Build your own bowl with lemongrass chicken, purple rice, lettuce, carrots, seaweed, and spicy sesame sauce, along with pickled onions.
    Erik I.

While in the area for an appointment, I happened to be near a supercharger station conveniently located next to Easy Young. Since my vehicle required some time to charge, I decided to have lunch at the restaurant. Upon entering, I immediately noticed the clean and well-maintained interior. I was warmly greeted by the staff, which set a positive tone. Based on prior Yelp reviews, I opted for the "Build Your Own Bowl" with lemongrass chicken. For my base, I selected purple rice. An unusual yet intriguing process followed: the staff member behind the counter weighed both the rice and the chicken portions using a scale. Initially, this practice caught me off guard, but I came to appreciate it as a thoughtful effort to ensure consistent portion sizes and fairness for the customer. One suggestion I would offer is to openly display the measured weight of each item to bolster transparency and further enhance trust in their portioning system. Continuing with my bowl, I added lettuce and various vegetables, similar to what you'd find at a poke bowl establishment. My choice of toppings included spicy sesame dressing, black garlic bean paste, pickled onions, and seaweed salad, complemented by crunchy garlic and carrots. The final presentation was meticulous, and I opted for a seat toward the back to enjoy my meal. The bowl itself was excellent, with fresh and flavorful ingredients that were well-balanced. If I find myself in the area again, I would definitely return to try more offerings from their menu. Before leaving, the staff member who had assisted me inquired about my experience, which I found to be a thoughtful gesture. Interestingly, the restaurant explicitly states on its menu and counter that tipping is not allowed--a policy I found unusual and perhaps slightly frustrating, as the level of service certainly merited a tip. Overall, Easy Young excelled in food quality, cleanliness, and customer service. It was a thoroughly enjoyable lunch.

I've been eyeing Easy Young for a long time and finally got the chance to try it out over the weekend. There was no line when I entered and though my time speaking with the staff was minimal, they were very friendly and helpful. I was looking into getting a bowl but it looked like all the ingredients for the bowls were put away so the plates and drinks were the only options on the menu. I didn't ask why the bowls weren't displayed so that one is on me. I ordered the Wagyu Steak Frites and a Mango Matcha drink. Got the order in under 10 minutes so they were quick with it! Although I'm sure having no line helped. The Wagyu Steak was great! It was juicy, flavorful and definitely one that I wouldn't mind trying again. The fries that came along with it was fried just the right amount and had a nice crunch to it. The Mango Matcha was perfect for the hot summer day. Sweet and fruity. There wasn't as much steak as I expected with the plate, but that doesn't take away from the tastiness of the food. I'd be more than willing to try out the bowls next time I come back!

We had to do a quick stop here and decided to get a drink. We got their matcha einspanner and it was pretty good! After a good mixing it gets a nice, sweet (not overly sweet) flavor; it's not too earthy so we really enjoyed it. It seems like they have a good variety of food items also, so maybe for another time. The decor is nice, minimal, simple and clean. Service was very friendly! The stop was worth it!

As I was looking for a coffee shop, I came across this place and was immediately impressed by how clean everything was. I was a little unsure of what to order, but Mandy was incredibly kind and took the time to explain the menu and give me great recommendations. One thing that really stood out to me was that they don't accept tips because they pay their employees well. Especially here in LA, where tipping culture has gotten a bit out of hand, I really respect and appreciate their approach. I hope more customers support businesses like this. Overall, this is an easy five-star review in my opinion. As a Yelp Elite, I hope this place gets the recognition and customers it deserves. I'll definitely be back!

A rarity these days to find a 'No Tip' point of sale terminal.

Dropped off a friend at UCI for a two hour procedure. I had time and matcha cravings to kill and Easy Young was the nearest that popped up in my Yelp search bar. As usual, I first inquire for the most popular matcha drink and the friendly female staff member posed a question to my question: "Do you like your matcha creamy?" to which I replied a resounding affirmative. She pointed to the first two items on the menu and I picked Matcha Banoffee - hand whisked ceremonial grade matcha with oat milk partnered with banana toffee cloud. "I hope you like it" as she handed my caffeinated iced beverage. "I like it!", I said after the first sip. Easy Young is a mere four months old yet they get busy during lunch hours and just recently started serving dinner seven days a week! The space, and number of tables certainly proves they can accommodate the crowds. This is their very first location and working hard to keep customers happy so more people find out through organic word of mouth marketing! The owners may be easy and young but their clientele spans the ages. Go discover it yourself!

    Matcha Einspanner with oat milk

The drinks looked really aesthetic. But I tried to matcha einspanner and it was a bit too milky. There was not enough matcha taste. The cream on top also felt a bit watery to me. The other coffee drinks look really interesting though so I would like to come back and try it again. I saw that they had food too that looked yummy. The staff was friendly and the space inside had good seating. I appreciate how it's also near a Tesla Supercharger and Disneyland.

This spot exceeded our expectations!! We came for lunch just right after the lunch rush and ordered the Steak Frites which the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare with such a unique Szechuan inspired flavor that made it stand out. The fries were super crispy and it's honestly rare to find a steak dish this good outside of a traditional steakhouse! You're able to customize your bowl almost like asian chipotle style where you can pick out what to include in your bowl. We tried the signature Char Siu Bowl, which was fresh, flavorful, and felt like the perfect healthy balance to the meal. Really loved the purple rice + sesame dressing! They really do asian fusion dishes the right way! We initially actually came for the drinks that just came out, and every single one was so good. The Matcha Einspanner, Mont Blanc, Black Marble, and Golden Hour were each so unique and worth trying, especially their cream tops! The Golden Hour was my favorite with its caramelized banana flavor and banoffee cold foam, while the Black Sesame had chocolate, walnut, and a rich nutty taste that I really really liked! Everything came out quickly, the indoor seating area is surprisingly so spacious, and the service was friendly and attentive! A special shoutout to Mandy who was so kind and informative made the experience even better. She offered the kind of service that wanted us to tip, but they actually don't accept tips here! They truly want to serve the best quality of food and genuine service. There's so much seating, its perfect for studying, quick lunch on the go, date night and more! Definitely coming back soon!

The food here was really tasty and everything was super delicious! Super sad that we came in around the time they were closing, we had the plates, the waygu steak fries that were really gooodd, fatty, but amazing! The fries dipped and juices were amazing, I also really loved their lemonade options, had about 5 cups of their lemon grass lemonade and took one home! Very friendly service that welcomed us in and gave us good recommendations too, the place itself was pretty empty but the whole atmosphere was super cozy! Hidden gem

Wow, great company. That provides great service and food. Prices are on average, but at least they do not force tipping down your throat like these other restaurants. Location is clean and the AC runs at at least a 68-70 degrees. Soups are flavorful

    Shannon Z.

Love that there are healthy Asian food options in the area! Ordered the lemongrass chicken bowl and portion was great - they also don't expect you to tip them (there's not even an option to tip) great place to stop by for lunch when feeling like you want a nutritious and healthy meal. Chicken was just a tiny bit dry but overall the bowl was delicious!!

Tried out Easy young first time today passed by several times so I gave it a go! Around 4pm and not a sound in sight. Order a couple apps ordered the crispy dumplings, Waygu steak frites, and the hot honey crisp baby back ribs. Bo the the Waygu and baby back ribs came on a bed of the delicious battered fries. Started with Waygu steak frites and the sauce which was a house scezhuan peppercorn sauce was delicious. The Waygu left a little to be desired as it was cooked very rare. The crispy dumplings were nice with a chili crisp dipping sauce that was very tasty. And the honey crisp baby back ribs were fall off the bone well cooked. Service was quick and efficient and host asked how everything was. Good overall was good only issue was the price. A little high for fast casual and I think this may be the deterrent to some people. Overall a 4 for quality of food and freshness but the price I would've given a 3. Hope for the best for a local restaurant!

    Matcha einspanner
    Janais B.

I saw they added cafe style drinks to the menu so I stopped by for a matcha einspanner! My standards for matcha are pretty high since OC has so many good spots so I was excited to see that their matcha here is ceremonial grade, first harvest, and hand whisked. Overall, the flavor was good and the drink was well balanced with the cream and the sweetness level was great and not too sweet! It was smooth and not grainy at all and I love that it's made with oat milk by default! I do wish that the matcha flavor was stronger though, it is definitely lighter than I expected. With tax the drink came out to about $8.60, so I did expect a stronger matcha flavor for the price. Looking forward to seeing if they improve over time :)

Really hard for us to go for a dish without protein more so than the actual entree but that just says a lot for their salad! I loved all the flavors and texture. You can't tell from the photo but they give a good amount of Burrata cheese underneath and the pear is also there sprinkled with candied walnuts on top! And for the Lomo Saltado it was a solid staple. The fries were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft on inside. The meat was also tender and not overly seasoned. As for my personal taste, the spicy wontons could have used a little more depth and umami. That said, I'd still recommend giving it a try! Taste is subjective, and there's clearly a lot of care behind the dish. I WILL be back for their drinks. No notes for the ones mentioned because I finished all 3! That's how good their drinks are here! Always happy to support and encourage people to check it out for themselves. Their staff is beyond sweet!

It was also packed on a Saturday night, which made me think we were in for something good. We ordered the spicy wontons, Món Bò Lúc Lắc (shaken beef) with fries, which we got with the garlic noodles, and their signature pho. Overall, the food wasn't bad, but it also didn't really wow me. The garlic noodles were probably one of the better parts of the meal, and the chili wontons were good too. The shaken beef looked great, but I felt like the steak and sauce needed more seasoning or something to really bring the dish together. The pho was good, but again, nothing that really stood out to me. I will give them credit for the service though. It was extremely busy, but the young servers were still pretty quick. Maybe my expectations were a little high because of how busy it always looks, but for a fusion restaurant I wanted the flavors to be a little more memorable. Not bad by any means, just probably not somewhere I'd go out of my way for. 6/10

I was meeting my foodie friend there at 12:30. The parking lot has limited space, which made it an extra challenge to park. Thankfully I only had to circle the block once to come back and snag a spot. (Meanwhile, my friend got there before me and was already enjoying an appetizer). Orders are placed at the counter and they call your number once your food is ready. The dining room consists of mostly booth seating with one "communal" table, and counter seating with 5ish chairs. There are also a handful of tables set outside. I've really been enjoying banh mi and their Bulgogi beef sandwich sounded great. I also happen to have a thing for popcorn chicken, so I got an order of that to round out my lunch. Oh, and based on the rave reviews I've read about their peach & lychee green tea, I ordered one of those as well. Let me just say, lunch was very satisfying! The sandwich was generously filled the fresh ingredients and the meat to veggie ratio was perfect. I'm not sure what the green sauce was that they finished the sammie off with but it was SO tasty!! I requested the popcorn chicken with medium heat and it was just spicy enough to leave my tongue tingling slightly. My friend saved an egg roll for me and it was also really good. (The tea by the way was very refreshing.) Now, this was my first time here but I never saw anyone come out to check the dining room or wipe down the tables after the lunch rush. This was especially concerning to me because they had a guy doing work on the windows who put his feet/ shoes on the tables right under said windows. Ewww. But aside from the parking challenge and the table hygiene/cleanliness, our visit was quite enjoyable and the food was very good. We would definitely return, but we'll have to plan around the lunch rush!

And I am SO glad we did because everything about our experience was seriously a 10/10! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was amazing. The gentleman at the front greeted us and escorted us to our table, and right away we felt welcomed and comfortable. Our server, Quang, was absolutely the sweetest! He was so friendly, outgoing, attentive, and helpful, especially when it came to giving us recommendations since it was our first time there. He had such a positive energy and really made our experience even better. And the FOOD!!! If I could give it 1,000/10, I seriously would. We tried the Ube Cloud, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Garlic Parmesan Fries, Spicy Shrimp Wontons, Corn Ribs, Garlic Butter Prawns, and Filet Garlic Noodles, and honestly, there wasn't ONE thing we didn't enjoy. Everything was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. But what really stood out to us was that it wasn't just the food -- it was the entire experience. The staff, the atmosphere, the music, and just the overall vibe made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. The music they were playing was amazing too! My friend and I were enjoying ourselves, eating good food, listening to good music, and just having such a great time. The whole place honestly had such a warm, homey feeling to it. When we were leaving, the gentleman who had greeted and seated us earlier ended up having a whole conversation with my friend and me. He was so sweet and personable! He mentioned that they may be opening a location in Culver City, and I told him I really hope they do because that would be much closer to home for me. I was even joking with him that if they open one, they need to bring the whole staff from this location over there too because everyone here was THAT amazing. At the same time, even if there ends up being a location closer to me, I would honestly still make the drive back to this one. When you visit somewhere for the first time and have such a great experience, that location becomes special. You can visit the same restaurant somewhere else, but the people, atmosphere, and experience aren't necessarily going to feel the same. This location definitely left that kind of impression on us. I really hope this review reaches management because the staff here deserves the recognition. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful, and Quang especially took such great care of us. This was our first time at VOX Kitchen, but it DEFINITELY won't be our last. We're already talking about coming back and bringing our family and more of our friends so we can all enjoy it together. 10/10 food. 10/10 service. 10/10 atmosphere. 10/10 experience. You guys definitely gained some returning customers!

Saltado fries with picanha: fries were deliciously fried so that it's crispy but doesn't get soft in the saltado sauce. The picanha was super tender and juicy! Vox pear salad: a refreshing starter with a healthy bed of arugula on top of burrata and pear. The balsamic glaze really pulled it together! Corn ribs: just finger licking delicious Chifa fried rice with filet mignon: fried rice was solid but didn't have the most wok hey flavor that I usually like. It was a bit too moist for fried rice. Filet mignon was a bit tough, but flavor was good! Garlic noodles with crispy salmon: yummy salmon and yummy garlic noodles (could be more garlicky). I wonder if these two could have been more cohesive together somehow, but both individual parts were good! My friend told me this restaurant's owner had a few other fusion restaurants in the plaza, so I'll have to try those as well!

BUSINESS PERMANENTLY CLOSING 6/28/26…read more Came here with some gals for afternoon tea. It's a cute little restaurant in Old Towne Orange. It's decorated really cute inside and out! Everything was creatively planned and decorated. It was also very clean and spacious inside and out. When you go in, there's a tea sampling station with the menus so you can see which tea you would like to order. Our server was really sweet, but she was the only one serving all of the tables, so she would come by every 10-20 minutes to check on us and some things we asked for didn't make it to the table. If they had more servers, customers would be happy with quicker service. The food and tea were delish! There were 6 of us so we shared a bunch of different teas. I really enjoyed the teas they had. The sweet and savory treats were really yummy! I really enjoyed them. Each person got 5 little savory treats and 4 sweet treats. I kind of wish we got one or two more for $45, but either way they were delicious! We had a great time and were sad to learn that the business will be permanently closing down tomorrow (6/28/26), I would have loved to continue going back!

We got a variety of dishes to try out, and overall it was just ok. The soup was good but was a little light on ingredients, the papaya salad was decent with a little kick, noodles didn't really have much truffle taste but was ok, green beans were crunchy and probably the best dish here, and the mango sticky rice was not ripe. Most of the mango pieces were hard / not sweet and proportion to the rice was off. The staff was friendly and the space is very open and welcoming. Not sure if I'd come back though unless I was craving the Asian fusion tea service.

Service: very hands on, everyone kept refilling our water glasses. Really appreciate them. The dishes came in accordingly and right on time, one after another. We ordered quite many dishes and desserts. -:- All were made fresh and cooked/baked perfectly. It's really hard to cook ribs perfectly. But this place did it! A lot of people think that "fall off the bones" are the perfect way for ribs dish. But actually that is incorrect. If you're curious of how perfectly made BBQ ribs supposed to taste like, feel free to come to this place. They'll show you how it should be. -:- this place made the best with all fresh ingredients. I never liked spread before. But here, they made their tuna spread from fresh ingredients and not from canned ingredients. If you'd like to know how good a spread tuna spread tastes like, this is the place to go! And don't get me started with their bread. Talking about fresh! They make cloud bread (my opinion). Deep fried cauliflower: first, they boiled/blanched the cauliflowers perfectly, breaded and deep fried. If you'd don't like veggies, you have to come here and get this dish. The sauce, they made it from fresh lime juice! Not from any bottled ones that majority restaurants out there use for short cuts. This including their tomato salad. Will we revisit? Yes! 1000% many many many more times!

Grilled branzino was spot on. Pork chop tasted good, solid flavor, but the center felt was cooked through and not as tender as I had hoped. Tomato salad was fresh. Fried cauliflower, nice crunch. Tapioca spaghetti was interesting (even though there's no tapioca, right?) but had a small complaint that the noodle was a little hard. Some like, some don't. Crispy potatoes - crunchy on the outside, soft inside. It hit the spot, one of the best crispy potatoes that I can remember. Bing butter & honey was a favorite too. Drinks were solid, ube pina colada didn't taste as good as it looks, but it's a lot of purple fun. Yuzu lemonade was refreshing. The missing 1 star is a mix of small gripes: the pork chop (a little dry inside), hard noodle, ube pina colada looked better than it tasted, and it's a little pricey for the amount of food. Would definitely come back, I wanted to try the pork shoulders next!

If you go late at night like I do, the ambience is really quiet and chill, which I actually like. It's a nice low-key spot to grab food without the usual crowd, and the food usually comes out pretty fast. Also, you have to try the popcorn chicken it's really good and worth adding to your order. Overall pretty good!…read more I came here with my family so I had a very large party. I was lucky to receive my dish pretty quickly, but some of the other people in my party had to wait quite a bit. But I think the staff were working as fast as they could so ultimately, i think service was fine. I tried the lomo saltado with beef, fries and garlic noodles. Overall tasted great. The fries still managed to have a crispy texture and had a sweet and savory sauce flavor to them. The beef cubes were tender and cooked just right. The noodles were fine as well. I liked that the noodles werent too heavy. The portion size is very large though, i was very full by the end of it. The green milk tea was good too. The milk, sugar, and tea ratios were all balanced and the flavor was subtle. It had an interesting flavor that reminded me of grass jelly and milk, but in a good way.

There is, however, one very important caveat for anyone with a seafood allergy: please ask questions before ordering. I was surprised to learn that almost every meat and vegetarian dish either contains seafood products or is prepared in the same oil or water as seafood dishes. The fries, vegetarian dishes and components, most meats (with the exception of the ribeye), and the noodles are therefore not options for someone with a seafood allergy. This was honestly a huge disappointment because I was dying to try the garlic noodles, corn ribs, tostada, and so many of the other incredible dishes on the menu. A much more prominent allergy note would be extremely helpful for guests who need to navigate the menu this way. Thankfully, what I could eat did not disappoint. The lychee lemonade was refreshing and delicious, and the pear salad was outstanding and beautifully prepared. For my entrée, the kitchen graciously prepared a steak fried rice without the seafood sauces and components. The steak was cooked perfectly, the rice was full of flavor, and the spicy green sauce on the side was a fantastic addition. And a special shoutout to our server, Tran, who was truly wonderful. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating throughout our entire lunch. The restaurant was packed and she was juggling a lot of tables, yet she remembered every detail of my allergy requests and even checked in when my customized dish took a little longer than expected. That level of attentiveness makes a difference. Vox is clearly a restaurant worth experiencing. The food is exciting, the flavors are memorable, and the service was excellent. For those without seafood allergies, there is an impressive amount to explore. For those of us with allergies, the options are unfortunately very very limited, but the kitchen and staff made a real effort to accommodate me, and I truly appreciated that.
