We traveled from Los Angeles to try this. We had Green Curry, Thai Beef Salad, Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Summer Rolls and Tom Yum. All excellent. The food was made fresh. Nothing had been pre-made. This business has been sold and has a new owner. It used to be a very successful and busy restaurant, so many take outs and so many people waiting to seat down and have a great Thai food. It's quiet now and food is not do great! They served me mushed up pad Thai and served a horrible cheap peace of meat instead of ribeye steak to my husband. It was bad! My wife and I were excited to come to one of our favorite Thai restaurants after their remodeling. The meal started great. Their spring rolls were delicious. Their Tom Yum soup was just ok. But I ordered their Crying Tiger rib-eye. What I received was an over cooked piece of overly well done cheap flank steak it was all gristle. Horrible. I lost my appetite. Unbearable. My wife ordered the pad Thai. The noodles were mush. They replaced the pad Thai with shrimp drunken noodles. This was good. The staff was mixed. Some were wonderful others rude. Ordered delivery from here twice. We loved the pineapple fried rice. The crab fried rice was a bit bland in my opinion. The pad thai was good, but only had the tiniest sliver of lime. The pad thai is not orange because they don't use ketchup like a lot of places do to accommodate 'American tastes'. A solid place for Thai food. read more

As a native Thai visiting Laguna beach I'm pretty surprised that I can find authentic Thai food in this area. I've been here twice already and the food is really great. They use great beef quality. They put a lot of Thai ingredients that you may not be able to find at other Thai restaurants here. Their dishes are really great qualities. I love their beef salad, Thai fried rice, drunken noodles, beef pad kaprao, and if they have mango sticky rice definitely try it! I just took my family there the other day and my family was happy with the food. Usually my dad is pretty picky with food and he only loves Thai food. Not sure why there is such a high rating for this place. Not only was the food below subpar and bland especially for Thai cuisine, but their customer service wasn't great either. I went to Thai Bros over the weekend and it was so disappointing. I used to go all the time and recently moved back and was craving Thai food. The veggie curry was bland and no longer had tofu. The fresh rolls spicy lime sauce tasted artificial and the red sauce was literally just Sriracha.. The menu has also been changed. The service was not that great either and no more beer and wine. This is hands down the best Thai food we've had in SoCal--and we've tried a lot of places! Everything was super authentic, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. We ordered Pad Thai, Crying Tiger, Papaya Salad, Green Curry, Khao Soi, and Krapow. Every dish was packed with flavor and had a unique, authentic taste. What stood out was how perfectly balanced everything was--not overly oily or over-seasoned like many other spots. Our absolute favorite was the Pad Thai. At first glance, it looked "plain" compared to the reddish versions you see elsewhere, but don't be fooled--it was incredibly tasty. The manager explained that they don't use ketchup for color like other restaurants, which makes it look lighter but taste way better. The Thai Tea was another highlight--the best I've had, even better than Cha Tra Mue! It was creamy, not overly sweet, and reminded me of the Thai tea I had in Bangkok. I enjoyed one at the restaurant and even ordered more to go. On top of the amazing food, the service was warm and friendly, the restaurant itself is cute and clean, and portions are generous. My best friend and I enjoyed takeout Crab Fried Rice: fried rice cooked with egg, onion, snow pea, tomato and crab meat (we asked for no tomatoes, no cucumbers--which come with rice dishes and extra egg made gluten-free). This crab fried rice is delicious!!! Highly recommend! The atmosphere makes you feel as if you have time traveled to Thailand. The service has always been friendly and knowledgeable. The best Thai food I've had in Orange County! It's a very small restaurant, with limited seating. We went on a weekend and it was rather busy but we were able to get seated quickly at the bar along the window. Service was excellent! Super friendly and attentive staff. The spring rolls were the best I've ever had in my life! Sooooo good! I feel like most places the insides are soggy and these were crispy and the insides were the perfect texture! The sauce was also delicious. We also got Pad See Ew and Pad Thai- both chicken. Really REALLY good & large portions which I was so excited about - because LEFT OVERS! Ordering Thai is always a crap shoot but I'm new to the area and I was DYING for Thai so I rolled the dice. I can't speak to ambience because you know I'm new and eating alone is not fun so had it delivered. I nervously opened the bag, that seriously felt like it was twenty pounds, and inside was a giant vat of curry and an equally giant box of krapow fried rice. The rice was my safety net in case the curry was ick. Sweet Jesus...it was steaming hot and that rice was heavenly. So so so SO GOOD. I wussed out on the curry and only got a number two spicy and should have gone 4 or 5 because it was milder than I like however everything so fresh! I even ate the veggies in the rice, they were perfectly crunchy, absolutely delicious. So if I get brave enough to eat alone or god forbid a date I will let y'all know about the in dining experience. Best Thai food in Laguna, hands down no comparison. My favorite is pad see ew - with shrimp. So fresh so delicious.

We have been going to this restaurant easily for over a decade. We would drive 30 minutes almost 2 to 3 times a week. Our entire family was in agreement that this was our favorite Thai Food. I don't know if there is new ownership, but something has changed. The last time I got the cashew nut chicken and it didn't taste the same, but I assumed maybe it was a one off so we all went tonight as a family and it truly has changed. The sticky rice that came with the sticky rice and peanut sauce was rock hard , the sticky rice that came with the mangoes was mushy, the chicken pieces in the cashew nut chicken are not the same size or quality anymore (used to be big slices of chicken breast and fresh vegetables) ,the spice level is inconsistent - my husband ordered medium spice, like he always does on the cashew chicken, and it came out scalding hot level. The only reason I gave two stars is because the waitress is the same and she's amazing. If it wasn't for her, I would give it zero. It's too bad because it was such an awesome place. They even repainted the inside, so it doesn't have that cozy feeling of one of the local neighborhood restaurants but now looks like it's trying to modernize like a dentist office. Lastly, there might be some issue with kitchen output because we had a table of 10 people and we received our food about 30 minutes before our son and his girlfriend received their food and then my other son didn't get his food till the time we were about to leave because the wrong order was brought out. It was the first time we didn't all get served our meal at the same time. It seemed a bit chaotic. I can only imagine it is because of ownership change but obviously I don't know that for sure but it just seems like there's something different. We will not be going back. read more

I should have passed on this place and waited to eat back in Anaheim. The Crispy Spring Rolls were generic frozen ones, just heated in oil (still cool) just to make them crispy. The Yellow Curry lacked yellow and curry, it was just starchy salted liquid. Pad Thai, was lacking in flavor beyond comprehension and to make it worse the noodles were overcooked. Cashew Chicken was edible but only because I was starving from time spent at the beach and I wanted some veggies. Service seemed to lack excitement that we were there and seemed a little hostile at first. We were a family of six with four dishes (2 Pad Thai, sadly). I order two Crispy Spring Roll appethaisers to make the hosts happy, they lightened up a bit and became friendlier. Therefore I increased stars from 1 to 2. Ambiance is okay. We have been coming to Laguna Thai Brothers for over 12 years when B and his ex-wife were running it. It was always EXCELLENT food and service. They welcomed us warmly, knew our order, delighted in our children growing in between visits. We have gotten take out a few times since the new ownership took over and the food remains excellent (I wonder if they kept the same chef?). However, today we went in for lunch and it was a complete fail. Despite being the only customers in the restaurant and multiple staff members, it took 15 minutes to get water. They also don't have a liquor license so we couldn't enjoy sake and beer, which we used to do. I asked for noodles to be prepared VERY simply for my kids (B always made them perfectly) and the waiter suggested a pineapple sauce on pad thai noodles. The food took FOREVER to arrive. When the girls' noodles finally arrived it had onions, spice, garlic, vegetables, etc. NOT SIMPLE or kid friendly (and my kids are typically excellent eaters). Really really disappointing experience which is a bummer because were so excited to have it on our weekend lunch rotation. read more

We just ate here and OMG, it is really good. I ordered a pad see ewe with beef and my husband got the cashew chicken. I specifically asked for my dish to be spicy and it did not disappoint. I loved how spicy my noodles were! Also meat on both our dishes weren't dry and highly flavorful. Also the Thai iced tea was super good; I told my husband it's better than the tea at our local place back home in San Diego. Never go to this place . We made reservations and they told us when we arrived that we had to wait 20 more minutes , which we did without a problem . The lady told us she would call my cell when table was ready while we waited outside . We went in to check on our table because we never received a call and the owner sat another party at the table that was supposed to be ours . They realized they made an error and all they did was say "we take responsibility and we are sorry " like wtf . We just drove an hour and they didn't even offer us any gift card or anything . They have only 1 table that fits a party of 5 in the entire place so basically we were screwed. .we would have to wait another hour for a table , which no way we were going to do .
