I really hate writing a negative review, but our experience at Thai by Day last night was so dreadful as to deserve reviewing. The staff were very nice. That needs saying at the start, but it was downhill from there. The place: hard floor, walls, ceiling. It was pretty loud even though half full; I would hate to subject my ears to the noise level is the place was really full. The even moderately quiet restaurant seem to be a thing of the past. We had a shrimp tempura dish. Good sauce, but the tempura was soggy and doughy, and the shrimp recently unfrozen. Disgusting. There was then a chicken concoction on something else: dry, hard to chew. We left, our dinner unfinished, and went to the always-good Evviva Wood-Fired Pizza next door. To be fair, Thai by Day comped our dinner and drinks. But we will not be back. read more

Happened to be in the area, and popped over for lunch. Thai Iced tea with the sea salt creme top? Delicious, but $4.50. Pad thai was decent. Flavorful and not soupy like some places. Family ordered other dishes, and the consensus overall was very good. It is a bit on the pricey side, likely because it's more "fusion". Food is plated well, but service was kinda slow. It's a new spot though so I'm sure things will even out when the rhythm is down. And medium spice here is quite spicy. In my opinion anyways. There's only 3 options, mild medium, hot. read more

Thai by Day has the best authentic Thai food in town! We stopped by during their grand opening and was very impressed with the delicious food and excellent presentation. The soft shell crab salad was prepared to perfection. The Thai fusion beef jerky was something new I've never seen before and was fantastic. Finally, the Kao Mok Gai - seasoned chicken on yellow Thai rice was very delicious. Topped the meal off with Day's special creation of Sea Salt Cream Top drink. Reasonable prices and free parking makes this the perfect spot when you're craving authentic Thai food! read more

The papaya salad was sheer bliss. It's hard to find a restaurant that uses lime juice, rather than fish sauce- just the way I love it. YAY! The massamun beef was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, too. This place was not ready to be open. We went in starving and excited by what we saw on yelp. We were handed drink and dinner menus. Let me start by saying that the menu prices are $13-$18, which I consider to be "higher end" for a Thai place. The menu however was laminated and looked like a pho menu. Our server took our drink order (2 drinks off their menu) and then the bartender came back to our table because the server couldn't remember what we had ordered. The drinks were ok. The strongest part was the slippery gummy bears in them. My husband ordered a whiskey drink and I had a Sakitini. Gummy bears soaked in vodka were an odd addition. After the drinks were delivered we were never spoken to again. We sat there for 30 min with our menus and never were asked if we wanted to order. So finally we asked for the check and paid $25 for 2 odd drinks and left and went to get dinner else where. We will not be back which it too bad because I really wanted to like this place. read more

This place rescued our Sunday lunch plans. We were hoping to go to Thai Cottage but it wasn't open yet! Desperate for Thai food, we tried this place out. It was little pricey, but the food was sooooo good! We got the BBQ pork fried rice, spicy, crispy garlic chicken spicy, takoyaki, crab wonton, pad see ew, yellow curry, and a chicken/veggie plate. The whole family was impressed and honestly, we ended lunch as a batch of happy campers. The only thing was that the crispy garlic chicken was a little over cooked, but the taste/flavor of it and all the dishes were abundant! Would definitely go again!! read more

Thai by Day is by far the BEST Thai restaurant in the area. They don't just make excellent food at great prices, they also have the most genuine, king and caring staff. You can tell they put their heart into every dish! Ask about the not so usual items on the menu. It's like finding the end of the rainbow. Quintessential Thai food restaurant. Earning 5 stars for Originality, taste, aroma, presentation and service. Its not going to get any better than this. Located by the Edmonds Kingston ferry dock with plenty of no fee parking this is a relatively new place as of 6/22/18 and yet they've hit their stride in all aspects. Don't go without trying the Sea Salt Tea Cream Top (beverage), The Phad Mee Gati, and Green Tea Ice Cream Sandwich (dessert for 2). We're still smiling, its that good. read more

Thai by Day is our favorite thai spot & trust me, we eat enough Thai food to be connoisseurs. We've dined in a few times (prior to quarantine), but we've become consistent take-out patrons. The food itself is excellent. The portions are great, the little shrimp chip appetizer they provide is probably my new favorite snack, and you can always taste the freshness of their cuisine. Our favorites are their tofu PhadThai and Phad See Ew! The service itself (as far as take out goes) is wonderful, and anyone craving Thai food these quarantine days need to give Thai by Day a try. I don't know very many places that will remember your name just by your voice when ordering take out . Not to mention, the lovely lady that runs the front is so charismatic and funny! Popped in for a late night meal on Saturday night. Received very good service, i.e. the servers were nice and attentive. I only ordered the Pa See Ew with chicken, medium spicy level. It tasted great and there was plenty for a meal. The heat level was perfect! I will be back for more. read more

This place was awesome. Best experience I've ever had eating at a restaurant with my 5 and 2 year olds. 5 year old ordered off the regular menu and 2 year old has the kids plate. They both came in super cool train plates. Our waitress delivered extra napkins and silverware without our asking, was very attentive, and made sure our kids were happy with everything. The adults good was delicious! We had Pad Thai and Panang Noodles (came with fried noodles). Go eat here, especially if you have children! read more

Cute little place in Edmonds. This Thai restaurant is amazing. If you're looking for good food with great service, please come down here. It said "Thai Fusion" I would say the combination of Thai and Japanese is a good balanced. They compliment each other I loved the dish called Kao Pad Unagi. It was Thai style fried rice and topped with Grilled Juicy Japanese Eel together withJapanese pickled. Loved it!!! They also have lots and lots of good things here which I loved to try them all. My fiancé and I were there last night. First off, we didn't realize they were closing soon and ended up staying almost an hour afterwards. Po, who was our server, never made us feel rushed and told us several times there was no hurry to leave. There was a mix up in the spice factor on my fiancé's curry dish. Not only did she bring him a new dish but she brought me another dish of mine as well (even though mine was fine) It's rare to get service like that nowadays! OMG! This place is a gem! We had an extra wait in the ferry line and wanted to grab a bite. Called it in, and went over 10 minutes later. It was ready. The gal who we paid was super friendly and super appreciative (during COVID times). We got Phad Thai, Thai fried rice, and Tom Kha soup. All were over-the-top delicious!!!!! We were walking along the harbor and happened to see this place nearby with great yelp reviews. It was worth stopping in! Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. I have found it very hard to find good Thai food over the years. Everyone got something different and all was good: pad kee mow (sp?), crab fried rice, thom gong soup, tofu and veggies, yellow curry. The medium spice wasn't actually that spicy in my opinion, but I can handle a lot. Sorry if I misspelled the entrees, but def give this place a try if you like thai! read more

My only regrets are not finding this gem of a restaurant sooner and the days when we luck out on the ferry lines and don't have time to pick up food while waiting. The food is delicious and several dishes taste just like the street vendors in Chiang Mai we have visited in the past. They are fast and so accommodating (this last Friday, the owner whipped our order together in 5 mins and put in free shrimp chips as well) Our kids love the Pad Se Ew. Excellent all around. We ordered Pad Sew, Pad Thai, Panang Curry and chicken katsu with thai fried rice. It was flavorful and they had salty and perfectly sour pickled vegetables served with the fried rice. The service was incredible, we didn't have to ask for anything.
