    Chicken Classic Meal with Broth
    Brian H.

Did a takeout order and was Very impressed. All the dishes sound and look great. Went with the Traditional Chicken Thigh dish and couldn't be more happy with my choice. Chicken was very moist and over a bed of rice with their sauce was a great combination. People were friendly and the restaurant seemed very clean. Will continue to support this small business.

Our first time here. We had the half fried and half composed of hainan chicken and which was served with garlicky sauce while Fried chicken was served sweet chili sauce. And we had curry puff, curry chicken and Thai tea. They were pretty good.

My first time trying this place and it was really good. Love the half and half option for indecisive people like me who wants to try both crispy and steamed chicken. Each one came with a different sauce. The crispy one came with a sweet and sour sauce and the steamed chicken came with a garlic sauce, both delicious. Loved the cucumbers on the side as well, such a great option for a quick, take out meal. One order was enough for two meals for me. Very satisfying and would order this again next time.

Crizp Chicken, Sweet Chilli Sauce and chicken broth.

When we read customer reviews of Gai'N Rice, we knew that we had to check them out for ourselves. We were not disappointed. We planned to order our food to go and from the moment we entered the restaurant until we left the entire experience was excellent. We were pleasantly greeted by the cashier when we entered. She patiently answered our questions about the food and drinks menu items giving us enough details to help us choose our wonderfully tasty food and drink choices. Kudos to the cashier. Our to go order was bundled to perfection. Along with the two main meal containers, we had small containers of sauce and two medium size containers of broth; but, we found absolutely no spillage or leaking after opening the bag. Nice! We did not have to dip our chicken pieces in the bag or slide it around our counter top. We thoroughly enjoyed the Crizp Chicken, sticky-rice, and dumplings as each was simply scrumptious! In fact, our meal was food coma DELICIOUS. The sweet chilli sauce that came with meal was actually good and not as spicy as I'd thought it would be. I'm not a fan of spicy sauces. The broth was ok, but could have had a little more flavor. Lastly, I must confess that after eating I did settled into a state of bliss that I can only identify as a food coma. That state of bliss was most satisfying and worth repeating. The food is pricey, but worth it. We ordered two drinks. For me - Brown Sugar Herbal Jelly Milk Tea and my hubby - Strawberry Lemonade. I love extra sweet drinks. My drink was both tasty and sweet to my liking. I have added Gai'N Rice to my favorite list of places to order milk teas. I always specify extra sweet when I order milk teas. However, at other places that I've ordered from I ended up receiving a tasteless bland drink, and the added jellies did not add to the flavor. This was not the case with our drinks. Our drinks were YUMMY!!! I give Gai'N Rice 5 stars and 10 forks up. Yes, I will recommend this place to friends, family, and others looking for a good food.

Loved Gai 'N. Rice!, the broth, the rice, the chicken, you cannot go wrong if you get fried or original, it's a matter of preference. Expect to spend money when you get here but you get quality food. The dipping sauce are different for both and they compliment them. Also got the Mango and Sticky rice. Service is fast, pricy but good food, I will let you decide if it's for you but I would def give this place a shot! Sooo delicioso!

I went here on a recommendation. I have been wanting to try this for a while and did not realize it was so close to my home. A bit hard to get to from the street, but OK. I ordered the Rama, which is all breast meat and broccoli with Thai peanut sauce. I say it was just OK, plain chicken breasts with broccoli and peanut sauce, not my idea of an amazing Thai meal. On further review from my fellow Yelpers, I should have gotten the Crispy Chicken, that seemed to be the top hit. Otherwise the resturant has a nice clean look, with a few scattered tables. The price was a little high for what you get but I will try try it again and get the Crispy chicken and do another review.

Friendly and fast service, easily online ordering too for easy takeout. My favorite is the classic with all thigh, while my husband likes the Take 2. Chicken is always moist and their sauce is amazing! Love the chicken broth soup too as a palate cleanser.

I've had this place bookmarked for a while because I'm frequently in the area. However today I finally made time to have lunch here. It did not disappoint. I ordered the Classic meal, which comes with chicken breast and thighs. I liked the thighs more, but the chicken breast was surprisingly juicy. The best part about this meal was my daughter who has an allergy to soy, sesame, gluten and peanuts was able to enjoy a meal. My wife said the staff was kind, understanding and accommodating to my daughter's allergies. We did however find a noodle in the broccoli, which most likely contains gluten. So this leads me to think that the broccoli might be cooked in the same water as the noodles. But my daughter didn't have any allergic reactions so that's a win for us. If your allergies are more severe, I would check on this. I ended up coming back here right before closing for dinner. A tiny bit pricey, but for convenience, flavor and customer service, I'd say it's worth it. Also If you're watching your nutrition, this is a solid place to have a meal high in protein meal. Highly recommended.

We love this place. Have been coming here for years. Service is always fast. We always pick it up and eat at home, but the place looks cozy. The crispy chicken is delightful. We love their curries either with noodles or rice. The chicken thighs with the skin and special sauce is also delicious. Our favorite are also the creamed corn wontons as an appetizer. I've had their teas before and they're also good. This is a regular spot for us. It's just that good.

    Sarah T.

I haven't been here in awhile so I stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't super busy but a few tables left. You order first before you get your food. I tried the curry noodle gai, Crizp-crispy chicken, and mango sticky rice. All were good but my favorite is the curry noodle gai. It was really tasty. Love the curry sauce & love the noodles. The Crizp comes with a side of chicken soup. It was tasty too. Plenty of parking and staff were friendly.

Classic and the Take2 [lean and crispy]

I personally didn't have a lot of expectation from this place, but I was wrong. The chicken was delicious. It was simple buy very good. I enjoyed the side of soup and their dipping sauce. This is a very clean eating and it is delicious! If you are in town, come grab yourself some chicken and rice from here!

Finally tried this place and it didn't disappoint. Real, simple comfort Thai food that refreshes your soul. We got the original/classic chicken and rice and the curry noodle chicken. Both were exceptionally good. Chicken was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The curry version packs a spicy punch that is tolerable to your palate. Restaurant was clean and had a modern vibe and service was fast and courteous.

Khao mun gai: Poached chicken served over fragrant jasmine rice, garnished with cucumber & cilantro, a side bean sauce & chicken broth

I've been wanting to try Gai n Rice for a long time and when I was finally able to make it to Land Park, they unfortunately closed due to a fire! I'm so glad they have reopened in EG. I was conveniently in the area and able to finally give them a go. Really delicious poached chicken/khao mun gai! I was very happy with their preparation and flavor. I like how the skin is on this compared to another place that I frequently buy from. The consommé was amazingly flavorful and the accompanying sauce was one of my favorites. I wish it was a bigger container! For the fried "crizp" style, it was very good but a little too greasy for my preferences. My mom ordered their curry noodles and was not as enthusiastic about it. Service was very friendly and the dining areas were tidy and pleasantly decorated. I ordered to-go and during my wait they let me use their clean bathroom. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying their other menu items like the apps and noodle dishes so I can judge for myself without listening to my mom complain.

One thing that meant a lot to us was that they were able to make the entire food and dessert spread gluten-free so the birthday girl could enjoy everything. That level of care made the night feel really special. The semi-private event setup is also ideal for social gatherings. You get a mix of bar space, cocktail tables, and shared seating, which makes it so much easier for people to move around and mingle. Unlike a long seated dinner where everyone is stuck in one spot, this setup created a really fun, social atmosphere where guests could meet each other and connect throughout the night. The drinks were flowing, the food was delicious, and the whole experience felt effortless from start to finish. Before sitting down, my boyfriend checked with the server regarding availability. We were seated on the patio, our order was taken, and our food was brought out. After that, we were essentially forgotten. We received no follow-up service whatsoever--no check-in to see if we needed anything, no offer for additional drinks, and no inquiry about how the food was. We understood there was only one server working, so we tried to be patient. However, when we were ready to leave, we spent approximately 30 minutes trying to get the server's attention for our check. We repeatedly waved and made eye contact, but he never came outside. Eventually, I walked inside and handed him my card. His response was that they were "not serving the patio" and that he believed he had told us that beforehand. If that is the case, the patio should be closed or clearly marked as unavailable for service. Customers should not be seated, served food, and then ignored for the remainder of their visit. Unfortunately, the food did not make up for the service. The lamb was extremely tough, and the sausage served with the shrimp dish was also hard and overcooked. We're not the type to leave negative reviews, but this experience fell well below what should be expected from any restaurant. We hope management addresses both the service issues and food quality so future customers don't have the same experience.

So we ended up at Aioli tonight with another couple after trying and failing to get in at the place across the street. We weren't unhappy about that as we used to frequent Aioli years ago and always really liked it. I'll just cut to the chase here and say that the problem tonight was the service. Everything seemed really rushed and pacing was poor. Our friends already had their cocktails when we got there, and we each ordered one while checking out the menu., When they arrived, our server asked us for our orders, but we weren't ready, so she came back a short time later. My wife ordered a salad and a tapa plate and was asked whether she wanted the salad ahead of time or with the meal and she said she'd have it with the meal. A short time later, the food came out, with the exception of the salad. It didn't come out for some time, and my wife was just getting ready to tell them not to bother when it arrived. Right after that, they cleared the rest of the plates and asked us if we wanted dessert or coffee. Obviously, she was still working on the salad at that point. So she really did not appreciate the service. I was less unhappy about it, but she certainly had a good point. It was way too rushed and uneven for a place like Aioli. In addition to that, our server just seemed to have a rushed and frantic edge to her, and that didn't help at all We did agree that the food was very good. Her chorizo dish and the salad were both excellent. I had the octopus and the little pork skewers, both of which were fantastic. (That octopus is an absolute classic and everyone should try it.) Fried brussels sprouts were fine - not excellent, but certainly not bad. I liked my cocktail, my wife didn't particularly like hers. So we're averaging this one out to a three. I would have to go back for more data points to see which of the two or four star ratings is really more emblematic of Aioli. Unfortunately, my wife doesn't want to go back. So bottom line: good food, poor service, excellent octopus. Mike sez check it out but beware.
