Everything here is amazing! Tom yum soup is really good to start and then for entrees: beef panang, pad se ew, masuman curry, any vegetable dish (I really enjoy the "I love eggplant" as they usually give you quite a bit of eggplant). We have been going to Thai Bite for about 5 years now and still is one of our staples for date night! The food is amazing; some of the must-haves for us are the appetizer sampler, Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, yellow curry (with tofu!), and the Glass Noodle Salad. The workers are so attentive and friendly - we always strike up a conversation with them. During the closures, I was so glad to see them so busy with to-go bags lined along their bar. I was in Laguna Niguel for an appointment at a local business nearby. Went to look for a place to eat nearby right after and this place looked good with all the positive reviews. I went in on a Saturday and it was fairly busy and just got to order from their lunch special. The price was pretty good for the amount of food I received. I ordered a pad Thai dish and noticed they also included 2 scoops of steamed rice. The pad Thai was flavorful but a bit too much peanut sauce for my liking. Now I know why he steamed rice was on the side. It tasted more like an entree that needed rice to even out the flavor. Don't get me wrong it was good but it was salty. The service was okay. I felt like I was ignored until I asked for the check then I was asked if I wanted more drink just as I was about to leave. I came here at noon on a Sunday. We were the only people in the restaurant. The inside is nice and comfortable. The booth we sat at was clean. The service was good, but the food was pretty meh. I ordered the pad thai and was disappointed to find almost no noodles in it. In addition it came with a salad and two large portions of white rice. The salad dressing and rice didn't taste fresh and the pad thai itself was incredibly greasy. The only really good thing I ate was the free soup but even that I found far too sweet. read more

I was sad to see my friend come in hungry and with high hopes of a curry dinner she had enjoyed many times, chicken with potatoes in curry sauce. We had not been here in several years.She looked hard to find the potatoes in the curry, since she likes them so much. Shewas able to find four small slices of potato. When she asked about this, the manager told that the cooks are not permitted to put more than five of these small slices in the dish. Was my friend lucky to find four of these little pieces She was also told that if she wanted more, she could pay $2. I found the atmosphere ungracious. Tables were close together, and to be told to pay $2 more than was already paid for a couple of potato slices was surprising. The meals are overpriced and not delicious. So glad we tried this place! The greeting by our young hostess/server was sweet. She actually asked us if the one table they had left was ok for us...how refreshing is that! First we tried the Tom Kah coconut soup with shrimp...delicious! The small portion has 4 shrimp!!! Next the Chicken Satay...5 good size pieces of tender chicken with two accompaniment! Again a winner! The Pad Thai was good too. Not out of the park but good. Last but not least the Mango with Coconut Sweet Sticky Rice - mango was ripe and sweet and nice covering of sauce on the rice. I can't remember how many times I've come to this place and it's definitely a staple in my revolving doors of places to eat in Aliso Viejo. They will make things spicier than the 1-5 that they give you but they want to make sure you're up for the challenge. My +1 and I went in the other night and asked for level 10 spiciness. The waitress seemed uneasy but we were serious. We ordered a noodle dish with wheat noodles, stir-fried veggies and chicken along with fried spring rolls and the pad ped catfish. All really delicious and delightfully spicy. Yet, he wanted more spice. I think at some point you lose all feeling in your tastebuds so if he wanted spicier he's going to have to ask for the chili paste condiments. MEH, it's very whatevers. I took a few coworkers out here for lunch and I expected better, we ordered off the lunch menu and I had the garlic fever with beef, and well they might as well call it garlic fever with veggies because that's what it pretty much was. when they brought out the plate i was surprised at how little meat there was so i moved all the meat to one side of the plate to get an accurate estimate, afterall i had to make an accurate report to yelp later so i wanted to be accurate. well my eyes didn't lie to me, in the entire bowl/plate it was about 25% meat and 75% mixed veggies. NOT what i wanted or expected. The salad was decent, the ginger taste was very strong so if you like that then yay if you don't then well sucks for you! I came out still hungry after paying over $11, would not go back again. This of course is different if you LOVE veggies and would prefer to pay $11 bucks for a plate of veggies with a tiny bit of meat cause then you'd be stoked!!! read more

Pleasant restaurant with good lunch specials and dinner entrees. The food is not spicy by my taste but most of the dishes I've ordered here are not spicy ones. I think there are spicy dishes on the menu because I remember a former co-worker saying after his lunch that what he had was really spicy. He rushed to get a Coke from the vending machine to dilute the spicy effect. That bodes well for those who like spicy. This is not like some of the Thai restaurants I ate at in the Valley (Sanamluang and Krua Thai in North Hollywood). I still like it. For those of you that live in the Valley, you can check out Sanamluang and Krua Thai. Back to the subject, the lunch special included a tangy and slightly sweet soup. My beef satay came with rice and a perfect peanut sauce. The portion was great for me and conducive to sharing. When I go back, I will order a chicken dish. Le yum! It was a cross between bagels or Thai food (I know, how much more torn can one be whilst hungry???). So we opted to try Thai Bite. I ordered the Crying Tiger lunch special, charbroiled marinated beef served with a spicy lemon grass vinaigrette, 2 rice boobs, and a salad with peanut dressing. It came with a fine-noodle soup which was good, but I also ordered a cup of tom yum goong. The bf ordered the Rama, sauteed beef with chili sauce and sauteed vegetables. My marinated beef was amazingly delicious, charbroiled to a perfectly tender medium rare. My soup was made similar to the way I had had it on Koh Samet. It wasn't as clear as usual, but sooooo damn good. I think our server was straight from the homeland. She sounded just like the friendly servers I'd encountered in the nicer restaurants around Bangkok. Bangkok Thai was my go-to in Long Beach. I just found my equivalent in the O.C. The decor of the restaurant is minimally chic and clean. It's in a busy shopping area. The prices are a little on the high side, but it is well worth the stuffed belly of excellent noms. read more

There's not many outstanding Thai restaurants around OC and Thai Bite is definitely one of the best. I've gone to Thai Bite twice already since moving to OC about 8 months ago from a very Asian neighborhood (626/San Gabriel Valley) that serves food till 4AM or all day. Both experiences has been very pleasant and in fact one of my favorite is the Gaeng Kari (yellow curry). TIP: If you are craving Thai food and you live in OC, then this is the place to go. read more

Either Seated For Dinner Or Take Out, I've Noticed He's Never Greeted Myself Or My Guest In A Kind Way. Ive Often Stayed Quiet And Observed Him As Well As Another Resident Waitress Treat Other Diners With More Enthusiasm and Would Skip Our Table, And Would Literally Stop and Check On Others Sitting Around My Table Or Booth. Worst Thai restaurant ever! Not authentic at all! And they over load (fillers) their entrees with bell peppers, celery, broccoli, carrot, cabbage, cilantro and chunks of onions. Practically every single entree. Also the male waiter with glasses is down right the epitome of rudeness. I requested if they can make it thai style? The response was No we can't do that. Why? Because they are not authentic! Another thing, the mango sticky rice is awful. Ok the mango is good but that's from nature and no cooking involved. The rice is hard and to chewy. I can go on. There are two Thai restaurants located in the vicinity of the Aliso Viejo Town Center. One is Thai Bite, which is located near the Ralphs grocery store and the second is a restaurant that seems to be constantly changing names and owners, which is located near Opah. The fact that Thai Bite has survived the test of time speaks miles. In short, Thai Bite offers good food in ample portions and affordable prices. Go during lunch and choose from any number of their wide variety of specials. These are not tiny lunch portions, however, they are heaping plates of freshly prepared food that come hot out of the kitchen. The entree selections cover a broad spectrum of noodled, spicy, mild, curried, and what have you flavors of Thai cuisine and virtually every one is customizeable to your meat or veggie of choice (including tofu). Brown rice is also available on the menu for the slightly more health inclined. So here are my recommendations: For veggie lovers, I definitely recommend the Broccoli Lover or Seasoned Gardened, preferably with tofu and brown rice. Even the more "meat and potatoes" type personalities may be strangely in awe at how delicious and flavorful these veggies can be. However, if you're strictly against anything remotely sounding vegetarian, I would suggest the Crying Tiger if you can handle the spice or the classic Pad Thai, which is a noodle dish that practically every Thai restaurant serves and can't really mess up. read more

Portions here are big! However, the food is just decent. I usually come here with my family when we feel like eating Thai food, but don't want to drive that far to get it. The food is decent, not that bad but not that great either. They give you A LOT of food for the price (each dish was ~$11) . A lot of people rave about the Crying Tiger dish. I tried it and it wasn't that great... It was just ... beef and lemon sauce. Am I missing something? It got really bland after a while. The red and green curries are good though, athough a bit bland compared to other places I've tried. The "Paradise Chicken" was just chicken in teriyaki sauce. The Thai Tea was good though! It was really sweet, the way real thai people make it. Get it if you're in the area and feel like eating quick Thai food. Otherwise, skip and head north for better Thai food! read more

The whole experience here was wonderful. We were promptly greeted and seated within the first minute of arriving. The ambiance was very cool and relaxing. Everyone that served us was extremely informative and very friendly. We had the beef satay and Thai dimsum for appetizers. They were absolutely delicious! The satay just melted off the stick. The dumplings were so fresh and the perfect amount of crispiness. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai - my usual. It was so flavorful, perfectly seasoned. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! My boyfriend got the goong yang. He loved the shrimp and rice, he said it was excellent. He wishes the veggies were stir fried instead of sautéed but that's just his preference.
