I ordered (to go) the Krapow Moo Sub Dhai Daow (Spicy Basil) because all the photos I've seen look delish, and juicy. Very first bite into it, my first thought was, "Argh salty!!" This is such a hidden gem! In a small food court on the promenade Thai Belly is just a stall but there is plenty of seating in the food court and parking at least during the weekday. We tried a few noodle dishes and curry and all the food including the Thai salad were a solid 5/5. The Thai lemon tea was also really good. My personal highlight was the mango sticky rice it was literally the best I've ever had and I would definitely come back for that alone. The service was pretty decent. The one thing that through me off was that they brought out the wrong noodle dishes insisting it was ours. My mom began to eat it and about a fourth of the way in they brought out the correct dish, however they took away the one she has been eating too. I understand we didn't order it but she had already been eating it and I would assume they wouldn't serve it to anyone else so I thought that was a bit weird. This Thai place is tucked away in the Good Food Hall in Anaheim and it's definitely a hidden gem. I got the krapow dish which is a spicy basil ground pork dish topped with a fried egg. I went with mild spice but I should've gone higher because it didn't have enough of a kick. That said, they delivered on flavor. I also found out they served khao soi, a thick and rich coconut curry noodle dish that's topped with extra crispy noodles. This was my favorite of the two for sure. The noodles were chewy, the broth was sweet but savory in a good way and the crispy noodles added a lot of texture to the dish. I only meant to have a few bites but I ended up finishing most of the bowl. No regrets. I didn't even need to think twice about dessert because mango sticky rice is my favorite. I could've drunk the coconut sauce that they drizzled over the sticky rice with how good it was. I could also tell mangos were in season because they were ripe and juicy. As for the pink milk, it wasn't my favorite. It's based on personal preference though but the flavor was too overwhelming for me. There's plenty of indoor seating with many tables so you could hang out in a large group or just grab a small table for solo eating. Came here for dinner since it was popular on Yelp. So my husband and I decided to try it. We arrived around 5 pm and there was a line but not too bad. We ordered some fried dumplings and for entree we went with chicken drunk noodles and shrimp drunk noodles. I like how they ask what level of spice you want it . I went with mild spice and my husband was no spice. All I can say is the presentation of the food is not there. And I will say that it was also a bit oily. The taste was there. My husband ordered Pad Krapow which he really liked as well. We also got a Thai tea which was good but I wish it had more of a tea/herbal taste. It was on the sweet/floral side. We also got the mango sticky rice which was very good too. (I thought there was a little too much syrup on the rice because it was on the sweet side for me.) Easily one of the best authentic tasting Thai flavors in Orange County. I've had their food delivered via DoorDash previously where I tried their Spicy Basil Crispy Pork and Tom Yum Soup. Both dishes were excellent! All the flavors were spot on and well balanced. The crispy pork was chunky and crispy. I decided to try them out in person. They're inside the Good Food Hall, so there is plenty of outdoor seating if you want to bring your dog (no dogs inside the food hall). This time I tried the Ka Praow Moo (Spicy Basil Ground Pork w/ Fried Egg). This is quintessential Thai street food and it was delicious. Highly recommend this dish. My wife tried their Oh Mama Tom Yum Noodle Soup. It's not a typical Tom Yum Noodle Soup with rice noodles. Instead you get some sort of egg noodles and the broth tasted more milky. We weren't a fan, so we can't recommend this dish. Then we ordered a Pad See Ew w/ Fried Tofu to go to eat later in the day. It was very delicious and holds up well as takeout food. The food hall itself is very spacious and there was plenty of seating. The cashier is friendly and helpful if you have questions. Below will be our review of each item: Kai Ping Chicken Skewers - chicken was tender and had a nice sweet and charred taste. For the price, I was a little disappointed in the portion size Spicy Chow Mein - my husband ordered this Very Spicy, based off other reviews about the spice level. Well, it was definitely very spicy, almost too spicy, but he loves spicy and was pleased with it. Pad Thai - this wasn't my favorite pad Thai but it wasn't bad. It was light on flavor, but the flavor was still there. Though there was a generous amount of chicken in my opinion, all the pieces were dry, almost jerky like in texture. I wish DoorDash gave a spicy level option, I like a little spice on my pad Thai. Spicy Dumpling - these were good, the sauce was more sweet than spicy. And the wrappers were extremely soft, almost to the point of being over cooked. Mango Sticky Rice - although I have had better mango sticky rice, this was still an extremely good dessert! Yesterday, I ordered the Chef's Special Braised Beef Panang Curry (mild) and the Eggplant Basil Stirfry with added Tofu. Everything was so perfect. We ate too fast and forgot to take a photo!
