We were excited to try out the new Thai Chili 2 go that recently opened up. We were a little bit skeptical since there is already two other Thai places on the same stretch of road, but we were pleasantly surprised! They created a safe space during this Covid time. The food is delicious and fresh. They were very fast and friendly. The restaurant was very clean. Our only problem is one of our curry dishes was supposed to have tofu, but when we got home to eat it, it was made with chicken. Have wanted to try out this spot since it arrived in Ahwatukee. Last night we decided it was time! I ordered the fried rice with steamed tofu, broccoli and mushrooms. My b-friend got the pad tai add mushrooms. Once we go it home and opened it all up my fried rice had no tofu and his pad tai had no mushrooms. We immediately called the store and they apologized and gave us a 20% off coupon for next visit. The funny thing is, the "protein" part of the order is said to be mandatory. Mine was for tofu. So how do you forget the main ingredient? Overall the taste was good, not too much salt and hot at arrival. And if you like coconut curry the green curry is to die for! The missing order was disappointing but I do not want to rule out so we will give it another try to see if it gets better! read more

I have been coming here for 4 months now my family and I love it. The food is tasty especially when ordered medium or hot. We always order the pad prig noodles with chicken and get one extra vegetable, bamboo shoots or scallions, sometimes with extra sauce. I usually get 2 of these orders just to have extended days of leftovers. We also order the panang chicken. The portions size are generous and the food tastes great on the 2nd day. It was ok I guess. I had the pad seiw. It was gross. I had to add sauce from my daughters dumplings to make it so I was able to eat it. The flavor was not only lacking but not good. My friend got the red curry and I tried it and it had a nice flavor. Her son got a Thai fried rice and he said it was yummy. My husband got the drunken noodles and said they were ok. The service was tragic to say the least, knew the moment I walked in that this couldn't possibly be the Thai food I was expecting. That should have been my first clue. However I decided to give it a chance as my co-workers seem to always go here for lunch. However I ended up with a total of $19.70 for what?? I have no idea. Bland Thai food? Now there's an oxymoron that I thought I'd never have to use. Ordered the tom yum gai. Knew I was probably in trouble when they asked what kind of "protein" I wanted in it. Gai means chicken in Thai. So I decided to switch it up and ordered shrimp as my "protein" which should've now made it tom yum goong. But enough of the linguistic nerdiness. Anyway the soup comes out and I can immediately detect the farty smell of American white rice instead of jasmine rice. Then I taste the soup. Bland except for chili heat and sourness. There was no lime leaf or lemongrass as advertised. The shrimp was also bland and tasted as if it had been boiled in plain, unsalted water. Sorry, not impressed this time around, usually this place is pretty good. Four different dishes, mosty Thai Chowmein dry with huge pieces of yellow onion. Thai fried rice, the same. Whats with these huge pieces of onion in these dishes? small, thin cut slivers I understand, but an entre peel of onion? Also, the women working there today, may have been having a bad day, didn't seem friendly at all. But, that wasn't the issue. Went here for the first time, might be the last. It was just so so. We dined in. There are 2 tables for two people and 2 tables for four people. Plenty of social distancing. The decor is very sparse .This is pretty much a takeout place everything is in disposable bowls. No drive through and they don't take cash.We've been watching this place being built and get ready to open but it's not what we expected. We received three coupons in the mail and we used the 20% coupon today and it took two employees to figure out how to takeoff the 20% ,we can't be the first ones to bring in a coupon or can we? Their fountain drink selection was very sparse as most of the Sodas were out of order. We had Thai fried rice & pad Thai, they were both $11 which is a little pricey. The Thai fried rice was pretty good with chicken ,but the sauce on the pad Thai there was something off about it ,not sure what it was ,but not typical pad Thai sauce -it also had one piece of broccoli in it which pad Thai never has broccoli in it ,so not sure where the broccoli came from. Our food was cooked hot & cooked to order. Ordering took longer than it should have, but order came out fairly fast after that. Yummy chicken pad Thai and chicken drunken noodles. Give them a try! Restaurant is clean and spacious given it's relatively small size. I've tried them before at their Elliot Rd location (near 101). I didn't let the other poor reviews influence my decision to give this location a try and I am glad. It was a good meal for dinner last night. Same quality level from the other location. I came here with my daughter and will definitely be back! We got here a little early but they let us order and started heating up the kitchen. They recommended the yellow curry for me and the pad siew for my daughter. We added beef to both. Both meals were fantastic! So complex and wonderful in flavor. Service was excellent. OMG Thai food I think not! Ive been to Thailand and I'm half Asian. Over priced and tasteless. If you get add ons to your order they just sprinkle them on top and not cooked together. Thai Chili 2go is good. Always clean and easy. Online ordering is super easy. Fresh veggies. In terms of quality and taste, I'd give them a 7.6 out of 10. Really good, but it's chain. Basic. The Thai hot is like a mild at a genuine Thai restaurant. No option for double Thai hot. But again, it's quick and easy. I'm on a lunch break and it's across the street. Otherwise I might seek more authentic Thai food. But not bad. Way better than fast food. I appreciate what Thai Chili does. read more

Saw a post on a neighborhood page & went on their opening day. The food was a disaster. We are asian & always get Thai Hot from every Thai place we order. Their "Thai Hot" Is to kill their customers. It is so hot no one can eat it. Even in Thailand they don't serve Thai Fried Rice this spicy. Seriously what are these guys trying to do? Kill people? It was like they cooked with just a bottle of chilli paste in hand. Threw away the 2 portions of Fried Rice, the Thai Red Curry & the Soup we ordered. I was not going to risk getting heartburn & being sick with this food. I was half a mind to walk in there & let them know. Will never go there again. We ordered dinner from here on Father's Day. Our order included two orders of yellow curry which is supposed to include potatoes in the curry, neither of our dishes had any. We ordered noodles on the side to accompany the curry and both came in containers that were half full. With the lack of potatoes, and inadequate amount of noodles, it was thin and unsubstantial. Very happy this location opened up. We love it for a fast to-go dinner. Prices are lower than other Thai restaurants in the area. Portions are generous. Food is very good, albeit a little lower on the spice scale. I usually go up one spice level compared to other restaurants; Mild has almost no heat while Thai Hot is very spicy but could sometimes be hotter.
