Excellent dishes! One woman show and has been in this small town for 20+ years. Very hard working woman. Of course, you can't expect to get all your authentic flavors and dishes from the country side of Illinois but her cooking exceeds expectations and extensive for being a small restaurant. Highly recommend!

I've had Thai food all over the US so comparing this to Americanized Thai. It's hard to find a good Pad Thai in the Illinois Valley and after eating here, I'm still in search of a good Pad Thai. I've never seen a yellow Pad Thai before, so that was a red flag. Up till now it's always been clear or red. There was a taste of curry, which would explain the yellow. Never had a Pad Thai with curry in it before. The chicken had no flavor and there were some funky colors strips in it. See pictures. I commonly get sprouts and crushed peanuts and received cabbage with nothing else What was right was the spice and amount of chicken. A medium spice brings you temperature up but doesn't slow down your eating with gulps of water. There were sufficient amount of chicken, but I would have liked to see more. All said, I would NOT eat here again. For a $12.95 lunch I would have expected more. ps...it looked like they were remodeling with cardboard taped to the floor.

I stopped in here for carry out. I live in the Logan Square neighborhood of ChIcago, where there is a lot of Thai food. And this curry is some of the best I have had. Authentic, delicious, spicy. I highly recommend!

Good food! No alcohol costs them a star, as does over charging us for beer corkage. We did some good skydives today, and this was a fitting dinner to follow.

spring rolls: lettuce and cucumber in a wonton wrapper covered with sauce and peanuts. Thai coffee in background.

Thai Café in Ottawa is a must-stop! Always hits the spot. The peanut butter chicken skewers go crazy--make sure you order at least two!

I've eaten here a few times and it's always been great. I'll pick a new menu item every time.

The pad Thai is the best I've ever tasted and the massaman curry isn't bad either if you want something with a little spice.

Coming from someone who is Lao, Oy's Thai is the most authentic, delicious, consistent Thai spot…read morethat we have found in the south suburbs. Their prices are extremely reasonable, the quality and amount of food you receive is like down to a science. They offer ~$9.00 lunch specials every weekday until 3pm (and specials for students) it really doesn't get any better than that like wow! The staff are always very friendly and accommodating and the food comes out fresh and hot. What else could you possibly ask for. We'll continue to recommend Oy's to our friends for authentic and delicious Thai cuisine.

Oy's came highly recommended--and honestly, it more than lived up to the hype. As someone not super…read morefamiliar with Thai cuisine, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but everything from the flavors to the portions was top-notch. We ordered for pickup and the food was ready in just 15 minutes. The inside felt modern and minimal, with limited seating and a steady crowd of diners and takeout customers, which is always a good sign. We tried the shrimp spring rolls, chicken Pad Thai, drunken noodles with chicken, and the chicken pineapple fried rice. First off, those shrimp spring rolls? 10/10. Super fresh, light, and the perfect way to kick off the meal. The Pad Thai--Oy's signature dish--was the highlight. Easily the best I've ever had. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The drunken noodles were right behind it--loaded with flavor and a sneaky little heat. We went with the normal spice level, but beware: those little red peppers pack a serious punch. (Keep a tissue handy... or a glass of milk. Or both.) The pineapple fried rice was solid. Not quite as bold or savory as Chinese-style fried rice, but still tasty and a nice complement to the spicier mains. Overall, Oy's delivers some of the best Thai food in the south suburbs. The menu is short and sweet, but every dish is cooked to order--and it shows. If you're new to Thai food or just looking to level up your takeout game, this spot is absolutely worth it.

Service has always been good when I went. I've probably gone under 10x and given enough tries at the new and old locations. Every time there's always something that goes wrong but I continue to come back because family and friends love it and I always try something else when I come in. Food is always edible most of the time but not great. I've had hair in my burger before. Other Burgers were overcooked and flavorless. Mac and cheese is disgusting. Sushi menu is kinda repeat and all fried / tempora. Pretty basic and boring and if you're gluten free you're kinda SOL. Crab Rangoon is imitation crab. Gross. This last time I went for a goodbye dinner to a coworker moving: Drinks- Table got a pitcher of white sangria- it was ok but way overpriced. I got the strawberry basil lemonade drink and it sucked. It lacked taste. I'n convinced it was water and not lemonade, nothing puree about it, & there was no basil in it besides used as a piece of decor. Sushi- I showed the waitress a picture of the roll I saw on someone review and that it claimed it was a Ottawa roll but it was not and 10/10 a different role that was given to me. Luckily I will eat anything and it actually wasn't bad but what the hell. Truffle fries- beer battered. Yuck. Mac & Cheese- I thought it used to be not bad but I got it this last time as a side and it was different noodles, thick, no creamy cheese sauce, & no seasoning. Dessert- 10/10 made the trip worth it. I hate fried ice cream and not a huge brownie person but that dessert was amazing. The beignet with caramel- yessss. I never get the hype of the food but think it's because there's not much around like this for locals. If someone wanted to go back I wouldn't not go but I am not a fan.
