I wanted to try a new restaurant in my area and stumbled on this. This place isn't new just never been. I always drive by it but never thought to give it a try. This restaurant in right by Island Pacific and Luisa and Sons. This complex is pretty old and worn down, you can see the wear and tear on the building and in the parking lot. Went in and it was small and quiet. We sat down and got eaten by the booth chairs. lol I am guessing they are pretty old. After quickly looking at the menu, I decided on BBQ chicken, got chicken sate for appetizer and I can hardly remember what my bf got. It didn't take long and order came out. After first bite I wasn't impressed. Chicken was soo dry that I had to keep dunking it in sweet chili sauce. It also seemed like maybe it's been sitting a while. The sate chicken was also pretty dry. The rice was okay. Overall food was okay. Everything was pretty cheap compared to many other restaurants in the bay so I wasn't really mad about the whole experience. I ordered through doordash was a pickup order. My son went to pick it up, and gave them the text messages food we're ready and restaurant wouldn't give it to him. Told him gave my name and the last 4 of my card. They have issue of releasing the food to him and on top of that they forgot another order of mango and rice dessert. I had spend approximately 86 dollars. Treat people with respect and not judge a person by the color of his skin. Disappointed that a racial profiling at the restaurant in a small town. I decided to order takeout here over the phone since their prices are still quite reasonable. I ordered the cashew tofu; it is indicated as spicy on the menu, but since I avoided eating the chiles themselves, I found it pretty mild and manageable. The sauce is strong and flavorful, actually maybe a little too salty if you're getting it a la carte without any rice or other carb like I did but I did think it tasted great. The tofu is nicely fried and there is a lot of bell pepper and onion as well. My partner ordered Thai BBQ chicken a la carte, and thye thought it was pretty decent as well. That dish is pretty much only chicken, and does not come with curry. read more

We used to go here a few years ago, the food here's excellent and the prices are good. We went here for lunch and we couldn't believe the low prices and the food was plenty and tasty. My sister came here for the first time and she loved the place. It's in the shopping center that has plenty of parking spaces. The place is clean although small but quite cozy. I placed a phone order before departing for the restaurant since their website wasn't loading. It was the first time ever ordering at a Thai establishment where they didn't ask for my spice level for any of the dishes, so I requested spicy as I read out my final item. Make sure to request your spice level otherwise their default is mild. PAPAYA SALAD: fresh, crunchy and great flavor. It has just the right amount of sweetness, tartness, and umami from the fish sauce. Deliciously spicy (as I requested), beware there's tons of thai chilis in it. I wish the portion was a little more generous here too fill at least a full half box. I appreciate that they bagged this one separately so any leakage would be contained. Yes it did end up leaking! Lol CRAB FRIED RICE: wow unlike the papaya salad, they filled this container to the brim! It was full of real crab meat and egg at an astonishing price of just $10. Rice was cooked well, not soggy or dry but I wish it was just a little more savory as it leaned on the sweet side. Still worth it though! PAD THAI: noodles weren't over cooked but they were stuck together resulting in a large mass. The beef I selected was dry and lacked flavor unfortunately. The dish was sweet overall without any hint of tamarind or tartness. I think with an addition of something tart, it would round out the full flavor. DRUNKEN RICE: this "spicy" fried rice is listed with a chili next to it, but it wasn't spicy in my opinion. It also lists mint as one of the ingredients, but it was actually basil which seems more aligned with Thai fried rice. This was my least favorite item because it didn't have a distinct flavor and was overall bland. The beef was again really dry. I don't recommend this entree. I would come again because you can't beat the prices here. I'd reorder the crab fried rice and papaya salad, and probably try a few new items. read more

Their website is down, and it takes a few tries to get them to pick up their phone, but I can confirm they're still open as we just ordered from them. We moved a bit further north last year, so this place is a bit far from us now, but we still swing by here when we're able to get their amazing Beef Satay. We've been known to order 5-6 orders of it at once when we get together with friends for D&D night. Other favorites are the BBQ Pork Rib dinner, and my personal favorite, the Drunken Rice. my family and i loveeee the food here, you can't get that smokey and authentic flavor and char on thai bbq anywhere else! and the shrimp? don't even get me started: juicy, plump, and has a great texture and bite to them every time we ordered them and are a must have in the fried rice! this restaurant is located in a small plaza among other restaurants and a filipino supermarket, and there's plenty of parking. usually when we go, there's not many people sitting down to eat inside the restaurant which means it's pretty quiet inside. however, there's so many people who come for to-go's and pickup orders, i can definitely see why. the prices aren't that bad, ranging from $11+ to $15/$16 per item (from what i remember). they also have lunch/dinner combos during certain times too. you have to come here if you love thai food or sala thai! thai bbq is almost better than sala thai in some ways or equally as good, make sure you come and try this place out! read more

It's a small hole in the wall place that I love. I want this place to keep going because the food is so good. Try the papaya salad. (Refreshing and delicious when paired with the pad Thai) Try the pad Thai. So good, the noodles aren't dry but they're not too wet with sauce either. The drunken vegetables are great. Love this place! Delicious dishes, relaxed, quiet atmosphere, and prices you can't beat in the Bay Area for good Thai food. As others have mentioned, the prices here are lower than other Thai spots which is one of the reasons why I wanted to try them out. You're looking at spending about $10-$14 on each entree vs $15+ at other restaurants. But don't let that price fool you. The food is just as good! Chicken Yellow Curry ($10.95) - so tasty! Not a lot of veggies though. It's basically chicken pieces and potatoes. But the sauce is really good. Drunken Noodles ($11.95) - has a nice kick to it. love the sauce on the chicken and noodles and has a good variety of veggies. Rama Shrimp ($13.95) - looks bland at first, but my fiance really liked it and thought it was seasoned well. Mango with Sweet Sticky Rice ($6.95) - yum! This is my go-to dessert at Thai restaurants and it did not disappoint. We ordered to-go and only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for our food. Appreciated the quick turnaround! Don't let the hole in the wall ambience from the outside fool you, they serve the best Thai food in the bay! My family loves ordering the bbq sore ribs, chicken bbq, curry, shrimp pad Thai and shrimp fried rice. Last time I ate here was more than 2 years ago, so when I was suddenly craving Thai food, I had to give this place a try again. To be honest, it is not as good as I remember. There was no wait and only one server working. We ordered the Phad See Ew, calamari rings, and swai fish. The phad see-ew was pretty bland and the noodles itself were too soft and not chewy. The swai fish was pretty good with the sweet chili sauce. The calamari rings were a big let down because the breading was way too thick and the calamari was too chewy.
