Take this review with a grain of salt, this was a DoorDash order.... Tom Kha wasn't sour, which is the first sign something isn't great. There was just no galangal/lime/any acidity and so the whole soup was off. Spring rolls were bland. Couldn't even bring myself to bite into more than one. Calamari wasn't crispy at all, though the squid itself had the perfect texture. Disappointing, because i really wanted to eat it The thai tea was also sad, barely orange. I've never had it like that, this is a first for me and I didn't like it Only good thing we got were the crab rangoons. He said he buys expensive Angus, no one else complains, and implied that it might just be me. He offered a remake but no refund. Giving 2 stars because my son ate about a fifth of the pad see ew (I told him it was probably safe even if it didn't taste great), but then he asked for dinner somewhere else. Prices recently increased, so my order total was $65 takeout for 2x spring rolls and 2x pad se ew. Really great lovely service. Our waitress was very nice and felt like she fit in with our group well. I got the green curry with chicken and it came with rice. Mixed feelings about this restaurant. What's good is really good--the pad see ew and Thai BBQ pork were both delicious! You can tell the noodles in the pad see ew were homemade and both dishes had great flavor. I would probably skip the Thai green curry, though, as it was pretty bland and lacked flavor. This was a nice experience. The dishes we had were good. The crispy calamari were by far my favorite. The pad Thai was missing the iconic peanuts but my daughter enjoyed the flavors. I had the Panang Curry with pork which is my favorite Thai dish. Very good but too watery and the heat was just right (I like it Thai hot). Hubby ordered food from Sabai tonight from GrubHub. We tried the Thai Lab Kai for the first time and it was great. We had the Pineapple Fried Rice with shrimp and Pad Thai with chicken. We really wish we could like this as much as everyone else. We tried it again after staying away for a nearly a year, and it was better than last time but still just ok for us. Tried the drunken noodles with chicken and added shrimp, based on the recommendation of a coworker who said these are the best drunken noodles in SA. The portion was huge and it was served fresh and hot. Good, but they weren't the best in SA for me. DH had the pineapple fried rice. Again, good with a very large portion, but not the best he's had either. His favorite place serves it topped with toasted cashews for extra flavor and a bit of crunch, and this one had nothing like that. For a starter we had hot and crispy crab Rangoon. Service was good and everything arrived quickly, our server made sure our drinks were always full. It wasn't very crowded when we went, so there were plenty of clean tables to choose from. I think there were only two other occupied tables. Even though the servers were busy taking down the holiday decorations, they were attentive to their respective guests. Solid Thai food experience. My wife and I had Calamari and slit the Chicken Pad Thai for a Sunday lunch. The calamari batter was crisp and tasty. It came with the traditional Thai sweet and sour dipping sauce which complimented the calamari crispness just right. The Chicken Pad Thai had clean ingredients and noodles were done just right. We got a 2 out of 5 spice level since we don't like it too spicy. Next time we will do a 3 level since we thought it could've been a bit spicier. The chicken had a good flavor but adding the cucumber, onion and cilantro that was on the side was a game changer - much better with those! My favorite Thai restaurant!!! I come every week to get the chicken and veggie soup. It's so nourishing and delicious and helps me with my stomach issues. I also love the stir fried chicken and veggies. The high quality of chicken and veggies are much better than other restaurants I've been to and they have very large portions. The first time I ordered from this place was about a year ago. My husband is keto, so I don't get to eat Thai food very often. The first time I ordered from there the food was amazing. I was so pumped to finally find a Thai restaurant that actually had flavor. My go to dishes are Pad See Ew and Yellow curry, which I got. The second and third time I ordered from here were really good too. The fourth time however, the noodles in the Pad See Ew were overcooked and mushy but also not cut right. Most of the rice noodles 2-3 inches wide. The rice in the Mango and Sticky rice was overcooked and super mushy as well, and the potatoes and carrots in the Yellow Curry were undercooked and crunchy. I called the restaurant to ask to speak to a manager, but the girl who answered said they weren't there. I was like hey. I just wanted to let you know that I wasn't happy with my order. Everyone has a bad night, but you don't know something's wrong unless someone says something. I didn't want a refund, because like I said, everyone can have a bad night. I just wanted to make someone aware in case they had a new cook or something. Well, my husband and I were feeling under the weather and decided to order from here. We got two orders of Pad See Ew, Yellow Curry, and the Tom Ka soup. Again, the noodles were very overcooked and mushy, this time the yellow curry didn't have much flavor and the potatoes and carrots were undercooked and crunchy again. The Pad See Ew wasn't as flavorful as well. Unfortunately it looks like the quality is going downhill, so I'll be in the hunt again for good Thai food in our area. The portions are a very good size with enough to take home while the ingredients tasted fresh and excellent. The Drunken Noodle had great flavor with a mix of vegetables and an option of protein. They also provide three sauces to add for extra spiciness - dry flakes, oil, or chunky sauce. For noodles, they use the large rice noodles that are cut into small squares. Noemi fully enjoyed her crab rangoons, but I thought the spring rolls were just the opposite... not much flavor. A small hole in the wall Thai restaurant in Stone Oak. The venue is beautiful but the main character here is the food. The Massaman curry is my favorite but I've tried other dishes. My boyfriend as well rotates between the mixed vegetables plate and the pad cashew. Everything we have tried here is full of flavor and cooked to your liking. You can choose between adding, chicken, beef, or both to most dishes and you choose your spice level as well. The service is generally great and I have had no issues. This is a great place for Thai Food. It took over a spot that was once used by Thai Chili. Thai Chili was missed when they closed this location, but Sabai has been a great addition. I did not have any issues with finding parking. We were greeted by staff upon arrival and were seated immediately. The staff there were all very nice. My fiance and I are practicing Dry January, so we just ordered waters to drink My fiance ordered Tom Kha. She likes the presentation of the soup as it comes in a big bowl with a flame in the middle. The food here comes spice level that you choose from 1 to 5. My fiance is not a big fan of spicy food, so she got a level 1. She really loved the taste of the soup. I ordered the Pad See Ew and chose Seafood as my protein. I chose a spice level of 5. The presentation of my food was really nice. Since I ordered seafood as my protein, it came with mussels, calamari, shrimp, and scallops. I found the dish to be really delicious and will order it again. The level of spice was a nice addition. While my pad see yew was really tasty, I ordered basil fresh rolls. After eating a couple I noticed that the noodles were missing, which is a key ingredient. After telling the waitress who was very kind, apologized. As I was heading out they offered an ice cream. I felt that the item should have been removed altogether. Started with the crab rangoons and they were extremely dark/almost burnt and filled with a small amount of the crab. Next I ordered the Panang Curry, Chicken, and it was good. Stopped over with wife for a Thursday evening meal. It was an hour before closing. The restaurant is located at a shopping center and parking is plentiful. The place was not busy and we were seated immediately. Our drink orders were taking. The waitress was new and in training but we were not in any hurry. The restaurant was clean, tastefully decorated. No tablecloth but had reusable silverware. We ordered the rolls and papaya salad for appetizers. Both were delicious and the papaya salad was spicy hot as requested. I was feeling under the weather recently and needed some good soup to bring me back to life. Sabai is just down the street from me, so I decided to give their chicken noodle soup a try. I had it delivered and it was just as fresh and hot as if I had it in the restaurant. Sadly, I didn't get a picture of it since I was feeling rather pitiful. But wow, this soup was exactly what I needed. The broth is the backbone of every good soup, and this one was steeped in flavor and bursting with just the right amount of fried garlic, green onion and bean sprouts. The addition of the Chinese broccoli was perfect but I'm going to add extra next time. It lends a nice freshness and I just love the flavor of it. The serving of rice noodles was enough to feed a small army and I had enough for two portions of soup. They didn't skimp on the chicken and included a generous portion. Don't forget to squeeze in the fresh lime and you have yourself the perfect soup to comfort you when sick or just to enjoy on a chilly day. Saturday I was driving so I googled a place "near me" & was directed to this place. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai & Summer Rolls, DELICIOUS!! They were busy and understaffed. The female staff member seemed very stressed. When I first walked in there were people sitting at the front area tables waiting for their to go orders & I waited for a few minutes but there wasn't a staff member so I used my phone to place an order to go. As I was finishing up the female asked if I needed help, I let her know I was just placing an order on my phone since no one was up front. She acted offended and told me it was busy & she couldn't be up front all the time. I giggled and told her I wasn't bothered by it & it was totally ok.
