Got to get the crispy chicken and it was yummy and flavorful! I think the sweet and sour sauce really bright out the flavor. For Thai tea also and it was super refreshing, not too sweet. Plenty of seating and food comes out super fast! Would love to try more of their menu

Came in for the forst time withy girlfriend, who'd actually here several times prior. Which actually made it a lot easier to oder based on her personal suggestions. We both ended up ordering the following: Drinks: Strawberry Soda pop with boba Meals: The Take Two. Half crispy, (dark meat) half light (chicken breast) (2x) The food and drinks were good. I'd probably opt to order the Take Two meal all in half crispy as that my preferred type of chicken; my girlfriend prefers the Half light option more. As it's more meat amd less fat, I just find it less flavorful in general. The young man at the counter was really helpful and friendly, and made ordering really easy.

Stopped by for a quick take out on Friday evening! I've been wanting to try this spot for awhile. There's a small parking lot for the restaurant which is always nice. Service was good. The cashier/service was prompt and friendly with my order. :) Food ordered: Classic & Take2 The classic was fresh and yummy and their chicken breast and thigh with skin wasn't too dry. The rice could have been more fragrant but still very tasty and flavorful. For the Take2 with the mix of half chicken and half crispy.. the crispy chicken was very crispy and perfectly cooked. Really enjoyed this combo! The Take2 comes with their signature sauce and a sweet and sour sauce. I think I prefer the general garlic dipping sauce that they have. It was flavorful and pairs will well with the dish. The sweet and sour sauce was nothing spectacular.. just your normal sweet and spicy sauce! Id rather get more of the other brown garlicy sauce :) both dishes came with a yummy soup ... It was simple yet flavorful. It kinda reminded me of chicken pho broth. Paired well with our chicken and rice dinner! Overall, this place is perfect to satisfy that haineases chicken and rice craving (:

Curry noodle Gai - yellow curry with thin noodles cooked tomatoes, cooked peppers and plenty of chicken..

Nice restaurant with yummy foods - photo display helps you to see what will be served. Hostess/waitress/cashier was so nice and helpful explaining the ingredients, style of cooking and flavoring.

Did a takeout order and was Very impressed. All the dishes sound and look great. Went with the Traditional Chicken Thigh dish and couldn't be more happy with my choice. Chicken was very moist and over a bed of rice with their sauce was a great combination. People were friendly and the restaurant seemed very clean. Will continue to support this small business.

My first time trying this place and it was really good. Love the half and half option for indecisive people like me who wants to try both crispy and steamed chicken. Each one came with a different sauce. The crispy one came with a sweet and sour sauce and the steamed chicken came with a garlic sauce, both delicious. Loved the cucumbers on the side as well, such a great option for a quick, take out meal. One order was enough for two meals for me. Very satisfying and would order this again next time.

Our first time here. We had the half fried and half composed of hainan chicken and which was served with garlicky sauce while Fried chicken was served sweet chili sauce. And we had curry puff, curry chicken and Thai tea. They were pretty good.

    Crisp chicken. Thai Cucumber Salad.

Came here several times. Like the crisp chicken. This is the first time ordering the cucumber salad. WHAT A SURPRISE!!!! It cost me 7.95 and size like my fist.

When we read customer reviews of Gai'N Rice, we knew that we had to check them out for ourselves. We were not disappointed. We planned to order our food to go and from the moment we entered the restaurant until we left the entire experience was excellent. We were pleasantly greeted by the cashier when we entered. She patiently answered our questions about the food and drinks menu items giving us enough details to help us choose our wonderfully tasty food and drink choices. Kudos to the cashier. Our to go order was bundled to perfection. Along with the two main meal containers, we had small containers of sauce and two medium size containers of broth; but, we found absolutely no spillage or leaking after opening the bag. Nice! We did not have to dip our chicken pieces in the bag or slide it around our counter top. We thoroughly enjoyed the Crizp Chicken, sticky-rice, and dumplings as each was simply scrumptious! In fact, our meal was food coma DELICIOUS. The sweet chilli sauce that came with meal was actually good and not as spicy as I'd thought it would be. I'm not a fan of spicy sauces. The broth was ok, but could have had a little more flavor. Lastly, I must confess that after eating I did settled into a state of bliss that I can only identify as a food coma. That state of bliss was most satisfying and worth repeating. The food is pricey, but worth it. We ordered two drinks. For me - Brown Sugar Herbal Jelly Milk Tea and my hubby - Strawberry Lemonade. I love extra sweet drinks. My drink was both tasty and sweet to my liking. I have added Gai'N Rice to my favorite list of places to order milk teas. I always specify extra sweet when I order milk teas. However, at other places that I've ordered from I ended up receiving a tasteless bland drink, and the added jellies did not add to the flavor. This was not the case with our drinks. Our drinks were YUMMY!!! I give Gai'N Rice 5 stars and 10 forks up. Yes, I will recommend this place to friends, family, and others looking for a good food.

Loved Gai 'N. Rice!, the broth, the rice, the chicken, you cannot go wrong if you get fried or original, it's a matter of preference. Expect to spend money when you get here but you get quality food. The dipping sauce are different for both and they compliment them. Also got the Mango and Sticky rice. Service is fast, pricy but good food, I will let you decide if it's for you but I would def give this place a shot! Sooo delicioso!

I went here on a recommendation. I have been wanting to try this for a while and did not realize it was so close to my home. A bit hard to get to from the street, but OK. I ordered the Rama, which is all breast meat and broccoli with Thai peanut sauce. I say it was just OK, plain chicken breasts with broccoli and peanut sauce, not my idea of an amazing Thai meal. On further review from my fellow Yelpers, I should have gotten the Crispy Chicken, that seemed to be the top hit. Otherwise the resturant has a nice clean look, with a few scattered tables. The price was a little high for what you get but I will try try it again and get the Crispy chicken and do another review.

Friendly and fast service, easily online ordering too for easy takeout. My favorite is the classic with all thigh, while my husband likes the Take 2. Chicken is always moist and their sauce is amazing! Love the chicken broth soup too as a palate cleanser.

I've had this place bookmarked for a while because I'm frequently in the area. However today I finally made time to have lunch here. It did not disappoint. I ordered the Classic meal, which comes with chicken breast and thighs. I liked the thighs more, but the chicken breast was surprisingly juicy. The best part about this meal was my daughter who has an allergy to soy, sesame, gluten and peanuts was able to enjoy a meal. My wife said the staff was kind, understanding and accommodating to my daughter's allergies. We did however find a noodle in the broccoli, which most likely contains gluten. So this leads me to think that the broccoli might be cooked in the same water as the noodles. But my daughter didn't have any allergic reactions so that's a win for us. If your allergies are more severe, I would check on this. I ended up coming back here right before closing for dinner. A tiny bit pricey, but for convenience, flavor and customer service, I'd say it's worth it. Also If you're watching your nutrition, this is a solid place to have a meal high in protein meal. Highly recommended.

Is this plain Thai food? I didn't know Thai eat like this? Is it religious food?

I don't think it's a Thai restaurant. They mainly served chicken dishes.

    Is this location halal?

I called the restaurant and they said everything is halal although I just saw they also serve pork items.

When we arrived, the restaurant was lively and buzzing with energy. We were promptly seated at our table and began looking over the menu. To start, I ordered a mocktail while my two girlfriends ordered cocktails. We decided that we were just going to order a variety of tapas and share them, which is exactly why I picked this restaurant. All in all, we ended up ordering the croquettes, the garlic shrimp, the empanadas of the day (which were potato and cheese), the patatas bravas, and a pork dish that I don't remember the name. Eat and every dish was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor. So if you find yourself in the mood for some tapas and want a wonderful, lively atmosphere, come check out Tapa the World.

Before sitting down, my boyfriend checked with the server regarding availability. We were seated on the patio, our order was taken, and our food was brought out. After that, we were essentially forgotten. We received no follow-up service whatsoever--no check-in to see if we needed anything, no offer for additional drinks, and no inquiry about how the food was. We understood there was only one server working, so we tried to be patient. However, when we were ready to leave, we spent approximately 30 minutes trying to get the server's attention for our check. We repeatedly waved and made eye contact, but he never came outside. Eventually, I walked inside and handed him my card. His response was that they were "not serving the patio" and that he believed he had told us that beforehand. If that is the case, the patio should be closed or clearly marked as unavailable for service. Customers should not be seated, served food, and then ignored for the remainder of their visit. Unfortunately, the food did not make up for the service. The lamb was extremely tough, and the sausage served with the shrimp dish was also hard and overcooked. We're not the type to leave negative reviews, but this experience fell well below what should be expected from any restaurant. We hope management addresses both the service issues and food quality so future customers don't have the same experience.

COCKTAILS ONLY REVIEW…read more The cocktails here are superb. I see a lot of hate, but it's all around the food. I don't come to a cocktail bar expecting five-star food; I come for an excellent cocktail, and Juju does them very well. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for relaxing with a drink. They have a variety to cater to every taste and have one of the better penicillins in town - if you know, you know. While the food is good for a quick bite, I come here for a drink, not the best food in Sacramento.

I must say that the soup and entree were both deliciously satisfying. The scoop of vanilla ice cream served at the end was a nice ending to the meal. As far as a beverage, I got the Nitty's Cider. It was a decent hard cider drink to enjoy. The server during my dining experience was Yolanda. I was appreciative of her hospitality, as it was beyond amiable and attentive. The service totally enhanced my visit. The restaurant had a lovely, inviting ambiance. It was a colorful, vibrant atmosphere met with amazing Spanish music playing.
