Cute mom and pop to-go located inside the Good Food hall. It's Thai owned and freshly cooked to order (so will need to wait a bit for your food). The crispy pork was crispy and tender, but the beef and chicken was a bit tough and dry. I'd recommend the crispy pork as your protein option. The Tom yum had real authentic flavors and you can tell it was made with fresh ingredients and large pieces of lemongrass). The shrimp pad Thai had ample amount of shrimp and the noodle was nice and chewy. The sauce is slightly sweeter than other places. My party of 10 visited Thai Belly for a birthday celebration. We had a wonderful time over delicious food with great hospitality from the restaurant's owner and staff. We were happy with a large table that comfortably accommodated our large party. Unlike other food courts with fast-food service, we were pleasantly surprised with sit-down level of restaurant-style service. You order from the cashier, they give you a number, and you find a table. The cashier will bring out your food. We had a craving for Mango Sticky Rice. I called 4 different restaurants and none had any available. I called here and they had 2 left. I asked if I could have them and the girl on the phone sounded busy and asked if I could hold while she took an order. Shortly after waiting, she picked up the phone again and took my order for the last 2. I've had mango sticky rice from multiple places all over SoCal. So far, this is the best one. The mango was perfect and plentiful and the rice was PERFECT. They did not skimp on anything. It's kinda pricy at 10 bucks but idc. This is a business worth going to. I also ordered the Thai Tea and Pink Milk. They were ok but maybe I'm used to lots of sugar in the drinks. They were good drinks for sure. Either way, I'm planning on ordering some food sometime this weekend or next and will definitely get the mango sticky rice again. Overall 10/10 experience for me. I live nearby and decided to finally try this place out. I was going to go to The Taco Shop thinking since its Taco Tuesday, but they do not have a Taco Tuesday. Plus, I was kinda craving Thai Food. Thai Belly is inside The Good Food Hall. The hall is on Center Street. The hall is on the small to medium side. You order at the counter and take your food to go. If you choose to eat inside, there are some tables and a long bar, which used to be used by Healthy Junk (miss that place). There are some tables outside on the patio too. Just 3 restaurants K&A, The Taco Shop, Thai Belly and Presotea are inside The Good Food Hall. I do love Thai Food! I ordered the green curry (mild) with chicken to eat inside the food hall. It was $13.95, $15.03 with tax the presentation was simple and nice. I even received a cup of water with my tray of food. The green curry was good. It had a little spice to it, but the portion was on the smaller side. They should have a happy hour or daily lunch or dinner specials here at Thai Belly. I expected more chicken in my bowl. And more than a few pieces of eggplant and green bell pepper in my green curry. The side of Jasmin Rice that came with it, was good. I mixed most of it into the green curry. The usual Thai Restaurants I go too, the portions are bigger. The service here was good. There were two friendly ladies working. One at the counter, and one in the back cooking. The food came out quickly and steaming hot. The guy even brought it to our table which was nice. The pad Thai and fried rice were really good and generous portions. The disappointment was with the dumplings, which were a little overfried and with little filling. I will not be ordering those again, especially at like $9. I ordered lunch specials of: Spicy basil with beef, medium spicy 4/5 - Dish was good, medium spicy was truly a medium, not much beef though Pad Thai chicken 3/5 - a little bland for my taste, but not bad. I'm used to orange pad Thai and a little bit wet. This one was tan and dry. The lunch special came with a small salad and an egg roll. Cost was $31, portion size was more like $25. I was so excited for Thai Belly to open as soon as I saw the sign outside of the Good Food hall! I went on their 2nd day of soft opening, but couldn't eat anything spicy because I was recovering from a surgery so I got the Pad Thai. The owner is Thai and you can tell she loves authentic Thai flavors and the cook peeped out is the cutest elderly Asian woman! The Pad Thai was SO good. It was piping hot even when I got home.
