Decided to try Thai food again today and it was AMAZING! The portions were huge and delicious tasting Medium is perfect amount of heat in my opinion. Can request a side of spices to add yourself as you like. Super clean restaurant and extremely open for what I thought was a ToGo place! Happy to see inside seating available for our first visit so we could enjoy our food hot and fresh! Employees were very friendly and helped us by giving suggestions. read more

Best Thai food around! I love their yellow curry which is what I usually get but this time I got their pad Thai which was yummy too! I get both of them with fried tofu . I've had them w/chicken too. The service is quick, and the food is absolutely delicious. Ordering is easy with a self-service kiosk, and once you place your order, the receipt prints out. You can either dine in or take your meal to go. The portion sizes are generous -- I ordered the Pad Thai and nearly couldn't finish it all! The space is clean, modern, and spacious, so there's plenty of room for a large crowd. Definitely a great spot for a satisfying meal. read more

I can't really leave a review because I never got any food. I have half an hour for lunch at the hospital. I got in my car, drove across the street, parked walked in. That was probably six minutes. I ordered and waited at least 20 minutes with no sign of food so I asked the lady at the counter if it was ready and told her I had to leave to get back to work. She said it was not ready and she would refund my money. I have absolutely no idea how she plans to do that since she doesn't really know who I am, but she then turned her back on me and went back to work. I probably shouldn't write a review when I am very hangry, but I haven't eaten since noon and it is now 7:30 PM and I will not get home until midnight. There is nothing open when I get off work at 11 and the hospital cafeteria closes at 6:30 so I guess I am on what they call a starvation diet. I've never been to this restaurant before and I just wish there would've been some warning about how long it would take before I ordered because I certainly would've gone somewhere else knowing that I did not have very long to wait. I certainly won't be going back. read more

Definitely 2go food quality here as expected! My pad thai was not authentic by any means, but it wasn't too bad at all! Pad Thai flavor was ok, but I liked that they didn't salt up the dish! It was a well-blended mild flavor. Giving them 3 stars so they can improve on their wait times for orders. 40 minutes wait for one pad thai 2go order is pretty rough! Hopefully they can hire more people. I saw only 2 employees working, and both of them should have been pulling their hair out by the looks of how many stacks of orders were piling up, but they were really calm, and super nice! So kudos to them!!! Will go back if they improve on their wait times! read more

We ordered Togo/pickup. I got the Pad Siu Ew and it was really yummy! You have the option to choose between 4 different spices and I got Hot with a step above being Thai Hot. I went with hot because at other Thai places Hot I gives a good kick but the hot here was lacking in spicyness. Nonetheless the flavors were really good! And the yellow curry was really yummy! My brother loved this place. I've had this place a few times and they don't disappoint. Food is pretty good for being "fast-food" style. We have the pad Thai with steak. And it's really good. we also have their potstickers - those are always well done and crunchy!! Love them. They give you hot and sour sauce and this sauce that my brother calls "secret sauce". It's a cross between hoisin sauce and teriyaki sauce and eel sauce. It's super super good. I put it in my pad Thai and dip my pot stickers in it. We have always had great pad Thai from here. There are 10% coupons in news articles and newspapers so look for one of those!! read more

My friend introduced me to this place sometime last year but I've always been afraid to order because I'm not sure how it worked? Today I decided to jump in and what I found out is that they have different bases so you can order a curry or a rice or noodles and then all you do is add a protein to it. I added shrimp since I love shrimp but you can also add chicken, beef, or tofu! You can also get mild medium hot or Thai hot. I'm not a sissy :) , but I did order medium and it was perfect!!! As soon as I tasted the creamy silky texture of the curry, which I think was the coconut milk effect, I just instantly felt a zing in my body! I love this place! My food was piping hot and the shrimp were nice and clean, and of course....fat!! My favorite! I'm not ashamed to say I ate almost the entire bowl! And I feel great, this is definitely one to add to my list of returning for more yumminess! The staff was nice and they do have a rewards program as well. This place is my go-to for Thai takeout. Very easy online ordering, with items clearly marked as gluten free, and easy to customize by adding or removing individual items. I asked for medium level of spice just to calibrate; was delicious but not really spicy; I prefer a bit more zing so next time I'll step it up to Hot. Only after we received our order and saw the receipt did I check Google. Web link on Google works and it appears they changed the name of the item and removed roti from the name. 2. To go portions are small for the price. Chicken larb was enough for like 2 people and had only one piece of lettuce. Papaya salad was also small and 1/2 the container was garnishes (carrots/cabbage). 3. For a noodle soup, any other place would put noodles separate from its broth. My khao soi came all in one container. Forgot to take a photo while it was in the container but there's an old photo of it somewhere on Yelp. 4. Crab fried rice had barely any crab. 5. There was no white rice. Places usually provide some white rice regardless if you order fried rice but I guess that's an extra charge here. 6. We ordered medium spicy for majority of the dishes because one person can't handle spicy but everything came out mild tasting. Even my khao soi, which I ordered hot spicy level, came out mild. 7. Thai tea was missing. After ordering, I asked the person on the phone to read back my order to me. She listed everything I had ordered including the thai tea. But after the order was picked up (not by me), the thai tea was not included in the order. It's a bit out of the way from here to there so no one is going to drive all the way back to get it. I went elsewhere close by for the thai tea. Nothing super fancy just good Thai comfort food! Good options of appetizers, mains, noodles, combos, curry's and desserts. I ordered the red curry chicken with a hot spice level, the usual as you'll know a bite of hades is in order. A fellow diner who ordered moments before us got the food first and was practically done by the time mine and my other diners food came. Granted they were getting busier and as such I can't hold that as a gripe against them. The food itself, meh. Presentation wasn't bad, but the floating red oil was slightly off putting. The chicken was pretty good and was accented by the flashing neon of green peppers and flare orange carrots. Yet the LEGION of bamboo shoots was quite overpowering. The curry itself was not hot (taste) in the slightest, I'd personally pinpoint it as a mild. The curry itself shared much the same flavor as the rice, garlic and sweet notes while lacking the creaminess/thickened texture of a non-soupy curry. Yes, the rice taste was...off. Overall I was not a fan. It's not bad, it just wasn't great. As stated before, the staff was really nice and the place was well cared for, positives for sure. And of course as always this is simply ONE of many menu items and just because this wasn't a winner, it doesn't mean they don't have one. But, I personally wouldn't endorse them on the curry.

We got the egg rolls, yellow curry with chicken, and the fried rice with chicken. Ordered "medium" for the spice level, and for us it was perfect. The chicken was so good, reminded me of a rotisserie chicken. Delicious. The sauce they offered for the egg rolls was also very tasty. Can't wait to come back, and try some other dishes.

It was a mixed dining experience and leaves me feeling a little disappointed as Chon Thai Food is not that special restaurant any longer it seems. We will likely return at some point but can't say I'm excited.
