As far as I know this is a family run business owned by the same family for as long as I've been coming which is over 10 years. The family is so kind and service is amazing here. It's such a pleasure to talk to the ladies who work here that have gotten to know me over the years. On top of that, the food is awesome! Working and living nearby has given me the opportunity to try quite a few items on the menu. There's nothing less than good! The worst thing I can say is that some of their food is only good and not great. The green curry fried rice is especially delicious, but be careful on the spice! A solid place to start testing the levels is at #2 out of 5 and work your way up from there. A #4 spice can be challenging depending on your tolerance. The wonderful staff is the best part of your experience. They always have beaming smiles and are sweet, caring, and thoughtful. They get to know their regulars so we'll that eventually they'll just know you. San Antonio really doesn't have any more authentic or better Thai food than this. read more

To start off the ambiance is legit Thai. They have a rock wall of buddhas praying, and other Asian style decor. The service was great. They may be a little short handed but definitely not slow. The food was authentic. If you know Thai, or Lao food then this is the place for you! If you know what you want and it is not on the menu, no worries. They will make it for you. We ordered papaya salad with dried shrimp, and pickled crab. I got a house curry with pineapple and chicken. My wife snagged some cheese Eggrolls, and massaman curry. The food was excellent. The curry wasn't soupy, but thicker, like a great curry has. My wife said the cheese Eggrolls were great. I ordered the papaya salad as native hot, with a side of sticky rice. Oh my! It was so freaking good. I asked for padek. They said they didn't have it. Not too many Thai restaurants have it. Savory, not too garlicky, fresh, perfectly cooked. Taking the first bite was like that scene in Ratatouille when the food critic eats the meal and gets brought back to childhood. Came here for lunch with a coworker. The place smelled clean upon entering. Lots of great traditional Thai artifacts on the wall, they truly are beautiful. I had been wanting to go here for a while, but we were pretty disappointed with our experience. I'll start off with the good. The service was great. Friendly host greeted us as soon as we walked in and our server was very attentive the cheese rolls with the plum sauce were delicious!! Unfortunately the rest was not great. I got the roasted duck curry, and while the presentation was beautiful, the curry was way too sweet and the ingredients were not fresh. The tomatoes in the curry were rotten. Also I had specifically come here to eat a specialty Khao soi that I read reviews about from them, but it wasn't on the menu. My fiancé ordered the pad Thai, and most of the shrimp still had tails but like only half of the tails. It was like they had tried to remove the tails but not bothered to do a good job of it, and he had to pull several pieces out of his mouth. He also said all he tasted was peanuts which is such a shame. Pad Thai should be a beautiful blend of flavors, not just drowning in sauce. We will probably not be coming back. read more

And omg the first spoonful was so delectable or should I say, every bite was delectable. All the different veggies, peas, bamboo shoots, green peppers and creaminess of the sauce all come together in bursting flavors. The beef was a little on the harder side, I think it needs to be cooked on lower heat but other than that I can't complain! The gentleman greeted us immediately and the service was so quick. The pork smelled AMAZING but when I tasted it it was very lackluster. The sauce at the bottom had all the flavor but was too think to coat the meat and broccoli. I think if they thickened it up so you could spoon it over it would be A1. Now, on to my mango sticky rice tour of the area. I like the texture of the rice in this one as at some places it's not as "squishy" if you want to call it that. Only thing is I DO prefer when they serve the rice in the compact puck. For our mains we got Sawasdee salmon (ginger sauce) which was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were fresh. Thai fried rice was some of the best fried rice I've had along with the spicy noodles that had the perfect amount of spice. And the mango sticky rice!!!!!!!!! We ordered for an appetizer the Roll Delight which came with 3 spring rolls, 5 cheese rolls and 2 fresh rolls with house plum and peanut sauce on the side. For the main course we tried the Pad Woonsen with the meat combination over glass noodles. Delicious flavor, perfect spice level, and a large portion to share. My favorite dish was the special of the day: crispy noodle curry with your choice of meat. I chose red curry with pork. It was insanely wonderful. The curry here is some of the best I've tried. Creamy and flavorful with the right amount of kick, this is something I could eat often. There were large chunks of eggplant that soaked up the curry flavor without getting soggy. Well while the flavor of the Duck Curry was ok, it became super unappetizing because the Duck had like veins & fat attached to it and just looked super gross. The rice was in such a small box we all laughed when I opened my bag a mini portion of rice.
