They had no filling last time I ordered, I figured it was a one off incident and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Ordered them again, just as pathetic and shameful as the first order. Empty, unappetizing and a disgrace to all krab rangoons. Why am I'm I paying for empty wontons, times must be tough. Now I must speak up, bc this is krab rangoon fraud. Unexpectedly delicious! The place is unassuming, on the Broadway corridor. There are many other options, and I have been to many of them, but now I feel like I missed out; so happy to have someone else made the recommendation, the service was first class, very friendly and attentive, the food was hot and delicious!!! The food was actually very good! We ordered to go and the lady was extremely nice and very helpful. We tried the Chicken Pad Thai Chicken fried rice and the orange chicken. ALL of which were delicious. I got the medium spicy on my pad Thai if you like your food spicy I definitely would recommend to get its either Hot or Thai Hot because it wasn't spicy at all. They also give you a very generous amount of Chicken. Next time I will let the know to also go easy on the egg. The orange chicken was delicious and so was the fried rice. The Pad Thai was tasty although very saucy. We also ordered the sesame chicken, which was also tasty. The lunch portion of the sesame chicken was generous but not so much that you could save half for another meal. At checkout I had severe surprises. First was a free order of fried egg rolls. Good flavor, but the ratio of wrapper to filling is off. The second was a free order of crab wantons or edamame. We chose the edamame, which were lightly salted and not over steamed. The decor inside was nice other than the big screen tv and the classic rock blaring. Take out was very quick and it's across the street from the hospital. Got delivery to work and the food came really fast! Granted we are close to this place but they prepped the food and delivered much quicker than I would expect! We ordered the pad thai and drunken noodles (spicy) which were both very good! The drunken noodles weren't spicy (not sure how spicy they make it?) but couldn't taste any spice. We won't be ordering here again. The delivery was super fast, and the soup, wings, and wontons were decent, but everything else was exactly "meh." I ordered the tofu pad Thai, and it had literally no flavor, although it was doused in that weird orange sauce (whyyyy is pad Thai orange here?!!?!?) and the tofu tasted like grease. The fiancé got the Singapore noodles and said those were underwhelming too. I have yet to find really good Thai food in Denver, but I guess we will stick with the places we know can do a better job. I enjoy the Thai food and sesame chicken and appetizers from this location. My sister loves the yellow curry with tofu. However, this most recent delivery the store did not properly close the lid of the sweet and sour sauce for my crab cheese wontons. They also put my small container of crab cheese wontons sideways to fit into the bag. Therefore, the sauce spilled all over everything in the bag and was leaking through the bag. To add insult to injury, we don't have sweet and sour sauce for our crab wontons. Thai Basil - please double check your lids. Please triple check your lids if you are going to put the container in sideways. Many places use tape to make sure the lid stays on. Also, you forgot the utensils we requested. read more

Ordered a curry (yellow curry) and when I asked the server if it had potato (as I wanted that) she assured me it did. It arrived and they delivered the wrong dish to start with. When they bought the right one they hovered over my food while they asked me to check if it had potato and when I found somerbinf which looked like it might be they left it was however not potato but water chestnut finally they came back we explained to them when they clearly did not understand the issue and brought over someone else perhaps the manager who needed it explained again and said she would see about remaking it. In the meantime my friend was having to eat alone as I had no food. They brought it out again and this time it had a few cubes of evidently quickly deep fried and very oily potatoes thrown in. No compensation was offered and the full bill charged. Moreover the restrooms and the seats in the booths in the restaurant were in very poor state of repair. read more

I came here because One Fold next door was closed. I came for the lunch & tried the pad thai for under $8 & a Thai tea. I liked that the Thai tea's 1/2 & 1/2 wasn't premixed & I liked the modern bowl that my pad thai came in. The Thai tea was too sweet however. The noodles had sprigs of cilantro on top that were mostly leafless. The pad thai was super saucy but overly sour. I didn't get asked what kind of meat I wanted with my pad thai but I was given shrimp & chicken. I got medium spice which wasn't overly spicy for me but my stomach felt the heat afterward during my car ride home. The decor here is interesting. There's an outdoor space for dining with fake grass & the indoor space is heavily decorated in Thai sculptures, bamboo & stained glass windows. It feels like a Thai church. My son was trying to give me a break from the hospital food while I am a patient at St. Joseph's. With no dietary restrictions, it is definitely nice to order out for a change. My son ordered the Panang beef curry while I had the combo rice noodle lunch. Overall, the food was good. Panang was not particularly rich with coconut which I tend to prefer, and the curry broth seemed accordingly thinner. Meats in the noodle combo were lightly marinated and had a kiss of the charbroiled grill. Combo was accompanied with fresh veggies but there was no real pop of flavor, even when I dumped the entire container of the dressing. Eggroll seemed like a standard vegetable spring roll so rather uneventful. Overall, much better than having room service in the hospital room. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews for this lovely restaurant. My dad is in the hospital nearby (he's been a patient for over a month) and Thai Basil is my go-to getaway when I need some self care. The cooks at Thai Basil really put love, time, and care into their food. I have had several dishes, including the coconut curry and the pho. Every dish has been absolutely delicious. Solid, quick, good takeout. I frequently end up here when it's a random night and I don't wanna make food and basically have a few things I always get. It's close to my house too which makes it convenient to pick up. I don't think I've ever waited longer than 20 minutes for food. My boyfriend loves the Hong Kong noodles which are these crispy noodles you pour sauce and food over. I like the spicy eggplant dish or the green curry or some kind of noodle dish. We ordered food to be delivered from here last night, for Mother's Day. While the delivery service was excellent (used Seamless), the food was inedible. The Drunken Noodle and Pad Se-Lew were dripping with grease, noodles were chewy and stale, and the proteins (chicken and tofu) tasted as if they were cooked several days ago. The Pho was equally disappointing. The brisket was overcooked and also stale and chewy. The broth, which thankfully was packaged separately, was the only thing in the order that we ate. The sprouts were slimy and the hoisin sauce had lumps of dried crust in the container. We have ordered from here in the past and had good meals, but we will not be ordering from here again. The duck was inedible. The sesame chicken tasted "old." The satay had a profound vinegar flavor, which could not be overcome by the peanut sauce. The fried rice was nothing but rice with soy sauce: no veggies, no egg. No flavor to the coconut soup, and the salad was literally unseasoned chicken on shredded cabbage with a slice of lime.
