink menus or offer us water. It took awhile to get served unfortunately. But it was all worth it in the end. The last time I has Thai food before coming here was quite awhile ago over in the Seattle area, so I was super excited to get some local Thai here in Spokane. I was unfortunately disappointed though with the food. I ordered a plate of Pad Thai with a 2 factor of spice, and it was excessively sweet. I couldn't even really tell that there had been any spice added. I know that Pad Thai is a generally sweet Thai dish, but I've never had it taste that sweet before. It became overwhelming the more I ate it, which is what really disappointed me. I really wanted to like this place and come back for more, but I don't think I can after this. I will say that the staff there was super nice, accommodating, and attentive. We always had full drinks and we were well taken care of. This might be a good place to come if you are interested in other menu options, but I probably won't be going back to find out. read more

Thai bamboo features some really great quality ingredients that they turn into tasty dishes. The problem is that the prices are VERY high for the portion size. Seriously, all dinner portions are meager and run around $15. I'd like to bump up the rating to a solid 4 stars but can't due to the very skimpy portions. If I could select 0 stars I think I would have chosen that. From the second we pulled up we noticed how shabby the outside looked but hey the reviews were pretty good online so we decided to go inside. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by this lovely odor that I can only assume to be rat pee, and it was STRONG!! We walked in and got seated before I asked my husband if he could smell it too. It was too much for us to handle so we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. How they are able to serve food out of a place that smells that bad blows my mind!! We have a 20 month old and the thought of him being in there around that smell and eating food that was served in a place that has a smell so strong you couldn't really even smell the food was just not ok so we had to leave! read more

This little place is truly a hidden treasure in the valley. Don't just drive by, the experience here was that of a genuinely loving restaurant. The food was amazing Thai and the service was just as great. The waitress and host were hands down the nicest most genuine people around. As a homeless man walked in and requested food the employees handled it better than I ever expected. The waitress when on to tell us "That's just what we do here, we take care of people" after we completed them on how well they dealt with the situation. I don't know why I go here it seems to be the only thai place ever open and its quick. That must be why it is so popular. Because the food here sure ain't authentic Thai or even good. Any rice noodle dishes are far overcooked and very mushy and sticky. Aswell as most of their dishes run on the VERY SWEET side of the spectrum compared to other places where you would expect a savory dish. I am what I like to call, a slight yellow curry connoisseur. It is probably the only meal I could eat everyday, forever, until the end of time. With that being said, I'm very picky with my curry selection, and this restaurant knocks it out of the park! It's amazing! Not only that, but there is this humorous woman ( maybe an owner?) who seats patrons, and toodles around reflecting an awesome vibe and funny demeanor. It is a rather small building, so this may be a little more difficult for large groups, but for my son, boyfriend and I, it's perfect! I came to get some lunch with my friends. The lunch combo that have half pad thai and half sweet and sour chicken is an wonderful dish!! It's good to have two of my favorite dishes on the same plate. The portion of the food is appropriate with the price. My friends order the combo that has chicken cashew nut and the combo that has pineapple curry so we got to try all different kinds of food. We also order the Tom Kha soup to share. The food taste wonderful. We all love it. We will definitely come back here again. The server is really nice and friendly. We cant wait to come back again when the patio open. It must be a really good place to hang out with friends in summer. read more
